Nothing but WOWs and raves from all the quests. Totally professional and flexible as they moved from the chapel to reception area without missing a beat. The music was great and folks who felt the urge took to dancing on the porch.

The Goodtime Stringband was a wonderful addition to our wedding! All of our guests really enjoyed the music from ceremony seating music through dancing til the end of the night - such a welcome change from a DJ and the music is really good too! The day-of they were so helpful - on time, took care of everything and even downloaded our recessional song for us as soon as we realized we left our iPod at the hotel, which was as we were lining up to walk down the aisle! They set up a great mic system for toasts during dinner, and did a great job helping us and working with us on timing for things like first dance, father/daughter dance, etc. Before the event they were very responsive, friendly and enthusiastic. Perhaps above all else, they learned the song we wanted as our processional so we could have an extra special live version instead of playing it on the iPod (and then played it again as the last song of the evening!). I highly highly recommend contacting the Goodtime Stringband for music for your wedding.

The music, vocals, and instrumentals were fabulous. The father/daughter dance of "Mom and Dad's Waltz" was perfect in so many ways. And the band was extremely accommodating - moving outdoors with guests when the barn got too hot.

The Good Time String Band played our Berkshire Barn Wedding's ceremony and cocktail hour music, and they were awesome. Our guests raved about them, some wanted to hear the music more than to socialize! When we asked them to play for the ceremony, we wondered how they would pull off the classical songs, and how the blue grass pro and re-cessionals would work. It all came together perfectly; pretty and restrained processional, a straight version on Pachelbel's Cannon, and a bright and joyous recessional, all instrumental. The cocktail hour brought the vocals and the toe-tapping, if we had a larger space there would have been dancing. The band was very flexible, a pleasure to work with, and generally made things easy.
Could not be happier, highly recommend the GTSB!

An extremely talented group. Very professional and friendly. The Willowdale Estate found them to be the best band they have ever had in all the weddings they have hosted! They cater to the young the old and everyone in between.
Bishop Farm B&B was so pleased to have the Goodtime Stringband for a Friday night welcome dinner as part of a weekend wedding we hosted. I cannot explain how thrilled I am that we were able to bring the Goodtime Stringband up to our venue! Working with Andy before the event in coordinating was a breeze and their performance the evening of was perfection! The whole band was friendly and so talented and just a joy to be around. Hopefully we can get them back up here again sometime soon!
We had the please working with The Goodtime String Band last summer! The were they a joy to listen to :) Paula and I highly recommend them for any event!
Working alongside the Goodtime Stringband was a pleasure! Not only are they very talented musically, but professional in every sense. Andy Sicard was great about communicating prior to the wedding day, to help insure that the ceremony would flow seamlessly. They bring a refreshing change to the table, as music is considered for an event. I would whole heartedly recommend this group for any sort of ceremony, celebration, or event where good music would be appropriate and appreciated!
About New England's Goodtime Stringband
The Goodtime Stringband is comprised of Kirsten Lamb on upright bass, clawhammer banjo and vocals, Alice Malone on fiddle, Bob Sevigny on guitar and Andy Sicard on mandolin.
Our bluegrass wedding band originally formed in 2006 ago out of the friendships developed through local jams and festivals. Since coming together, The GTSB has performed at fundraisers, dozens of weddings, dances, company parties, outdoor festivals, parties, pubs and even in a major motion picture!
The group plays bluegrass, swing, honky tonk and danceable fiddle tunes by artists such as Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Johnny Cash, Flatt & Scruggs, Dolly Parton and Alison Krauss. We can provide ceremony music, cocktail reception music, and dancing music for your reception!
The Goodtime Stringband appears in the movie
“Furry Vengenace.” This family comedy was filmed in Topsfield, MA and stars Brendan Fraser, Brooke Shields and Ken Jeong. The band appears onstage during the
film’s climatic Forest Festival scene. After we perform for the Rocky Springs crowd, Neal Lyman (played by Ken Jeong) is confronted by Dan Sanders (Brendan Fraser) about the harm his housing development project is doing to the
environment and wildlife. So as not to give any more of the movie away, we will just say that mayhem ensues!
