A Gracious Event

Sue made my daughters wedding dress. My daughter couldn't find exactly what she wanted anywhere. She was so easy to work with and really understood my daughters vision. Her workmanship is outstanding.

We contacted Laurie at the beginning of August because we knew we wanted a backyard wedding, but we were worried that it would be too much work for us and our family. What we wanted most was for all our family and friends to be able to just come to our wedding and have a good time. I also did not want us to have to worry about coordinating anything on our wedding day. Laurie and her staff did that for us in 6 weeks. We gave Laurie our ideal wedding date, and she set up meetings for us with the available vendors. She got the photographer, tent company, florist, minister, musician, caterer and the wedding favors. She also recommended the bakery where we got our cake and then picked it up for us the day of the wedding. Because Laurie has so much experience in event planning she was able to assemble a wedding team that seemed to us to work flawlessly together. Laurie and her fellow staff member, Amber, were even at the wedding to set up and coordinate everything throughout the ceremony and reception. We used the same chairs for the ceremony and reception, but I don't even remember seeing them move them because they were so fast. It was a stress free wedding.
Throughout the planning period, Laurie was easily accessible to answer questions that I had. In a short period of time she was able to expand on our few ideas and create a fantastic, relaxing wedding ceremony and reception for us. A Gracious Event was well worth the money.
