A Matter of Taste

The moment I tasted Tama's cake at a bridal show, I knew we would not find a rival. We tried other bakeries, but all other cakes tasted spongey. Tama's cakes taste just how a cake should: light and fluffy with the right amount of frosting and filling. Going to our tasting was a treat in itself; we got to try four different flavors and take the 10in cakes home with us! We froze them and ate them throughout the year and they still tasted great right out of the freezer. Our flavors: vanilla with Bavarian cream filling, lemon with lemon filling and the berries and cream. I couldn't get enough. Our guests commented on how delicious they were, too. Tama make great cakes and decorates them to your liking as well. The best part...on our one year anniversary, we get a fresh cake as part of the package! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved Tama!! We did not want a traditional wedding cake and she worked so well with us and our idea. She made a fantasic cheesecake wedding cake with different flavors for us. She was so willing to work with us and ended up designing a beautiful and wonderful wedding cake. We would highly recommend Tama to anyone!

A little pricey but very custom. She was very responsive to our needs and was more than willing to accomidate. Our cake was perfect..even though I only got one bite. The guests enjoyed the cake very much and I cant wait for our anniversary cake.

The cakes were absolutely the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. We gave her a picture of a motorcycle for our grooms cake and she was able to do it. Other cake companies turned us down. The brides cake was exactly like the picture. Excellent price as well

WONDERFUL!! Cakes are beautiful.. She listens to what you like, shows pictures to get an idea of how "out of the box" or "smack in the middle of the box" you are. Offers great suggestions; Cake is AMAZING!!! moist, but not too moist. I wanted to hug her after our first meeting!! would never sacrafice quality of her product. First impression of her is that each and every cake she makes is like her "baby" puts a lot of thought and effort into making it perfect!!! Highly Recommend, you would be crazy to not at least give her a chance.

We met Tama at a tasting at Hudson Gardens and realized we HAD to have her cake at our wedding. We had three different flavors. Everyone that had the cake raved at how wonderful it was! They commented not only how great it tasted, but how great it looked as well! We were very happy with A Matter of Taste!

Tama was great to work with, and made the most delicious wedding cake I've had. Would absolutely recommend.

I only give Tama 3 stars for Professionalism because her website is terrible and she is not up to date with the times in that aspect of checking e-mail and such!

Out of everything that happened at my wedding, the one thing that stands out in my mind and that will be remembered most by my guests is by far my cake. It turned out perfectly and was absolutely delicious. My sister also used this cake company and was just as thrilled, which is why I picked the same lady. Planning the cake was so easy, and fun, as Tama (the owner) is very knowledgeable and understanding. She was always extremely receptive to any ideas I had or any changes that came about. Even when the cake had to be modified to accommodate a larger cake topper than we had planned Tama was extremely easy to work with and she accommodated the changes without any problems. Besides how beautiful my cake turned out and how easy she is to work with I'm also extremely happy with the fact that you get a fresh cake for your one year anniversary instead of freezing the top layer. Maybe this isn't exactly following tradition since it's not your actual wedding cake but I'm definitely looking forward to our one year anniversary because of this special treat!

Our photographer recommended Tama with A Matter of Taste and we were not displeased. When we set up a cake tasting, she had three full cakes ready for us to try and sent us home with the extras! I wanted a particular type of cake that no one else was willing to try and she searched for a recipe and it was absolutely wonderful.

She even made an additional topper for us a month later because my husband didn't feel like he got enough cake on the big day!
