Jennifer and her staff absolutly made our wedding day beautiful, and as easy as possible. While planning a wedding is by nature, stressful, I could always rest easy at the end of the day knowing that Jen wouldn't let anything slip through the cracks. She always responded to e-mails in a timely fashion, and if she didn't know the answer to something (which was very rare), she would always try her hardest to find out. Her favorite response was "don't worry, I'll take care of it," which was exactly what I needed most days.
As far as our wedding day itself, it went off without a hitch. To be honest, when I was at the salon getting ready, I wasn't even thinking about all the hard work going on behind the scenes. I wasn't concerned at all - I knew that I could just show up and everything would be all set, and it was.
I highly reccomend Jennifer and a Moment In Time. She was truly worth every penny, and our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without her help.

Jen House is WONDERFUL - She totally made my wedding :) I hired Jen about 2 months before our wedding and she totally pulled our wedding together. She coordinated everything with such ease and I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of - we were seriously just able to enjoy everything that was going on. It was so nice to go through the day know that she and her team were on our side taking care of everything. She made the reception venue pull together and it was gorgeous. Jen was a dream to work with, she was so organized and kept us on track. Weekly emails were helpful. Jen was our florist too, and her execution of our vision was better than we dreamed. She had lots of ideas we never even thought of. She was very familiar with our church and many venues for a reception. Her list of recommended vendors was amazing. I don't think we could have done anything better and will certainly use her again and recommend her to all our friends. A real joy to work with.

I was referred to Jen by one of my best friends, and now I'll certainly be paying the favor forward. I've recommended her to several of my friends so far and will continue to recommend her to anyone and everyone else! My Mom and I are both hyper-organized and we had more than a year to plan my wedding, so I initially didn't think we needed a wedding planner. However, when the big day is getting close there are so many details to worry about (not just fun details, but tedious ones, like calling vendors to confirm everything and getting tips together), and it was so nice to have Jen take care of that so we could focus on more important things. Jen also did all of my flowers-- I was a very "particular" bride in that I knew exactly what I wanted and could see it in my head. I did my best to explain it to Jen, but it was like she saw my vision before I even had the words out. When my new husband and I got to the reception venue and walked into the main room before anyone else was in there and I saw the vision come together, I was literally speechless. I couldn't believe someone could have taken all of my random pictures and inarticulate descriptions and actually SEEN what I wanted, then made it real. It was even better than I imagined. Jen's gift is that she listens and genuinely does her best to get inside each bride's head to give them exactly what they're envisioning. She's such a warm, open person which makes her great to work with (more like talking to an old friend that just happens to know everything there is to know about weddings) and her personality and incredible reputation are reflected in her extensive network of continuously-vetted vendors. She seems to know everyone and is completely straightforward when making recommendations. She's up-front about prices and never pressures you into anything more expensive than you want, is honest and realistic about what is and is not possible, and it is so reassuring knowing that she has everything under control and is a true professional. My wedding ended up being everything I could have wanted and it all happened seamlessly. Jen had a HUGE part in making that possible, and I can't thank her--or recommend her to others--enough!

A Moment in Time coordinated our wedding this July and they did a fabulous job! It was very comforting throughout the planning process and especially on the day of to have someone that we trusted and knew would take care of any problems if they arose! I was able to enjoy our day because I knew Jen and her staff had everything under control. She was extremely helpful during the planning process as well, giving us great vendor recommendations, helpful tips, and doing all of our floral decorations in addition to overseeing our day. I used Jen for florals and her and Kendall were amazing! Met with her in her office a few and she was very accomodating with scheduling and understood every detail I was interested in :) She was very hands on and included me in some last minute changes she made due to flowers not looking how she hoped. She was also amazing with her glassware rentals when she restocked her inventory shortly before my wedding with peices I was looking for. My husband and I live out of state and chose to have our wedding in Michigan. As someone who had been in more than seven weddings, and witnessed how stressed out a bride and groom can be, I knew that we had to have help. From the moment I first spoke with her I felt comfortable, and I was thrilled to hear about all of her affordable rate options. Jen guided us through choosing venues and vendors, used her connections to get us the best deals, helped us stay within our budget, kept us on task, stayed connected to our vendors, and on our wedding day, she and her staff handled every possible problem efficiently. I hired Jen as my day of coordinator because were getting married in Michigan and we currently live in Virginia. I thought it would be helpful to have someone there coordinating since I was out of state. That being said, I would hire her in an instant even if I lived in Michigan. She helped me by providing vendor lists, spoke with me several times before our wedding day, and was always responsive to emails. She really just makes you feel at ease about everything as soon as you speak with her. Her and Kendell were AMAZING (I wish I was able to underline that 5 times in this review) the day of our wedding. Their organization and execution of everything was perfect. They are also just extremely nice and easy to work with. I didn't have to worry about a single thing the entire evening. They also brought me drinks throughout the night when I needed them, which was an extra bonus. My now husband, father, in-laws, and really everyone was just overly impressed with them. I kept telling people that I wished they were in my life all the time to keep me on track!
We also had Jen design our flowers, and they were beautiful! I gave her a few ideas when we met and it turned out better than I imagined. Everyone was raving about our centerpieces, bouquets, and overall floral decor.
Jen's services were worth much more than we paid her (in my opinion) and I would not hesitate to hire her for your event. I highly recommend A Moment in Time.

After I booked all my vendors for my wedding-photographer, florist, venue, lighting, etc. etc. I realized that I would not be able to coordinate eveyone and everything on the day of my wedding, so I hired A Moment in Time Wedding Plannning as "day of coordinators".
Jen House and Kendall Goddard are fantastic at what they do! They really take control of everything the week before-contacting vendors arranging delievery times etc. etc., organize the rehearsal, and take control of all coordination on the day of the wedding.
I had a few issues arise at the wedding and Kendall handled them very professionally. As far as my guests knew, the wedding went off without a hitch!
The best part of hiring AMIT is that I was really able to enjoy my day with my family and friends!

EVERY METRO DETROIT BRIDE NEEDS TO FIND A WAY TO HIRE JEN HOUSE! She is THE best decision we made in our wedding planning process.
Simply put, Jen House is AMAZING! She was seriously my wedding savior who delivered me the most BEAUTIFUL wedding I could've imagined. She is so professional, yet completely down to earth. I was SO impressed by her quick responses to emails and loved her weekly "Top 5" Emails with awesome wedding tips she would send to her clients. Jen really went above and beyond to deliver us the wedding day of our dreams and I do not believe things would've been as beautiful and go as smoothly without her and her team.
She was also our florist and all I can say is WOW. Our flowers were GORGEOUS. I am talking jaw-dropping gorgeous here people. Our guests commented on them ALL night. Again, Jen went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the product---3 days before the wedding she emailed me a picture of some of the flowers for my bouquet to make sure I was ok with the color of the pink they were, as they bloomed brighter than expected (they were stunning). Seriously, what other florist would take the time to do that??!! NONE. Her prices are great for both coordination services and floral design. Especially considering the level of detail and attention you will receive.
I promise you Jen is the best money you can spend on your wedding. Having her there the day of alone is worth every penny. She is a coordinator and florist who is really on your side and wants to deliver you your dream wedding. For me, that was priceless.

My "Moment in Time" was May 8, 2010 with 300 of our closest friends and family. "A Moment In Time" provided my day of coordination and floral design. However, they did a lot more than provide those things. They provided peace of mind, allowed me to maintain my sanity, and created a magical day for us. These things were priceless.
I contacted Jen halfway through my wedding planning process. I knew what I wanted my wedding to be but I needed someone to execute it. I worked full-time and surely didn’t have the oodles of hours needed to pull off a wedding extravaganza in 8 months. I needed someone that I could trust to pay attention to all the details as if it were their own wedding. I found that in Jen and her staff. From the moment I met her, I knew she was the one for us. She was passionate, attentive, organized, and an absolute pleasure to work with.
It was the little things that made the difference -- her weekly tips and suggestions, her caring spirit that was always there when I felt lost making decisions, and their attention to every detail of the wedding. A few days before my wedding, I handed over all of my stuff to them with confidence. I knew it was going to be taken care of and perfect the wedding day. Sure enough, it was. That day would not have been the same without them.
Let's talk about floral design -- my flowers were gorgeous, affordable, and unique. Honestly, people were begging to take the flowers home after the wedding because they were so beautiful. I had tall centerpieces, short centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnières, carnation balls, side flower arrangements -- you name it, they did it! Each design was special, elegant, and created this amazing mood in the room. It was breathtaking.

Jen & her staff are the reason I enjoyed my wedding day. I was so stressed with all the planning of it but I knew that when the day-of came, she would be there and everything would be taken care of and I could breath. Sure enough that is exactly what happened. I just didn't want to have to delegate my family and/or bridal party to help with wedding set up I wanted them to enjoy the day as well and I didn't want anyone "working". My wedding was just this past NYE, and my husband and I agree without a doubt that hiring A Moment in Time and Jen was the best decision we made for this wedding. We were planning from across the country in Tucson, AZ, so multiple trips home was not an option for us. We went home only once in our year and a half of planning, and I am happy to say the day went flawlessly.
We trusted Jen to help us find the best vendors, and to keep us on task as the months progressed. To this end, she was perfect. When it was time to pick a vendor, she would send us her top recommendations and we would pick from there. Once we had hired someone, she was their point of contact to keep plans moving steadily forward. She was also excellent about always "over-communicating" with us - we always knew what plans were progressing and what she needed from us.
The day of was where Jen truly shined. We hired her to do our flowers which turned out stunning. In addition, she kept us on time with all the requirements and kept all details in check so we could enjoy our celebration. Even when the waiters accidentally swiped our personal champagne flutes which were a gift from my mother, Jen and her team found it back in the kitchen and returned it. Our wedding day went beyond all our hopes for how wonderful it would be - knowing that we coudl enjoy that celebration and not worry about details was one of the best parts of the whole experience.
Above all, while our wedding was not expensive in the grand scheme of things, Jen treated us as though we were a top paying client every step of the way. She kept us on budget (if not under!) and we always felt just as important as the big spenders. If you are looking for custom service with a pro, you will not be disappointed by hiring A Moment in Time.

I researched many day of coordinators before I chose a MIT. I read many of the reviews and I agree with all of the great things that all the brides have said. Kendall was my DOC and she did a GREAT job!!!! The whole day went better than I even expected. Everything was extremely organized and set up exactly how I wanted it!!!
I definately recommend a MIT to anyone I know that is getting married.

It is very difficult to write a reviews because everyone comes from different backgrounds, personalities, circumstances and expectations. If you are similar to me and my experiences you will really appreciate this review. If not, just take it for what its worth: Jen and her team are 5 star + caliber.
1st off, my wife and I live out of state in Arizona. This is a totally different thing than planning a wedding were you can just go and drive to the reception hall, smell the flowers you are going to pick for the tables, meet face to face with every vendor. It was Jen and her team that made us not only at ease, but handled all the specific tasks and questions IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER in getting us the necessary information to make solid decisions.
Now most of you are familiar with the term "Bridezilla" well it isn't too often, but in our case it was most likely "Groomzilla". What I loved so much about working with Jen and her team is they allowed my personality and quest for the perfect wedding (in my mind) to happen. They didn't try to steer me down the route they thought was best, they rather guided us down river making sure we were comfortable, excited, and on target with our tasks and budget.
We are all consumers and want pretty much want the same things: Good service, solid execution, at a good price. I couldn't be more happy. The other great part to A Moment In Time is they have a solid web of vendors that all work cohisively to make your day special. Photographer, Videographer, Cake maker, Linens, etc were all excellent. It is truly a one stop shop with Jen, and to top it all off she has not only established great relations with these vendors to get you the best possible pricing but she knows the reception places very well. This is huge.
A quick run thru of some nice touches:
- Always smiled when talking on the phone or in person
- Sent easy to use templates to create and track our guest lists, budget, etc
- Did an amazing job with our flowers for the event
- Was in constant communication and was very good about keeping us on track
- Invitations were high quality and very detailed and her team put them all together
- Help us understand the whole process IN DETAIL
- Truly made Lily and I feel like a King and Queen during the whole day/evening
- Was open to my ideas and did their best to improve and or modify them for the best result.
- WORTH EVERY PENNY
- This isn't some "I want to be a wedding planner so I did it" company. This is a professional, get shit done, experienced deal here. You are in some of the best hands in the Midwest forsure.
- I would text Jen, and within 0-5 min I would get a response. Even on the dumb pointless questions.
Plain and simple: If you want the wedding that you have been thinking of, let Jen and A Moment In Time help you create it. They are the best there is in Michigan. Period.

I have to say, I am still speechless. Jen and her team were flawless. I was always amazed that everytime I had a question throughout the planning, or we were in need of changing things around how accomidating and understanding the entire team was. They were wonderful at putting our minds at ease, and assuring us that everything was progressing wonderfully! You don't know how it will feel to be a bride to be until you are one, so when I would experience unexpected emotion or concern, Jen was always the most comforting voice for me! My husband and I truly felt like royalty the entire wedding day and night, and I especially loved how I always had a cold drink in hand thanks to Jen's assistanct Kendall! The entire team was always smiles from ear to ear, and were always right on point. I can guarantee one thing...our wedding would not have been a success should A Moment In Time not be such a vital part of it all. We hired Jen as our day of coordinator for our wedding on NYE, but we had to postpone the wedding. When I was doing the planning for our new date... I actually asked for a refund, because I was trying to save money. I'm so happy that we weren't able to get it back! I planned an outside wedding and reception with us doing our own music (ipod) and was glad to have a day of coordinator. Jen was unable to work with us, since someone else booked her first. We were bummed since we liked her so much... and she told us we would work with Kendall (another girl on her team). I'll be honest I was a little skeptical...but when I met Kendall... she put all my fears aside. She was awesome! Our intial meeting we met for almost 2 hours! She was very thorough. She didn't even seem to mind when I called her a bunch of times the night before the wedding. The day of the wedding she worked with Charlie (Jen's husband)... everything was perfect! They improvised... it was windy and chilly... people getting bad directions at the ceremony site. She made everything run so smoothly! My family even raved about how great she was. If you aren't able to work with Jen for some reason, have no fear about Kendall. She is such a great asset to this company.
If anyone is trying to do what I did... plan an outside wedding and reception... without a DJ (they help more than you think!)... hiring a day of coordinator is well worth the money. We were very budget conscious... but I'm glad we didn't skimp of this service.

Jen House cares! It is this special quality in her personality that sets her apart. She has a passion for what she does and it is reflected throughout the entire wedding planning process. From our first meeting to the final thank you hugs after the wedding, she was amazing! She is organized and knowledgeable. She shares creative, helpful, and informative information. She listens. Jen and her team were fabulous in every way. I originally went to her to look into "day-of" services, but immediately knew I wanted her help throughout the whole process (not just on the wedding day!). She understood my mother's and my needs and desires quite quickly and I felt almost instantly like she perfectly understood how I wanted our wedding day to turn out. She was never pushy or insistent about things, but rather let us vocalize our ideas and help us make them a reality. She didn't even flinch when I said I wanted pies instead of cake or a succulent in my bouquet! She was quick to respond to emails and always had helpful hints for how to do things creatively, etc.
Jen also ended up doing our flowers (which were a steal, by the way, compared to retail shops) and they were gorgeous. She took my garbled description of what I wanted ("um, something rustic but elegant without being stuffy") and turned it into a masterpiece. People were gushing over the flower all night.
The day-of went flawlessly and I never felt like I had to spend a minute worrying about timing or paying vendors or anything else. My mother also said she felt like she was completely "off duty" because Jen had it handled. It was such a joy to work with her!

Jen House and her team were outstanding. A Moment In Time provided "day of" wedding consulting for us (we had 2 ceremonies due to the multicultural nature of our relationship) and organized the flower arrangements for the wedding party, the church ceremony, the Persian ceremony, and the reception. Everything was wonderful. We had 3 very helpful and productive meetings over the course of about 9 months with Jen. She helped us break down our "day of schedule" as well, which was very handy. She and her team were involved with the set up at the church, at the Persian ceremony, and at the reception from beginning to end of the day. They dealt with all major/minor mishaps and allowed us to just have fun. Highly highly recommend their team.

Jen was great. She was there for everything we needed all the way up to the wedding. She worked out a package that would fit our small budget but still give us what we needed. The flowers were beautiful beyond belief. Jen and her team at A Moment In Time are completely responsible for helping my fiance and I have not only an absolutely gorgeous wedding, but a fun wedding planning process and a relaxed day for both our families as well as us. My parents raved about her and we couldn't have been more happy with her service and her team. Jen House and her staff at A Moment In Time were wonderful throughout the wedding process. The main reason my husband and I decided to get a wedding coordinator was because we wanted to enjoy our day and not be concerned with any details the day of - we DEFINITELY enjoyed our day! A friend of mine commented on how at most weddings either the bride, groom or both are usually stressed out dealing with behind the scenes issues however he said that not once did we even seem stressed out. I can honestly say that the only reason was because I knew that Jen and her staff were there to take care of everything for us...
Not only was Jen my coordinator, she was also my florist. My flowers and centerpieces turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. She exceeded my expectations! She also connected me with the best vendors who were very thorough, meticulous, and professional. I had MANY issues with my reception venue (the one area I booked myself "pre-Jen") and Jen had no problems stepping in and taking care of things for me (thank you!).
All I can say is that our wedding day was perfect. Everything was amazing, the whole day ran smoothly, and Jen and her staff were there til the very last minute. I would recommend every bride to hire Jen, it's the best investment you will ever make!

Jen & her staff were amazing. They really took a lot off of our shoulders, especially my Wife's!! Wedding planning can be so stressful, and without Jen, it may not have ever happened. She really was there for everything we needed and more. Her vendor suggestions were great and we ended up saving a lot of money not only through her vendor contacts, but as well as the flowers (since Jen was also our florist!). The ceremony & reception site decor was spectacular and it really was the best wedding I've ever seen ( not being biased cause it was our own ).
I would suggest anyone looking for a wedding planner to choose A Moment in Time as well as getting the "FULL Package". We got the package just below the "FULL" one, and I must say the extra money for the Full package would've been worth it.

Jennifer and her staff at a moment in time were amazing. I met her through my sister who is a wedding photographer. I was happy to find someone who was personal, had reasonable prices and who worked with my fiancé and I to see exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Jen was so easy to talk to, very nice and friendly and still very professional.
At the wedding she personally dropped off our flowers even though she had another wedding that day. The flowers were better then anything I could've imagined and even more then I wanted. We ended up having a few less tables at the reception so she filled the centerpieces she had to make them fuller. They were beautiful and they looked like they should've cost much more. People were asking if they could buy the centerpieces. I got so many compliments on the flowers all day, thank you so much for your beautiful work. I was always amazed that everytime I had a question throughout the planning, or we were in need of changing things around how accomidating and understanding the entire team was. They were wonderful at putting our minds at ease, and assuring us that everything was progressing wonderfully! You don't know how it will feel to be a bride to be until you are one, so when I would experience unexpected emotion or concern, Jen was always the most comforting voice for me! In addition, we had an unusual event occur, and Jennifer was a tremendous help to us during this time. My father-in-law-to-be passed away suddenly a week before our scheduled wedding date. they did for my wedding as well as the rehearsal. I was not worried or stressed at all that day about how things were going and either was my husband, thanks to everything they did. As I looked around me throughout the day, I saw family and friends who were relaxed and having a great time. That was a priceless gift to me. We both received positive feedback from family members about the help the coordinators provided.
I knew from the beginning that my decision to hire a coordinator was the right
thing to do for me, although my husband was not convinced initially. After the
wedding he told me that he changed his mind about the concept of a wedding

deal coming from my penny pinching husband!
Besides the leadership, organization, troubleshooting and attending to
details they provided during the day, they were so easy going and

I highly recommend Jennifer! In fact, even if I tried I couldn't find anything to complain about as far as she is concerned. I hired her as a day-of coordinator for my wedding and I have to say she was our best vendor. In my opinion she went above and beyond what we paid her for, and then some. When it came to my wedding, I was pretty picky about getting everything just right. I have to say that I absolutely have no complaints regarding my wedding. My day went smoothly. She was great about communicating with me, EXTREMELY professional, yet approachable, and I really got the sense that she was truly committed to making MY wedding as wonderful as it could be. And she was organized...I'm a computer programmer and TOTALLY too organized when it comes to important things (especially my wedding). I totally trusted her because I could tell she had things together, and she definitely did.
She was also there for me to bounce ideas off of or to answer my questions when I had them. She was always on time to our meetings and my husband and I were truly pleased with her from the initial interview.
I also had a unique situation on two aspects. 1) I got married at a cider mill DURING business hours, so we were not allowed to set up before the day of the wedding (PLUS we had to have everything brought in, since it didn't have any of the usual amenities that a church would). Jen, Julie, and Jen's husband came and set up the entire ceremony site (including all of my DIY items) and set up the reception hall as well. Everything was set up exactly how I wanted it (Jen made sure that she understood where I wanted things and confirmed with me at the rehearsal). And, it allowed my family (and ME!) to enjoy the day without worrying how things were set up.
2) We were concerned (with good reason) that a few individuals might try to crash our wedding. Jen's husband helped us with "security" and made sure that they weren't allowed in. Now, we didn't have any incidents, but knowing he was there was a HUGE weight off of our shoulders. It was a service provided because we were in need. We were very grateful for it!
We also used Jen for chair covers and they looked great! Jen and her husband came and picked them up at the end of the night. It worked out great!
Oh! And, Jen also took pictures of my reception site after it was set up because my photographer wasn't going to have time to get there and get pictures before everyone got there. She sent them to me after we returned from our honeymoon and they are the only pictures that I have of the reception like that. If she hadn't been willing to do that for me, I never would have seen what the hall really looked like before everyone arrived, and that was very important to me, considering all of the work I put into the little details.
I initially didn't want to hire a day-of coordinator because we were trying to save money, but after a few "bridezilla" moments, I started thinking it might be worth it. I found Jen and interviewed a few other coordinators as well. Jen was the best fit, hands down. I thought my husband would think I had lost my mind when I suggested that we spend the money for someone to coordinate what *I* had planned, but to my surprise, after he met with Jen, he thought it was a great idea. That little bit of money for the piece of mind that we had was nothing in the grand scheme of it.
I've been recommending Jen on The Knot for over a year now, because I could tell how wonderful she was even before I worked with her. I feel even stronger about it now. Good luck with your wedding planning and let me know if there is anything else you would like to know!

Jen was great to work with. She did DOC and bouquets for me. She was always quick to respond to emails, which is really important to me. She had lots of creative ideas and also encouraged me with the ideas I came up with.
I think a DOC was a good investment, I wanted to do my own centerpieces and there is no way I would have been able to set them up myself. Cobblestone Farm was our reception site, and they don't let you in early to set up. Jen made sure that everything looked perfect so that my family didn't have to stress out about setting up. Jen also knew what to do during the rehearsal, so she could help out when our site coordinator didn't really know what she was doing. I think its important to find someone who not only has a creative eye, but also has experience knowing what happens during a wedding.
As for flowers, they turned out beautifully! I loved all the bouquets, Jen obviously spent a lot of time perfecting them.

Jen was great! She got us in touch with the best vendors! Our wedding day was a great success and it had a lot to do with all of Jen's planning! My only issue was that it was hard to work easily together since I was an out of town bride. All communication had to be made via e-mail or telephone and sometimes things weren't clear with this method of communication from both ends (mine too!). I did feel like the e-mail communication when I would ask Jen to help with a vendor should have been more than cut and paste / forwarding my e-mail. I will say that I did love Jen! It was just a little more complicated due to me being an out of town bride. But I totally recommend her for other brides. She definitely helped with the stress and kept things running smoothly all night long!

I really thought that after several meetings that my wedding would run smoothly. I was a laid back bride and left most of the fine details up to the wedding planner, after all she is the professional. Well on the wedding day, I only had one planner show up after I was told two would be there to support my day. Because only one did show up, she couldn't complete all the tasks by herself so she asked for help from the caterer's wait-staff. Because of this our table were COMPLETELY off! My parents sat across the room from us along with other members of the bridal party! I found this to be unacceptable, but by the time I realized it, everyone had already been sat, as I was told pre-ceremony, some of the table were out of order but the important ones weren't. On top of which, she forgot to set out my favors.
My day was truly perfect because I married my best friend, but these mishaps really made it hard to over look how it "should" have been.

I am so saddened to read this review. I am definitely a business owner who subscribes to the ideal that the "customer is always right". I am the first to admit my faults or mis-steps- though few and far between ;) But seriously, I believe strongly in making amends, especially in business.
However, I am so disheartened to read this due to the fact that many of the pieces of the story are missing. In most cases I would turn the other cheek and let it roll off my back. However, we have been reviewed fairly by many, many brides & grooms and I don't feel this review is fair.
First and foremost- I was your "Day of" wedding coordinator. I was not your "wedding planner" as you stated. There is a big difference. And as your "Day of" coordinator I can only be as organized as you allow me to be. We make a point of setting our "day of" clients up for success. Providing them with all of the lists, proper documents and templates to give the client and our team a great platform from which to do our very best. However, you provided me with very little correct information and much of it was at the very last minute.
With no time to review your details (most of which was provided to me only hours before the ceremony) and a seating chart that was incorrect as well as layed out incorrectly it was VERY difficult to do my job. Unfortunately you did not use our templates which would have allowed us to see where your VIP tables were, which would then have allowed us (even with only 1 hour to set up and entire tent full of tables) to make corrections and move the table names to the correct tables. Unfortunately, I'd be happy to take the blame for this, but your tent diagram was not correct and your seating template was not the seating template we asked you to use. We have systems and templates set in place for this exact reason. You are right we are the "professionals" and though I begged and pleaded for your information in the days leading up, unfortunately you did not provide it in time for me to study or review it and/or make corrections, nor did you provide it in the way we suggested.
In regards to your favors. I took the fall for that, yes. That night I didn't feel it appropriate to point fingers at the various people I asked to find me the favors. You and Mitchell were busy taking photos and I had already had to ask you about 100 questions regarding the various elements for the ceremony and reception that were not located in the pile of stuff you left for me in the garage. So, instead, I asked quite a few family members where your CD's were. I kept getting told they would be in the tent in time. However, when it came time they were not. And with only 1 hour to set an entire space and get you ready for the ceremony and SEW A BUTTON on Mitchell's tuxedo 4 minutes before you went down the aisle, AND put together all of your centerpieces on site because you had neglected to bring the vases the day before....well, I had to pick my battles. Unfortunately the favors appeared with no alert to me, in the tent, on the Dj's table of all places when it was too late. Guests had already entered the tent. Not sure which of the various people brought them into the tent, but thank goodness they did. I was then able to put them out on some lovely tables right near the bar so that guests could take them as they left the tent. It worked out perfectly. Perhaps not exactly as you wished, but it certainly worked out nicely.
You were so pleased, you even thanked me publicly in your toast to your guests. Everything was perfect. Granted, we did have an unforseen emergency that day which has NEVER happened before and it did leave me without an assistant. To which I responded very well, an assistant would have been great. But the lack of an assistant would not have prevented the issues you've listed. Even with all of the disorganization, it went off so smoothly and beautifully. I'm so, so very sorry to hear that your focus is on the negative. The flowers we did for you were stunning, your ceremony FLAWLESS. The tent looked stunning and the guests were so well taken care of.
It was a beautiful day, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with our services. We are dissapointed as well that you were unhappy. Perhaps you'll see it from our perspective and realize that we did the very best we could in spite of the circumstances and we hope that you'll focus on what a beautiful day it was and how thankful you were to me all the way up the moment you discovered the issue with the favors.

Do I really need an Event Planner for my big day?
That all depends. If you’re like most people your days are busy, your weekends are busier and you’re living a fairly hectic lifestyle. A professional event coordinator/producer makes the planning and organizing of your wedding easier. You’ll be putting a lot of hopes and expectations into your big day and a lot of money into each detail. At A Moment In Time we make sure that every detail isn’t left to chance. We make it happen the way you dreamed it would.
What if the Ceremony Site and Reception site already have on-site coordinators?
These on-site coordinators can indeed help with specific things that pertain to their individual sites. They are great to have, there is no mistaking that. However, they’re only responsible for a tiny fraction of what goes on during your event. Will they set your arrangements up? Fix a lipstick stain on your dress? Have back up cuff-links for one of your groomsmen? Set your favors and place cards out as you want them? What if the flowers or cake don’t arrive on time, who will help? We will. And being able to safely say that you’ve got "all your bases covered" will give you such a sense of peace. You’ll feel supported and organized and you’ll sleep better knowing that you’ve hired an event coordinator that will be there on your big day to give you all the support you need and attend to all of the details, big and small.
