This bakery had the most delicious cake I had tasted out all the vendors I had sampled. They created a beautiful and delicious cake.

tHEY MADE MY CAKE VERY PRETTY. It tasted pretty good and everybody liked it.

We have our wedding cake from A Piece of Cake Bakery because it came with Sheraton Palo Alto's wedding package. I actually like it myself after cake tasting. Their strawberry preserve is very good. Norma is pretty helpful in suggesting cake flavor and styles. She also provided me some matched-color ribbons to decorate our cake. Per my florist's request, I need the cake to be deliver 1 hour earlier than the scheduled time. Norma helped us on this change too. Overall I am pretty happy with the service. And the cake - looks elegant, tastes good, absolutely recommended.

Our cake was beautiful and tasty. They were able to match the design of our cake topper on the middle layer of the cake and with the flowers from Cute Flowers it looked amazing. It was a simple white cake design, but with the flowers it really made it pop. My husband choose the red velvet with cream cheese filling and I picked the white cake with cream cheese and strawberry filling.Note: using real flowers can save you money.

I loved our cake! I was all over the place in terms of ideas for the cake. They really helped me weigh out different options and make a decision. I was also particular about the size of each square tier so that they didn't look wide and flat but narrow and tall. They suggested I come in to talk details. They brought out foam cut outs to demonstrate the different ways my cake could look with the amount of guests it was to serve. It was SO helpful to understand what we'd be getting on our wedding day. Also, the staff was personable and the cake was DELICIOUS! The cake tasting was so good. We had a tier of red velvet, a tier of white cake w/rasberry & cream cheese filling and the top tier was yellow cake with fudge filling per my grooms request. We did butter cream frosting. The cake was part of our package at Villa Ragusa but we paid extra to have square tiers. They did a great job!

We really loved our cake. I had searched online for the perfect cake and I couldn't find anything that I absolutely fell in love with. We went into A Piece of Cake Bakery and we were very pleased to see that they had plenty of pictures of their work to chose from. We knew the perfect cake when we saw the picture in one of their albums and didn't need to look any further. It was perfect!! We would definitely recommend A Piece of Cake Bakery for any planning Bride and Groom!!

Our cake came as part of a package with Freedom Hall & Gardens. I was really pleased with the taste of the cake and the options we had to choose from. I was a bit worried at first because I went to a bridal show and they were there with samples and the cake tasted kind of dry which was surprising. However at the sampling at Piece of Cake the cake was moist and tasty and on our wedding day the cake was great. All of my guests commented on how cute the cake was and how delicious it was. We had red velvet for the bottom tier, a yellow and chocolate cake with some mousse filling for the middle tier and then our personal tier was lemon curd with fondant frosting. I was also pleased with the how the cake design turned out. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a cake.

We gave them a picture of the cake that we wanted and it turned out to be exactly what we ordered. The cake was very delicious.

A Piece of Cake Bakerey definitely lived up to their name! They were very friendly and helpful when we went for our meeting. They worked with us to get us our dream cake within our budget. Our cake was beautiful and delicious! I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a cake!

Our cake was fabulous!! I have never tasted a wedding cake that was by far the best cake I ever had! The staff at this bakery was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable!!

We worked with 2 people with our wedding cake. The fist representative we had was not that responsive and left out some information that we needed, however, we worked with Norma at the end and she was so helpful. She told me everything I needed to bring in like color swatches, a copy of the design and our topper. Her email responses were immediate and was always so friendly when I came in. The cake was exactly what I invisioned.

The tasting was great and we ended up with a beautiful cake, I could not have been more happy with how it turned out. Even though our reception site threw away the tiers that keep the cake up they were very understanding and are working with us to bill the reception site.

The cake tasting session was pleasant. They seemed sincerely interested in creating just the cake we desired. You could not request flavors to test. Their white cake with raspberry/cream cheese filling was amazing! Pretty much the best wedding cake I have ever tasted. Our cake was minimal in its design and construction. The florist was doing all of the decorating. We had a three tiered square cake to feed about 175 people and they charged $700. This seemed a bit high for such a simple cake, but the white cake I mentioned was wonderful and we decided to go with them. As far as customer service and organization...this is where they start losing their stars in my book. I provided the address to deliver the cake to, but they kept calling to ask for this information. I stopped by with printed directions and a map. They continued to call after this (at least 4 more times) to ask where they should deliver the cake. This made us wonder if the cake would even show up...not very reassuring for a bride the week before her wedding. The cake did show up, thankfully. The only problem was...the cake arrived looking like we had discussed, but the entire bottom flavor was incorrect. All three tiers were to be white cake (we had a separate chocolate groom's cake), but the largest layer was chocolate. This meant that most of my guests got served two pieces of chocolate cake, not to mention the cake my husband and I fed to each other for pictures was wrong. I called to discuss reimbursement for their rather large mistake, but the owner refused to meet with me or call me directly. The store manager was apologetic, but I was incredibly disappointed with the bakery owner's attitude and service. He offered a reimbursement of only $200. I considered this unacceptable as the majority of my cake was incorrect and this is less than a third of the cost. I think what upset me the most was that he refused to even speak with me about this over the phone. All in all, I received a quality of product and customer service you would expect from a 'discount' store or one that does not specialize in wedding cakes. I would not recommend them unless you don't care if the wrong cake shows up. They have great cakes they just need to work on their customer service and organization.

The cake is absolutely delicious. They have you set up an appointment first and you are able to taste a bunch of their cake flavors. You are not obligated to go with them after the tasting if you decide not to. However, the cakes are to wonderful to pass up!

The cake was perfect...and the taste of each layer was divine! The color wasn't perfect, but it still went with our scheme.

I had this vendor as part of my package with Sheraton Hotel for my wedding. The cakes tastes absolutely great, especially the white cake with the cream cheese and strawberry filling, no bad comments there at all. But the down side of this place is that the service/attitude from this place can improve more.

WOW! Great tasting, beautiful cakes! We had fun with the taste testing for the flavor and checking out their cake selection. The cake looked fabulous, the best looking cake I've ever seen and the best tasting. Very moist and the frosting was so yummy

Our cake was beautiful. A little mix up on timing. But all was figured out on time.

I booked A Piece of Cake Bakery about 4 months before my wedding with no problems. They were a bit expensive for exactly what I wanted so we went with something a little simpler. It turned out gorgeous, tasted delicious, and they delivered it to my reception site on time and at no cost because it was very close together. You have to call to make an appointment because they do not accept walk-ins but this wasn't a problem for me. When I went to buy ribbon for my cake, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to get the kind with the wire or not. So I called during business hours 3 times while I was at the store, and waited for about 30 minuets and I didn't get a call back until the next day. Overall, this company is good at what they do, they just need to work on their communication.

This bakery was decent however they are only open for a few hours a few days a week and DO NOT TAKE WALK INS. I even needed to make an appt. to drop off the ribbon for me cake! The cake came out beautiful and was delicious, but I wouldn't use them again because of the hassle and their lack of avalibilty to me when i needed them.

I went to their cake tasting and found the cake quality very low. I think Safeway is better, with the exception of their more expensive soaked cakes. Also their prices are extremely high. They don't include anything.

My cake was beautiful, moist & quite tasty. The front staff was young & a little slow to respond, but overall I was very happy with the outcome.

The staff was very helpful and the cake was beautiful and delicious! I wouldn't recommend the mocha-truffle filling - it was too strong.

They do some of the best tasting cakes I’ve had at weddings. Their base cake price is quite reasonable as well -- however, I’d say their pricing scheme beyond the basic cake is a bit over the top – charging extra for everything -- even for changing the tiniest thing, like having swirls all in a line rather than all over (which is one of the 3 designs offered at the base price)…and we were told they would only do square cakes with fondant, and this nearly doubles the price.

The initial tasting session was very helpful in deciding what type of cake was most appropriate for our wedding-- after sampling many fruit fillings and cakes, we decided on a Tiffany-styled tiramisu filled cake with fondant icing (highly recommend). It was, by far, the most beautiful cake I had ever seen (and I've seen many)! :)

I sampled A Piece of Cake and thought they tasted good and had great prices. The only reason I didn't go with them in the end was because my wedding wasn't in the south bay.

This vendor was a part of our contract with "The Freedom Hall & Gardens" for our wedding cake. We had such fun going in to taste their different cake selections. Going in there, I brought a photo of a cake I found online that I fell in love with and they took that image and made some slight changes and I got the cake of my dreams. We were even allowed to pick a different flavor cake for each tier which made it more spectacular for our guests. I still (18 months later) get to hear my friends and family rave about the cake! Because of the basic cake being included with out package, we opted to make some slight upgrades with an extra cost, for fondant icing, and special decorations (gum paste flowers).We even had a special request to provide a birthday cake for my cousin/bridesmaid who had her 16th birthday on our wedding day and that came out spectacular as well!!!

The cakes at Piece of Cake are awesome, from the taste of the cake to the decorations. It is fairly pricey, and they did make a mistake on one of my flavors, even though they claim they did not, but I have heard this is rare.

The tasting session was fun and such a help in figuring out what we wanted. The cake turned out beautiful and was delicious. We followed the directions for wrapping and freezing the groom's cake and ate it on our 1 yr. anniversary. It was surprisingly good and quite a sentimental moment.

For my wedding in 2004, the Freedom Hall included my wedding cake from this bakery. I was completely happy with how my cake turned out, and so was my husband and our guests. From the texture and taste to the actual design of my cake, I was completely satisfied. The ladies there are very talented and listen to what it is you are trying to create. I went in with 2 magazine clippings of 2 different cakes that I wanted incorporated into 1 and they did it exactly how i imagined. I definately recommend checking them out.
