My wedding was in October 2012. Instead of telling you how upset I am, I'll give you the facts and let you decide whether or not to hire A Sac Wedding.
1) From May to October, I tried to get Alex to send me a copy of my contract. Finally received it a week before the wedding.
2) The contract states it will take 8-12 wks to finish the product. About 8 wks in, I asked for an ETA, because I was excited. He said it would be done before Xmas. Around New Years, he said next week. For the next couple of wks, he kept promising the following weekend, and never followed through, which is fine because he had 12 wks to do it. I just didn't appreciate the false hope.
3) On week 13, he said one more week. Finally, after a wk and a half, he said he was ready to ship it out. It wasn't shipped for a few days. I asked why, he said there was an error in the video. I finally received my video in wk 14.
4) My video was well made and he was good at keeping to my requests for how our special day should be recorded.
5 Huge parts of my reception were missing. The guest commentary, bridesmaid dance, anniversary dance was missing, cake cutting was missing. He knew about these events bc it was in the itinerary I gave him before the day of.
7) I contacted him about this. After a few days of trying to get his attn, he finally sent me a video of the guest commentary. He promised the next few videos would be ready by the end of the weekend. On Mon, I contacted him and no response. It is Thurs now and I've been trying to get a hold of him for 4 days. He has been completely ignoring me.
8) I'm not the type of person to make recs to people, but I went out of my way to tell all of my friends not to hire A Sac Wedding by Parallel Productions. I was completely satisfied in the QUALITY of the video, but completely unsatisfied in the service that I received.
Based on these facts, make your own judgment as to whether or not you want to hire Alex Cristescu.

Alex Cristescu who was hired to videograph my daughter's wedding has not delivered on time despite much delay and has not delivered some key features of the wedding event. I don't know the relationship between Alex and Parallel Productions. Alex is definitely not the person to hire and if he represents Parallel Productions, then the venue is not trustworthy with once-in-a-lifetime events. I would ensure the contract is as tight as possible with this one.

I loved Joan. She's fun and willing to work with you to make you feel comfortable. Everybody in my bridal party and all my guest loved her because she was going around and made sure she captured every moment. Alex was amazing. He made sure he captured every moment of the ceremony and reception. Its definitely an awesome way to remember my special day!

Alex was great to work with. He is very professional and is really flexible with your needs. The prices are very reasonable. We asked him to re-edit our montage because we wanted more scenes added and he was happy to do it. Our montage turned out great!

Parallel Productions/A Sacramento Wedding did a wonderful job documenting our lakefront wedding. The photographer was flexible, adaptable and open to our spur-of-the-moment suggestions; and the videographer confidently "directed" us through more artistic scenes in our video. Both artists got excellent imagery without being intrusive or taking us out of the moment. We are happy with the results!

It was a great experience working with A Sacramento Wedding. Alex was very professional and courteous. He wanted to know what my wife and I wanted, instead of just "telling" us what he thought was best. Additionally the turn around time to get the video back was very reasonable and the montage that he created was outstanding. During the wedding Alex was very unintrusive and he coordinated with the photographers extremely well. Lastly, I will say that the pricing plan met our needs, and we were able to get some extras thrown in.

Joan & Alex did a wonderful job capturing our wedding day!!!! They were very easy to work with and very professional. The day went by so fast and when it was all said and done I was so happy to have such awesome pictures and a wedding film that resembled that of a actual movie!! It was really cool that they provide both video and photo services. I've been to a lot of weddings and I've never seen such great teamwork between the photographer and videographer. It made the whole process a lot faster and much easier! I couldn't have been happier!!!

I couldn't be happier with the services provided by "A Sacramento Wedding". Alex and Joan are a great husband and wife team - he does videography, she does still shots. We were lucky enough to catch them while they were building their business, and I halfway expected that I was going to hear "you get what you pay for" the rest of my living days, but we were VERY pleased with our video and photos - so much so that we recommend them anytime we are asked by friends for referrals (my cousin used them as well) and we've even had them over to photograph our family in our home. Aside from their professionalism, they are just downright nice people and I'm always happy to do business with nice people. Best of luck to you and yours on your wedding day!
