I really enjoyed working with Monique. I had a few ideas about what I wanted (sunflowers) but I really gave her creative license and the bouquets were GORGEOUS. I'm still getting compliments on them. I was initially interested because of the reasonable pricing; and after our initial meeting, I was sold on Monique's vision and personality - which was our main priority in selecting all of our vendors.

Monique is amazing! When I wrote to her and asked what we could get for our budget, I had no idea she'd be able to pull off all she did! Monique took my bridesmaids' dresses and came up with an amazing idea, and since she blogged it, I was able to show it to my family and friends, which was great. The flowers were inventive and beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about her!

Overall, Monique is great to work with - she's sweet, responsive, and willing to work with whatever ideas you have. She was also willing to negotiate on price for several items, which was helpful.

I would recommend Monique for beautiful, budget-friendly flowers, but with the following heads-up: Be VERY CLEAR with her on exactly what time you need your flowers. I told her our reception site was ready for set-up at 2pm, and that my aunts would meet her to pick up the bouquets at 3:30 so we could have them for our pre-ceremony photos. Starting at 3pm I got a series of texts from her saying how it had taken longer than expected to "load the vases in the car" and she hadn't yet left her house (about 45 minutes away). She finally got there about 4:30pm, and as a consequence a) my aunts barely had time to get ready for the wedding, and b) my pictures (which started at 4pm) didn't have flowers in them for the first hour. None. Not my bouquet, not my bridesmaids' bouquets, no boutonnieres.

For me, this wasn't a huge deal because the no-flower pictures that I've seen turned out pretty cool, and the final product was truly beautiful (and within my budget) - but I feel like it's my duty to "warn" future brides that you need to be very specific with her - I have no doubt that if you are very adamant on exactly when she needs to be there (not: "Set-up is from 2-5" and assume she'll show up at 2pm), that she'll show up when you ask.

Overall she's great to work with, just that one thing could've ruined a more, er, high-strung bride's day.

The bouquet and cake topper were beautiful! Monique also arranged the decorative flowers beautifully. She was affordable and professional. I'm am grateful that I hired her for my wedding.

Monique was very thorough and open to ideas we had for our Tahoe wedding. Mixing mid-century modern beach meets the Tahoe woods she added her amazing floral touch to our ceremony and reception. We worked very well together via email & over the phone with my husband and I located in Southern, CA. Put your trust in Monique for your wedding day, we did and she absolutely came through.

Very good option for those looking to save money on flowers. There was less flexibility than with other vendors; for example, the colors of the flowers were not quite what I would have liked--but it was a fabulous value and I was very happy.

Monique was amazing. She was willing to work within my budget. I was impressed that she brought a sheet of ideas that included my dress and the bridesmaids dresses to the initial consultation before I had even signed a contract with her. She made extra corsages for grandparents that we did not know were coming the day of the event. She was on time and prepared. The flowers were amazing. I received more compliments on them than almost anything else at the wedding. I would use Monique again for an event and recommend her highly.

Monique was wonderful to work with. She has amazing ideas and is extrememly talented. I had a very detailed cascading orchid boquette that turned out better than I had ever imagined. She was on time delivering flowers on the wedding day. And responded back to us very quickly when we had questions. I would definately reconmend A Special Day Designs by Monique Wilber.
