A Stunning Affair

There are not enough little gold stars or a high enough ranking for Lina !!! She is fantastic, fantastic, fantastic !!! I am positive that Lina is the only reason I actually had a wedding at all, let alone, the wedding of my dreams. In short, GRAB LINA AND BOOK HER AS SOON AS YOU CAN !!! SHE'S FABULOUS !!!I'm an extremely busy corporate lawyer working insane hours, and my now husband is in finance -- also working a ton of hours. Therefore, Lina made herself available to meet with us late in the evening at the location most convenient for us (usually our home) -- even though it was hugely out of the way for her. Unfortunately for Lina, despite our total lack of time, we (and I mean we -- my husband too) wanted to make every single decision ourselves. To make matters worse, I am extremely detail-oriented, a total perfectionist, and I generally have to check out ALL the choices before making my decision. Plus the fact that my husband and I came from two very different cultures, had to have the entire event be kosher (plates, silverware, etc.,) and wanted the wedding in my parents' garden and the reception at a country club nearby. Oh, and we were expecting 350 guests. We only had ten months to do it in, and I think we ended up blowing every deadline Lina gave us by months (literally) and then, of course, had a number of calamities occurr the week before. In short, I don't know how Lina put up with us... and with a smile and a hug, to boot.Lina was absolutely unshakeable. She handled every challenge (of which there were many) impecably, solved every problem, was so professional and warm and friendly despite it all -- I really don't know how she did it. I deal with "challenging" clients all the time, but Lina's degree of professionalism was truly impressive. Most importantly, OUR WEDDING (May 29, 2011) ENDED UP BEING MAGNIFICENT. Everything was gorgeous - the flowers, the table settings, the programs, all perfectly arranged, all just coming together perfectly. The whole afternoon/evening literally went off without a hitch from beginning to end (which was miraculous considering) -- and Lina was the single, biggest reason why. She and her team somehow shepherded all 350 guests -- many of whom were from different cultures and didn't even speak fluent English! -- from area to area both at my parents' gardens and the country club, and they did it gracefully and politely all the while. The caterer, the florist, the band, the videographer, the photographers, the wedding party, the family, the "extended" family, the country club, the wait staff at my parents' home, the party rental people -- I don't know how, but she managed all of them.Whether you want her help with everything (highly recommend), or just at the final stages, I really can't recommend her enough. She found us our florist (also spectacular) and our photographer too (who turned out wonderfully), so her recommendations were also excellent. I interviewed five other wedding planners (all of whom had excellent reviews) but LINA really is THE BEST (and so, so sweet too), and is worth a million times whatever she charges. So... like I said above, GRAB LINA AND BOOK HER AS SOON AS YOU CAN !!! SHE'S FABULOUS !!!

I highly recommend Lina!I could not be happier with how our wedding turned out and I credit that to Lina and her team at A Stunning Affair. There are so many details that go into planning a wedding and no online checklist covers them all. Lina is very knowledgeable, and organized. She helped us throughout the entire planning process. She gave us a "to do" list each month, and prioritized the items so we knew what HAD to be done, and what could be pushed out if we did not have enough time that month. She kept us on track without ever being pushy. Lina gave us great suggestions on design and fun ideas to make our wedding unique. All the vendors she recommended were wonderful too. She thought about every detail, and planned the day perfectly. On the day of the wedding, Lina was calm and professional and made sure everything stayed on track. I did not have to worry about anything. My husband and I are so happy with how our wedding day went. We were able to truly enjoy our day without any worries because we knew Lina was taking care of it all.

Lina Wallace is absolutely sensational. I felt her passion when we sat down for our initial consultation. She pretty much nailed our vision of the flowers even though all she had were a few clues to our tastes. She always responded to me right away when I had a question and left me feeling completely at ease. I knew that everything would look amazing on the day of the wedding and she did not disappoint. I felt so comfortable with her superior level of of service that I literally never worried once about the flowers. It was so refreshing to not have to worry at all.I highly recommend Lina. She can make all of your dreams come to life.

It was a pleasure working with Lina. We both believe our Wedding was the best day of our lives. We were so honored to have Lina there and couldn’t thank her enough for all that she did for us. In short, Lina Wallace is awesome. I am a cynic when it comes to almost everything, and I am extremely busy, but I have to take time to let everyone know how professional and effective she was. We used the 'unlimited access' service from her - and I don't know how to convince this reader that is was worth every penny and more. I'll admit I am a do it yourselfer and a tightwad, and I normally would plan my own stuff, but for this, we were time constrained, and just ask her, we brought her so many a scheduling and worry issues, even to the last minute. But after getting to know her and her ability to problem solve, I felt so much safer that the event would be pulled off without a hitch. Poor thing she had to mediate and solve all the problems, and she was so professional, and adept at handling any little snag, and dealt with various personality problems, vendors, clergy, everybody amazingly. We got so many kudos even from guests ON THE WEDDING PLANNER!!!?!!! and how great she and her staff were! During the planning any trivial question texted or emailed to her had a response within an hour or two. Always returned calls within MINUTES. Always smiling. Don't know how she does it. You can be as involved in detail or not involved at all and pretty much let her suggest everything. We both liked her taste. She made everything so easy for us, kept us informed, and made us feel in complete control the whole time. A true professional, I am sure she can easily handle true divas and high profile people. (No offense to anyone)

Thanks Lina for everything !!! I know my wife feels the same....(and BTW I was against the idea of a wedding planner and gave my wife grief at first about it....I already apologized.)

My fiance and I have had a blast with Lina. We haven't paid that full amount yet becuase she doesn't require it. We love that we can make payments, it really helps out. I have to admit that a coordinator wasn't on my fiances list of must-haves but we were sold once we meet her. I can't wait to post a review after the magical day in December.

Lina at A Stunning Affair was probably the best value I had with all of my wedding details and expenses! A couple words I would use to describe her are flexible, patience, creative, responsible and TALENTED! I met with Lina several times to discuss my vision for flowers for the wedding. She was extremely patient and asked good questions to help me really articulate what I was hoping for. She made great recommendations for flowers and textures that I did not originally think of. When I saw the sample centerpiece she made for us, I loved it and made a few additional recommendations and suggestions. The centerpieces on the day of were even better and more beautiful than I asked for. She also decorated a my wedding arch and I was absolutely floored by the detail and beauty of it. During the ceremony I got distracted looking at the variety of berries, greenery, flowers and curly willow she wove onto the arch. Lina made my original vision for flowers even better than I imagined! It's been 3 weeks since I got married and each person I talk to comments on the feel of the ceremony & reception which had a lot to do how Lina brought it together with the flowers. Thanks Lina!!

Lina at A Stunning Affair is an extreme value for flowers. In my first meeting with her, we spent over 2 hours talking about my vision for all the flowers. At that point, all I could tell her was: natural, airy and fresh feeling with a lot of green. As you can imagine, it took several more conversations with a lot of examples and pictures to nail down the vision and details. Lina was amazingly patient and had a lot of suggestions for flowers, textures and lighting I had not considered before. She made me a sample centerpiece and I was so excited. I shared a few additional thoughts and suggestions which she included on the day of and everything looked better than I imagined. The flowers for the ceremony, cocktails and reception were so detailed, yet simple as I had envisioned. The most amazing detail of the wedding was the ceremony arch which she covered in greenery, curly willow, berries and flower clusters. I'm so grateful that I'm a bride who gets to say "the day was perfect" and that includes all the work Lina did to bring my vision to life with the natural earthly flowery feel. Although my style may have been a little less traditional, Lina is just plain good at what she does and will help you realize part of your dream/vision for the wedding. I promise :)

I was extremely happy with the flowers Lina has provided for my wedding. I showed her some pictures of flower arrangements I liked but she made it even more beautiful. She understood small details I requested and my flowers looked amazing. What I also liked about her was that she made a sample for me to make sure I was 100% happy. Her responsiveness was always great and she was very easy to work with. I made some last minute changes but she was extremely understanding. I hired a wedding planner from the venue but if I had known Lina first, I would have hired her for planning my entire wedding. I would love to work with her again if I have an opportunity. I highly recommend her to all of my friends and family. Believe me, you won't be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of working with Lina and her staff at A Stunning Affair. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to hire a wedding planner/coordinator because I thought I could handle it on my own. I am so glad that I called Lina. During the initial consultation, she gave me many ideas and really got me excited about the big day even though it was over a year away. Lina is very detailed oriented like myself so she made sure that everything was perfect. She is very quick to respond to questions and concerns through phone calls and emails and made me feel at ease about everything. I felt no stress the day of the wedding because I trusted her to take care of everything. I knew that all of the details would be exactly as we had discussed during our meetings and they were. While looking at pictures of the wedding, I was able to see all of her hard work and dedication to our event. The pictures came out beautiful because of all of her great ideas that I never would have thought of on my own. I received many compliments from my guests on the decorations and flowers. They took everything home with them including the escort cards, table numbers, and menus. I had my dream wedding come true and I could not have done it without Lina and her staff.

Lina and her staff are amazingly the best!!!! they know how to get down and make it happen. At first we didn't think we needed a coordinator for our wedding, but boy were we wrong!!!! If we didn't have Lina it wouldn't have been as well organized and perfect...everything flowed just right. She is extraordinary and our wedding was more than we had expected. It was magical and an unforgettable day for us and Lina made this happen. Everyone that attended our wedding has said many wonderful things about Lina, she sure stood out. Everything on our wedding day exceeded expectations, and I think Lina and her crew were the reason why. Just like everyone else, my groom and I didn't think we needed a planner. It took a lot to get him to even consider a day-of coordinator, but all it took was one meeting with Lina to sell him on the idea. She is such a joy to meet with. She's really fun and relaxed, but also very knowledgeable and professional. I was amazed at how much time she spent with us before the wedding, and how many hours she put in preparing lists and spreadsheets, sending emails and making phone calls for us. We have gotten so many compliments on every detail of our wedding, and all my groom and I can say is that we couldn't have done it without Lina and her team! The best part of all is that we were completely relaxed the entire day of our wedding (and the days before actually), because we knew that Lina had absolutely everything handled. We couldn't have done it without her and I'm glad we didn't have to. Hands down the most well spent money of the entire wedding. If you want your wedding to be as carefree and perfect as humanly possible, it’s simple – hire Lina and her staff at A Stunning Affair. I’ll be honest. I am a very detail-oriented woman that works constantly on deadlines and being more efficient. In short, I’m a wedding planner’s nightmare. I had met with or spoken to several wedding planners as soon as I became engaged. What stood out about Lina before I even met her was her quick response, friendliness and professionalism. When she met me in a person just a few days after I first contacted her, I knew it right away, this was the woman that could make my dream wedding come true. The worse part for her was, there were only a few things I was actually sure that I wanted. Lina helped me figure out every little detail. And really, most of the details I didn’t even need to worry about because she took care of them. She always really listened to my ideas and suggestions, but gave awesome suggestions and ideas from her years of professional experience. All the while making sure that their #1 priority was that my husband, myself and my family were happy and carefree. Honestly all any of us had to do was show up, any question we had, Lina and her team were on it. I’m SO honored and lucky to have had Lina and A Stunning Affair help me plan my wedding. I can honestly say it was PERFECT- and for me to say that, it really was! I definitely gave her interesting challenges, what with two dogs in the bridal party, a mariachi band and a banzai toast. We had the pleasure of working a wedding with Lina and her girls and it was awesome! A lot of times we shoot weddings and the coordinator isn't available, isn't present and can't help out. She was on top of every last detail down to bustling the brides dress! The reception was absolutely gorgeous and it was a flawless day!

Words can not describe how amazing Lina and her team were for my wedding day! I hired her for her full planning package and floral design. On the day of the wedding she provided me with an assistant who made sure I had water, kept me cool with her electric fan and carried around an amazing hip pack filled with everything from mints to safety pins. She was a great help! The other two assistants were wonderful during the ceremony and reception too!I can't tell you how great it was to be able to relax and let her deal with all of the details and fully enjoy my day. Everyone was talking about how fabulous and beautiful the event was throughout the night. Thanks so much and I will definitely be contacting you for any future events. Maybe a baby shower ;)

Lina is simply amazing! I am one of those type A personalities who has a hard time giving up the reigns. She is so together, that I had no problem putting all my faith in her. She would help with advise during the little problems that came up from etiquette to timelines to family. She was in contact with all of my vendors throughout the planning process and made sure that everything went smoothly on my big day. She even helped me through a photographer snafu when I had to find a new one five months before the wedding.I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am to have come into contact with her before the wedding. Because of her, my wedding day really was perfect and I was actually able to enjoy it. She is truly one of those rare people in this world that can get down to business but still be your friend and listen.

She is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! If you want someone to work for you and be on your side...It's Lina! She has the personality that any bride will adore and the patience of a saint. She's talented and can make your vision happen. She's organized, dependable, and has great communication skills.
