This service was the ONLY thing that went wrong at our wedding. The DJ Mike was terrible. Granted, our event was book 4 days prior to, because our DJ of choice had a family emergency, Sunset NEVER indicated that short notice was a problem, especially since we didn't really ask much of the DJ. We only requested he play 4 or so songs, for the seating of the mothers etc, 6 for the reception and NO rap were our only requests. He screwed up EVERY song during the ceremony. He only brought a cd player and a cheap mic that didn’t work. Thank God my husband brought his own equipment. He played songs I've never even heard of for the ceremony. When it came time for me to walk down the isle, he started and stopped FOUR different songs, and its not like he started and stopped immediately, he let each song play for a about ten seconds! He even started playing the song that was supposed to be our first dance song as I was walking. This guy was awful. If he had just stuck with his first wrong song, we wouldn’t of had such a problem. He rushed through every aspect of the reception. Claiming that we had only booked for 5 hours and he wanted to make sure everything was done…just another excuse after excuse. I had to stop him and tell him to let people eat. He tried to start the best mans toast before we even started dinner. He put up a TACKY "A sunset entertainment" banner. (Very unprofessional) And when we called to complain the dj blaming everything on the short notice. He and I spoke via email and phone and he never ONCE expressed ANY concern over "short notice” we didn't request songs for the reception except for the cake cutting, garter bouquet toss, etc. which were popular choices anyways...so he should have had all songs if he was truly a "professional" which he wasn't and his boss, "j Hood" was extremely condescending and unprofessional as well. Completely unwilling to resolve the issue. Offered a $50 refund. Are you kidding? After going back and forth with these people, we did end up getting half which in my opinion wasn’t enough either. In the end we are glad he put up the tacky banner so the couples at our wedding that are getting married know who NOT to use. This dj even tried to say that he got the guest motivated and dancing when in fact it was a guest that started any and everything involving other guest. The dj thought that if someone there laughed or had a good time he must have been why…The only thing this company is good at is processing a payment. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone for any event.

J the DJ was great, we were concerned at first that he was shy but once he picked up the microphone you could never tell. With short receipt of our playlist, he played everything on it and even a few obscure requests he wasn't prepared for. J recommended some changes to our time line based on the layout of the venue, and pulled them off flawlessly, keeping the crowd involved all the while. We had a great time and everyone commented that it was the best wedding they had attended.

Mother of the Bride here. I did most of the wedding planning as far as finding vendors. I loved A Sunset! The DJ did a fantastic job, was not corny in any way, and really paid attention to our needs. He ran a very smooth ship, and knew his business. I couldn't ask for more! Bride and groom were very pleased!

Ok- so I am not going to bash A Sunset Entertainment because they actually tried to be helpful but I am not going to be nice about their DJ choices. The DJ that was hired on for our wedding was absolutely horrible. We had given him a list of over 100 songs to play, we gave him a letter stating what songs were to be used for our bridal party entrances and discussed it over with him 2 minutes before the entrances happened, and gave a list of activities that we wanted during reception. Well he basically failed all of that. First, he messed up all the entrances plus forgot a couple. Played maybe 5-6 songs that were actually on our list. But the real kicker of the night was when he cut off the father/daughter dance about 30 seconds into it and began playing a Jay-Z song. Now a DJ's main job is to play music but he wasn't competent enough to even let the most important song play all the way through. On top of that, he had the nerve to continually ask my husband, his dad, and me for a tip. Why would I tip someone who can't even do there job like press the correct button on a computer. I will give A Sunset entertainment some respect because they did refund us almost half the cost but no one can ever repay enough to replace the most important dance to me!!! SO if you use a sunset entertainment, please be aware of DJ Corey in Las Vegas.

Can't say enough! We booked 1 week before our reception and were a little worried that things would not get organized in time, but I had nothing to worry about. Brian Kirkner was our DJ and he was more than flexible on not only the music list we gave, in fact he took it upon himself to download similar music prior to our reception that he thought would work well with what we wanted, and he was right. But he was also flexible with requests for announcements and other music needs. Everyone really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and had a blast! Thanks for everything!

Carlos B was phenominal. I never saw the dance floor empty, even during dinner and the cake. LOL. There was a variety of music and he had an endless list to choose from. He was on time and eager to please.

I loved using this company. Anna set up all my arrangements. She was very prompt responding to my questions and emails. I felt very taken care of. There was one speed bump; I could not get ahold of the first D.J. that was assigned to me. But Anna quickly took care of it and reassigned a different DJ, Paul. Paul was very professional and took care of everything on my wedding day. He filled the dance floor and had a pleasant attitude. Thank you!

They exceeded our expectations, which was no easy feat. We asked our DJ to stay an extra hour because we were having so much fun. Top notch company to deal with.

Mike the DJ was great. He played everything on the playlist and he kept the crowd involved. We had a great time and everyone said it was the best wedding they had attended

Had a wonderful experience talked to the dj multiple times before the wedding so I felt comfortable with everything so he helped take alot of stress of me that day. Handled everything from the music dancing and even the caterer. Told them when to serve when to clean up.really went above and beyond.

I had a few problems with our DJ, but nothing that really ruined the ceremony/reception. Frank was very friendly and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed - my biggest complaint was that he didn't follow some of the instructions that I had laid out in the plan... the biggest one being that he cut off my 1st dance song halfway through and started the 2nd song, even though he was supposed to play it all the way through and then start the 2nd song. That bummed me out, because our first dance song was really important to me and to hear it stop halfway through was upsetting. I was so busy during the rest of the reception I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the music. Everything else seemed to go fine. The cost was very reasonable and I was really happy with that part! Much less expensive than every other company that I got a quote from. Overall everything was nice, though I wish the DJ had been a little more interactive with the guests and got people more involved. I would definitely recommend if you're on a tight budget like I was. Oh, I will say this - their customer service folks were fantastic - always responded very quickly and were extremely friendly and helpful!! They made the hiring and planning process very painless!

Sunset Entertainment was great to work with. They were willing to work with us on a price for our ceremony and reception. We requested DJ Rob since we had been to a wedding in the past and was able to see his work. He can really get the party going. The dance floor was packed which is a great wedding in my opinion.

I cannot say enough about A Sunset Entertainment, Inc. Jeff, our DJ, was exceptional and made our event one that we will always remember. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

Rob Morey was a pleasure to work with - he was accommodating, patient, and entertaining. He did switch the parents' names when introducing them, but that could have been our fault when we were lining them up. We would recommend him and request him again in the future.

I have to say I was very impressed with the service I received with Sunset. If I decide to become a wedding planner, which is highly likely, I will definitely use the DJ I had with Sunset. Thank you Sunset for your excellent service!!!!

Sunset Entertainment was a great choice for our wedding. They were affordable and very professional. We chose Rob as our dj because he was young like us and had the same taste in music. I spoke with him over the phone and through email a few times before our wedding and he always responded quickly and was very helpful. We went over our song lists and our "do not play" lists, and the fact that we were looking for someone laid back and friendly but not cheesy and obnoxious like your typical dj. He provided everything we could have asked for and really made our day fun!

They were great! Couldnt ask for any better!

The only thing I was disappointed with is that the DJ didn't play any of the songs I had put on the list for him to play. I spent hours on this list of music I wanted played and the he only played the songs written for the first dances and one song I had to physically go request. I was kind of upset by that.

I would absolutely recommend Brandon Labonte with A Sunset Entertainment, Inc. I have heard over and over and over from my wedding guests that he was the absolute best DJ they have ever seen. We did things a little different at our reception and Brandon was very flexible and accomodated every request we had. Brandon's main goal that evening seemed to be to make sure we (the couple) and our guests were comfortable and having the time of our lives. (Someone spilled candy on the dance floor....I started picking it up and he ran over and picked it up for me). It was very easy to book the vendor and they were very very reasonably priced. (They even offered a very good military discount!!!)It is my honor & pleasure to recommend Brandon....you will not be disappointed....I guarantee it!!!Be careful though.....they aren't all as great as Brandon was!!!! :)

Carlos from A Sunset Entertainment was great! When we gave him our list of song, he knew right away what type of music we prefer for dancing and for background music during dinner.
He was able to get everyone on the dance floor, which was great! He was very professional throughout the evening. He also helped the reception program to run very smoothly.
The only thing that I didn't care for was the fact that he mispronounced my name. I understand that I have a "different" name, but I felt that he should have practiced pronouncing my name or even have a cheat sheet for it. Other than that, I would recommend him as a DJ as he definitely helped set the party mood and made sure that we and our guests had a ton of fun.

Jay was very easy to work with. My husband and I are easy going people and very casual so when I told Jay that he catered to our needs. The music and emcee was just like we wanted. Jay customizes everything to fit your needs. He was enjoyable to work with, great sense of humor and very professional. I would recommend A Sunset Entertainment to anyone who is looking for a DJ whether it's for a wedding, school dance, party etc. They will do an excellent job!

My Dj was awesome at my wedding. He called me like a month before and asked me to email him all the songs I wanted played during the reception. And every last song I wanted was played!! He even made me a cd of the key songs during the reception that he gave me at the end of the night!! So sweet!

best DJ service ever...ask for Danny Fitzgerald..he is the best they have!! Prices are very reasonable and the DJ makes the party!!!

The DJ is so important in creating an environment of fun & excitement! I photographed an event that they DJ'd & they helped create the excitement & participation that allowed me to create some fun and memorable images for the bride & groom!
