Linda is just great to work with. She is so flexible and cooperative with your needs. She truly cares and wants your wedding to be perfect. She is great at what she does and all of us loved our hair and makeup. She was such a joy to have around while we were getting ready , she made us laugh and calmed me when I was nervous. She is an amazing person and I am so glad I booked her for my hair and makeup! She is awesome!

Linda and her assistant were SO amazing!! Not only did they make me look wonderful but my mom looked fabulous! They are so fun and very professional to work with. Even on my wedding day I wasn't sure about my hairstyle so Linda kept working with me to change it how I wanted it off my shoulders! She is VERY flexible with her schedule which helped me a ton when it came time to do my trial as well as when she did my make up for our engagement pictures.

I hired Linda to do hair and make up for myself and my MOH. From the second she came in the door of the hotel room it was like she was family! She called me the evening before and asked if we wanted her to make a starbucks run on her way over, if we needed her to stop and pick up anything etc. That was such as surprise, and so cool of her to do! Our hair and make up was perfect!! She even helped get me into my dress, and assisted my MOH getting into hers. She is a must have for your wedding day!! She is so calm, warm, down to earth, and as I said, it felt like we had known her for years from the moment she walked into the room! I cannot remember the name of the make up artist, but she is amazing!! I cant say enough good things about her and her make up artist.

Linda and her team at A Victorian Bride were absolutely fantastic!! I booked her through the internet since I was an out of town bride (destination wedding). They came to my hotel and spent the day making my mother, step mother, my 7 bridesmaids and myself look beautiful! Everyone looked so wonderful and all the guests/groomsman/groom commented on how great everyone looked. I loved how everyone still looked like themselves, just even prettier! Linda and her team were professional, prompt and fun and handled my very goofy (but fun) family all in stride! It was a pleasant, relaxing day. Linda did a wonderful job with my hair for my wedding. There were 30 mph wind gusts on the day of my beach wedding but my hair held up through the ceremony and through pictures perfectly. I received many compliments on the style as well. Her makeup artist was great as well, and I normally don't like how my make-up looks when others do it. Thanks ladies!

Linda was great to work with overall. She made my bridemaids, mother and I look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. She came right to our room so we wouldn't have to travel anywhere which made my life alot easier with my son and guests coming in. She gave recommendations and was very flexible in added services. My only issue, which Linda went above and beyond to address, was her assistant Claire who seemed a bit pushy. As I said Linda addressed the issue and accomodated appropriately. Overall, I was very satisfied with my hair and makeup and overall expirence.

Linda and her crew (Claire & Marilyn) were amazing. We had a wedding day spa experience in our hotel room. Each one of the bridesmaids looked absolutely, uniquely beautiful. The up-do's were modern and VERY well done. Most of us also had our make-up done. All of our make-up looked, clean and fresh. Stunning! It also photographed VERY well. Great job, my hair and make up were beautiful and they were patient with me!

Linda was nice enough to fit me in at the last minute. I met her at her salon, and she was able to to my hair in about 30 minutes. She also fit in my friend, who was the officiant of my ceremony. Linda responded quickly to text and email. She was also very friendly.

I feel so fortunate to have hired Linda and Ivie to do the hair and makeup for our wedding. Linda offers a practice session which really helped define the look I was going for and also established a rapport for the wedding day session. They came to our hotel which made it so easy on all of the girls. They made sure that each girl was happy with their look and wouldn't leave until everyone was 100% perfect. Linda and Ivie are consummate professionals and I would highly recommend them to everyone! Thanks again, Linda!

Linda and her make-up artist Evie were great! They were so patient with all of us, doing our hair and make-up exactly as we asked. We were a very simple bridal party and were very happy with our end result, which was very natural and not all fake or clown like. Linda was also very patient with my 5 and 7 year old nieces who were wiggle warms in the chair. I couldn’t have been happier with how I looked! Linda also spent several hours with me during my trial to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

Linda was great to work with. I relied totally on the internet when I hired her. I didn't live in the state I was getting married in so I didn't have a trial run with Linda prior to my wedding. I love how she did my makeup. I liked the makeup she used on me so much I purchased some from her line on her website. She even emailed me letting me know everything she used on my face. I was initially not happy with the way my hair turned out. Linda could sense I wasn't thrilled with it and didn't put up a fuss when I requested we change it. She did as I asked and made it look great! I would recommend anyone needing hair and/or makeup done professionally to call her!

Seriously, from the bottom of my heart thank you again. I was so worried about that stuff, and I have never in a million years liked the way anyone has ever done my hair or makeup…until I met you! I wish I was super rich and could have you do my hair and makeup every day haha! I also know my mom was so happy with hers too.

I am so happy that I met Linda! Linda has many years of experience and is and artist! What a wonderful job Linda has ....she makes people feel good about themselves and makes them look fabulous! Linda and Nicole you both ROCKED my niece's wedding! Linda arrived at the hotel at 7AM along with her smile and energy. I could tell right from the start that she would make us all at ease. Linda and Nicole did a fantastic job with the hair and make-up for all of us. (there was a total of 8!!!) We all looked beautiful! I highly recommend A Victorian Bride!

Linda and her assistant did a wonderful job with my hair and make up for my wedding, I have no complaints there and my makeup lasted ALL NIGHT LONG and my hair was wonderful. She really did a great job.

Some of my bridesmaids however were not so lucky. Linda had done my maid of honor's hair and she was not very pleased with it. There were 3 curls hanging down that she did not like and had asked Linda if she could just pin them up into her updo (this would have taken less than 3 minutes to do). Because of her request, Linda raised her voice to my maid of honor and told her that "she does not have time to deal with this and that this is ridiculous". None of us knew what was happening and the room became silent. It was extremely unprofessional. This caused another one of my bridesmaids to not want to get her hair done by Linda because she was afraid of how she might react if she did not like it.

Linda later asked me if my maid of honor was okay. I told her she was fine. She tried to play it off like she was kidding around with her, but the six other people in the room knew she was not "kidding around". I would have found it much more professional if she had admitted that she should not have yelled and apologized for it. I am a teacher and I always encourage my students to accept responsibility for what they have done wrong and learn from it, not pass the blame on someone else or make up an excuse.

I know it is the "brides day" and all, but my bridesmaids paid money to get their hair done and if they do not like it they should be able to speak up and say something without being scolded. When you provide a service such as this for someone it should be expected that not everyone will be happy. I think it is important to know how to deal with clients who are not happy in a more professional way.

The other bridesmaids and our moms looked wonderful and were very happy with the service. This incidence however caused much tension in the room for the rest of the day.

Linda with A Victorian Bride did an amazing job on my wedding hair! It was so convenient having her come to me at my hotel, rather than having to drive around an unfamiliar city on my wedding day. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was as perfect as possible. Thanks so much!

LINDA is a GOD SENT!!! I knew from reading her reviews AND meeting with her for my trial run that I would never regret hiring her. Linda and her makeup artist were at my house at 7:00 AM with smiles on their faces ready to work! I had 4 bridesmaids, plus my mother and myself. Everyone's hair and makeup was amazing, and the best part was that we all looked just as beautiful at 11:00 PM as we did in the morning when we were first done-up. I had SO many compliments on my hair and makeup, and I loved it because I still looked like myself, just better! I am also a HUGE cryer, and I cannot believe that after all my crying AND sweating, my makeup still looked flawless. The only issue we had was that I forgot to mention to Linda that 3 out of 4 of my girls had very long/thick hair, so we really ran late getting ready, but that was completely MY fault. I had also allotted for extra time anyways so we still made it to the church on time!

Linda was absolutely wonderful to work with!! She was easy to get a hold of, flexible and has a fabulous personality. I truly felt like I had known her for years. She did an amazing job on both my hair and makeup, I felt gorgeous all day! I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me get ready on my wedding day!! I cannot thank Linda enough. She was wonderful I felt like she was a part of the family. She was helpful with all of our needs and stayed longer than she had planned. Our day did not turn out the way I had dreamed. Hurrican winds and pouring rain during the wedding ceremony. Thank God it was in church. Our hair and makeup held up and you would never even think by the pictures that we had to fight the wind getting into church.
The sun did eventually come out and the wedding turned out perfect for my daughter. Thank you again Linda.

Since I was new to the area, I was on my own without recommendations. After a lot of research and reading reviews, I am SO HAPPY to have had Linda be a BIG part of my wedding. She is EXTREMELY TALENTED! If you need one Important person for your wedding it's Linda! She will make your wedding complete! I looked amazing! My eyes, OMG, fabulous! The one word every person (family and strangers) used to describe me is STUNNING and I agree! People I didn't know at the resort the next day came up to me and told me I looked stunning. Linda and her team were friendly and had a calming effect on everyone which was important! They made everyone look so beautiful and it was fun while they did it. I would not want anyone but Linda to make my daughter and her bridal party look sensational. She was also very punctual and really did care about my daughter's special day.

Throughout the months of planning I wondered to myself if it made sense to pay for make-up. After we saw the results, my answer was a resounding YES!!!! Katie looked like a fairy-tale princess, and many people told my mom that she looked amazing (she's never really done much with make-up). Of course, friends said the same to me. Linda and Ally were very friendly and professional - a plus when your hair and make-up takes several hours! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hair or make-up, but when Linda was done I looked and felt like a princess! When I walked down the aisle, I took everyone's breath away - even strangers came up to me after the ceremony and told me they had never seen a more beautiful bride. And even though I looked like a million bucks, she was very resonable.

Linda and her team did mine and my bridesmaids hair/makeup for my 12/11/10 wedding and no words can describe how amazing Linda and her team were. Not only were they fun to be around they were also amazingly talented. I am beyond happy we chose a makeup team that came to us because sitting around in our hotel suite, enjoying our own food and drinks as we pleased - made the experience that more relaxing and special. All of the bridesmaids looked amazing (hair and makeup), my mom's hair and makeup was also awesome, and I looked SO AMAZING for my wedding day! Thank you for starting the day early with us (8:00 am), you and your assistant were on-time, and knew that it would be a drive so you booked a room at where we were getting married (awesome!). I had myself, mother and 3 bridesmaids so a party of 5 to get ready! I met Linda for a pre-wedding trial in May before my wedding in November ( the time difference being I live in London and visit the Long Boat Key area twice a year normally). The test run was great, Linda is a very genuine lady and obviously has alot of knowledge and experience. We took photos of the end product and waited for the day. Her and her team were very professional and the make up was great. The only down side for me personally was my hair was done different to the original photo, ( which I did have for reference) meaning we had to go again and I felt my make up was heavier. They left me to the end as the brides make up needs to be the last but I was up at 7am and the cars turned up at 12.30 and I was still having my make up done which left me with 5 minutes literally to put my dress on and run out the door!. Timing was the only let down for me, but the bridesmaids looked great my mother upstaged the bride and all signs of sunburn were dealt with to give the photos a great finish.

AMAZING!!! Linda Shepard is my fairy godmother!! She made me and my girls look gorgeous!!! By the way...the makeup stayed on for more than 24 hours!! Thru the sweat of an August Wedding and thru all the happy tears (which there were ALOT) my make up stayed PERFECT! I woke up the next morning to leave for my honeymoon with my face completely in tact wedding day fresh! No touch up required!! I felt so comfortable having her in my home while gettin ready...we laughed (ALOT) and all around it was a wonderful experience to start off my fairytale wedding day! Thank you SOOOO very much Linda. Linda from A Victorian Bride was WONDERFUL! Coming from out of town my hair and make-up was the thing I was most nervous about. Linda made my me look better than I thought anyone could. It was flawless. She was very personable. I would suggest her to anyone. It was so nice to have her come to me on my wedding day and make me look beautiful. Linda was more than amazing to work with! She was joyful and has a mastery way with all hair types and skin tones. She even helped me fix my horrible manicure from London Hair and Spa in St. Pete Beach, FL. She did not charge me for fixing it either.
Her make-up is wonderful for the Florida heat. It will not come off no matter how much you sweat, sure thing! She gave my mother a complimentary make-up application and offered valuable information regarding hair and make-up.

Linda was so sweet. She is a vendor who will be your friend! Linda and I met well before the wedding at a bridal show and we had a meeting shortly after. Her prices were very reasonable and I booked her right away!

I cannot even tell you how many people said I was the most beautiful bride they had ever seen. I even had people tell me “if someone has said you are the most beautiful bride they’ve ever seen they are not exaggerating” My make-up was extraordinary! I’ve never felt prettier. And I have Linda to thank for that. She is the best in bridal make-up!

During my make-up application I was hungry and Linda was even feeding me snacks during the process. Some of my girls were a bit finicky about having their make-up done and Linda had no problem adding a few girls to the list day of. They even touched up my flower girl so she would feel special.

We had a bit of a time crunch (something unrelated to make-up) and my mother-in-law didn’t finish getting her make-up done before the ceremony. Linda had brought two additional artists with her for my wedding party and one of the ladies, also named Linda, stayed throughout the ceremony to finish my mother-in-laws make-up. She even touched up my lipstick before the dinner!

Overall, I would recommend A Victorian Bride to anyone. I loved working with Linda and the truth of the matter is, my make-up looked incredible!!!

On time, professional, has amazing products that won't wash off during your wedding. She also has some cute things to wear on your hair. I already had my main piece but she complemented with some of hers to make it look just gorgeous. She is very organized and her equipment is clean.

Linda and Michelle came to the beach house we rented for our wedding back in June. I am from Pittsburgh and did all of my planning online so I was nervous having someone I had never met do my hair. I have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day. Linda came for a test run earlier in the week and I had no doubts after that. Mine and my sisters makeup and hair looked amazing! I was so thrilled. Michelle and Linda were both so friendly and very good at what they do. I highly recommend them. They made me feel like a princess! Thanks girls!

Linda and Michelle came to our place and did hair and makeup for the entire bridal party. they made it a very relxed and fun affair, taking away some of those pre wedding jitters. It was a breezy day on the beach, they made sure that our hair and makeup stayed in place, not only for the ceremony, but the entire evening. I loved Linda's own line of cosmetics...it is a "wedding day pamper" that I highly recommend.

Linda did mine and my bridal party's make-up for my wedding and I believe the woman who did our hair was named Ashley? Both of them were wonderful! They did everything from trying to make us feel relaxed to poking my rented earrings through my slightly swollen and somewhat closed over new piercings that I waited too close to my wedding date to get. (ha!) I was worried that about getting a make up artist because I've had some bad experiences and didn't want to look like I had shown up for prom 10 years too late but the hair and make-up both were completely modern and sleek (exactly what I wanted) and magazine worthy! Not to mention that the prices were unbelievably reasonable. Linda I would be happy to share my pics if you like...

Linda was great! I was having a hard time deciding between updo's and she took my two favorites and combined them for a beautiful style. My makeup was beautiful and me and my husband just loved the false eyelashes. I never even had to touch up my makeup and my wedding and reception were both outside on beach. I didn't use the airbrush makeup either. She recommended that I not use it since I would be outside the whole time. I really felt at ease with her and she made me feel calm during such a stressful time. I would definitely recommend her for anyone's wedding.

As soon as I first met Linda the owner, we just hit it off. We're both originally from the midwest & she made me feel very comfortable. Her professionalism shined especially with her sample book of her work. Being my FIRST marriage at 62 yrs. old I wanted to feel & look extra special on MY DAY. Linda herself was not available on my wedding day so she brought her assistant, Michelle for my preliminary makeup. What a treat! Michelle was just as special & professional as owner, Linda. So on my wedding day Michelle rang my doorbell right on time...what a relief. She proceeded with her expertise with her special makeup. When I finally looked in the mirror I looked like a 'china doll'...the magic was done! Especially to include the individual eye lashes. After the ceremony many told me how wonderful I looked and even the men told my new husband that I looked awesome. What wonderful reviews to hear helping make our day extra special. I would highly recommend Linda, her staff, & makeup to assure you that you will look unbelievable on your special day.

Linda was great. She showed up on time and with everything she needed. I brought a photo of what I wanted my hair to look like, and she did a great job. I was afraid to wear a lot of makeup, being that we were having a beach wedding, but she did a great job, and it looks beautiful in the pictures. Everyone said I was "stunning"!

It's nice to see that all the other reviewers had a great experience. I, however, did not. A couple of days before my wedding, I called Linda about adding an updo for one of my bridesmaids to her service. She said that was okay, but we would have to be at the location two hours earlier than she originally planned. I thought this was unusual and specifically asked if she meant that all of us, not just the lady getting the updo, would have to be there two hours earlier. She said yes, because once they start working they want to have everyone there so that when they finish with one person, they can start on the next. I was still skeptical but agreed. The day of the wedding, I was angry because we were at the location way earlier than we needed to be and it took her all of 20 minutes to do my bridesmaid's up-do. She asked me why I was upset and I told her that I thought it was ridiculous that we were there so early, then she claimed that she never said we all had to be there and chocked it up to a miscommunication.

I wasn't surprised at all to find out that she had another wedding after mine and the bride had requested that she show up earlier. That later came out while she was talking virtually non-stop while doing our make-up. She soon dashed off to go attend to the other bride. I never saw the complimentary lip-gloss that is promised on her website. I had to use my own (which I thankfully brought with me) for touch ups later in the day. Neither did I see any false eyelashes even though she told me over the phone that she would apply these to myself and the bridesmaids.

Linda and her assistant, also named Linda, are nice ladies but I was looking forward to spending time with my bridesmaids who all live in different parts of the country. Instead, I was stuck listening to their conversations and any effort to start conversation of my own was promptly overtaken by one of them. Linda, the assistant, even requested that I turn the music down that I had playing to set the mood for my big day. So much for my happiness.

I take nothing away from the make up that Linda did, I looked stunning. Maybe I am the one in a million customer who they just don't seem to please, but I really felt that I got second class treatment.

My wedding day (like everyone else's!) was stressful and hectic, but when Victorian Bride arrived, it was finally able to sit and relax and take a break! My hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted. It also withstood a beach wedding and massive wind and humidity! I was very worried about having my makeup "done." Previously when I've had it done, it comes out looking caked on and nothing like me! But with Victorian Bride, it was just how I would've done it, except better! The best part was the photographs came back and I looked like me, not a done-up version of me! The few hours while I was getting my hair and makeup done was the most relaxing part of the day, and was a wonderful treat (thanks Mom!). Also, I got married on a Sunday, so it was fantastic that they came to our hotel and did it on-site.

Linda was great! She is very responsive and I had alot of fun at my trail run through. They were right on time and very accomodating.
