A Victorian Garden

I was blown away. I am someone who does not know about flowers, and at the meeting, she was in my head. It was so great. She had so many amazing ideas I never could have come up with. When I saw the flowers the day of the wedding, I screamed and jumped up and down. They were just so amazing, I never could have imagined something so pretty on my own. They really held up well as too. They set everything up at the venue for me, and it was beautiful!

Growing up in the area, my family has always used this florist for everything. My mom suggested that they would be perfect for my wedding this past summer and she was right! Teri was lovely to work with. I brought ideas to her and she executed them beautifully. Something for brides to note- make sure that you are very specific about what you want. Creative people will get creative with your ideas, so if there is an vision you have in your mind, make sure you clearly communicate it aloud- no one can read your mind! Luckily, I learned this early on and the things that Teri was creative with turned out beautifully.

She used seasonal flowers for all of the bouquets- which were absolutely stunning. Even the hydrangea, which typically is hard to keep hydrated, lasted all night. We brought over containers- mason jars, wine bottles, etc.- for them to use for the arrangements and they were very accomodating. Very reasonable cost in my opinion as well!

I met with a few different florists for my wedding, but none made me feel at ease like Teri. We discussed many options to stay within my budget and I had no doubt that everything would be beautiful. It was and the day was great.

I wanted something very simple and basic for a very small wedding party, I had a tight budget for my wedding, I brought Teri some pictures and she had no problem pretty much giving me the look I was going for while suggesting very reasonable flowers that were available for the colors I was looking for. Not your standard bouquets. I recommend working with her if your wedding is in the area.

When I met Terri I was very happy with her shop and ideas. She is very creative and was willing to do some different things that she had not done before. No complaints about the planning process at all. The day of the wedding, I got a phone call from my husband telling me that the flowers for the groomsmen and grandparents weren't there. After making a few phone calls, I find out that they forgot to bring them to the church and would not be able to get them for the ceremony. They were dropped off while were were saying our "I do's" but, none of the groomsmen/grandparents/grooms parents had flowers at the wedding. I have to say that the reception was beautiful and unique and everything that I hoped it would be. When I was on my honeymoon, I got a call from the reception hall asking if I could get a hold of my florist because she had not picked up any of the decorations (2 or 3 days after the wedding). Terri did agree to give us some money back for the mess up, but did not even cover what the flowers cost that were missing from the ceremony. She also told us that a employee was sick, but when you are a business owner, issues like that should not effect your clients. I spent a lot of money and feel that the flowers and arrangements themselves were gorgeous, but the service was not up to par.

Terri was fantastic! The flowers came out gorgeous! We were very pleased.

Terry at A Victorian Garden did a great job with our ceremony and reception flowers. We weren't picky and we left a lot up to her and her team since they are the professionals- we simply said a couple things we didn't want and a couple we did want and gave colors and they did the rest. Our guests complimented the flowers, although seeing the finished product was a little different than what I had imagined it would be, it was still very nice. If I gave more input I'm sure there wouldn't be any surprises. One thing forgotten was the crystal/silver accents for the brides bouquet. Terry gives you the opportunity to read the invoice and correct anything and make changes before the final payments, but even a couple things on the invoice were missed for the final display; only something a bride would realize!

Bottom line, my bouquet was supposed to be a large bouquet of flowers...most expensive arrangement ($200+) in the order and it was very disappointing. They were just cut flowers wrapped with a ribbon with exposed stems that were damp/wet when I picked them up as I got ready to walk down the aisle. Luckily one of the waiters grabbed me a cloth napkin that I could wrap around the stems so it wouldn't stain the front of my dress!
During the ordering process, the prices continued to change on the different items anywhere from $5-20. Luckily I had kept notes of our conversations.
The arrangements were nice - not outstanding - but I don't think I would recommend them to anyone.

We let the florist take charge with the final design and they looked beautiful.

They have a nice sense of style and color and did a good job working within our budget. I wasn't blown away by the flowers but they were very pretty and a good value for what we were willing to pay. I'm sure if we had a bigger budget they would have done an amazing job...they had great ideas. I wish they had been a bit more responsive in communicating though...sometimes weeks would go by without hearing back about a question. But, if you called on the phone you'd get an answer right away so that was really ok.

The floral designs were modern, very high quality, and created to my exact specifications. They nailed the color, size, and the exact look that I wanted. My flowers were full and in perfect condition all day! I got married at 2:00 and our reception did not end until midnight and the flowers were perfect even at the end of the day without a spot on them. All of the arrangements had a section that provided water which was different than many vendors which I visited. They were very flexible about adding jewels and other personal touches that I provided to the florist and ordered independently. I would highly recommend them and feel that they did an excellent job!

All our bouquets were stunning!! The flowers at the church and reception were exactly what we wanted.
