I hired Private Stock for my wedding reception in January of 2009. Mark was flexible in helping to plan the music and the flow of the evening, even taking time to rehearse our first dance song several weeks beforehand. He's a stand-up guy with a great knowledge of music, and an accomplished singer/keyboard player to boot. His Private Stock band also included drums, conga, guitar, and sax. They was setup on time, and ended up playing longer than we hired them for without being asked, since parts of the reception ran longer than planned. Musically, every tune the band played was enjoyed by all -- my bride and I received many compliments from guests regarding the great atmosphere the band created. They did a jazz set during the cocktail hour, a variety of samba/swing/rock tunes during their second set, including a great cover of James Taylor's 'How Sweet It Is' for our first dance, and then finished out the night with a rockin' third set. Really classy music that made for a really enjoyable evening. And all for a great price! I highly recommend this group.

wedding arrangements and book the band or the venue or both, right here! We not only have a newly renovated functioning event space/art gallery but we also can provide the entertainment to make your special day a great success! Our
in-house band, "Private Stock", has played for the Governor, and plays a variety of music from Frank Sinatra to the Rolling Stones. We can provide you anything from a jazzy three piece group to a full 5 piece band with horns and congas.
When you have owned a music store as long as we have, (Metro Sound since 1991), chances are you will find some amazing musicians to build a band and we have! And now we have renovated the building next door to accomadate up to 150 guests for
special events. It’s all up to you!
What if I want to use my own caterer or entertainment? We have teamed up with some of the area’s finest professionals or you can choose your own. You are welcome to bring your own band, DJ, or caterer, we just want you to be happy with the results.
What are the accomodations? This 100 year old building is newly renovated with a kitchen, bathrooms, HVAC and more! When you work with Metro Space Gallery you are getting a multi-faceted company with experience in entertainment, customer service, artwork, musicians and more.
What’s the handicapped-access like for our older guests? We have extremely easy access for handicapped guests. There are no steps to get into the building which makes it simple for wheelchairs and those with disabilities to gain entry.
Converted from a 100 year old furniture store, located in the heart of the Arts District in historic Richmond, Virginia, Metro Space Gallery features an elegant location that works both as an event space and an art gallery. It features original maple floors, 18’ high tin ceilings, highly detailed woodwork and staircase, street level handicap access, new bathrooms and kitchen.
