FROM THE HUSBAND: Allen was simply incredible. We hired a DJ, but he pretty much leant himself as a coordinator, usher, bouncer, and even a wedding planner. Extremely professional and courteous, and very versatile, and I haven't even talked about the music yet!

Considering our eclectic group of guests, I must say that Allen's choice of songs throughout the night was THE reason why EVERYONE had such a great time. He got my fiancee's grandfather, who by no means is familiar to Western-style weddings, to improvise tai-chi exercises on the dance floor; he got toddlers to boogie-down, bachelors and bachelorettes to shake that thing, all the while working his magic to get people to actually enjoy my favorite music: the humdrum sounds of the 80's/90's.

If I ever get married again, he would be my first choice. I strongly recommend you to consider no one else but Allen.


FROM THE WIFE: As my husband said above, Allen goes above and very far beyond his duties as a DJ. Within 5 minutes of my first phone conversation with him, I knew that we would be hiring him.

He is incredibly organized, readily available, and quick to respond. He anticipates the things you do not, ahead of time, and is so skilled at what he does, that he gives incredible advice in regards to the night's timeline and flow of events.

He worked in my music requests at the perfect moments, kept the night flowing smoothly, and made sure people were having an amazing time. I felt like we were well taken care of and throughout the planning process, never gave a second thought to our hiring choice.

Allen also provided us with LED uplighting for a VERY reasonable price, and a projector for the slideshow. These are all just bonus rentals that he offers to his clients. He was always on time (regardless of by phone or in person) and well prepared for any question or request I threw at him. He's a class act without a hint of cheesiness.

I recommend Allen to everyone without reservation. You won't regret it...

AAA DJ Service - Allen Layton was fantastic. During our first consultation he laid out all the specifics on what needs to go into making our wedding complete and fun! Allen was great to work with and was very flexible with what types of music we wanted. He gave us some great music options to work with also. You will immediately feel a connection with him once you meet him. Allen was well aware of our wedding timelines and followed up with us, the other vendors, and venue. Our venue was brand new and he came out with us for a site visit just to see what equipment he needed and details on setup. I recommend AAA DJ Service if you want first in class service!

We just got married a month ago and used Allen as our DJ. Allen was AWESOME!!!!!!!! Let us just tell you how pleased we were with him and why. Allen was very professional from the start. It was obvious he had done this a thousand times. We had numerous calls with him where he got a feel for how we wanted our wedding to flow, what kind of songs we wanted played, how much he should be speaking, etc. We didn’t have a wedding planner so he helped create a detailed timeline of the entire evening - from what time the ceremony starts, to what time the best man toast is, to what time the cake cutting is, etc. This was extremely helpful to us as we obviously didn’t know what we were doing!!

On the day of the event, Allen arrived early and got all 3 locations set up (ceremony area, cocktail area, and reception area) in plenty of time. Plus we got LED lighting done by him – which was a great decision to do so because it made the ambience so much more romantic. It is well worth the nominal amount he charges – we definitely recommend it! As the event started, Allen became the captain of the ship. He kept everything moving and on time. He frequently informed us when the next item on the agenda was coming up and what we had to do. He also has a great voice – seriously though – this is very important when you have someone making announcements of various things throughout the night. Allen played great music too – the dance floor was filled throughout the evening. Our guests ranged in age but he played a good variety so that everyone was enjoying themselves.

We were extremely happy with Allen and everything he did. There was not one thing we weren’t happy with or had to worry about – at all. Allen was our favorite vendor amongst all our great vendors. He put us at ease and gave us extreme piece of mind throughout entire event and planning process. Thank you, Allen, for being a part of our special day and doing such a wonderful job!!

There are those days when you need things to be, well, right. They can't be pretty good and they can't be close. You need to have confidence that you have the right person on the job. That's what we got when we hired Allen. It was easy to tell he'd be good from our first interview. His professionalism was immediately apparent, but what impressed us at that first meeting was his perspective. He was eager to hear our wishes and share how he could help us fulfill those wishes, but what we didn't expect was how he shared his years of experience. He suggested details that kept our guests engaged, touches that helped make the day more personal and most of all steered us from songs that he knew would clear the dance floor while suggesting others that would get everyone shaking it, no matter how unlikely it seemed. He also gave us discrete heads-ups so that we knew how we were doing on the timeline and what was coming next.

When we walked into the reception and were introduced his voice rang out like a boxing announcer's. Our guests were as roused by it as we were; his voice filled the room only to be overtaken by the applause of our friends and family. Timely, unobtrusive, considerate, conscientious and hard working, he was the grease that kept our day moving perfectly and we couldn't be more grateful for the contribution he made to a day better than I could have imagined.

I wish we had another opportunity to hire him sometime soon.

I have to thank Allen for my reception being a success! We wanted not only someone to play music but really Emcee the evening too, and we chose well! Allen is worth every penny. The dance floor was FLOODED with people! He went over every reception detail, the timeline, learned how to pronounce last names correctly. Superb at announcing grand entrance, toasts, first dance, anniversary dance, & cake cutting. My guests always knew when they should grab their camera. I can’t thank him enough for making my reception wonderful for everyone, young and old alike. I’ll be hiring him in the future for any large parties I'll have.

Allen is simply the best. Of all the vendors I hired he was by far my favorite. Every time I had a question, he had the answer. He kept the entire reception flowing seamlessly from one event to the next. He was the Disc Jockey, Master of Ceremony, and Coordinator all wrapped into one. So many guests told me it was by FAR the best reception they had ever been to and I know it was because of Allen.

Allen at AAA DJ was AMAZING!!! When searching for a DJ you obviously want the best and that's what I wanted. He was the third DJ we interviewed and right away we were blown away by his professionalism, organization, and process. He is really there for you throughout the process if you need him. He goes in detail as to how the reception is to go and goes through it several times for pronunciations, orders, etc, just in case there are any changes. We only gave him about 5 must plays and left the rest up to him. I can't even tell you how many people came up to me and my mother to comment on how great he was and what great music he played. He played music from every genre and the dance floor was packed the entire night. In fact, he was playing such good music that people couldn't wait to dance and we hadn't even done our first dance yet. It was amazing and he just adjusted the timeline of events for when we would have the first dance. It was great! He also isn't one of those DJs that talks into the microphone all night. He only does it when necessary and let's everyone else have a blast. He was amazing and if you need a DJ I would recommend Allen!! I am so glad we saw his name and met with him as I don't know what our wedding would have been like without him.

Allen Layton and his company AAA DJ Service did an absolultey amazing job at our reception. From the first time we met with and hired Allen months before our wedding, he was so helpful and gave us so many great ideas and suggestions to really make our wedding special. He suggested that we do a photo montage set to music and truthfully I had so much on my plate with planning the wedding that it seemed like another huge task that I wasn't sure I had the time for. I can honestly say from the reactions of my new husband (who cried through the whole montage) to the guests telling me how beautiful it was, that the photo montage was one of the highlights of the wedding, and it was all thanks to Allen. Also, prior to the wedding, we planned out the timing of the events, which was extremely helpful, and on the day of, he was amazing in the way he made sure to keep everything on schedule and keep guests entertained and happy. I would recommend Allen to anyone for a wedding or any other event requiring great music and a fantastic master of ceremonies!!!! :)

Allen was an absolute gem, one of the best wedding decisions we made! He MC'd/DJ'd our wedding on June 6, 2009, provided the mic/system for the ceremony and the screen and projector for our reception, and was also a pseudo-coordinator, to complement our actual day-of-coordinator. Many hats, and he wore them all perfectly. The best thing about Allen is the absolute confidence he was able to instill in us that he would make our wedding a successful one. We didn't need to manage him at all - he used his skill and experience to manage us and our wedding, which, for two people who are new to this whole wedding planning thing, was a breath of fresh air! :)

During the planning process, he was very organized and pro-active. He contacted us when the time came without our ever prompting him too. He was the only vendor that I can say we never once had to push for information or wonder what type of information he'd need from us. He was ahead of us the whole time, and when I was inundated with emails and things to do, he kept politely emailing me to remind me to send him the details he needed. Whenever I emailed him, he responded immediately (I think he sits by the computer all day!). He went to our venue to scout it out, helped us personalize our event as needed, practiced the names that were to be announced, and gave helpful suggestions to keep things flowing and exciting. He really made us feel like we were his only clients - not once did we feel that he was too busy for us, was mixing us up with another wedding, or had other clients that were more important. That takes skill, especially since we know he is VERY experienced and in fact has many many clients!

On the day of, he played the music we wanted while transitioning perfectly from dinner to a party mood. Even before the dancing started, our guests came to us to say that they were tapping their feet the entire time - exactly as Allen explained to us he would try to achieve (the build/ramp-up). It seemed they were almost begging us to start the dancing! When the dancing started, to be honest I cannot recall the exact songs that were played, and that is a good thing, because at absolutely no moment did we or any of the guests pause to say "Huh? What happened, why is he playing this?" I've experienced that many many times at other people's weddings...but not even once with Allen! Instead, the party kept going and once we started there was never a moment when the dance floor was not full.

When things got overwhelming, Allen grabbed my hand and led us away from the path of our guests so we could keep things moving. When we wanted the itinerary changed at the last minute, he accommodated. When the mic was not perfectly responding to our guest giving their toast, he was on it. People told us our wedding was "seamless" - as the bride, knowing how things in reality had to be rearranged, ran late, etc at the last minute, as happens with any event - hearing this from our guests meant that Allen deserved a lot of credit! He has that perfect MC voice and attitude - professional, smooth, and not cheesy. He got the job done and let the party carry itself without intervening with cheesy comments or jokes. Exactly what we wanted.

I cannot speak for the technical aspects, except to say that the sound was crisp and clear, the music and mic volumes were perfect, the cables and areas were kept clear, the projector screen was set up with lightning speed and taken down with lightning speed, and the equipment worked just as it should.

Overall, Allen is organized, experienced, professional, and very kind and sweet to boot! He even played weatherman; he reassured me that the hail we had a few days prior to our wedding would not be there on our wedding day, and it wasn't. In fact, it was an absolutely gorgeous day and evening. Thank you so much Allen, you really were instrumental to making our day happy and memorable, we both recommend you whole-heartedly!

Allen was very professional right from the beginning. I could definitely tell he has many years of experience. On the day of our event everything flowed perfectly and our guests have repeatedly told us that our wedding was the most fun they've ever been to. My husband and I definitely recommend Allen.

Allen was incredible! Not only did he act as DJ, but he was a wedding coordinator as well. He brought the crowd out of the bar and onto the dance floor when needed, let my new husband and I know when it was time to mingle - basically he made sure the entire night moved along smoothly.

Allen is a very sweet professional gentleman. When my fiancé and I first met with him we were not sure what type of music we wanted to have at our reception. The last thing we wanted was cheesy. Allen assured us that he would guide us in any way possible to make this event a memorable one. Allen was my DJ for my August 16 wedding and he did a fantastic job! I didn't need to hire a wedding coordinator because he scheduled the entire night for me. He is very professional and not cheesy. My mother-in-law is hard to please and she kept complimenting me for choosing Allen! I highly recommend him. Book him!

We just got married earlier this month at La Venta and could not be more pleased with Allen's services! We loved Allen from our initial meeting- he's professional and very knowledgeable about what it takes to create a successful wedding party, and he came highly recommended by our venue. Allen Layton is the Wedding King!

As a professional photographer, I worked with Allen at a wedding four years ago and was so impressed by his organization at the reception, his performance, music selection and really, just his kindness that I refer him whenever I can.

I got married on March 21, 2009 and Allen was the first person I called. We felt so lucky to get him because I know how busy he is! I don't know what we would've done without him!

Allen goes the extra mile. During the planning, he is excellent about keeping in touch and making sure your needs are met. His timeline and questionaire are well thought out and make it easy to visualize how the event will unfold.

During the reception, he made sure that we ate, which may sound silly but at the time was very much appreciated! He had a great game with the centerpieces, organized the toasts, was fun with the flower/ garter tosses, and had a good mix of slow and upbeat dances. He really keeps a watch on the time and makes sure that we do everything that we planned and keeps the reception on schedule. Our reception was fantastic.

Also, Allen has a really sophisticated and great sounding PA sound system, microphones and lighting system. It seems like he invests well in his gear and makes sure everything is working at full performance.

As for music, Allen has an incredibly deep catalog to choose from. We wanted a lot of obscure 50's rock, 60's reggae and specific jazz cuts and if Allen didn't have it, he was super cool about us sending him a disk and working the tracks in. He really wanted us to be happy with our music and make sure everything got played.

We felt that he understood us and our musical tastes and he chose an awesome mix for the dancing. Allen has a great ear and excellent taste for all genres. It was fun talking to him about what directions we thought the music should go and was very considerate to our guests.

Most importantly, Allen Layton is really cares. He loves weddings and genuinely wants to do a great job. I am so happy that he DJ'd our wedding and am happy that he is my wife and my friend. Allen Layton is the real deal!

My husband and I met with several different DJ's before finding Allen Layton. We were really looking for someone with the capability to control the flow of the wedding, and keep everything and everyone on schedule. As soon as we met with Allen, we knew right away he was the one! He instantly put us at ease- he is incredibly organized and efficient. The wedding went very well, thanks to Allen's well constructed timeline. We love him, and are so grateful that we were able to snag him for our wedding. Finally, Allen's experience helped our reception to flow perfectly as he managed to fix minor hotel and in-law flaws so that no one noticed and I was able to relax and dance the night away!

Allen came highly recommended to us by a friend. We met with him and hired him on the spot because we were so impressed with his knowledge of weddings. Needless to say, Allen did an amazing job at our wedding. He pays VERY close attention to detail. He did the music for both our ceremony and reception. Allen went above and beyond his duties as a DJ. He gave us suggestions on how to organize the timeline of the wedding which helped tremedously. We know this was a very stressful day for Allen. The evening before our event there was a fire across the street from the golf course we were getting married on!!! He called us to alert us to this fact. Plus it was the hottest day of the summer and he had to pack up his equipment from the ceremony location in Palos Verdes and be prepared for a cocktail party and dinner in at the reception location in Long Beach. Even with all the stresses Allen remained polite, organized and upbeat during the whole event. His DJ services were the most affordable we found out of any "experienced wedding DJ" in Southern California. At an additional cost he provided lighting which looked stunning. This was also the most affordable lightening we found. Our wedding day was the most amazing day of our lives and we have Allen and all the other amazing people who helped us out to thank!!!

After the introductory call with Allen it was clear that he was the DJ for me! He was very familiar with my reception site which made me very comfortable because he knew where he would set up and the exact equipment he would need. The second reason I liked Allen was because he understood the type of reception I wanted to have. The third reason we chose Allen was because not only was he going to be our DJ, but he was also going to help us with the timliness of events from our ceremony to our reception. For example, after the ceremony, he advised our immediate family to stay for pictures, while he directed our other guests to the reception area.

Another great thing about Allen is that he takes the time to speak with you in detail about music selections and the 'flow' of things during your reception, based on the information you give him.

On the day of the wedding, we were so happy we selected Allen because he played the music at the perfect level (no one had to yell over the table to have a converstaion). During the craziness of the wedding reception when it's easy to forget the little details, he reminded us about visiting tables and greeting guests, and he prepared us for the cake cutting and special photo poses. It was so great to have someone care enough to remind us about all the "little things".

Having attended plenty of events in my 40+ years, I knew that I wanted someone who deliver excellent music and sound. I used Allen as my DJ and was blow away by his sounds. He followed my list of songs and put his spin on things he was just amazing.

I am so glad I hired Allen for my wedding reception!! Many, many of my guests came up to me during and afterwards to comment on what a great DJ we had and how the music appealed to both young and old. When my husband and I opened the dance floor half-way through our first dance, I expected about 4-5 couples to join us. Instead, the dance floor was FLOODED with people! I have never seen anything like it before. The floor was too small...and this was a crowd that doesn't really dance! It was wonderful. Plus, his emcee skills were fantastic and he thought of every little detail...including handing a glass of champagne to our Best Man when he forgot it for the toast. I made the best decision in choosing Allen as our DJ for our May 23 '09 wedding. He is very organized, professional and very accommodating to your needs. I'm so impressed with his communication. Not once did he fail to miss my calls. He is one of the vendors that DID NOT give me stress at all when it comes to planning. He made sure that everything was going to be smooth. He offered suggestions and tips to make your day beautiful. He coordinated very well with my other vendors. He talks to me and deals with my wedding as if it was his own wedding.

Wedding day:

he was incredible. he played the music I like as planned. Everyone still talks about how great our emcee was. He made our wedding reception lively in spite of my family being all reserved. he made everyone laugh with his strategies. There's not enough words to describe how this DJ made my day so beautiful. highly recommended. don't look elsewhere.

Allen is a Rock Star!! From the moment we first made contact he was professional, courteous, and very helpful. During our first meeting, his experience, talent, and love for his job was clear to both me and my fiancé (now wife) and we knew within the first 5 minutes that he was going to be a part of our big day. Although our wedding/reception wasn't traditional in many ways, Allen never made us feel awkward for doing things our way. He was very easy and pleasant to talk to and offered great suggestions while never being pushy.

By the way, our wedding coordinator referred Allen to us after we actually said we weren’t interested in hiring a DJ... but looking back we can't imagine the day without him because he was so much more than just a DJ. Besides playing great music and keeping the party alive, he was an excellent “master of ceremonies” who worked with our wedding coordinator throughout the day/night to ensure the entire event went smoothly. He was an indispensable part of our wedding on May 7, 2009 and we recommend him for any occasion!

Allen is great. We wanted to stay away from the "typical" DJ situation, and got exactly what we wanted. He will listen to what YOU want, what songs you love or hate, and will tailor the music to fit your style. But he will also offer his professional opinion, which was super helpful. Allen is fantastic with "crowd control" and timelining the reception. He's honest and flexible. Overall, we are very happy, as were all of our guests.

Alan was the perfect match for us, we had been looking for a DJ/MC for a couple of months before our wedding, when we first met Alan we knew that we had found what we were looking for. Alan was very professional and personable. Alan had everything planned out, so that we had nothing to worry about. He took care of everything that a wedding planner would have. At the reception, Alan got everyone up out of their seats and onto the dance floor. At the end of the night everyone commented on how wonderful Alan was.

We recently used DJ Allen for our April 18th wedding. He was an amazing DJ! He was extremely helpful in the planning of our reception and always offered his suggestions and advice but never forced them on us. He always answered all of my emails and phone calls professionally and in a timely manner.

DJ Allen kept the flow of our reception flowing with great music and best of all kept to the timeline. Allen provided the slideshow and projector for a nominal fee and it was a hit at our reception. If you want an experienced and professional DJ Allen is it!

Allen DJed our wedding and we could not have been happier. Friendly, personable, and extremely professional- Allen really knows his stuff. We planned our wedding without a coordinator and Allen took the reins and had our night scheduled down to the minute- we didn't have to worry about a thing! When the Best Man spoke, Allen made sure there was a glass in his hand. When I cut the cake, Allen made sure I had my jacket on. When the bride walked down the aisle, he was there to open the doors and fluff her train. He was everywhere we needed him to be while at the same time, completely invisible. We asked for a relaxing, fun environment without much of the cliche wedding songs or "chicken dance" style activities and he provided that PERFECTLY. The dance floor was packed all night long and we had guests coming up to us all night complimenting his choice of music and pacing. It was a beautiful night and we owe a huge deal of that to Allen.

Allen was our DJ and I have to say he was the perfect choice. Since everyone in our wedding party lived in different states we were unable to rehearse anything in advance. However, Allen made sure we all knew what to do at the right time and place. Allen was amazing. He took care of every little detail from handing my maid of honor her champange for the toast because she forgot it to finding the groom when he decided to go to the restroom at the time of the garter toss.
Allen keeps you posted on each thing that will happen next. You don't have to worry about anything. He will let you know what you need to do and also makes sure your photographer and everyone else is ready.
I got numerous compliments about him throughout the night. Everyone complimented on the song selections through dinner and the reception. They said they had never been to a wedding where there wasn't a song they didn't like. This was their first. This came from both young and old.
Allen takes alot of pride in his work and it shows. From the first meeting with him until the day of the event Allen was always very helpful and took time to get to know what we wanted. I highly recommend Allen to anyone. He is 5 stars all the way A++. I don't know what we would have done without him.

Allen is great. Very professional and easy to work with. He even made sure both me and my fiancee agreed on what song we wanted! The best was how he acted not only as our DJ, but coordinator for the event as well, letting people know when and where they were suppose to be and guiding the event.

Absolute perfection! Allen made our wedding wonderful! He was professional and personable from the very beginning, and helpful throughout the entire process. From our interactions before the wedding, in person and on the phone, I felt completely comfortable with him and had complete confidence in him. I can honestly say that after my first conversation with Allen I was convinced my wedding would be a hit. Then after my first official meeting with Allen I was convinced I no longer needed a wedding coordinator! We had been looking at various band and DJ options and decided to go with Allen based on the reviews on this website. Allen was really wonderful throughout our entire planning process and the wedding day. He was obviously experienced and professional. He helped make our wedding timeline and brought up points that we had not thought of that would make the reception go smoothly and keep everyone dancing. I interviewed MANY DJ’s (which is quite a long laborious process…make sure to bring lots of PATIENCE to the interview process) and right when I met DJ Allen Layton I knew I found my guy. From get-go he understood the difference between a wedding DJ and a typical DJ. He knew just the right counter balance of things I wanted and what was feasible and helped guide me through it without ever just saying, “No, I can’t do that,” which I really appreciated.

His style, demeanor and outlook on weddings was exactly what I was looking for. He did not want to be on the microphone too much or out on the dance floor, but understood where and when his participation would help enhance the reception and not overwhelm it. DJ Allen is a very calm guy who really surveys the crowd and rolls with the punches. Anyone who has been involved with the actual wedding day logistics would agree that easy-going, yet knowledgeable and directive, yet non-obtrusive are GREAT characteristics for a wedding day vendor and Allen had this down to a “T”.

Of course you never really know the value of a vendor until the day-of, I was not nervous at all about DJ Allen and he surpassed my expectations! We immediately picked Allen because he had done our friends wedding 5 yrs ago and it was amazing. We hired Allen to DJ our wedding ceremony. When we first met with him, he immediately impressed us with his professional approach and style. Allen was simply great. I was actually a bit surprised at how much difference a professional DJ could make. His input before the wedding proved extremely helpful ... everything from finalizing a reception schedule to how to handle tricky family members. At the reception, he really did a fantastic job keeping the environment upbeat, keeping us on schedule, and helping with the thousand small things that need to be done.

I booked Allen the December before my wedding. I was so impressed with him that I booked him for my wedding the day after meeting him.

Allen did a wonderful job with my wedding! He assisted me through the whole process from making the timeline for the wedding to the ceremony music. The day of the wedding, he coordinated the day with all the vendors on site. Allen kept us on time with all the little details that needed to be completed through the day. The wedding music is exactly what we wanted. All of our guests raved about the variety and flow of the music through the event. He was professional and friendly throughout the whole process. If you hire an MC for your wedding he or she will naturally take a managerial role during your wedding day, you'll definitely want someone with experience.
If you read Allen's business card, it says, "committed to exceed your expectations". That is how exactly how we felt. He scheduled a two hour conference call (we live out of town), two weeks before the wedding where he walked us through the different wedding style options. He also wanted to get the exact pronounciation for the Chinese, Korean, and Indian names. On the wedding day he would make up for our mistakes, such as not using the microphone properly, or not having a champagne glass during the toast, or not having a jacket during picture taking. Overall, he was very professional, and he took care of us on our wedding day.

Allen was fantastic. He truly made our wedding spectacular. We liked him from the start. He was always available to us for any questions or concerns. Guests at the wedding have since commented to us that he was really great and that the music was perfect. He played all the music we wanted and made the reception go so smoothly. Allen was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! He was by far our favorite vendor! Throughout planning our wedding he would just send an email and check in with us. Allen Layton is the best DJ! When I had my 50th birthday party in 2003, Allen was recommended to me -- he was fabulous! He was very professional & also very fun to work with. His suggestions were most welcome. So, when I was planning my wedding in 2006, the venue I had chosen gave me a recommended vendor list & first on the list was Allen for DJ service. I had intended on having Allen coordinate the music at my wedding & when I saw him on the recommendation list, it confirmed for me that others agreed with me. And that very night when I got home I called Allen & he remembered me & my Hawaiian motif party & was more than happy to help me out once again. He is a dream to work with -- accepts suggestions willingly -- he wants to make your event a special memory & in my case he succeeded not once, but twice.

Allen MCd and DJd our wedding at the Villa del Sol d’Oro in Sierra Madre and did an absolutely brilliant job. We thought so, and all the guests thought so too. We could not recommend him highly enough.

We knew from the first meeting that Allen was our man! Our venue was tricky from the point of view that is was “compartmentalized” – quite a few different areas and rooms, and we were impressed at how seriously Allen took the issue of crowd control and managing the flow of people and energy around the Villa throughout the course of the wedding. This was so important, and he did it masterfully.

As an MC, Allen was professional, polite, charming and funny. He was never too conspicuous, but coolly directed events from the fringes, yet he still was able to add a whole lot of energy to the event. What is more, he orchestrated the grand exit with real style and fun. Indeed Allen was pretty much our second day-of coordinator, and what a blessing he was!

As a DJ Allen was fantastic too. We had given him a long list of what we wanted him to play, knowing that there would never be time to play them all, and we also wanted him to add his own creative flair and just go with the flow, wherever the mood of the wedding was going. At each stage of the wedding (pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing) Allen struck the perfect note, with a mix of our requests and his choices. It was perfect! The energy slowly built throughout the evening, and by the end, EVERYBODY was dancing!

Throughout our dealings with Allen, we were really impressed with this enthusiasm, professionalism and good-humor. Some of our other vendors were quite difficult to get hold of, but when dealing with them he was persistent, and went above and beyond what we would have expected. We felt in good hands at all times, especially on the wedding day itself - really he was the most valuable person to have around because of his skill in managing people and experience of weddings (even though he’d never done an event at our venue before).

Alan did an awesome job! My husband(aww)and my main concern was the affordability and value of our entertainment. Alan was wonderfully priced,(basically, about $100 per hour, we had him from 9-3pm) and the value of his service went above and beyond!

Very affordable, professional,easy to communicate with if we had any questions, and he arrived promptly for the big day.

Alan was very organized as well, so we had our mind at ease. I definitely would recommend Alan for the couple that is on a budget, but who don't want to sacrifice service ;-)

Allen was a very professional and accomodating DJ. We were struck by his professionalism and dedication to making our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. He spent the time to ensure that we had all the music we wanted played (including latin music that was difficult to find!). We would definitely use him again and recommend him to our friends!

Allen is truly a gem. With all that my husband's brother (the "best" man) did to destroy our wedding, Allen was there to keep things running smoothly. We were behind schedule because of something that happened at the ceremony and Allen worked his magic to get us back on track without cutting things out or making it apparent to our guests that things were becomeing a bit stressful. When things went wrong, Allen made it seem like it was all part of the plan. He was truly on top of it. Prior to the wedding, we had made a few special requests. We planned a special dance for the bridal party, obtained a song that hasn't even been released yet for the entrance, etc. Allen rose to the occasion and made all of our strange requests a reality. I recommend him whole-heartedly.

Allen was the DJ at our wedding back in November. I couldn't have been happier with the job that he did. Everything was on time (he kept our huge wedding party in line!), the dance floor was packed with all age groups, and his attention to detail was impeccable! He was so prepared and he made sure the day turned out exactly how we wanted it. I was really nervous about picking the music and trying to keep everyone happy, but he made it so easy. He did a lot research on the music we requested. If he didn't have a song that we wanted, he found it for us. AAA DJ Service - Allen Layton was a great DJ. He provided us a great service and was very helpful throughout. He is detail-oriented which I really liked. He was very responsive and you could tell all along that he cared about what he did and really wanted to help us make sure our special day happened exactly the way we wanted it too. And he really did end up doing a great job of making our wedding day go as smoothly as possible for us. Aside from one or two minor things (that are a bit nit-picky on my part, like he talked over the conclusion of our dance a tiny bit and introduced us a bit too athletic event style for my taste), everything with him was great. He did a really great job overall and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends and would love to have him DJ another one of my events in the future. The music he played was awesome and it was everything that I wanted and more. I was really impressed by his control of the music, and his presentation of the music at our wedding was perfectly tailored to my and my wife's needs and wants.

It has been three months after my wedding and I still have people come up to me to tell me it was by far the best wedding they have ever been to. I can't take credit for everything because what Allen did during the reception made our wedding day one to remember. He saved it! We found Allen based on the good reviews on this website. The only thing I can tell you about Allen is he is awesome. He is actually the first DJ I interviewed and I told my husband I wanted to book hime immediately. From the first time we met, he has been always professional and helpful. He is always there when we need him. He even called us two days before the wedding just to make sure he pronounced the names of every bridal party and both parents correctly. (We are Asians and it's not easy for non-Asians to pronounce accurately.) On the wedding date, we got a lot of compliments about the music. I would definetly recommend Alley to anybody. Hands down....He is the best.

We were absolutely 100% satisfied with the excellent work that Allen did for us prior to and the day of the wedding/reception. His hard work and diligence in planning was superb and very comforting to both of us, especially my wife! He did a great job at one of the tougher venues for a DJ to work. The dance floor was filled, young and old, and everyone had a blast. One extra kudos I would like to note, Allen was our savior when the speaker system at our venue went down. allen was the best choice in vendors i made for my entire wedding. he was professional from the beginning and made the reception portion the least part of my stress in planning. from the first meeting his approach and attitude put me at immediate ease and his follow through with all of his promises did not fall short. i received many compliments at his professional style and i think he stressed more than i did in making sure my reception was memorable and included all the events i requested. his dedication to being the best DJ is evident in his execution from start to finish. i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

I would sincerely recommend Allen for a Wedding DJ. He was very professional, and on top of everything. AAA DJ Service exceeded my expectations! What a way to finish off our wedding reception with Allen's excellent service and professionalism as a DJ and emcee. When we first met Allen, I was hesitant in believing everything he was saying because I thought he was saying what I wanted to hear so we could hire him. Fast forward to our wedding and Allen did not disappoint! Although I had a small reception (approximately 140 persons), everytime I looked around the reception area, I noticed almost all of our guests were on the dance floor!
