Our wedding was the weekend of another big event in town. We quickly saw that we were on the back burner. We had to downsize the tent on the spot because it would not fit even though they had measured for it. When they sent the contract things were on the contract that were not supposed to be there but were still not taken off when they resent the contract. Our family had used Aay's before but we could tell this weekend we were not number one on their priority list.
We rented our tent, tables, chairs, lights, patio heater, and dance floor from AAYS. The rental was our second biggest wedding expense after the caterer so I expected great service. We were disappointed with AAYS for a couple of reasons. First, they quoted us the wrong size tent (because it had to fit over the tennis court) after they assured me they were out and measured it. Well...months later they came back to us and needed $300 more for a larger size. Annoying. I needed a CAD layout of the tables and chairs under the tent and they worked with me on it, but they never seemed happy to do it, like it was an inconvenience. I work in customer service and would never treat someone like they did me. My CAD layout was also not accurrate and we had to shift the entire layout under the tent once it was set up, which was difficult since I had spent so much time making one I thought would work. Their CAD failed to note a pole right in the middle of the tent, so the dance floor couldn't be set up there.
Lastly, and most frustrating, I was told when I hired AAYS that we could make decisions based on weather the day before the wedding. The tent got set up Wednesday for our Saturday wedding (which was nice), but they made me decide then if I wanted walls or not. It ended up working out, but I really wanted to make that decision on Friday when we had a better idea of the weather.
Ultimately everything was fine, but I think they are lacking in customer service, and weren't very professional. I would not use them again or recommend them. I could've done without the annoyance of working with them!
We rented a lot of things for our wedding: tent, chairs, tables, place settings, etc. They were definitely the best price around, with service to match. A.J was especially helpful, letting us set up early to avoid a storm that was soon coming. Luckily, it was clear on the day of the wedding! Thanks for helping us make it perfect!
We only rented mirror tiles from Aay's to sit on our guest tables, so our experience with them was pretty basic. I was happy, though, because it was easy and affordable. They're professional and very good at explaining what to do and when to pick up/bring back the items. Their linen prices seemed steep, but we ended up paying more through our caterer's rental company, so Aay's isn't the highest priced. I would recommend them for ease of use and the ability to rent the few things you can't or don't want to buy.
