We had the pleasure of working with Damian and Michelle the day of our wedding. Both were very professional, friendly, and prompt. They made us feel comfortable on what could have been a stressful day. They are both very easy to work with and listened to what we wanted to do for our photos and video. We were nervous to have a videographer because we have been to weddings in the past and have had the video camera shoved in our faces! We knew that would make people feel uncomfrotable, so we were not sure about video at first. However, I didn't even know Damian was there. He was able to capture all the highlights of our wedding day without being intrusive. Michelle was quick and had our family and bridal party pictures done in no time! She was great with the children we had in our wedding, also. Everyone commented on how convenient it was to be able to get pictures out of the way so they could enjoy the rest of the evening.

Rennie & Damian were a pleasure to work with for our October 29, 2011 wedding. Rennie came to my house on time and was very professional. She posed all of us beautifully and the proofs I just received really show it. She was kind to my whole family and complimented us on how we looked. Damian was a fabulous videographer. Our photographer was Michelle. I can honestly say from the first minute I met her I loved her! She is extremly personable and made everyone feel completly at ease. Abacus Wedding Studios was extremely attentive to all my requests and concerns. There are many photographers out there with specific packages that are “locked in” and will not budge to take or add in certain things. The day I talked to Alex about packages and pricing, I felt so relieved. He emailed me back with price quotes with all the additional things I needed: parent albums, thank you cards, proofs, edited album etc. I cannot say enough about how Alex broke down all the prices, and made me feel comfortable knowing I was getting everything we wanted at the price we could afford. Michele was our photographer for both our engagement session and our wedding on September 17. WOW she is a sweetheart, she becomes your best friend instantly! She understood how stressed I was at certain times and always knew a way to relax me and make me smile. She held bouquets, helped fix my dress, held my train …picked crickets/ants off my dress..hehe...basically did everything/anything to make me feel like she had my back during the wedding chaos. She also is great with allowing you to provide suggestions. Anytime I asked for some type of picture or pose, she was ready to take it. I love love love her, even my family kept repeating how much of a sweetheart she was! I have not seen the pictures yet, but throughout the entire night Michele would show me a few here and there. I cannot wait to see the proofs and make our wedding album. Michele definitely takes photojournalistic shots, and tries to be as creative as you want, she’s awesome! Damian was our videographer and he was also great. He was there the entire night but you never felt he was too up in your business. There were a couple of times throughout the night he made me laugh. Damian and Michele were awesome! Abacus Wedding Studios…….you were awesome for your friendliness, pricing and quality of photographers/videographers….your a 5 star package!!

Abacus Photography exceeded my expectations! They were amazing to work with! Being in the military, we were in Florida at the time we chose them and I really wanted to meet the photographers, so I decided to make a trip up to Jersey & meet them personally! I got to sit down and chat with Alex and Damian and then get to meet Rennie! All three of them were so nice and had such sweet hearts! Rennie was my personal photographer for our wedding day and she was so flexible and willing to do anything I had desired for our day. She took a million shots of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen and the party together and of my husband and I. When we got to the ceremony part and the reception, she was snapping away and for most of the time, we didn't even know she was there! Rennie was beyond phenomenal and such an amazing woman! We used Abacus for our June 2011 wedding. Michelle was our photographer and Damian was our videographer. They were both so easy and fun to work with. Michelle even stepped in and helped my mother tie my corset because we were having problems. They both made the often dreaded time snapping photos a really wonderful experience. Both the photography and videography services from Abacus were excellent and exceeded all of our expectations. They worked within our budget to create a comprehensive wedding package that included all of the elements that we wanted and much more. The photographer and videographer that we worked with specifically could not have been a better fit in terms of our personalities, styles & preferences. Not only were they beyond talented and professional, they were also hilarious, fun and helpful. The photos were absolutely beautiful and the video was incredible and perfectly captured our day. The two people that serviced my wedding were amazing. I have been to so many wedding where the photographer is in your face almost obnoxious like. Damien the videographer was everywhere we were catching all the great moments but I didn't even know he was there...that is the great part! I don't know how they moved that fast to keep up with us. I have not seen my pictures yet but for being such a large wedding one thing I would say is Michelle was very caring of my needs and making sure she helped me with my dress, going down steps...if I was cold she took care of me. Only complaint I have is that I filled out the sheet of all the pictures that we wanted to have pictures taken with certain people and I don't think that happened...maybe better coordination with announcements needing to be made with the dj to find the bridal party could have happened. Having almost 250 people in a wedding and trying to find everyone in the bridal party in the middle of a wedding is near impossible...so I think all the pictures we wanted were not taken..but so much happened that night I could be wrong. We will see when they come back. Proffessionalism they were off the charts!!

This is a great company to to go to for photography. The staff is courteous and very attentive to their customers' needs.

We strongly recommend Abacus Photography/Videography. The first person we spoke with and made a contract with which included our packages for the photography/videography was Alex. He was very patient in describing all the details of each package and made recommendations of what we can add or subtract to match our needs. We even received a discount because they were referred by my brother-in-law. Our photographer, Michelle, was incredible. She took the most creative pictures we could think of with different style lighting and lense. There were multipe shots in case anyone closed their eyes and our proof cd had roughly 1,800 pictures! She demonstrated incredible professionalism and took the time and effort to make sure everything was right in the picture frame - veil, hair, fluffed dress, bouquet, tux, etc. We were amazed when we received the photos. Damien, the videographer, was wonderful! He had a great sense of humor and went out of his way to make sure our day was captured to the very last detail. He showed professionalism and humor and made sure to catch every important part of our wedding so that we can cherish the moments forever.

We would like to express it is wonderful to know, that your photographer is living your moment with you. Mitchele was always open to ideas. upon which she applied her skill to better them. A lot of imagination she gave to the moments and was a delight to be with. Very prompt and started right, by taking our request, which I personally wanted her to have some personal fun, she is the professional. You never knew she was there. You can’t go wrong with Abacus! From the moment you walk in the office you feel right at home. I like many brides had no idea where to start when looking for a videographer and photographer. I wasted many hours driving to appointments for other video and photo vendors that were too expensive, poor quality, and well let’s face it boring! Abacus has a fantastic staff. We were lucky enough to have Michelle and Damian work for our wedding on Friday, July 16th and we could not be happier. They were very friendly, hardworking, and “REAL”. Michelle and Damian were both excellent! Michelle came to my house in the morning while I was getting ready, and she even pitched in to do things like fix the bows on my dress and help with the bustle. :) They were both so organized, responsive, and got all the pictures/footage I wanted. They're also both really friendly and nice, which may not seem like an important quality in a photographer/videographer, but it's nice to be around pleasant people on your wedding day. Highly recommended! :)

The photographer showed up on time, did not get in our face or pressure us to do anything, and was responsive to last minute shots I wanted taken. She was also very good at organizing the shots and telling people exactly where they needed to stand in a quick, effective manner.

My photos and video came out beautifully! I can't wait to see the edited video, but loved that I got my DVD of the raw footage and all the pics so soon after the honeymoon! They create custom packages, so I got exactly what I wanted and didn't have to pay for some huge portrait that I didn't want! They did a great job!

Make sure to tell your photographer/videographer exactly what poses are the most important to you and any special shots that are not the usual part of the wedding ceremony or reception. Also, tell them that you need time to meet and greet your guests, and to eat and drink on that very busy and hectic day before being rushed for photos.

I can't say enough good things about Abacus Wedding Studios. The entire staff went above and beyond to help me have my dream wedding photography experience. Abacus Wedding Studios was fantastic for my wedding. They have a photojournalistic approach which means that they are taking pictures of you the entire day and you do not even realize they are there. You are not tied into those stuffy photos where you have "pose here and pose there" if that is not what you are looking for. And the staff is really nice and always accommodating. We used Abacus Studios to do our wedding video. We loved working with them because they were extremely friendly and responsive. We were working on a budget and they were able to meet our needs without sacrificing the things we really wanted. Our videographer was an amazing guy. When they say they are there for the ENTIRE day, they mean it. We received our videos incredibly quickly, about 5 weeks after the wedding. Not only did we get 4 beautifully edited copies, but they also sent us the raw footage. My favorite part is the highlight video at the end. I sent them honeymoon pictures and they threw those in for free. We are extremely pleased! Damien was amazing. My husband and I met with him before the wedding and we both liked him right away! The day of the wedding, we barely noticed him! I was actually worried about what our video was going to be like, because I didn't recall seeing him half the night. Our video was gorgeous. Abacus Studios and Michelle were wonderful to work with. Michelle called the week of the wedding to make sure she had all the info correct and just to talk about things, and she showed up a little earlier that we had discussed. Throughout the wedding, she was totally unobtrusive and I forgot she was there half the night. However, she got amazing pictures from the reception and ceremony! Our formal pictures are beautiful, too. She got so many creative shots, and she was just a pleasure to work with the day of the wedding and made us feel so relaxed.

Excellent photography- if you're looking for good pictures that will last you a lifetime then abacus wedding will really live up to it. On the day of our weekend, the skies cleared enough for us to have the ceremony outdoors but the cold--and wind!--remained. Luckily, Michele-our photographer from Abacus Wedding Studios--worked quickly and efficiently with us and our family members together for post-ceremony photos outside. She did a wonderful job, and we felt so at ease with her. She also captured the best moments of our big day, and even the unscripted moments--like spontaneity on the dance floor.

We'd highly recommend Abacus for future brides and grooms, who are looking for the whole package in a photography studio. Thank you, Alex and Abacus!

I have had absolutely no problems with Abacus. They were wonderful every step of the way. They filmed my wedding in HD at a great price. The photographer and videographer were friendly and very receptive of photos that my groom and I wanted. They were perfect!

Abacus Wedding Studios were great. We first booked with Celebration Studios, and when they went out of business after paying them in full way back in July 2007, we had to start my search all over again. We contacted Alex in February and he was very helpful. He gave us a great deal and he was very very understanding of our unfortunate situation. The wedding the day was great. Everyone was very attentive and working really really hard even though it was about 100 degrees outside. But that didn't seem to stop anyone. I got my proofs 1 week after we came back from the honeymoon, they were great. Overall, we are very satisfied with their services. We are very excited to watch our wedding video when it's finished.

Everyone at Abacus is wonderful! Our proofs were back so fast we were barely back from our honeymoon and we could see the pictures. Our photographer (Roger) was the best I had ever seen. He took his time with me and my family and was so much fun. Damion took such time and effort with the video and you barely even knew he was there, he didn't get in the way while people were trying to dance and caught the best moments! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who asks!

The service provided by Abacus was excellent. They were very organized. Our videographer was on time and didn't a phenomenal job.

Hello- Just wanted to note that my photographer was great and so nice- and same for the video guy! The only thing I wanted and didn't get was my wedding ceremony put into my montage that I thought was agreed upon in our first meeting. Other than that I thought everything went smooth and can't wait to see my pictures.

-The absolute best value we found anywhere
-Photographer took A LOT of pictures, which was nice, and we got the digital proofs back very quickly (I'm talking about 2 WEEKS turnaround!) and you are given complete rights to print from the proofs- not like those photographers that just upload the pics to a website where you HAVE to buy from them and they are only available for a certain time frame
-The photographer was very friendly; I didn't mind having her follow us around. Many guests commented that she was not intrusive at all.
-We had planned to take pictures outside the church and at a park, however, it ended up pouring on our wedding day- the photographer was still able to take very nice pics-in the hotel lobby!
-There were quite a few pics that were blurry pictures however, (but we had over 700 proofs, so some bad ones are to be expected I suppose) and I wish she looked at detail a little more (like my dress was wrinkled and messed up some of the formal pictures). My only real complaint is sort of a strange complaint-Abacus has you fill out a list of "must have" photos- she stuck to our list too much! She didn't try to be creative and stray from the list unless we asked, when we asked she was more than willing however.
-Over all I would defintely recommend them, just be as specific as possible on the must have photo list!

I would have given a 5.0 but I just could not, please read on. When I got married I thought I was the luckiest bride. Everything was going wonderful. The photography was done by Michelle which was excellent and the Videography was done by Damian which was also excellent. We all had a wonderful time. They really truly were amazing. I would recommend them over and over again. Within the first few months my video has arrived. I would like to consider myself a patient person due to my special education teaching profession. It has been a year since I am married and I still have not received my albums. I have been speaking to the person who edits them for over 6 months and all I got was frustration. The person I am working with is Gabriel Georgeian. Honestly, I am not one to complain but enough is enough. I should have saved the money and made it myself. When I asked to receive the money back I was told that it will not be a possibility. So for now still frustrated and still album-less. I have to add that I have seen the album and it looks great, so the work is well done.

Most of our photos had bad resolution and are not able to be enlarged past a 4X6, this is very upsetting and I am unable to use most of my pictures, even though there were almost 800 of them. The photographer was very nice and professional though, but the quality of the prints is not there. Videographer damian, was funny and I really didnt even notice he was there most of the night (which was good!)

I have mixed review about this company because they were very good on our wedding day and provided great service but our issues came after the wedding. At some point we were told that our wedding video would take 16 weeks, which I thought I was long enough but when it came down to it, we got our video after about 22 weeks. I think that was my biggest pet peeve because we had family constantly asking us when our video would be here and we kept having to tell them soon. We honestly felt like our video wasn't being worked on until the last 3 weeks before we got the video. For the price we paid, I expected a way better service. Every time the time got extended I felt like saying "If I owed you guys money you would want to see it within in 16 week time frame that I told you."

The quality of the video itself was decent. I like the cover that the DVD comes in but I would like to have a different menu selection as the background that the menu selection is on is very hard to see because its White on green/yellow. Its also very hard to see the selection star that shows you what you are selecting because its green on green. Another downside is that our wedding DVDs is on 2 DVDs so when watching the movie, we have to switch DVDs mid way.

Would I recommend this company to someone else? I cant say I had a HORRIBLE experience with them but I definitely saw my friends that had a better experience.

In response to the comment back from the company all our paperwork was submitted 3 weeks before the wedding along with all our photos. We didnt hear any additional requests until February 10th when we were asked for an additional song. We sent the song the same day but they required an MP3 format so we sent it in that format the next day, February 11th. Other than that, no addition requests have been made. I took a star away for Professionalism because trying to imply that we didnt submit our paperwork on time is unprofessional and insulting when we worked hard to make sure everything was done on time and conveniently layed out for the company.

The company has responded to us regarding our complaints and we are currently working with someone to correct the issues that we found in the video.

We've been lucky enough to work with ABACUS many times. It's amazing to watch them make everyone in the bridal party so relexed that their pictures turn out flawless. We are hoping to get some pictures from them from weddins we've done to upload to our web site and in store video presentation. And, the nicest people in the world!
