ABM Wedding Photography

My husband and I met Brian Kent (owner) at the Bridal Bazaar last January. We looked at at least 20 photographers websites and for the price his was just as artistic and creative as the $8000 photographers. After our first meeting with Brian we knew he would be an awesome fit for our wedding. My husband and I hate taking pictures, so Brian made sure he would use a more photo journalistic style which he prefers. He really listed to us and what we wanted for our engagement photos and wedding day. We bought the $2900 package that included our engagement photos, photo guest book, all day wedding photography, $1000 credit toward our wedding album, 4x6 prints of the majority of the wedding photos he took & all of our photos on a CD as well. The package was well worth the money and our engagement/wedding day photos came out exactly how we hoped they would. Brian & his assistant were so professional that we barely even noticed them as they took photos candidly throughout the day. In addition, Brian is such a nice guy and his main goal is to make sure his clients are happy. He's our photographer for life now.

My husband and I spent weeks searching for the perfect photographer for our August wedding at the Prado. After meeting with Brian at ABM Wedding Photography, we immediately canceled all of our interviews with other photographers and never looked back. We felt that Brian suited our style of wedding and artistic tastes. Brian was fun and professional. He had lots of great ideas for shots throughout the night, used our ideas, and went above and beyond my expectations. We recently got our shots online and have spent hours and hours oohhhing and ahhhing over the amazing shots he took. It has been great reliving our wedding day through his pictures.

I would recommend Brian to anyone. My entire family has been so pleased with his work.

My husband and I hired ABM wedding photography for our wedding last summer. Brian was our photographer and he was absolutely amazing! He is by the far the most friendly, talented, easy going photographers out there. After he did our engagement photos, we knew we had nothing to worry about! He made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day, not to mention our guest complimented on how well he worked with everyone.

He is genuinely one of nicest people we have ever worked with. We would recommend Brian to anyone looking for amazing photography and literally meeting one of the nicest guys to work with!

My wife was just deployed and I was given the glorious job of reviewing the vendors from our September wedding. After coming across the first post I'm actually now very happy to have to do this, so I could clear some things up with regards to ABM Wedding Photography.

We had Brian Kent of ABM Wedding Photography take our wedding photos and we are blown away by how great the photos are. I'm an amateur photographer myself, so I have some idea about photography. I looked at maybe 100 different websites, before we choose ABM and I have to say they completely exceeded my expectations. Also, he was so nice to all of our guests, and everyone enjoyed his presence at our wedding.

First off, the postcards are small and have instructions and a password for the viewing of the photos. And just like the other post said, he discussed this beforehand. We had the option to not have them passed out at all, do it ourselves or have Brian do it. We gladly choose Brian to do it because this saves us a huge amount of time since we had over 350 people at our wedding and we do not know everyone's phone number. Some of my older relatives do not have email, so a mass email would not work for us. The "shameful business tactics" saved us tons of hours and a big headache.

Something just doesn't sound right with that first post. I also think she is not telling the whole story. Based on our experience with ABM Wedding Photography, Brian was never anything but very courteous and professional.

We think Brian Kent is one of the best photographers in San Diego. We have had many friends get married in San Diego, and after my wife's friends saw our photos, they all agree that our wedding photos stand out as being the best.

My wife and I also highly recommend Brian Kent & ABM Wedding Photography.

We would like to thank Brian and his assistant at ABM wedding photography for doing such an awesome, professional, and perfect job at our wedding. You guys were so much fun and easy to work with that there is no doubt that all of our guests will remember and recommend ABM based on the work they saw at our wedding. You two were extremely polite and it as if you were part of the family. We really appreciate all that you did for us. Each time we look at our pictures we appreciate the talent you both have.

I am completely and utterly disappointed about the rude/naive comment about Brian at ABM wedding photography!

My husband and I were the luckiest couple to have had a friend recommend ABM wedding photography to us. I cant even begin to tell you what a "blessing in the sky" they were to us! For a couple that does not like to get their pictures taken- Brian not only made it fun for us; but was easy going and listened to everything we wanted.

I never in a million years thought that I would like getting my pictures taken; but thanks to Brian, I now LOVE getting my pictures taken. I have never felt so comfortable and confident in my life. I have Brian to thank for that and let me tell you... it definitely shows in my wedding photos! They are AMAZING! :-)

He captured the most beautiful, touching moments of our wedding. I can look at my album and relive my day any time I want!

I completely disagree with the negative post previously written about Brian Kent who was my wedding photographer for my August wedding of this year.

I really appreciate good photography and I'm quite picky so my now husband and I were just thrilled when we found Brian. I had honestly researched almost every single photographer in the San Diego area and interviewed either in person or by phone the majority of them and Brian was by far and away the most polite, most friendly, most professional, easy going, flexible and talented one of them all.

With regard to the "flyer", it was a small post card that Brian asked me and my husband if we wanted him to use it and it was months before the wedding and we jumped at the chance, knowing it would save us a lot of time and energy repeating the directions for viewing pictures to each guest. In addition, he not only asked us if we wanted them to be passed out, but he also explained when he would pass them out and it was during dinner because that's when everyone is present. He also checked with us and confirmed again just before the wedding to make sure we wanted it and we again agreed.

We were so happy we did because all of our guests who by the way came in from literally all over the country and from different countries, commented on what a great idea it was to pass those out and really appreciated it. Especially because they could take it back with them in their travels and remember what to do instead of writing it on a piece of paper and losing it.

I can't stress enough how incredible Brian really is, not only for his work because our pictures are mind blowingly beautiful, but also because he is just the nicest guy! Even my family all commented on "what a nice and friendly guy the photographer was".

Something seems incorrect with the acusation of Brian calling and harrassing someone. Firstly, because anyone who meets him just knows he wouldn't even have it in him but secondly, why would anyone even with just a hint of common sense call and harrass someone with the capability of blasting them on the internet?

Not only would me and my husband recommend Brian Kent to everyone and anyone getting married, but all of our family and friends who have shared his company at the wedding and seen his work would do the same.

ABM PHOTOGRAPHY -BRIAN KENT is TACKY and RUDE!
I was at a wedding last August and ABM Photography was working it.... when dinner barely started and people were enjoying their meal, the photographer (Brian Kent) was going around each table passing out 5x7 FLYERS of his business to EACH person at the table. The guests looked confused and didn't know what these flyers were for, since no explanation was given (AT LEAST AT MY TABLE).

I thought that was the TACKIEST move ever by a vendor.

So I got up and POLITELY mentioned to him that perhaps this is not the best time to promote your business by passing out flyers when guests are enjoying their dinner. I suggested to him that guests were a little taken back by his actions... BRIAN gave me MAJOR attitude, he didn't let me finish what I was saying and then he said that the reason he was passing out these flyers so people can go to his website to view/purchase images.
He did NOT mention this to guests.... the flyer was this HUGE thing with promo stuff on it.

To make matters worse. When bride and groom came up to me to say their hellos to me, the photographer was right there NOT taking pictures when he was supposed to.
After dinner, minding my business I was sitting down with a friend chatting, the photographer - BRIAN comes up to me and says "IS THIS YOUR FLYER?" I told him "YES". He was like "I"M GOING TO TAKE IT BACK, I DO NOT WANT YOU GOING ON THE WEBSITE". He took the flyer, turned around and left.

I WAS SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE NEVER WITNESSED THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR BY A PROFESSIONAL; especially at a WEDDING.

P.S. Guests complained about receiving these flyers during dinner, it wasn't just me!

P.S.S. The photographer then somehow found my phone number on the internet somewhere and started harassing me - questioning me - asking me to take down my review from other sites. Therefore, I'm reposing this.

I stand firmly by what I said; there are many talented wedding photographers in San Diego, Brian Kent is NOT one of them.
His business tactics are a shame!

I would have to disagree with this post. I just got married August 2009 and I had Brian Kent as my photographer and thought he did a fantastic job. He did pass out flyers at the wedding so the guest could go onto his website and look at my wedding photos. However, this was discussed beforehand so if you thought this was tacky, you need to talk to the bride because she had to give him the ok to do so.

Also, all my guest at the wedding had nothing but good things to say about Brian Kent. They thought he knew what he was doing and was very friendly, which I felt the same.

It also sounds like you are not telling the whole story. If you were a guest at the wedding, how would he get your phone number to harass you? Brian was so polite and very professional & I just find this hard to believe. I would highly recommend Brian Kent & ABM Photography, I love my pictures!!!!!
