Absolutely Perfect Catering

Absolutely Perfect Catering definitely lives up to its name! We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding turned out. Kim was a joy to work with and was there for me every step of the way. At times, she would even answer questions I asked about things she wasn't even responsible for! After talking and emailing her for a year it felt more like a friendship than just wedding planning! The entire staff was awesome. They were friendly and courteous, our guests couldn't say enough nice things about them. Steven was especially helpful. We LOVED him! He was there for us, our friends, and our family for the entire event. Anytime you even thought about needing or wanting something, Steven was there to get it for you. He was amazing. Nicole was the event manager for the day and her work speaks for itself. Everything was perfect and ran smoothly. Nicole made sure we had everything before we left, and we were even assisted in getting our gifts, and extra belongings out of the venue. They thought of everything! In fact, someone even thought to put our marriage license in with our things, which we otherwise wuld have left there. It was a wonderful experience and we would recommend them for any event.

Leslye from Absolutely Perfect Catering was so easy to work with. The day went perfectly thanks to her and her staff. We got so many compliments about the food, it was delicious! Absolutely Perfect are true professionals, they made it so easy to plan the perfect day! Thank you Leslye and team!

The food was incredible, the staff was extremely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. People actually started arriving at the venue 30 minutes before the reception was scheduled to start, and Absolutely Perfect already had everything ready to go, and started serving food and drinks immediately.

I was very pleased with Absolutely Perfect and their catering. They appointed a young lady named Sarah to be my coordinator. We spoke multiple times over email and she was extremely helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, my guests told me they had never had such good food at a wedding, the filet was perfectly cooked and juicy and the crab cakes were to die for. One of my guests managed to walk around and get his hands on three more crab cakes from guests that did not eat shellfish! (That's how good they were.) Throughout the wedding, Sarah was there to help me. She wasn't hired as a wedding planner, but she sure acted like she was. She made sure everything was set up and ready, she worked with the DJ to make last second changes to the timeline to make things run more smoothly, and she brought food and wine out to the groom and me as we had our pictures taken during cocktail hour. She had a smile on her face the entire time and she was wonderful to work with. I will be recommending this caterer to anyone I know ever catering an event. On a day fraught with problems from the weather, and the venue (see my other reviews), Sarah treated us like we were special and the most important people at that moment in time. Thank you!

Absolutely Perfect Catering was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! From the first time we met, Leslye was able to come up with creative ideas that would set our wedding apart from the rest. She was always coming up with something new and had so so many options! Guests raved about the taste of the food, the quality of the food even the presentation of the food! Leslye was great to work with and was VERY attentive in regards to answering emails and at the reception itself. Staff was constantly making sure my husband and I were taken care of. I simply cannot say enough good things about Leslye and her amazing company and staff. We will definitely be using them for any future catered events that we host and HIGHLY recommend them to brides and grooms!

From the first time we met with the team at Absolutely Perfect, we knew we were in good hands. Our catering manager, Kimberly, took care of our every need. She kept in regular contact with me via email and phone, and was always there to answer every question/request I had throughout the process. She was available, positive, helpful, flexible, and full of ideas. She bore with me as I changed my mind about menu choices, flip-flopped about linens, and fretted about our time line. She advised me on important details that I would have otherwise overlooked. The day of the wedding, she was there to patch up any mishaps. When the tables arrangement was out of order, she promptly rearranged it. When we were taking pictures, she brought the wedding party drinks and snacks. When we ran out of vodka partway through the night, she went out and purchased more. The AP team made our wedding day perfect. I will recommend them to anyone in the Baltimore area.

Leslye and her staff were amazing!! I had a very tight budget and she was able to provide a menu that fit my budget, style of the reception, and was delicious. I live in Texas and my wedding took place in Maryland and Leslye was very supportive even from hundreds of miles away. She had no problem letting my bridesmaids do my tasting for me was always available to talk if I had questions. The day of was stress free because she assinged a personal waiter to myself and my husband, Stephen, who was fantastic!! He even bustled my dress!! My husband, Stanley and I, were over the moon about the superb customer service provided and would use this company anytime. My wedding guest are still talking about how great the food was and how beautiful the decor was. We had perfect wedding and Absolutely Perfect made that possible. Thank you so much Leslye, I could not of asked for a better caterer.

I stared my relationship with this company in early 2010, when I was on my hunt for a cater for our wedding planned for October 2011. At this time my mom was also starting to get very sick with ovarian cancer. I wasn’t great about returning calls but they continued calling me and had a genuine interest in helping me with my big day. Since they follow up with me so often, I thought they deserved a chance—and I was right! My experience with this cater was beyond words. Before making our deposit with them, they had an open house, more like a fun party. There we met vendors and tried a bunch of different foods, cocktails, and desserts! We had a great time, and then knew their food would be great too---so we made our deposit. As the date approached, my mom’s health drastically declined. We had to move my wedding up so that she could see it. Sarah, work with me to find another venue and in every way possible to make this day perfect. She helped me find a new date that worked all around, she helped us to pick the perfect menu which met our budget, style and with very yummy food. They even made a special Trini dish to represent my husband’s culture! Sarah helped coordinate the entire day so even though pictures took longer than expected the night went off without a hitch!


The food was very good, the bartenders were great, and Steve, who waited on the wedding party, made my wedding awesome for me, he assured I always had a drink…even some water :)


In the end my wedding was better than I ever imagined-thanks to the help of Absolutely Perfect! I would recommend this company to anybody planning an event, they were absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely Perfect Catering - especially Leslye and Lindsey - were professional and helped us with every detail of the ceremony and reception. We planned our entire wedding from out of state and after one meeting with Leslye, she knew exactly what we wanted and made sure it all worked perfectly. The food was amazing and there was never a line for the bars. Our reception was perfect or if there were any problems, Leslye and her staff made sure we never heard about it. Leslye worked our event and her personal touches made our ceremony and reception at the American Visionary Art Museum even better than we expected.

I truly cannot say enough kind words about Absolutely Perfect and the job they did, not just on the day of our wedding, but in the planning process leading up to it. The food was delicious and Leslye made us feel confident and comfortable that we were in the right hands throughout our work with the company. Leslye and Lindsey were extremely flexible with menu choices and easy to communicate with. In addition to helping with food selection, Leslye was available and amazingly helpful when dealing with our rental company (our venue required us to work with a specific company) -- Leslye made sure we had exactly what we needed, and was able to cut down the cost where possible, which was very much appreciated.

On the day of the wedding, I received compliments all night long, not just about the quality of the food (which I was told was the best wedding food ever from a bunch of picky New Yorkers), but also with regard to the kindness and friendliness of the staff! Everyone truly felt like they were being taken care of. When the ceremony was finished, the staff was waiting with glasses of ice water for our guests, and Leslye and the event manager brought samplings of the hors d'oeuvres and water to my husband and I while we took pictures -- they were extremely thoughtful and left no detail hanging. (My husband even told me Leslye brought a bowl of berries to my mother at the end of the evening because she had been watching her and noticed she was so busy that she had not eaten much throughout the night -- small details like this truly made Absolutely Perfect so amazing, aside from their delicious food!)

From the appetizers (not eating more butternut squash empanadas is my ONE regret from the entire wedding) to the cake -- everything was delicious and perfect! Now I just hope I get to work with them again soon!

Wonderful! From customer service to quality of food. From the beginning to the end it was great working with them and I've received many compliments from my guests on the food quality. There is nothing negative I would say...Definitely recommend them!

APC and Michelle were wonderful. Michelle went above and beyond in practically every way. For example, the day before the wedding, our venue lost power. Michelle spent the whole day coming up with a back up plan and calling the venue for updates so that I didn't have to. If that's not professionalism and service I don't know what is! We had a REALLY tight time schedule for set up and tear down, and her team did it perfectly. She even brought out trays of drinks/snacks to the wedding party as we took photos while everyone was enjoying cocktail hour! Impeccable, really. The food was amazing, and everyone we talked to said it was their most enjoyable wedding food to date. She worked with us to make sure it was exactly to our taste, and the set up was beautiful and exactly matched the rest of our decor and the vibe we were going for. And the price was very, very right on. Honestly, we've recommend APC and Michelle to everyone we know, and my husband and I will never use another caterer. We were 110% satisfied, and our guests were too!

Absolutely Perfect Catering catered my outdoor wedding for 250 people on May 31, 2008. The service they provided was top notch. From beginning to end, they were so easy to work with and so professional. They responded to any question I had immediately and were so helpful with the planning. I had absolutely no worries on the day of my wedding, I knew everything was taken care of by them - my wedding was perfect. I would reccommend them 100%!

Michele Goldberg from Absolutely Perfect was just wonderful. She was incredibly responsive to all of our requests, and everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be. The only thing I would critique about them is that Michele Goldberg did not actually attend our event, as it was assumed that she was, and some things that she knew about our event didn't get passed on to the day-of coordinator who was there. Aside from that, the food was great and the service was outstanding. I was told by several people that they would use Absolutely Perfect for future events.

The food was great!!! They did a great job setting up for the reception to include setting up my candy bar and all of the food tables looked nice.

Michelle G was fantastic! Helped to keep us on schedule and also accepted any changes that we wanted. She was easy to get ahold of and very personable! Their prices were fantastic and so was the food! Would definitely use them again!

I would recommend this vendor to anyone!!! Michele was amazing and thought of everything. We got an amazing deal and got more than we asked for. Everything was beautiful and the staff was wonderful! I was sooooo happy with everything. They even sent us home with the extra food (they said we had paid for it anyway so why not?). We ended up getting our cake through them more out of convenience than because we heard they made great cakes but oh my god it was perfect. Better than I could have dreamed AND it tasted great! I highly recommend splurging for the ice cream bar too:) These guys also can do fancier receptions/events and have access to beautiful dishes, tablecloths, and a million other accessories. I can't go on enough about how wonderful they were!

The menu APC put together for our December 2009 wedding was delicious, and budget-friendly. We had several vegetarians and allergies to take into consideration, and we ended up with a menu that pleased everyone at our reception. Working with Michele was amazing - she thought of all the things I would have completely overlooked, and our reception was one of the prettiest I have ever seen. This company was wonderful to work with, both during the planning process and during our wedding. Kimberly was very easy to reach during the planning stages, very detail oriented, and had great suggestions on catering and other wedding topics. The staff during the wedding was wonderful, and the food was delicious. We hadn't realized beforehand how expensive catering can be, but Absolutely Perfect went out of their way to help us keep costs down. The only suggestion I would make would be to donate leftover food to a local food pantry. Thank you for a wonderful wedding!!

Absolutely Perfect Catering truly lives up to it's name! I worked with Kimberly who was very accommodating, even with our dietary restrictions of creating a completely VEGAN wedding reception. Kimberly and the Absolutely Perfect staff made my wedding everything I dreamed it could be and took loads of pressure off myself and my new husband!!

There was a wide variety of choices for the menu for our daughter's wedding, and each and everything we tasted was very good. Although that made it harder to choose! It wasn't "set in stone" and they made suggestions; working with us to compile a menu that best reflected the type of reception she wanted. When we had questions or concerns, we received a response promptly which we found to be important to help relieve some of the wedding planning stress. The day of the wedding I didn't have to worry. Our coordinator did a great job and the wedding ran smoothly. She and her staff worked very hard to be sure that every detail of our daughter's wishes for her wedding day were just as she had envisioned it would be. Thank you!

Absolutely Perfect truly lives up to their name. Although we had torrential downpours, the reception was indeed...Absolutely fantastic!!! The staff could not have been more professional, the food simply incredible and the decor just what we wanted.

The staff was a pleasure to work with from our first phone call to the last goodnight. They are true professionals in every sense. We would TOTALLY recommend them to anyone planning a wedding without a doubt!!!

Our coordinator, Michele Goldberg, was FABULOUS - I highly recommend asking for her if you go with this caterer. She was professional, listened well, and came up with lots of great ideas. As organized as I was, she still managed to think of things that I hadn't so we could formulate a plan for them. This is not just a caterer - they also rent tables, linens, table settings - you want it, they can get it. They also did our wedding cupcakes, which were delicious. You don't just get a caterer when you hire these guys - you get an event planner. Michele was familiar with the space we were using and very helpful in designing a table scheme, etc. Not only did we get great service, but the food was FANTASTIC! The presentation of the food is what sold us on this provider - they have elaborate, beautiful ways of presenting the food, and our guests loved it.

Absolutely Perfect Catering did an amazing job for our wedding. They were incredibly flexible, the staff was rediculously friendly and professional, and the food was delicious. They set up the entire reception perfectly, and the entire night we received comments about how incredible everything looked.

We are so grateful that we chose Absolutely Perfect Catering for our reception. They were able to work with our budget and match it with what turned out to be an amazing day. We highly recommend them for any event, especially a wedding.

We worked with Michele Goldberg and she did an awesome job. She was incredibly responsive to every e-mail or phone call. We made several changes including providing some of the beverages ourselves and she kindly provided us with recommendations for amounts to purchase. She helped coordinate with our photographer and DJ with the flow for the evening and helped everything run smoothly. She was basically our planner without the title. Everyone liked the food. My only comment for improvement would be that I really wanted some of the appetizers and some were brought down while we were having photos taken but since my husband and I were in all the photos we didn't get any. We also did get a to-go container but it only had the dinner in it. I would definitely use them again for any event. All of the servers and bartenders were great.

Absolutely Perfect Catering provided full-service help for my daughter's wedding at Historic Oakland. They handled everything from the tent rental to the cake. I was actually able to enjoy all of the wedding, reception, dinner and dancing because Absolutely Perfect Catering handled all the details and coordinated everything so well. The meal was delicious, they prepared a yummy, multi-flavored gluten-free cake and the service was excellent with friendly staff members. I would highly recommend Absolutely Perfect Catering for your event.

Our daughter just had her wedding in Baltimore, and Absolutely Perfect definitely lived up to its name. The entire staff, especially Sarah Lynch, were not only professional and responsive, but they made us feel as though we were having a party in our own home instead of a wedding at a museum venue. In addition to serving the wedding guests, they even assigned a waiter just for the wedding party so they could be served while they were having pictures taken before the reception. The service throughout the event was top notch (my wine glass was never empty), and we all hugged at the end of the evening. Also, they were true to their price estimates and there were no surprises. You can't go wrong here. (Be sure to request Sarah for your coordinator. Her smile is awesome!)

Absolutely Perfect Caterings name says it all. Everything was perfect the day of our wedding. Leslye is a perfectionist and only wants to put on a great event for you. When meeting with Leslye you can get carried away (I did!) and you feel bad making changes to the menu or linens afterwards because she spent so much time with you. I was very nervous going into the wedding (what bride isn't) but I didn't need to be at all. Everything was put out just like I had envisioned and Leslye was there to fluff my dress before I walked down the aisle. I think one of the best things that they provide is a personal server for the the bride and groom - our server was the best guy ever! He kept everyone laughing during the photo hour and always seemed to have what we needed before we knew we needed it. My guests are talking about how great dinner was but what they are really talking about is the cake. The cake was amazing! If you are a chocolate lover go with the chocolate and chocolate cake. I would recommend Absolutely Perfect to anyone who wants to have the best wedding and not have to worry about anything the day of!

Absolutely Perfect did a great job catering my wedding. Like most brides, this was my first time planning a big event like this and Michele was wonderful. They were very flexible when it came to working with my budget and the food and cake were amazing. It's always great to have your guests tell you how much they loved the food.

We LOVED Michelle Goldberg! She was AMAZING!! We planned our wedding from across the other side of the country and Absolutely Perfect catering worked with us every step of the way. We were able to meet with Michelle every time that we were in town. She was not only our caterer, but also our wedding coordinator! It was two in one shopping and our day would NOT have run as smoothly without her help! The food was amazing, not just in our opinion. Our guests had many a compliment about the food and the food displays. We told Michelle to go crazy with the decorations around the food and she did! This was great as it was that much less decorating that we had to do and we weren't charged extra for it. Michelle came highly recommended, and I would back up that feedback any day! We would for sure hire her again.

These folks were great to deal with. When all my other quotes were through the roof based on what we needed, Absolutely Perfect came through. And we had alot of modifcations not typical of a normal event. They worked with us every step of the way and did a fantastic job. They were also very flexible in putting together a menu and removing and adding different options. Everyone loved the food. The staff was very friendly and I will definitely be calling Absolutely Perfect again for my next event!!

If we had our wedding to do over again, we would definitely choose to work with Absolutely Perfect Catering! We had a great time working with Leslye and her team, who are professional, creative, organized, and highly responsive. We had a lot of fairly clear ideas going in about what we wanted in terms of food and decor, and Leslye took our vision and made it a reality. She really listened to what we said we wanted, took all of our ideas seriously, and gave us all the possible options and her honest opinions on the best way forward. All the while, she made helpful suggestions to help keep our decisions budget friendly (relatively speaking). We met with several other caterers, but none of them seemed to "get" what we were going for like Absolutely Perfect did. Leslye also welcomed the support of our wedding coordinator, Jenny form jpb designs, and they seemed to work well together as a team.

After the ceremony while we were having our pictures taken, Leslye personally came in and delivered us a platter of hor d'ourves, which I will be eternally grateful to her for doing because I was starving and they were delicious! In addition, when we got close to running out of wine, Absolutely Perfect ran out and bought more at no cost to us. Crisis averted! All the guests said the food was excellent, especially the beef tenderloin, and the reception room looked better than I possibly could have imagined that it would have. We had taste-tested all of Baltimore's specialty cupcake stores' offerings, but decided to go with Absolutely Perfect's cupcakes because they were the best - the icing was light and delicious and the final product was beautiful and artfully arranged. Leslye had us select a combination of small single-flavor cupcukes and larger filled cupcakes (we chose vanilla with tiramisu, chocolate with ganache, and red velvet with peanut butter) and suggested that we make a little cupcake menu to put on the table, which ended up being a really cute touch!

My half stars are not for APC, but for some of the vendors they sub-contracted for us. While it was a great service to have APC coordinate transportation, audio equipment rental, and lighting, if I were doing this all over again, I would probably choose to contract straight with vendors myself. The only small problems during the wedding came from the transportation and audio companies. And while the lighting was really beautiful, I think it would have been easier to work out the details directly with the lighting company rather than communicate through a "middle man." All that said, APC offered to arrange these services, which took a lot of stress off of us during the planning process. And, in the end, the wedding was perfect despite these little issues!

Two words - Hurricane Irene! The staff at Absolutely Perfect deserve special honorable mention for making my event a complete success, despite the awful weather handed us by Irene. Kimberly, and the wait staff never missed a beat. They kept my guests (the ones who did not chicken out because of the storm) comfortable with plenty of butlered hors douvres and Lisa, the bartender, was so warm and friendly. They even helped out by taking some pics with the disposable cameras we left on the tables for the guests to use, but since so many did not show, the staff helped us out! The food was decadent and presented so beautifully. The guests could not stop talking about how good everything tasted. I am definitely going to use Absolutely Perfect for other events I plan. Kimberly was a GODSEND! I could not have done it without her!

We chose APC because they were so great with the event logistics. We didn't feel like we needed a wedding planner/DOC because they acted as the point of contact for other vendors and made the whole event run seamlessly. When our initial event manager left, the owner, Leslie, took over our account and was very easy to work with. When we sat down for a tasting and planning session they were very detailed, planning for rain, and were great at managing our parents input and keeping us on track. Also, we are lesbian couple and they are gay friendly and have done gay weddings before. Guests said the food was fantastic and especially LOVED the passed appetizers. The chefs took on all of our ideas without any hesitation and executed a really yummy meal.

They were great with flexibility and allowed us to make our own menu. After the fact they were pretty well priced. Any cheaper and I would be concerned about the quality of food. The only unprofessional thing was we were juggled around a bit between coordinators as our original coordinator quit, but we ended up loving our final coordinator, Robin. Their cake was awesome too!

The food was great. We had a good experience. Our wedding had 250 guests. We had the Italian buffet appetizer table and passed appetizers.... guests said they left the reception full......

Absolutely Perfect Catering made our event absolutely perfect! The staff showed up earlier than expected and immediately began set up our bar and venue. The staff was very attentive and offered to provide help regardless of their role in the wedding. The staff were the utmost professional, courteous, and attentive. The staff catered to the bride and groom as if we were William and Kate. As with most weddings, a line formed when the bar first opened. Without asking, the staff assisted older guests by getting their drinks for them so that they could remain at their tables. We had provided the alcohol and had run out of one of the choices and the manager, Leslye, immediately stepped in to come to our aide and get us what we needed. That was incredible and so appreciated! Everyone in attendance found the hors d'oeuvres and buffet extraordinarily delicious. The menu to choose from was expansive, in fact, I think you truly could have chosen to have what ever you wanted :) The cake was exactly what we had ordered and tasted great. The event itself was truly perfect and a 5.0.

The slightly lower overall rating was due to our feeling that the planning was a little rocky with our point of contact being switched, mis-information provided due to switching contacts and our sense in working with the sales staff that they were not as approachable and friendly as in our initial meeting with them.

We got a lot of great compliments on the food, especially the beef and the crab cake slider appetizer. Also, our cake was PERFECT!! We had asked for a Smith Island cake and they said no problem. It was beautiful and delicious! A future bride actually asked me where we got our cake. My only complaint per se would be that it was a little pricey, like $4 per person for coffee service regardless of how many people ordered coffee. But, the servers were all nice and everything went smooth.

Overall our experience with Absolutely Perfect was good, however there were some minor issues toward the end of the process, which was surprising given how confident in them we felt when we chose them.

Throughout most of the planning process and up until about 2 months before the wedding, our consultant was Michelle. She was great to work with - she was responsive to our questions and very professional throughout the process. About 2 months before our wedding date, our account was taken over by Leslye, who was not bad but was a little more "rough around the edges" in her customer service skills than Michelle.

The food was very good - both at our tasting and at the reception. We were also very impressed by their creative displays and menu choices. They were among the most expensive (although not the #1 most expensive) caterers we considered, but the food and display was a heck of a lot better than all the others.

What caught us a little bit off guard was their inability to provide any sort of flexibility. For example, my father wanted to create 2 ice sculptures for the reception as a surprise. He asked Absolutely Perfect if he could store it at their premises prior to the event and have them transport it to the event. Their answer: no. They wanted nothing to do with it. The venue connected my dad with another caterer on their list, who was catering another event on the premises, and that caterer did agree to store and transport the sculptures to the venue, EVEN THOUGH WE WEREN'T EVEN THEIR CLIENT. Admittedly, this was an above-and-beyond type of request; but I found it a little disappointing that they weren't able to accomodate us after spending so much money on them, while their less-expensive competitor was willing to even though we weren't a client of theirs.

Also, we used carved pumpkins as centerpieces for the tables. Absolutely Perfect would not dispose of them at the end of the evening; my parents had to collect them. And a candy display we requested was not set up when we arrived (after 6pm), nor were there any napkins on the tables.

To make a long story short, Absolutely Perfect did a greaet job with the food preparation, and made the reception look beautiful. However, they could have been more accommodating to us and our parents.

PS - they do also have a very reasonably-priced liquor policy.

Beware--will surprise you with hidden fees at the last minute! food is pretty good, service is...not so good. manager is completely rude and they didn't offer any kind of discount when we were unsatisfied with the service. i would not recommend...you can get a much better meal for a lower price (and probably better service!) with another catering company.

We do not have great things to say about our at home wedding with this caterer. It took many drafts to get our final menu correct even though it was spelled out in a document and sent to them. We were offered helping hands with delivering of alcohol and desserts to the reception site only to have it recinded. Beware of hidden fees and the unfortunate experience of locking in your head count over a year and a half in advance and then having the per head price increased if it turns out to be lower. The food was not the same portion sizes as we had at the tasting even though we were told it would be. Then the steak was terribly undercooked at the reception. Dinner took twice as long as was expected due to the slow service. The staff was nice enough, the linens we used through them were beautiful and the appetizers, especially the Italian Market display, were very good. Overall, this vendor was overpriced and we would not recommend them.

We booked with Absolutely Perfect Catering roughly a year and a half in advance of our wedding. We signed the contract, paid the deposit, and made an early installment payment which was part of the payment schedule established by APC. After the deposit was made, my finance and I decided to cancel the large wedding and plan a smaller event. (The pressure of a large wedding became more about everyone else and less about us! I'm sure a few brides out there can relate!)

The contract we signed with APC was for roughly 11k, with a deposit of $500 due in December, a $2,000 payment in February, a $3,000 payment in July, a $3,000 payment in February, and the remaining balance of roughly $3,000 was due seven days prior to the event. (All deposits are non-refundable. You can transfer your deposit to another event of equal or greater value if your event is cancelled - within a year time frame. I do not believe that tip for service is included in the payment and can be added towards the last payment. Your total cost for the event is subject to increase if you add or delete the total number of guests in your contract.)

After cancelling the larger event, we asked APC to consider allowing us to use our $2,500 deposit towards a smaller event. Due to the contract, we were unable to do this and lost our money.

I understand that we signed the contract stating the terms and conditions, but it was our hope that APC would be flexible and utilize our $2,500 towards something smaller, more relaxed.

I would understand the policy if we cancelled a few months in advance. Our year notice on the cancellation allowed for APC to more than likely rebook our date without a loss of revenue or product - or book a smaller event with us in order to still make a profit.

My advice to anyone looking for a catering company...understand what you really want for your wedding and make sure that you think of every possible scenario when reading the terms and conditions.
