Reviews for After Hours Formal Wear
We rented the men’s tuxes from After Hours Formalwear at Dulles Town Center in Leesburg. We had the groom, three groomsmen, a ring bearer, and both the bride and groom’s fathers as well as the bride’s brother. This was a total of 8 tuxes. I believe the groom’s tux was free. Everyone got pants, jacket, shoes, a vest and tie. The groom wore white; the groomsmen, ring bearer, and bride’s brother wore red, and the fathers wore a champagne vest and tie. Only three of the tuxes were local but I was able to call in the out-of-town measurements. The boys picked up their tuxes the day before the wedding and returned them the day after. I believe the final cost was somewhere between $60-75 per person and the groom’s was free I think. Clothing was of fine quality. The shoes were not comfortable, the groom complained his toes were squished in the front.
With the Guys it was pretty cut and dry. The went to the location, were fitted, picked up their tuxedos and returned the day after the ceremony with no problem. Wish our experience, as women, was that simple. After Hours' service was prompt and precise, and met our expectations.
The tuxedos are stocked by name brands which may account for the somewhat pricey cost of rental. Once my husband tried one of these baby's, that all fades into oblivion. You look spectacular. Fitting attire for almost any formal occasion. I knew the tux was nice when my husband called and was actually excited about the selection.
Horrible. They were rude and the service was terrible. Then-- you get to the clothes and something was wrong with that. My husband is too nice at times, so I guess he put up with it, but when the Tux’s came back after the alterations, that was the straw that broke the camels back. I don’t know how, but it got worse. Pants way to long and shirts with buttons missing. This place is the pits. Luckily he was able to find another place that was more competent in the formal wear business.
Not at all impressed with their service. We were told whenever we signed up at David's Bridal (where I bought my dress, bridesmaids dresses, etc) that the groom's tux would be free, and then when we went to get all of the guys sized, etc. they tried to tell us that we had to have more than six groomsmen and that the father of the bride, father of the groom, ringbearers, anyone other than groomsmen didn't count toward those six. We weren't even told that there was a minimum number and it wasn't on any of their paper work either.
They were great because they worked with the colors from David's Bridal so all the girls and the guys were matched perfectly and it was very convient because they could get measured at any after hours.
