I can't even begin to express how wonderful it was to work with Sarah from Afterglow Photos. We had met with a few other photographers before happening upon Sarah, but we felt nowhere near as comfortable with them as we did with her. She has an air about her that just relaxes you and makes you feel like everything is under control. The minute she pulled out her sample albums full of many different styles of photography, and showed us her unbelievable wedding packages, we knew she was perfect! She went above and beyond in every way. Every date she said things would be ready by was met, if not met early. She was exceptional at listening and translating what we were saying into how we envisioned our day/photography. Although I didn't need to contact her often over our year of planning, anytime I left her a voicemail or emailed with a question, she responded within 24 hours. She was great about making sure we were on schedule, also, with our engagement shoots, etc. Furthermore, she knew every in-and-out of weddings and could predict exactly what needed to be done, the timing we needed, and anything I might need during the day. She wasn't just a photographer - she was a friend and helping hand! The entire day went without a hitch because of her. She brought with her a fantastic second photographer and, between the two of them, captured every detail - even some we didn't know about! If I needed her for a photo op at any moment, it felt like she was right around the corner. Her photography is beautiful, and we are so looking forward to having her photograph our future family!

Sarah and Peter were dream photographers for our wedding day. The were prepared, professional, unobtrusive, and extremely talented. I have recommended them to anyone who will listen and have received tons of compliments on their beautiful work. The pictures were so wonderful that they were featured in Manhattan Bride Magazine!

Afterglow Photos were absolutely wonderful to work with. Both Sarah and Peter are very talented photographers and lovely individuals. They were very easy to work with and professional. I loved getting "sneak-peak" pictures soon after the wedding, seeing the Afterglow Blog featuring our wedding and they even uploaded photos a few days after the wedding on Facebook.
Overall, I would 100% recommend Afterglow to future brides.

Sarah and Peter are the best wedding photography team! I witnessed their work at my best friend's wedding and I was impressed with their professionalism, kindness, and most importantly -- non intrusive behavior. I hate when photographers stand right in the view of guests especially during the ceremony. Not with Afterglow Photos! They personalize and cater their service to your specific needs and what you want to get out of your wedding photography. I will definitely go back to them for the photo shoot of our first baby :)

Of all the many vendors that we worked with to prepare our wedding day, we must say that Afterglow was the BEST!! Photography was very important to us, being that it was going to provide us with our memories, and since the first day that I contacted Afterglow I received nothing but the best in terms of professionalism. There was constant communication leading up to the day of our wedding, so come our big day we felt 100% comfortable with our photographers and let them do their thang!!! The quality of photos that we received a FEW DAYS AFTER our wedding was amazing. The photos were just as we imagined ... if not better. Now months after our wedding, as we choose our Thank You cards and begin to work on our albums, we are still receiving quick and informative responses to all of our questions. I can not say enough good things about Afterglow Photos! Most importantly, I absolutely loved the photos that were captured on our day. Not only was the end product exactly what we were hoping for, but we had so much fun with our photographers on the day of. They made us feel completely at ease, which is why we believe our photos came out so well. You can tell that we were relaxed and enjoying ourselves. Also, after shopping around, they are definitely a great value! I would 100% recommend!

I used Afterglow Photos for my wedding in May 2008 and have absolutely nothing but the highest praise for them! Sarah was so wonderful to work with, very flexible and helpful in guiding me to what would look best. The day of the wedding Sarah and her assistant photographer were a dream! They caught every shot, both formal & casual, without being intrusive. Our pictures came out amazing and the wedding album came out better than I could have ever imagined. I told them I wanted to catch people just having a good time and not knowing they were being photographed and they did just that. I would highly recommend Afterglow Photos to anyone looking for amazing pictures and amazing people to work with.

Afterglow Photos was a dream come true for my wedding. The minute that I saw Sarah's work I knew i no longer had to search for a photographer for my wedding. When I met Sarah she was very flexible meeting me at my house. Through to the wedding day she kept me organized and grounded and reasurred me that she had everything covered for pictures the day of the wedding. For the wedding day, I felt like she was a friend there, and you didn't know where her and her staff where taking such memorable pictures that only Afterglow Photos could capture.
From our wedding day, we have kept in touch and when I had my daughter, for her 6 month photoshoot she captured such precious memories for our family that we will cherish for a lifetime. I have nothing but great things to say about Afterglow Photos and I am looking forward to future photoshoots.

Sarah was a joy to work with during our wedding planning and on the actual day. She was extremely calm when things got a little "stressful" with the planning, and flawlessly managed the many different personalities within the families in order to create a harmonious environment. Sarah's background, and her favs ::
Sarah always had a love for NYC, and spent many years there working and living. Her favorite borough is Brooklyn (with a special shout out to Carroll Gardens and Park Slope)!!!
She grew up dancing and singing and had dreams of being on broadway as a girl. These days she wishes she could be young again and audition for "So You Think You Can Dance" - ha!
Sarah used to play soccer and run track during grade school, until a knee injury sidelined her...so now she looks forward to watching her daughter or son try these one day!
She has always been a fan of thin crust pizza, sushi, thai food, red wine, chocolate, toffee, caramel, and ice cream - yum!
Sarah is addicted to chapstick and coffee!
She started photographing anything and everyone when she was a kid. She has her Dad and her Aunt Sonny to thank for this wonderful hobby that became a career. :)
Sarah loves antiques, and all things girly -- like manis/pedis, and a great lipstick! These are acquired tastes that her Mom shared with her at a young age.
She loves dolphins and horses, and she hopes to have a beach house where flipper can swim right up to our dock, and a country home with a ranch where the horses can roam all day. A girl can dream, right!?
Sarah met and fell in love with an adventurous college boy when she was 19, and knew he was the one shortly after. They have been together as friends ever since, and today they are happily married and loving life in the 'burbs. They try to visit their alma matter any chance they can get - LET'S GO STATE!
She is a Mama to two beautiful kiddos and one furry pup. They are all characters and keep her on her toes and giggling with glee, when they aren't driving her crazy. They have taught her the true meaning of patience. They are her inspirations and little loves, and they teach her to keep dreaming and to bring out her inner child every day!
Peter's background, and his favs ::
From an early age, photography always fascinated Peter. Picking up a camera and realizing how just simply looking through the lens changed the world, he realized that this was the path his life would take.
He grew up with a love for Corvettes and Sci-fi movies. Seriously though, how could you not?!
Peter has always been a lover of the water, especially the ocean and spending days at the beach with his family and friends. His goal is to get a sail boat so he can teach his kids how to sail one day!
He looks forward to days off spent biking or hiking, just being outdoors with the fresh air does wonders for the soul!
Peter has been into this wood working thing for a while now, and completing household projects or new additions on his home that he can be proud of. His beachy cape is nice and open and inviting!
Those who know him well, know that he loves to cook. He enjoys sharing great food and wine with those important to him. There's nothing better than time with family and friends.
Peter is energetic and a true creative at heart. His ideas and vision inspire those who work with him (says Sarah).
He realized some time ago that shooting weddings is the greatest job in the world!! Where else can you go to work and spend your day surrounded by so much love, happiness, and fantastic energy?!

He truly believes that if you aren't enjoying yourself, and you can't feel the love on a wedding day then you can't capture it. Shooting a wedding isn't for the weak at heart, if you can't dig it then find another job! He feels the love, and is honored to capture your most important day!
Peter is a Daddy to three beautiful kids, between the ages of 0 - 4. Life is busy and happy, and thankfully his rock and foundation lives under the same roof and goes by the name Kristine. He is lucky to have an amazing wife and family to come home to.
