Akasu Salon

I can't say enough about the girls at Akasu. They are awsome all the way around. I found them by accident and plan to continue using them in the future. The space is very cozy and relaxing. You can have your nails, makeup, hair, message and waxing done all in one place. We had our nails done the day before and then our hair and makeup the day of. They are very professional and know what to do for every situation. And they are they nicest people you will ever meet. But they do book up fast so I suggest that you make your appointment well in advance.

We had bridal henna done prior to the wedding. The bride, bridesmaids and mother-of-the-groom all had it done together. They had a really comfortable room for us to sit and chat in while the henna artist did her thing. It was a really calm time for everyone to come together as people arrived into town. She listened to our feedback on the types of designs. For example, I wanted something more Indian/Pakistani and did not want any hearts anywhere. She stuck to authentic designs and it was very stricking on my hands and feet at the wedding. It was also a beautiful memory during the honeymoon, as the henna slowly faded away.
