Al was a very easy person to communicate with. He was professional and did everything to make the reception run smoothly and keep everyone dancing. He followed our music recommendations perfectly and we were very pleased with the outcome.

DJ Al was a dream come true! He was the very first vendor I contacted when we got engaged! Another DJ company referred him because I was looking for a great Latino DJ! He has so much experience, and it shows!! His professionalism and knowledge of the business just blew us away! Anytime we had questions or just wanted to chat about music, timeline, etc. we could call or email him and he would meet us at a local Starbucks or Panera at any time that worked for us! We had 3 or 4 meetings, and just knowing he would be there on our big day set my mind SO at ease! He let us give him a list of "must plays" and "do not plays," and that made us really excited to go through all our favorites and make a play list. Wedding Day: From the moment we were announced in, I felt the energy in the room, and Al never missed a beat. He had our dance floor full from the moment he let me grab the microphone to get my guests on their feet till the "Last Dance!" Over a month has passed since our wedding and we STILL have friends and family members talking and raving about how amazing our music was! Al, we can't thank you enough for providing truly professional service, and amazing music that had us dancing all night - which is EXACTLY what we wanted!! We adore you!!! <3

Al is a great dj! I have worked with a lot of DJs in the Sarasota area and for my wedding I worked with Al for the first time! I would highly recommend him to other brides. DJ Garcia was fantastic! I was worried for nothing! I told him the types of music my fiance and I's family were interested in (which were two completely different types) Hispanic and country. He couldnt have done better and everyone was on there feet all night! Everyone from both families complimented the music played all night and still to this day. He came to check in with us every so often to make sure the music was good and to let us know before any announcments. He even told us to let him know to turn up or down the music.

All I can say is wow! Al Garcia will definitely be getting a call back from me for another event. He went above and beyond with our wedding music. I'm very finicky about music and only like to listen to certain kinds. I'm not really much of a mainstream music type of person and neither is my husband. I sent him a list of mine and my husbands favorite songs. He didn't play a couple, he played almost all of them! He kept everyone up and dancing. He even had my grandma on the floor for a while. He really created a special atmosphere for us and we had so much fun! I HIGHLY recommend Al Garcia for your wedding.

Al was amazing. The music was great and he stuck to the "mood" I was going for. There was never a dull moment and everyone was dancing constantly. It's hard planning a destination wedding when you can't be hands on with all of your vendors, but Al was quick in reply to my emails and I felt at ease with our planning process.

Great night. the dance floor was never empty. There was only one song that was requested by the bride and her sister that he didn't have. Very flexible in that we changed the order of the evening. Really loved the lights he brought. Added a great effect to the dance floor.

All I can say is, if you are planning a function, book Al. He was fantastic! He knew just what to play and had the dance floor full all night.

HIRE NOW! DJ Al was professional and a great DJ for our wedding. We had diverse guests and he new what to play to make everyone happy we played every song we asked him to even though we had only communicated over email due to us being overseas. Once we met Al we knew we had made the right choice not only is he an awesome and professional DJ but he is a genuine good person too. Al was amazing. He played at our wedding in May and really put on a show. My wife put me incharge of booking a DJ, and boy did I look good after! During the planning process, he was always responsive and really put us at ease about the music. He played the right song at the right time, all night. Aside from handling the DJ portion, he gave us tips on the actual planning of the reception. He was in contact with us the entire time. Friends and family haven't stopped talking about his music and about how much fun they had dancing. Al Garica is a professional DJ who truly loves what he does...and it shows. Al did a great job for us. We only had a rough outline of what we wanted in terms of music and presentation, and Al gave us a number of options. He was very good about giving us his opinion, while making sure we knew the final decision was ours to make. I could tell from our very first discussion that Al was a professional and I wouldn't have to worry about anything (which was very important). Al is clearly comfortable on the microphone, but never over the top. He made sure the reception was about us. We gave him the names of a few artists we wanted to hear (Frank Sinatra, Van Morrison, Jack Johnson), and he used those selections to create the atmosphere we were looking for. Later in the evening, he also got people out on the dance floor, which was great. We'd recommend Al to anyone getting married in the Sarasota area.

I hired Al through Jay Goodley Productions. Jay acts as a liason between the musicians and you. Jay coordinated with Al to make sure he was available, gave me Al's e-mail, and sent me a sheet to fill in with the details of what type of music I wanted, the details of my reception, our first dance song, timing, and any other special music we wanted (or didn't want) at the reception. We could even request a specific attire (I.e., formal, tie, informal, etc). I e-mailed my info sheet to Al so there was no confusion on what music we wanted played and what we expected from Al. Al showed up on time, had all of the equipment (including multicolor dance lighting) and played all of the songs that I requested. I gave Al specific songs to play and types of music and artists we like and Al filled in the gap. He was very professional and did a great job. Thanks Al!

Awesome! Played everything we asked and avoided everything we asked him not to play! He did a fabulous job of reading our guests. Everyone was shocked at how many people were on the dance floor and STAYED on the dance floor. Fifteen minutes before he was suppose to end, we asked him to stay an extra half hour longer because the everyone was still dancing! Al did a GREAT job!

Al did a great job at our wedding reception! He had a challenge ahead of him with us because we threw a surprise wedding on our friends and family. We did nearly nothing traditional so we needed someone to be creative along with us. Al was that guy! He did a great job getting people up dancing and having a good time. He really kept the party going until the very end. When we first hired Al, he asked us for a brief song list to tell him the type of music we liked (and the music we hoped we'd never hear again!). With that information he mixed a great song list throughout the night. (He was like the "genius" button on my iPod!) We could not have asked for a better DJ. DJ Al drove all the way from Bradenton to the Brandon area to meet with me to discuss my wedding music. He was very nice and answered all my questions. We communicated via e-mail several times and he always responded very promptly. He even provided me with a list of music and made suggestions. On the wedding day, he dressed appropriately and played the music we wanted. The only problem was that at the end of the night, Dj Al surprised us with an overtime charge and told my groomsman that he started early, which was a complete surprise to all of us since we started everything on time. At first I refused to pay, but DJ Al insisted and because it was my wedding day and we had to leave our venue, we decided to just pay it. I really don't feel like this charge should have applied to us since we started on time and if that didn't happen, I would have given Dj Al 4.5 stars.

Al was amazing!!!! Everyone, and I mean everyone, was on the dance floor the whole night!!! He kept the party going smoothly and was 100% what we were looking for in a DJ! The ceremony was great and our guests were able to hear everyone involved in the ceremony. After the most amazing sunset ever, all the guests poured into a beautiful reception hall that was perfectly lit with mood lighting that Al provided to accent the flowers and décor and make the room the most beautiful it ever looked. The music was more than music throughout the night; it was more like a soundtrack that beautifully represented the evening. He was great behind the microphone but maintained us as the center of attention. If dancing is a priority for your wedding reception - book DJ Al. He kept all of our guests on the dance floor, playing the perfect mix of Cuban and American music, as we'd requested. He knows how to keep a party going! In addition to that he's a consummate professional and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with the father-of-the-bride dance song. It turns out the song I had my heart set on exists only on a cassette tape from the early 1980s... DJ Al made a special trip to meet us for a cassette exchange so that he could make a digital copy of it, and even gave us a cd of it so we'd have it. We can't say enough good things about him. He did such an amazing job and we were thrilled with the result. He gave us great advice on timing and logistics as well. We're based in DC and planned our wedding from afar, but had no worries about DC Al coming through. He knows his stuff and is a really, really nice guy to boot. Book him for your party, you won't be disappointed!

DJ Al was really a great vendor at our June 2011 wedding. Al was very flexible with me during our meetings and emails, and he really "got" the feel of the music perfectly at all parts of the reception. The dance floor was packed the whole evening even though we only had 100 guests at the reception. Al also had a neat uplighting package that really transformed the outdoor courtyard to an upscale and modern reception. He also showed up to the event looking professional and kept in contact with me (the bride) and the day-of coordinator to make sure the timeline was perfect and each event was happening with the proper people at the ideal moment. Furthermore, AL made a huge effort to pronounce all of the names correctly. I couldn't imagine a better wedding DJ. Pick AL!

We had a small beach wedding and we decided to hire DJ Al so he could kind of play some background type music. Our thinking was that because it was such a small group of friends and family there probably wouldn't be much dancing.

We were wrong, not only did he get Everybody up & dancing, but nobody wanted it to end, it was fantastic. Al played some really good oldies along with some of the more current songs, and everyone was on the dance floor.

All of our guests kept saying how wonderful the music at our wedding was and how nice it all turned out. We were very pleased with his services and we would recommend him to our friends and family.

We were very impressed with DJ Al when we met and had several meetings with him to plan exactly what we wanted regarding music at our reception. We planned specific songs for special events and then were shocked when the wrong songs were played and we were given no notice of events happening. Our photographers and videographer had a difficult time due to his lack of communication during the reception. The groom was not even in the room when a planned event was begun by DJ Al. We were so confident going into the night about his services and then very surprised and disappointed by what occurred. It felt as if he brought a different bride's file for the reception. Wish we could be leaving a better comment, but would have a very hard time recommending him to future bride and groom.

Al Garcia was absolutely wonderful. He was punctual, professional, and knew exactly what variety of music to play to have all my guests dancing away. The best thing I can say is that there was no need to worry or direct Al at all because he was already one step ahead, which is a great relief on your wedding day. Thanks AL!

Al was great! Planning a Destination Wedding is a little complicated but when it came to our DJ, Al made things extremely easy. He was open to our suggestions and originality when it came to the music for our ceremony, introduction and reception. He knew exactly what equipment to use for a beach wedding and his timing was perfect. They say that the music makes the reception and our dance floor was packed all night long. Al was just slightly more expensive than other DJs we interviewed but you get what you pay for. And when it came to the music, we wanted to be sure our DJ was a true professional whom we trusted and who'd add life to the party. He was great! He really catered to the crowd. I like the current music but most people did not dance to it. Al seemed to catch that quickly and play more oldies, which was fine because more people danced and enjoyed themselves. On your wedding day that is all you want, is for people to enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Having DJ Al Garcia at my event truly makes me wish I could just come up excuses to have event after event. Al was so great!!!! Everyone was talking about how great the music was at our wedding, everyone was up dancing and he listened/responded to every request we had pre-wedding....even when we made last minute song changes. We couldn't have been happier!
