I made a big mistake for the wedding. We originally booked our Wedding Cake to come from Porto's Bakery in Los Angeles, CA but realized we went over on our budget with the cake. So we cancelled the order. When the wedding day rolled around we had no wedding cake! (Although, we did order a ton of desserts from the caterer: red velvet cup cakes, tiramisu, chocolate truffles, carrot cake, etc and they were all bite sized and all so good) My mom ran to our nearby Albertson's and asked the bakery clerk to put white icing on three different sized chocolate cakes. The cost came up to about 30 bucks! My aunt bought stands at Party City for it and embezzled the cake with fresh white daisies (our flower). It looked gorgeous and because the cake was just made that morning it was so moist and delicious. While it was quite stressful to put something together like that at the very last minute, it turned out cheap and tasted great! Oh and we had no problems with customer service, you can always expect great customer service from Albertson's.
