I got my dress here. Ordered in January and received today, Oct.5. An error was detected when the gown arrived on Sept 1 but was 6 INCHES TOO SHORT. Standing there seeing my two feet was horrific. Calls were made to Melissa Sweet in New York and the dress was re-done. A month later, I am even more nervous and anxious. I hope this second fitting will be flawless because if not, I will lose trust in this salon and everyone else who was involved in creating and processing this dress.

I picked out a Melissa Sweet french lace gown called "Fern."

This is where I ordered my dress and I love it! This is unlike Bridal Galleria, where you can't even see what they have. Here, all the dresses are hanging beautifully in the small boutique. They carry many of the top designers like Mellissa Sweet, Romona Keveza, Amy Michelson, and more. It is just a really fun experience to try on dresses here.

update: AND my dress came in ONE month early!!!

I LOVE Alexandra. It doesn't have the largest selection, but I still found more dresses there that I loved than anywhere else. The other theing I loved was that there was no sales pressure. My consultant (Hannah) encouraged me to go to several other salons and to see what was out there. And she also encouraged me to come back and "visit" my dress anytime I wanted. And if that wasn't fantastic enough, she gave me the trunk show discount, even though the trunk show was a month away! I love this salon.

Alexandra Bridal Salon carries two of my favorite designer wedding gowns: Melissa Sweet and Priscilla. The salon frequently have top designer sample sales and trunk shows, but I think they just had a sample sales few weeks ago, so call ahead of time to find out when they will have another sample sale.
