Alexis Photography & Video

I chose Alexis photography for my wedding photos/video based on the recommendation of a friend. I met Moe at a Starbucks, he claimed to be trying to save me more of a drive since his studio was in Safety Harbor and I was in Tampa but now Im lead to believe it’s because his studio was closing. He was very courteous and professional and I felt confident he would do an amazing job. I paid Moe roughly 2800.00 to retain his service that was 1.5 years ago and to date; I have not received my prints, albums or DVDs. I have contacted Moe every week for about the last 7 months, his studio is boarded up and the phone # is disconnected, his cell mail box is usually full and no one has every responded to any of the 27 correspondents I’ve sent. There are so many photographers in Tampa, get someone else. I have been married 18 months and just joined this site today solely to warn anyone who may opt for Alexis photography based on its good reviews. After reading them, I see it’s really hit or miss with him but take it from me, being on the “missed” side is a nightmare. Im beyond distraught, he has my memories; I have lost a lot of sleep and energy on this. In addition to the $2800.00 I have spent, I now have to pay an attorney to try and get what I can’t. This really is heartbreaking. If you need further confirmation check out the bay news nine stories on him done 12/10. 7 couples have spent up to 11,000.00 and have not received their finished product. If you look at the reviews online, none are recent. Save yourself some un-necessary grief…DO NOT CHOOSE ALEXIS PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!!!

The photography is great, Moe is very friendly, but don't count on getting your photos any time soon. Extremely slow turn around time.

I put so much time and thought into my wedding. I wanted EVEYTHING to be perfect. And since everyone kept telling me how important a good photographer was, I was determined to find the best. Thanks, to Alexis Photography, I had the most amazing photographer who did everything exactly how I wanted: PERFECTLY!
Moe handled everything so well from our delicate church situation to my Down syndrome sister who does not offer smiles to a camera and the groom who hates posing for pictures! My whole family was so comfortable around him; we felt like we had known him forever. His casual, easy-going yet professional demeanor made it so comfortable to have come into our chaotic house the morning of and capture all the precious moments.
Every image is priceless. I have looked at all of them a hundred times and I don’t think I will ever tire of it. I have had so many compliments on our pictures. He captured every special moment at the perfect time; he seemed to be everywhere at once! My sisters are thankful to me for taking care of their choice of photographer ahead of time for them =)
I would definitely recommend Alexis Photography to every bride who wants to have the PERFECT photographer. Your wedding day is too special to risk having anyone else!

Moe at Alexis photography is simply amazing. He was always professional and my wedding and engagement pictures turned out beautifully. He directed every shot, putting my husband and i at ease. He is a perfectionist and makes sure he gets the perfect shot. Moe is truly an artist and a master at his craft.

Moe (and Stacey) were like angels sent down from above for me. It is overwhelming planning a wedding by yourself and in a new area, but Moe not only provided AMAZING services, but he also took me under his wings and helped me in other areas. Moe and his assistant did an amazing job at our wedding. They got so many great shots and got pictures of EVERYTHING, which I am so grateful for since the night went by so incredible fast :) I absolutely LOVE how the pictures turned out and would definitely recommend Alexis Photography.

My wife and I went with Alexis Photo based on the recommendation of others that had used them. Well let me tell you I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM! Everything was great at first. We meet with Moe and he seemed so nice and professional. We picked out a very expensive package mainly for the photo album that came with it. Moe and a assistant came to the wedding and took plenty of good photos. We got our CD's of the photos within a month after the wedding (thank God). A month or two later we sent Moe a CD back with the pictures we wanted in our album. That was almost 6 months ago. My wife and I have called them time and time again to get a status. We have never gotten a phone call back! The one time I did get a hold of Moe he wasn't sure what the status was and he would call me back (yeah right). I am going to file a complain with the better business bureau and maybe hire a lawyer. DO NOT HIRE ALEXIS PHOTO. They will take your money and you will never get a photo album!

I won a "free" engagement package from Alexis, but to get the actual pictures on your computer or in mail you had to pay them at least $125. This was very deceiving of them. As far as the pictures are concerned, although some of the pictures were really good; most others were mediocre. Our photographer (Stacy) did not really have a creative or an artistic approach to our photoshoot.

***PLEASE NOTE: As of 7/19/10, we have entered into a settlement with Alexis Photography and all of our listed complaints have been satisfactorily resolved.***
I had previously rated Alexis Photo a 5/5, because they were amazing before our wedding and at our wedding. Today, however, I am changing my review to .8/5 because here we are 10 months after our wedding and we still don't have our wedding album or some of our other package items. To make matters worse, the company has now become unresponsive to our calls, emails, and letters. It is such a shame that a company has such poor customer service to not carry through on a signed legal contract. It is heartbreaking that we do not have our wedding album to cherish, which we had already paid a big chunk of money for. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and are deciding what further actions we should take. Hopefully we can save some other couples from enduring the same heartbreak.

STOP SEARCHING NOW FOR A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER!!!! We used Alexis Photography for our wedding and they were nothing short of amazing. Moe was incredible and really made our day seamless and smooth. He was unbelievably professional and really took charge the day of the wedding and made the pictures quick, effortless, and painless. I was worried at first about being able to quickly wrangle up both the bride?s and groom?s families and the wedding party after the ceremony for pictures but have no fear because Moe quickly took charge and made it happen. We LOVED Moe and the pictures turned out phenomenal and we have truly received a ton of compliments from them and many of our friends have used them as well and they have said the same about them. Moe and Alexis Photography really made our day seamless and effortless and in the end, provided an outstanding and quality product, so thank you again for everything!

Our photographers were wonderful - so friendly and quick to make suggestions about what photos would look best. Both of our fathers have joint trouble, and the photographer was quick to make sure their pictures were done first so they could go and enjoy the reception. Our pictures were stunning, and we thought they did a fantastic job. Highly recommended!

TERRIBLE customer relations. it has been 1.5 years from our wedding day and i do not believe we are ever going to get our photo albums. they have been "done" for 3+ months and are "in the process" of being shipped from the distributor. apparently due to the "economy" there has been a delay- which means Moe cannot pay his distributor. Moe also does not return phone calls. The rare times that I get someone on the phone they have no information for us and "will have Moe call us back".
Their attitude completely changed after the big day. They only care about taking your money. I am fortunate that I at least got the pictures on CD-ROM so I have at least seen them, but would prefer to have the photo albums I paid a ton of money for.
I have already spoken to my attorney and we are in the process of filing a breach of contract claim. Stay away from this company, they steal your money.

Moe was fantastic (so was Stacey)!! When we wanted to get up to the party they shot our group pictures in a very timely manner! They were fabulous to work with and I would do so again!

When I initially spoke with Moe about hiring Alexis Photography for our wedding, he was wonderful to work with and very responsive. I was expecting the same service on our wedding day. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. Moe was not the photographer that was sent to our event. The pictures were mediocre at best for we what we paid for our package. We purchased all of the prints and ended up with almost 2000 pictures that were a disappointment. Not sure what to do with all of them. Some of the pictures were completely random and caught our guests in embarassing and, quite honestly, unattractive poses.

The worst part of it all is that almost a year and half later we have still not received our wedding album. The office is terrible about calling us back and the staff seem genuinely disintersted in helping me get some information about the whereabouts of my album. I am competely frustrasted with them and am currently considering hiring an attorney to see what can be done. It is awful and I am very disappointed. I can't believe I am the only person so far that has written anything negative about the company. Quite honestly, I thought they were having financial problems and were going of out business due to the lack of interest or response.

All in all, I would definitely NOT recommend Alexis Photography for your wedding event. There are too many other companies out there to waste your time with this one.

The best photographer ever. I have never worked with nicer, more professional people in my life. I felt like I was their only client. I recommend Alexis over all perfect.

My wedding was a dream come true and working with wonderful people was what made my day so special. I hand picked Alexis photo after meeting with many photographers in the Tampa bay area. Moe was the first to greet me and from there on it it was instant connection. His staff was friendly and knew exactly what I was looking for and was very experienced in my location, the Vinoy. I felt like a celebrity with the camera crew I think there was 3 or 4 photographers following us a round capturing every detail. Till this day people still talk about how great they were. That was just the beginning...after the wedding was over Moe worked with me to get my photo book just right and when it was finished it was hand delivered to me with a stamp of excellence. My photo book is something that no ones will ever compare to. The quality is AMAZING and the pictures make you feel as if your on the dance floor and you can actually taste the cake through the picture! So all in all don't hesitate you will get quality pictures and a friendly staff that knows there weddings!

3 years later I'm using them for my family photo!

My wedding was in July 2007 and it is now 2010 and I still DO NOT HAVE MY WEDDING ALBUM!!! My package was expensive and everything was paid in full prior to the wedding! Moe, the owner, has not returned my phone calls and I still have no wedding album to remember my special day. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

All I can say is good luck if you decide to go with Alexis Photo. The photos came out great but we have yet to see the finished product. This company does not have good customer service or professionalism. They are however, very good at making excuses as to why you haven't received parent and wedding albums after a full year. Again, if you go with this company, don't hold your breath for anything in your contract.

I was absolutely satisfied with the work of our photographers. The pictures turned out fabulous and I have all of the proof photos plus a preview album and the formal wedding album.

Sales gal was professional and acommodating. Met with us for initial appointment after business hours. They worked with us on pricing and deviating from their preset packages.

On wedding day, photog had an assistant, but both were young and not quite as experienced as we expected. I also think photog should have been a little better dressed for a formal wedding. Most pics were great, but we noticed that she she should have turned me to the other side in many photos as one side of my dress had greated detail that the other.
