Mercy at the Meyerland store was great when working with me. She was nice and agreeable but did not dole out false flattery. She was real and that was what I needed when picking out my dress, in the end the dress sells itself... Mercy was kind to just help me in and out of them without making me feel uncomfortable. Thank you for all your help.

Over all, I found Alfred Angelo to be a lot better and have better dresses than other locations. This location the ladies were willing to spend as much time needed to help me find the dress I loved. The only difficulty I had was the day of the wedding. The bustle was not done 100% well and it kept falling while I would dance.

The ladies at Alfred Angelo Meyerland were very helpful & made dress shopping a fun experience! I got my dress here as well as my bridesmaid dresses. I would however NOT recommend getting your alterations done here. They were half the dress price and the lady did a terrible job hemming the length - I kept tripping over the petti coat which wasn't hemmed properly. She also did the bustle on my dress which she sewes buttons on the outside - you could see them and I thought she would have made them less obvious!

I got my dress from the clearance rack. They gave me an additional discount because the zipper was broken so it was a great value for a beautiful gown. The seamstress there is awesome! She made sure that my dress had the perfect fit - it was almost a personal goal of hers! I also got my veil and mother-of-the-bride dress there and everything turned out lovely. Even though it's a chain store, they really give you a personal feeling.

I order my bridesmaid dresses from Alfred Angelo. They were simply beautiful! The colors were perfect Jade/Seafoam. I had 5 bridesmaid 1 matron 1 maid of honor.Their dresses arrived on time as scheduled. Even the one that was order late. There was a $30 additional charge for a rush order. One thing alteration are extra and it take 2-3 weeks.

Three of my bridesmaids used this location and the staff was wonderful. They listened to my request and fulfilled them when they girls came in. Loved the service!

I like my dress and the sales people were pretty nice but it did take a little longer than expected to get my dress (because of IKE).

I had a good experience shopping for my dress at this location: the staff was helpful and it wasn't a high-pressure sales experience like I've had when shopping for bridesmaid's dresses at David's Bridal. I brought in a bunch of print-outs from the Alfred Angelo website of dresses I thought I would like. The saleswoman brought those dresses in for me to try, and she listened carefully as I described what I liked and disliked in each. After I'd tried on about six dresses and wasn't finding what I liked, she excused herself for a second, saying, "I think I have one you should try on." She came back with a beautiful dress I hadn't noticed on the website--it was the perfect combination of all the things I liked in the other dresses, and it was a great fit for my figure. This was the dress I bought for my wedding, and I absolutely loved it and looked great in it. I was thrilled to have such great service and such a fun experience. My mom and I had a blast shopping for my dress, and I'm so grateful to the people at Alfred Angelo for making that happen.Unfortunately, my bridesmaids had a tougher time with buying their dresses here. The sizes are pretty wonky and it takes forever for the dresses to come in, and they're pretty pricey for what you get. They're way flattering and the colors are gorgeous, but if I had to do it again, I think I would have gone with the J Crew Wedding Shop online for the bridesmaids' dresses.

We dealt with three different Alfred Angelo locations. First, Houston, where I first tried on wedding gowns. Since I was having an outdoor wedding in the middle of July, I decided to go with a much lighter bridesmaids dress for my wedding dress instead of the traditional heavier gown. As soon as I decided that, the lady, who had been very attentive up until that point, seemed to not want to help me anymore since I would not be spending as much money there. I decided not to spend any money there and went to another location. I bought my dress, which was originally a bridesmaids dress, just made in white, at the Austin location. The ladies there seemed much more happy to help me than the woman in Houston. The only complaint I have about this location is that when I went to pick up my dress a few months later, one of the associates was a little rude in answering some common questions that I had. We purchased the bridesmaids dresses at a location in San Antonio. The ladies there were great. Three of my bridesmaids had a field day looking for their dresses on their own. My fourth bridesmaid, however, needed a little bit more help and the lady who helped us was wonderful and did her best to make my friend comfortable.

This store was awesome. My BM's and I decided to just go and start looking one day. The staff was very friendly and ready to work with me. The 3rd dress that I picked out, was THE ONE. It just so happened that it was also on sale and I had a discount from the bridal extravaganza that I had just previously gone to.

I was amazed at how fast my dress came in! They were always so helpful when I was in the store or calling over the phone.

I PERSONALLY had a more than wonderful time there, but my bridesmaids all had horrible experiences with this location and ended up going to the Westheimer store for a better selection of dresses. I personally LOVED EVERYONE!!!!

Alfred Angelo is par. The selection for gowns is not all that diverse. If you are going for bridesmaids gowns, there is a far better selection. They are easier to work with in that regard.

My wedding dress was more then I dreamed! I was able to pick a bridesmaid dress I liked and change the color. The customer service was not great and it was hard to get anyone to help you. Make sure you order the dress way in advance because they take 2 months to come in and then if they need alterations they take another 30 business days.

Oh, the Catch 22 of budget wedding apparel! I found my dress at Alfred Angelo very much by surprise one day when I had an hour to kill and was "just looking." It was a discontinued, sold as is dress, it was PERFECT, and it was only $300! SUCH a great deal. The alterations cost almost as much as the dress, but that's another story...so upon purchasing the dress, I was told since I bought my dress from Alfred Angelo, if I chose my bridesmaids dresses from Alfred Angelo, each bridesmaid would get a $25 discount, good any time, and I was told I only had to allow 4-6 weeks to place the bridesmaid dress orders. So about two months before the wedding, we finally decided on the dress and colors, and I sent in my girls to place their orders. Every girls was told something different - that the discount could only be honored at certain times during certain promotions, that it was a $20 discount, not $25, that they should have ordered the dress weeks ago and they would have to now pay a $30 rush fee to ensure the dress got there in time. It was RIDICULOUS! Finally me, the frazzled bride-to-be, got on the phone, and the sales lady got snippy with me and told me this was my fault! She did later apologize and explained that there was alot of miscommunication (or perhaps lack of communication altogether) among stores, store managers and associates, etc, and she had just gotten frustrated. She did in the end honor the $25 discount, eventhough she said it was supposed to be a promotional offer, and we determined the rush order/fee would not be necessary. THEN it turned out several of the colors we had ordered were backed up in the warehouse, and three of the dresses didn't make it in until TWO DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING. THANK GOD I had a friend who was a brilliant seamstress and worked day and night to get the dresses altered in time. Needless to say, it was the worst part of my wedding planning experiences, but apparently not that uncommon for discount wedding apparel. If you're really wanting to get the lower price, be willing to give yourself ALOT of time to account for unexpected crises.

I found the perfect dress for an incredibly reasonable price. The salespeople were very helpful and friendly. They worked with me to help make sure my dress was altered and steamed.
