Alice Hart Couture Millinery

I had been searching on-line for a similar feather fascinator that I had tried on in a store. When I came across Alice Hart Couture Millinery, I knew her collection was the closest to what I was looking for to wear on my wedding day. After contacting Alice, she told me she did custom work as well. After sending her a picture of what I was looking for, she said she would be able to re-create the piece for a much less price. I was ecstatic, but also worried about the time line, for I was getting married in a month! To my pleasant surprise I received my custom feather facsinator in less than a week! I bought a very expensive sash from Alice Hart. She was nice to me over email and easy to work with and when I received the sash it did not look like the photos. It was supposed to mimic the Vera Wang Audrey sash but, what I got was a sort of loosely wound and fluffy tulle sash. i couldn't even see the pearl beads inside of it. It didn't really look like the photos. These poufy tulle flowers were stuck together on top of an ivory grosgrain ribbon. There is no way this sash could ever be worth $175.00. When I mentioned that I couldn't see the beads and that it didn't look like the photos she offered to 'fix' it and said I could ship it back to Canada from where I live in the USA. The shipping back and forth to Canada would have cost me an extra $20 to $30. If something doesn't look like the photo, I think the vendor should pay for shipping and offer a return. Bottom line, this sash is not worth more than a few dollars with its cheap materials and I paid $175.00. For something this expensive, I expected couture quality and the best craftsmanship. I didn't get it. Don't expect your items to look like the photos you see on her website. A beautiful photo does not mean a beautiful item.

I really can't say enough good things about my experience with Alice. Not only was my veil gorgeous and well made, but she provided excellent service throughout the process. I had my veil made in January, and it was done in no time. After sitting in a box on my dresser for 4 months I took it out 2 weeks before my wedding to have a quick peek. Some of the feathers and hairs had not taken too well to me failing to store it properly for that lenght of time, so I gave Alice a call and she had me bring the veil over and she fixed it up as good as new. I'm really happy overall with this experience and my only regret is that there aren't more occasions in my life that require fancy headpieces that I can get from her.

I was so pleased and excited to wear my custom birdcage veil and feather head piece that Alice custom made for me for my January wedding. I asked her for something big! I wanted "Sex in the City" bird on my head fabulous...and she delivered! The veil sat perfectly with the shape of my face and the feather head piece complimented and really made my entire ensemble work! I received so many compliments on my head piece from all my guests. It is the one piece from my wedding I will keep forever...After meeting with her and explaining what I wanted, she was very good at adding in her own expertise and ideas. She captured everything I asked for and the price and delivery time were great. Oh and the beautiful chic box that it came in was a total bonus!Thanks Alice!

Like most brides, when I was ready to marry, the way I wanted to look on my wedding day was paramount. I had picked my dress, and now I wanted just the right accessories. I wanted to look like a bride but something that was a bit more personalized and fashionable rather than traditional. I did research on the internet and came across Alice Hart. Alice Hart’s designs where extremely beautiful. I contacted Alice Hart and was happy to hear that she was willing to work with me on a custom design. We met, and it did not take long to realize I had full confidence in her ability to design the perfect bird cage veil for me. It was exquisite, and completed the great look that I was after. Alice Hart is extremely talented, personable and a joy to work with. In the interim she also designed a couple feather headpieces for me to wear during other events...

I highly recommend Alice Hart and her services to anyone looking for a well-made, unique and stunning veil. I was so impressed by her ability to listen to my needs and vision, and how she took to to the next level. Beautifully made! Nothing in any bridal store came even close. I will always cherish my custom-made couture bird cage veil. Bravo Alice!
