Angelina and her assistant were amazing -- I loved my hair! I had extensions added and you couldn't tell at all. My bridesmaids wanted slightly different messy updos and every one of them looked gorgeous.

I had my hair and makeup done by Vivian herself! First of all she is probably the sweetest person I have ever met, and has the most sunny and cheerful disposition... exactly the kind of person you want to be around you on the happiest day of your life.. your wedding day!

In terms of makeup, I was extremely pleased with the results. My main problem is that I have extremely acne-prone skin and the day she did my makeup I had broken out in multiple areas of my face. After Vivian was done, we could not see a single blemish and my face looked perfectly clear! In addition, she made my eyes look much larger and prominent than before. I have small asian eyes, so when I saw how she opened up the eyes on my face, I was ecstatic.

After reading so many great things on posts and the reviews, I contracted w/Vivian and All Made Up team. Vivian wasn't available for my date so I had Thuy instead. I had some reservations about this, however after my trial they all went away!!
Thuy was amazing! I came into my trial w/a couple of photos and she really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the outcome and I was. A couple days before my wedding, I started having second thoughts about my do. I got online and printed out completely different samples to show Thuy on the day of. I'm so glad I did so and Thuy was more than accommodating to the change and really worked to perfection! I received so many complements on my hair and makeup even from non-guests! She also brought a couple of other stylists from the team who my bms were very happy with.
In addition to my gorgeous coif, Thuy is the professional when it comes to eyebrow design. I didn't know how much of an effect perfect eyebrows can have until Thuy was finished with mine!
The only drawback was probably the last hour of my reception, when one of my eyelashes started to come off, I ended up just pulling both of them and calling it a day.

This review is for Vivian's make-up workshop (May 2009).

Vivian's all-day class was very fun and informative! Highly recommended. She covered how best to contour according to face shapes. She is such a great make-up artist, amazing to watch the transformations!

Her eye make-up techniques are awesome too! Most of her team was there too, so that we got about one MUA for every two workshop attendees.

I use my brush set daily now and spend more time on contouring and eyes.

Vivian completely spoiled us as far as catering too.

The workshop is great for those who have no clue as to how to apply make-up (me!), and semi-pros who just want to refine their skills. :) Pros may find the class more on the basic side.

I wanted to use Vivian for my wedding but she was booked on my day =( I did however attend her makeup workshop. Vivian is so professional and a perfectionist. I found out at the workshop that she obtained a BA for something else but decided to pursue her dreams and went on to graduate again from one of the best makeup schools in Bevery Hill or Hollywood. (I forget which one). She is extremely educated and talented. I can see why she gets booked so far in advance. I learned so much that day and I absolutely fell in love with her and the whole made-up team. They all know how to make you look like a model! Anyway, I hope this review helps. Cheers!

I worked with Vivian and her team at a wedding at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. Her team was very prodessional, very excited to work for the bride, and they did a fantastic job. Vivian works hard in the industry to be the best at what she does, she is very supportive of all the other vendors on site, and she is highly sought after for southern California weddings. Way to go Vivian!

I had a trial done by Angelina because Vivian wasn't available. I feel obliged to write an honest review of my experience because I went through a lot of trouble/money to have a trial with them based on the rave reviews I read on project wedding but my experience was disappointing. I know there are rave reviews of Vivian and I wish I could have had my trial with her in the hopes that it would have been better. Angelina is a very nice person but again my experience with the make up and hair styling was disappointing.

$150 for a trial is not cheap. For that price, I feel like they should apply your make up and style your hair exactly as or very similar to what they would do for your wedding day and experiment with different styles if you are not pleased. I wasn't sure if I wanted my hair up or down so I asked if we could try it both ways but she wasn't very agreeable because it was too troublesome and would take up too much time. She curled my hair very quickly and without much care. Even my fiance noticed she rushed through it and didn't bother to smooth out my hair or make sure all the pieces were curled nicely. In the end, she did show me several styles but not completely. Sort of hold up your hair and this is how it looks sort of thing. I did not like any of the styles at all. As for the make up, she applied the foundation with her fingers. She wasn't gentle and her fingernails were long so her nails dug into my skin a couple of times. She applied false lashes and they didn't match. On one eye, the lashes pointed out, more horizontally, while it was higher up on the other eye. The overall make up was ok, it wasn't bad by any means but honestly it didn't look like me. My fiance wasn't happy with it either and he's generally very easy to please. Normally, after getting make up done and paying that much for it, you would want to go out or something so as not to waste a good make up application but I could not wait to get home to wash it off which I think says a lot.

Vivian was booked for the day of my wedding so she sent her assistant Angelina and two other girls. We were pleased with their services. They were on time and really fun to work with. They listened to you and for the most part all my bridesmaids were happy with the way they looked. They did a great job. Vivian was the person I contacted and she was nothing but sweet and always answered questions when I asked. The turn around time for replies varied from a day to a couple of days but she always replied. I would recommend them-- they came to our hotel room and finished a little bit earlier than scheduled so we were able to relax before our photographers came.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Vivian! I've worked with her on several occasions! She's amazing! She's done my sister's wedding, my sister-in-law's, my best friend's and most especially MY OWN! When I hired her to do my wedding, I was unable to meet her for a trial run! Nevertheless, on the day of my wedding, all I had to do was show her a picture of the look I wanted to achieve...and she went above and beyond! My makeup looked natural and my hair looked incredible! I was married this past July, and to this day, I still get compliments on how I looked like a model on our wedding day! THANKS, VIVIAN!

Vivian and her team did all of the makeup and hair for my wedding on 10/13/07 and they did a phenomenal job. They arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and finished on time...everything you could ask for! All of my girls felt totally transformed by Vivian & her team. Not only did they do a great job, but her prices were also VERY reasonable compared to other vendors in the area. I can't recommend her work highly enough!

Vivian was booked so I hired her partner Angelina for my wedding day. She did a fantastic job. She was extremely nice and helpful, listened very carefully to what I wanted and was very punctual. I don't think I've ever looked better in a photo, I wish she could do my makeup everyday. I can go on and on about how skilled she is. However, the three assistants that were booked with her didn't thrill me. too much makeup, hair didn't look very good. My girls redid a lot of it after they left. So a big big yes to Angelina but beware of who the assistants are once Vivian's usual assistants are booked up.

Vivian Rocks! My family and I have used her several times and will continue to do so. When it was finally my time to get hitched, I knew without a doubt that I would be using her and her team. My girls and I were so happy with our hair and make up - everything exceeding my expectations!

I called Vivian in March for my upcoming wedding on December. But she is booked on my date. So, she recommended her partner, Angelina. I was skeptical at first and constantly asked Vivian if Angelina is as good as her, and Vivian reassured me that Angelina would do a good job. So, I decided to have a trial with Angelina. She is sooo fun to work with and listen to what you like/dislike. On my first trial, I didn't really like the eye shadow color that she put on me, though my friends said it looked good on me. So, last weekend, I called her up again and do another makeup trial for my photo shoot. The result was AWESOME!!!! I was soooo happy that I didn't want to take off my makeup for the night!! I am completely sold out by her talent and personality. And I highly recommend her for any brides out there.

Worth every penny. Professional, timely and very patient. I changed my mind as to the hairstyle that I want about a thousand times. Vivian has been extremely patient, explaining that everything is going to be ok. True to her word, everything went flawless. My hair and make up lasted all night. She only uses high quality make up and it really enhances your natural beauty. I got a lot of compliments from friends and family the day of my wedding. To all future brides, look no further. With only a month until my wedding, I had been searching for just the right person and after scanning the web, I fell in love with Vivian Tran's work. The pictures posted of the transformations sold me.

She did both my engagement session hair & makeup and my wedding hair & makeup. And both times, I felt like the lady in red, where all eyes were on me. Looking back at my pictures, her artistic work of dramatic eyes, contouring of the face to bring out cheekbones, and her amazing ability of hair design is a true testament to how she paints a picture perfect portrait with any canvas she is given.

I should tell you how awesome her team was as well. I had a morning wedding starting at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, which meant we had to be out of the hotel by 9:00. They did 6 of my bridesmaids, both my mom and my mother-in-law, and one of my sponsors and her daughter. They started this by 6 a.m., and made the 2 hour drive to San Diego from Orange County, and some of the girls did not even sleep from the night before. That is dedication and a crew of passion for this artistry. They truly aided in making my wedding a day to remember. They were worth every penny. Don't settle for less. I was looking for a make-up artist that knows how to contour the face to make my round face look slimmer in pictures and give me that certain bridal glow. Vivian was able to define my face giving me define cheek bones and a slender jawline. Her make-up techniques made me look radiant in photos and flawless in person. After my trial I was sold!!!! I hired her for my engagement shoot, my formal shoot and my wedding day. For my engagement shoot I had broken out in stress hives the day before (stressed over planning). After your trial, Vivian whips out her professional camera and does a mini photo shoot so that you can see what you look like in pictures. Vivian is very thorough and she has this magnet personality that keeps you tame, minutes before your big day.

Although she was more expensive than other make-up artists, she did do a wonderful job. She will listen to what it is you want and work with you as well as give you her suggestions. Vivian knows what she is doing and I am happy with the outcome.

What can I say about Vivian? A CLASS ACT! Vivian did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she also did all 6 bridesmaids as well. She is super organized and came up with a timeline so that we could all make it in time for pictures. This was so helpful and we didn't miss a beat. She made everyone look soooo good. I loved how accommodating she was at the trial to get the look that I wanted, and she remembered it all for my big day! It truly was the best that I have ever looked, and I am so grateful for having Vivian by my side. Our entire wedding party looked polished. Choosing Vivian for my hair and make-up on my wedding day was the BEST decision I made! She made me feel so gorgeous that I don't think it could have mattered if anything went wrong on my wedding day! Her make-up was wonderful, natural, and it seriously felt like I had none on! I just got married a few weeks ago and Vivian and her team did hair and makeup for me, my mom, and my bridesmaids. She was very accommodating with regards to all of my last minute timeline changes and day of styling needs. She made all of these accommodations with no hesitation and with no added stress. Vivian was such a delight to work with. I had gone through 3 other makeup artists before finding Vivian, and I definitely liked her work the best. Vivian is AMAZING!! The girl can 'work it'! I was a bridesmaid in my cousins wedding and she did four of our make-up/hair, plus my mom's, and the flower girls in about 4.5 hours!! And we all looked absolutely gorgeous. Everyone at the wedding kept commenting on our hair and makeup, asking us who did it. Vivian was able to bring all of our best features out.
