The girls at Allegria are great!! My experience when deciding on my dress, the bridesmaid dresses and all of the alterations was perfect! They really know how to make you feel at home. Thanks again for a great experience. So happy I chose to go with Allegria!

Allegria Bridal was my 3rd stop on the bridal salon tour. After visiting L'Elite Bridal and Priscilla of Boston, I made an appointment at Allegria, after recommendations from a coworker. I worked with Julie, who was wonderful and made the experience a great one. After discussing budget, style, etc. Julie started pulling amazing dresses that were exactly what I wanted - even though I didn't necessarily know it just yet. My only complaint regarding my experience with Allegria was in relation to notification that my dress had arrived. An email was sent to me, but ended up in a spam folder. There was no follow up notification for 3 weeks. It wasn't until I reached out to the salon to set up alteration appointments that I found out my dress had actually arrived. I would have expected a phone call from the salon, considering the service I had experienced on my first visit. Overall, a great experience - but that did sour my impression of Allegria.

The entire team at Allegria Bridal were so helpful and great to work with while choosing my wedding dress. They recently renovated their salon and it is beautiful inside and very accomodating for trying on with a few people joining to help! I was assigned a bridal consultant for my appt and she did an amazing job listening to what I wanted and ultimately selected the dress I wore on my wedding day!! After purchasing the dress, the communication about my dresses arrival and setting up my fittings was really easy. The seamstress there is unbelievable, her work is flawless and she made my dress even more beautiful than I thought it could be. I was so happy with the final outcome and will always be able to look at my wedding pictures fondly admiring the dress from Allegria Bridal!!

After not loving my first dress when it arrived (which was at a different salon), I became extremely stressed over trying to find my dream dress! Thankfully, Allegria was willing to sell me THE dress off the rack, and it put all my worries at ease. The staff is super nice, especially Barbara who helped me with my dress. I never felt pressured and I loved the set-up of their salon.

They did a great job in helping me select the dress and accessories. The seamstress also did an amazing job altering my dress in a timely manner.

Allegria Bridal is the perfect bridal shop. They are very professional and it is obvious they enjoy what they do. I has a wonderful experience. The salon is beautiful, and you can try on your dress in a private setting. The staff are courteous and attentive. The recommended seamstress for alterations is a true artist! For a wonderful, stress free experience, I highly recommend Allegria Bridal.

Fumi did a FANTASTIC job tailoring my wedding dress. I picked up my dress for a song at the Running of the Brides and it fit perfectly - 8 months ago! But a New Year's Resolution meant my dress needed to be taken in. My dress had all sorts of beautiful beading and detail work and Fumi handled it like a pro. Plus she was very knowledgeable and made me feel like my gorgeous couture was in good hands :)Our wedding was just a few days ago and everyone thought the dress looked like it had been made for me.

Allegria's adorable shop in Belmont is exactly what I wanted in a Bridal Shop. When I went to try on dresses, I was the only bride there and my mom, sisters, and I had the run of the floor to chose dresses to try on from their great selection. Barbara was absolutely fabulous making suggestions of dresses to try on... she understood my style and what I was looking for right away! She also was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic without being pushy. I left without buying anything... but knew I would need to go back. Barbara squeezed me in again that same weekend and I bought a dress that I'm so excited about and is everything I didn't know I wanted!

I purchased both my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at Allegria and was so impressed with the level of service. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and will make you feel right at home. The alterations seamstress is also incredible and works magic to make your dress fit perfectly. They were very attentive and helpful when my dress designer sent the wrong style of my dress and everything was resolved quickly and professionally. I highly recommend Allegria!

From the second I bought the dress to the day I took it home I had such a GREAT experience. I absolutely LOVED (still love) my dress.Barbara was the name of the woman in the shop who helped me and suggested different accessories when I first went in. I went with all of her recommendations and I am so glad I did! Alterations was amazing YUMI was so cute and so happy all the time. She created this crystal detail on the back of my dress which just added a touch of sparkle to the back....it came out perfectly.LOVE this little boutique and recommend any bride go and check out what they have to offer!

Please note- this review is regarding alterations. As for shopping and buying the dress I had a great experience. The alterations process and outcome were terrible. The seamstress (Fumi) was primarily unavailable on weekends, therefore I had one fitting and the final fitting was the week before my wedding, which I think accounts for her refusal to make any changes. She was also paid at that time and I think once she got the money she was done doing anything else. The dress was much too tight, and I mentioned this several times including at the first fitting when she was pinning the dress. I was dismissed, and told it would stretch out during the evening and had to be too tight. It took 3 girls 15 minutes to get me zipped and buttoned in. They were unable to hook the corset, it just wouldn't happen. And I had lost about 3 lbs since the first fitting, so it was not me. I was unable to breathe the entire night, and the next day I had bruising on my ribs. It made for a pretty miserable evening. At the final fitting, I told her the dress was too long, she insisted once it was pressed it would 'puff out'. Well, I spent the evening carrying the front of my dress around, or tripping on it, and whenever I tried to dance with someone, they tripped on it. Not exactly what you want at your wedding. For close to $500, I was very disappointed in the alterations. I would strongly recommended getting alterations elsewhere.

I went to four shops in total in search of the perfect dress and Allegria was by far the best. They listened to my likes and dislikes in terms of dresses I wanted to try on. The service was always friendly and responsive. Their prices are a bit high; but all in all, from beginning to end (from the experience of trying on numerous dresses, finding "the one" and then alterations), the ladies at Allegria made it fun.

I had a great experience with Allegria. In fact, I tried on dresses at a few places beforehand, and one of the factors in my decision to buy a dress at Allegria was that I preferred to work with the women there than at some of the other stores. I felt truly comfortable there, and that they would make sure I was completely happy. They were very responsive to any time I wanted to come in to try on the dress, veils, accessories, etc., even if they knew I wasn't buying something at that time. The only downside, and it wasn't really them, but the tailor they recommended, Rosa. While she did a great job and I can't complain at all about the quality of her work, she overcharged us by being noncommittal at the start and then continuing to add on fees as the time went on, for things as silly as an extra $40 for 1 yard of sash cloth that clearly didn't cost that much, when we had already paid her $600 (more than we had initially estimated by quite a bit). I wish we had set out a price and put it in writing the first day, since when she was already doing the dress we had no way to tell her we wouldn't pay what she said!

Barbara and Tracey were a delight to work with - and, given our relatively unique situation, they made us feel utterly welcome and comfortable. Both pay close attention to a bride's tastes, her shape, and her general style -- as well as the details of the ceremony -- and as a result, one ends up with a real consulting experience instead of just being herded through a dress warehouse towards a sale, which given the cost of gowns, is much appreciated. Allegria has a great sample selection, (which I almost selected from), and a well-selected array of designers and gown styles. I had my eye on a Spanish designer that they did not carry, and the staff went so far as to coordinate with the sales rep to have several samples shipped in for me to try one - at no cost. Fumi, too did beautiful work on both our gowns, and was a scream to work with! All around, a fantastic experience -- I almost wish I could get married again (to the same person of course) just to go try on more gowns there!

My experience with Allegria was fabulous. I mainly worked with Barbara, who is extremely helpful, sweet and great to work with. Even after I bought my gown, they were always quick to respond by email with any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend Allegria to any bride!

They were great.I found the dress I wanted in the first 3 I tried on (as I recall) and it was probably the fifth place I had gone.If your style is classic, elegant I think you will find something you like. Also had a good selection of flower girl dresses, although I ended up making my own.

Allegria Bridal is pricey. I had gone there just to try on dresses for the first time, not knowing the price range, and not knowing that I'd find my dream dress. It was way more than I had budgeted for a dress, but it was the ONE. I was told that alterations would cost no more than $250 at the seamstress they recommend and send their customers to. However, whether Allegria is to blame or the seamstress is to blame, my alterations cost more than DOUBLE what they had predicted at Allegria. That is something to consider and be prepared for. Also, when I had asked them who the designer of the dress was, they were unable to tell me and told me that it was a "custom design". I thought, fair enough, considering I hadn't purchased the dress yet. Once I had purchased the dress a few days later, I called to ask again, and they still gave me the same answer - "custom design". I found this odd. When I finally received my dress, it said right on the label - "MARISA". I had suspected that it was a Marisa. How bizarre that they couldn't tell me this though. I assume they didn't want me to shop around for a good price. More importantly - my dress DID come in on time.

Allegria carries a good variety of designer dressers. The staff are friendly and helpful and are always accommodating to your schedule. They have a good selection of bridesmaid dresses. I ordered mine through them and the girls recieved a 20% discount. Allegria was good at keeping track of the girls' orders and helping them with sizing. Some girls were sized too large, however, and significant alterations were needed on two of them. There are a limited (read: about 5) number of mother-of-the-brides dresses sold at Allegria. But, definitely a great place for high quality, high class wedding gowns.

I was pleased with the individual attention and suggestions during my dress appointment. The women at Allegria were professional and patient even during a busy Saturday. We also used Allegria for the bridesmaid dresses and they made us feel like old friends when we walked through the door. They made the entire ordering and pick up process very easy.

I loved the owners, two sisters, at Allegria. In the end I worked with both Barbara and Tracy and they are both incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, but still down to earth. They had better prices on the same dresses that I looked at in a salon in DC, and on top of that, I was able to get a 10% discount on my dress because of a discount they had running for that designer for all of May. They also have a large collection of bridesmaid dresses which you get a discount on if you buy your dress there. And I loved, loved, loved Fumi, the tailor. She was not only incredibly skilled, she's so friendly! Definitely check them out!

I loved this shop! I worked with the two owners (they are sisters) and they were so helpful! They were respectful of our budget and if a dress was pulled that was no within it, they made sure I knew and was ok trying it on. One of them pulled a dress that I thought was ugly on the hanger but they told me to trust them and try it on I fell in love instantly! My dress came in a few weeks early and they gave me a great recommendation for an alteration shop since I couldn't do normal buisness hours.

I purchased my Judd Waddell wedding gown from Allegria because they are the only bridal boutique in Massachusetts that the designer allows to carry his line, and I can completely see why! Barbara helped me select my gown- actually she was the one who picked it out and suggested that I try it on! I must say, she has great taste! And she was never once pushy about anything. The other staff member that must be mentioned is Fumi the seamstress. Fumi is INCREDIBLY talented (she designs and makes her own clothes) and I couldnt have been more pleased with the job she did on the alterations and bustle for my gown. Her work alone earned Allegria the 5-star rating in Quality of Service!

I chose the designer Anne Barge. The staff was very nice to notify me when her trunk show was to take place. (to those who don't know...at the trunk show designers offer good discounts on their new designs). When my dress came in I was promptly given a call, my dress came in 3 weeks early. THe dress came out fantastic but the edge of the veil was unfinished. The dress shop sent back the veil and had it back quickly. The staff was always so easy to talk to and work with. I think I tried on 10 dresses....never once was there a sigh or a sign I was being a pain. They have a great professional manner. I only wish they had a seamstress.

Loved Allegria and the salesperson who helped us (it's been 2 years so I forget her name). I loved my dress and wish I could wear it again. Thanks for all your help!

I found the perfect dress at Allegria. The staff was great and helpful.

The staff at Allegria Bridal was wonderful. Very friendly and patient, and managed to get my dress without a rush fee even though it was pretty close to the wedding date. It was ready exactly when they said it would be, and their in house seamstress was FABULOUS and one of the nicest people I've ever met. Pricey, but I thought it was worth it.

I loved my experience there! They have a great selection! I was looking for something with clean lines and just a little extra something to make the dress special. My dress was Verona by Rivini and I absolutely love my dress! Julie was great to work with and even let me come in and try on the sample again when I wanted to see “my” dress again. She was not pushy and just happy for me when I found my dress. I was jumping up and down in my dress when it finally came in, and Julie played dress up with me, putting veils and barrettes in my hair and not once did I feel that she was pushing the sale on me. Fabulous store! They have nice bridesmaid dresses too.
GUEST

The staff at Allegria was very responsive and helpful in assisting me find bridesmaids dresses. Their store had one of the most competitive prices for the dress I chose, and responded to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone!

I purchased both my dress (Judd Waddel), veil, jewerly and bridesmaids (Jim Hjelm) from Allegria bridal. All alterations, service and quality were all outstanding!
GUEST

They found my perfect dress! I only tried on 3 dresses there, and the third was perfect. Liked that alterations could be done there. Would definitely recommend!
GUEST

The ladies at Allegria Bridal were great. I had a very hard time finding my dress, and they were so patient and helpful on each of my three visits to look for dresses. I finally bought a James Clifford at a trunk show, and they were helpful with suggestions on what to change/not change and the color. They were very patient and nice when I had a minor freak-out about the color I ordered (blush) - but they were right, it was the perfect complement to my skin and didn't look pink at all! And then they spent almost an hour with me to select the right veil and jewelry. They have beautiful dresses, a little on the pricey side, but the service was great - such nice women, not at all snotty like you can sometimes find. A great experience!

The ladies at Allegria were so nice and made the bridal dress shopping experience such a pleasure. My dress was purchased at a trunk show so I had additional savings.
