Allison's Gourmet Catering and Event Planning

I really enjoyed working with Allison's Gourmet Catering. At our initial meeting they had solutions for problems other caterers hadn't been able to solve. On the day the food was excellent, the staff was very polite and helpful. All the guests were really impressed and enjoyed the food immensely and as the bride, I wasn't stressed at all, feeling I could leave everything to them. My only difficulties with Allison's was the process of finalizing decisions. It seemed that things we'd discussed in meetings were forgotten or misremembered by a few days later. I had to send many repeats of lists and requests to be sure I was getting what was decided on. The contract and rentals list had to be redone countless times so be very careful and go through each item one by one to make sure there are no doubles or missing items. We also had a small issue with what we were charged and while that was just an understandable mistake, it took much longer to resolve it than I would have liked. Overall I would recommend Allison's, but only if you're the kind of bride who's either very on top of things all the time, or who won't get stressed by differences in the details.

We used Allison's catering for our wedding reception. I would not recommend them to anyone. All seemed great up until our day. We received many complaints from our guests that the staff was rude, the food was cold, and they did not follow directions / timeline. A staff member yelled at the bride-to-be which had put her in tears. There was a lot of details missed that ended up costing us more money. We complained to the owners and received nothing but excuses for their poor service. I'm not a picky person and would normally let the little things pass... but the way we were treated by their staff and the response of the owners disgusts me. The only good thing I can say is the price... but trust me, you get what you pay for.

Barbara at Allison's of Milton bent over backwards to accomodate our unique demands and venue amenities. They customized a menu entirely to our theme and totally got on board with our vision. On the day of, when the our self-stocked bar ran out of something, the bartender went home to get some of her own alcohol so that we wouldn't disappoint any guests. Our only complaint is that some of the rentals were not what we asked for and the food on the day of was not presented entirely as promised. Other than that, I would say that Allison's is very high quality for the price.
