Almond tree was the first and last shop I went to to find my dress.everybody at almond tree made my mother and I feel very welcome even with my cranky seven month old baby. I found my dream dress and it is absolutely beautiful.and also way cheaper than expected!! I would recommend almond tree to and bride. Big thanks to the staff at almond tree for making my dress shopping stress free and fun!!!

Absolutely loved this place! Louise is amazing. She helped me find the perfect dress for my wedding. I was only going to try a few on that I liked but she picked some out that she thought would look good. Surprisingly enough I walked out loving the one she chose. The dress was well priced and her customer service was astonishing I was so happy I actually hugged her on the way out haha. Great place thumbs up for sure

I went to David's Bridal the first time I tried on dresses and I didn't find "the one." I wanted something different so I looked for a smaller boutique. I found Almond Tree on Wedding Wire and they had great reviews so I decided to check them out. I called to make an appointment and Pam got me an appointment for the day I wanted. When I got to the boutique I was the only bride there. I was a little skeptical when I found out the dresses were used but once I saw them I realized they were in great condition and very reasonably priced! Pam was great and had many great suggestions and she was really patient as I tried on a lot of gowns and all the people I brought with me had their own opinions. Needless to say I found my dress that day and the price was very reasonable. I can't wait to bring my dress in to get it altered in September. I would totally recommend Almond Tree Wedding Boutique to anyone looking for that perfect dress.

I had been dress shopping twice before I found my way to Almond Tree and I wish this had been the first place I had stopped. First off, I couldn't believe they had just moved into their location less than a week before my appointment, the place was spacious and beautiful! Then, I just have to say - Alyssa was awesome! She was so excited for me and my wedding it was great! Next, I couldn't believe that she was mine for my whole appointment (the other places split up the girls that were supposed to help you among 3-4 other appts where I often found myself waiting vs. trying on dresses). She helped me get into my dresses, she zipped up, buttoned up, laced up (and covered up in some cases) but helped me the whole time, then she'd follow me out of the dressing rooms and on the way out, we'd grab a bouquet to show off with the dress and in front of the mirrors where my family was relaxing on the sofa in our own viewing area. After several dresses I found "THE one" (actually my daughter found it) and I felt like a princess. Mom cried. I almost did too. I could stop looking and check off finding the dress from my to-do list. The price tag? Normally $1200, Almond Tree had it at $600. Less than I thought I would have had to spend just looking at the last places I had been. I would HIGHLY recommend Alyssa (and Pam) to anyone and everyone looking to find their "the dress" for their magical day.

I found my dream dress here at a great price! I also used the alterations services provided and the dress turned out beaultiful! I definately would reccomend looking here before anywhere else.

Just got home from Almond Tree, SOO happy. I ordered another dress off of the internet, received it yesterday and hated it!! Went to Almond Tree the next day, came out with a dress that I LOVE and a hairpiece the consultant, Asia, picked out that I also love.

I went in alone as I just moved to the area. Received above and beyond care from Pam and Asia. Would recommend them to anybody. They stayed under budget (300) and I couldn't be happier.

I came to Almond Tree in June 2011 after discovering there was no way I would be able to wear my Mother and Grandmother's wedding gown as I had always planned. I wasn't sure what to expect from the experience, but I had read good reviews. Almond Tree was the second boutique I shopped in for gowns.

I could not have been more pleased with the experience. I can't remember which lovely girl helped me, but she was so patient. She asked what I was looking for and approximately what size I was. I had a few qualifications of what I knew I didn't want, and we began our search through my size and the sizes below and above. I am a size 10, and the WORST part about going to other dress shops was not being able to squeeze into their size 2-4 samples. Shopping for your dress should be magical and confidence boosting, in my opinion; no bride should feel like a sausage in a casing. Almond Tree was great because you try on dresses in your size range, so it's much easier to feel beautiful and to visualize what your dress will look like on your wedding day.

We pulled out probably 15-20 dresses; I tried them all on and she never rushed me. We even saved 5 of them and had a "fashion show" to try them on a SECOND time to help me decide which one(s) I really liked. I ended up walking away that day with my wedding gown, which, I might add, is NOTHING like what I imagined myself wearing! And it was only half my budget!

I returned again with my Mom in September to try on different veils. Again they were so patient, and the veil was so reasonably priced. The girl that helped me originally with my gown makes the veils herself.

I recommend Almond Tree to everyone who will listen. Thank you so much for making a stressful part of my wedding planning so relaxing and fun!

The staff at Almond Tree are amazing! Nearly my entire experience with them was perfect and their on-site dress-maker is fantastic! She cut down a dress 4 sizes too large and made it look like it was made just for me. Every interaction from when I first tried on gowns to my last fitting made me feel very important and I always left the shop smiling.

The one and only hiccup came when my mother-in-law came by to pick up my dress the morning before the wedding and the gown wasn't back from the cleaners on time, though it was ready and clean. It just took an extra drive to get the dress from the cleaners.

I can't recommend Almond Tree enough. From no-pressure sales to amazing alterations, they are amazing. It certainly doesn't feel like a consignment shop ... it was a couture experience at consignment prices.

I found my dream dress at Almond Tree. This place has great prices if you don't mind purchasing a sample gown or consignment gown. I found they had a very large selection of dresses and so many great styles to choose from. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. I'd definitely recommend making an appointment and checking out their inventory in person.

I couldn't have done it without Pam and her staff. I went to plenty of bridal stores in the Valley before Almond Tree, and none of them compare in friendliness, selection, or price. Pam knows her stuff. I went there with an idea of what I wanted, and she pulled my dream dress right off the rack. They do their own alterations, too, and the alterations gal was magical! Whenever I stopped in to pick up my dress or my veil, Pam was so friendly. It was like she'd known me for years. Really made me feel at home, and wow--I felt so beautiful on my wedding day!! In my opinion, this is the only bridal boutique in Phoenix! BRAVO!

Pam was wonderful, both of them, they even remembered me at a weding show! Amazing women... Loved my dress and so glad they always made me feel comfortable! Alterations and jewelry was amazing that they in the store so I had Louise throw together a birdcage veil and hair piece together in one week.... AMAZING!! Buying my dress from Almond Tree was one of the best wedding decisions I made and I enthusiastically recommend them to ANY bride-to-be.

First, Pam was incredibly helpful not only with my dress, but with vendor recommendations, dress and tux related questions, and so much more. It's so refreshing to interact with a business woman who goes the extra mile to ensure satisfaction. And modest budget? No problem! Unlike snobby and overpriced wedding dress chains and designer stores I visited, the small and intimate Almond Tree Wedding boutique offered such personalized attention and was so respectful with my budget that I couldn't help but feel like 'my' day was as important to them as it was to me.

With the guidance of the experts, I found my perfect dress. Unfortunately it was slightly above my budget AND I wanted to add cap sleeves. Knowing this, Pam was perfectly willing to call the bride in an effort to make my budget work. Thanks to her willingness and the generosity of the dress' original owner, I was able to attain my perfect dress on budget!

The only brief - and rectified - negative was being told at my final alterations appointment that I owed an extra $100 (apparently there was a miscommunication about how much my alterations would truly cost) but seeing my shock and confusion, Emma was so gracious and generous as to null the remainder: another action that attests a true desire by Almond Tree to ensure happy, satisfied...

I had the most fabulous experience at the Almond Tree. My consultant was friendly, fun and made trying on dresses a wonderful experience. This boutique sells both new and used wedding dresses and I got an intricate and beautifully detailed dress for an amazing price (I ended up saving almost $1000). They also did custom alterations to my dress, which turned out just as I'd hoped, I only had to do 2 fittings and the seamstress did beautiful work.

I am so glad I found this place!! Every place I went to try on dresses was either over priced, or just didn't have what I was looking for. I did find a dress I like at one chain store, but due to designer specifications, was not able to alter it the way I wanted. I found a beautiful dress at Almond Tree, and Pam was able to help me envision what my dress would look like once we altered it. Let me tell you - it turned out better than what I would have expected. Emma was an amazing seamstress, and all night I got compliments on what a beautiful and unique dress I had. A big thank you to Almond Tree!! They were so friendly and accommodating - they even pressed my mom & sister's dresses two days before the wedding for me because they flew in from out of state. You guys are the best!!!

My Mother had found out about Almond Tree Wedding Boutique when she was looking to consign her Mother of the Bride Dress and a few other things. She had such a wonderful experience with them that when I got engaged, going to their store was one of the first things she suggested. I had a very limited budget and so I took my Mother's advice hoping to get more for the money I had available for a dress. I got so much more than that. Not only are the owners Pam and Pam wonderful to work with they also have such an eclectic collection of dresses to try they really have something for any taste or desire. I found 3 dresses that I liked on my first visit to their store and had to bring my Mother back for her opinion. It was on this visit that I found the Dress. I tried it on, It fit Perfect, and brought Tears to my Mother and my eyes. We knew that this was it and Pam could tell as well and she made sure it fit in my budget. I would recommend Almond Tree to anyone and everyone and already have to everyone I know who is getting married or are thinking about it. You can find hundreds of shops with people to help you and who understand Wedding Dresses. Almond Tree has both of those things but they also Understand the Bride and the chemistry between the Bride and the Dress that is the One for her.

I have to add to the glowing reviews. I had a wonderful experience here. I am a repeat bride and had concerns about finding a dress that was appropriate for a small, family wedding without being so casual that I didn't feel like a bride. Almond Tree had a wonderful selection and I found the perfect dress for me at a price $200 under what I had budgeted. (But boy, oh boy, do they have the stunner first time dresses too! Holy cow! Gorgeous!) The service was personal, caring and very professional. I felt like she was invested in finding me the right dress for me rather than making a big sale. The accessories are gorgeous, and she brought me the most stunning pair of earrings I have ever seen to try on with my dress. I ended up getting a dress, earrings, veil, slip, and alterations for $100 over what I had budgeted for just the dress alone. But I don't feel like I had to compromise on style at all! I am usually the type who would go to every store in the valley before I made a decision, but Almond Tree was only the second store I tried and I had no reservations about stopping my search. When you find perfection, why keep looking?!

Why pay full price for a dress you are only going to wear once? Most of the dresses at the Almond Tree have never been worn (they are from out of business bridal shops, dress changes, etc.) and if it has been worn, just dry clean it and so what? That just means it went through a successful and beautiful wedding. I loved the variety and Pam was just AMAZING to work with. It is totally worth it to stop in and take a look!

I had an "EXCELLENT" experience with Asia at Almond Tree! She helped me to find the PERFECT dress! As well as gave me ideas and option details to customizing it to my liking! Almond Tree offers TONS of Amazing dresses to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Thanks Pam & Asia for everything!!

I had an amazing experiance with Alyssa at Amond Tree Boutique. She took her time to help me find the perfect dress. I needed alerations and they were very easy to work with. Once alterations were finished the dress turned out exactly the way I imagined it. Overall very glad I found this place.

I have recommended Almond Tree to anyone that will listen! Pam and Pam started their Boutique to help brides find their dream dress without breaking the bank in the process and all I can say is Mission Accomplished! From start to finish my experience with Almond Tree was wonderful, no pressure, just comfortable surroundings to try on as many dresses as I desired. The prices were so affordable, I could hardly believe it. And....they encourage you to take photos, this was very helpful! I don't want to forget about Emma, she did my alterations, listened to all my concerns and made my dress fit perfectly along with adding the most beautiful bustle! Shop at Almond Tree first, or last, just make sure and shop there!!

I loved my dress and the price was great! They also provided me with an alterations place that was very flexible. I ended up not being able to fit in my dress after it came back from alterations and they fixed it immediately.

I had gone to 6 other wedding gown shops before finding Almond Tree and I am so glad I found them. I was blown away by their beautiful gowns and then the prices sealed the deal. I have recommended them to 3 of my friends and all have bought their gowns there too!! It is a great find!

They have set up their shop beautifully where they keep their gowns and have the best viewing platform. It has 3 mirrors so you can see every angle of your gown and the platform is raised so that the gown's train can flow down and you can get the full feel for how beautiful the gown really is. They also allow you to take pictures of the gowns you try on, which is supper helpful when you get home and trying to remember what gown looked like what.

Our wedding date is not until 2013 and I had not planned on buying a gown this soon, however, I found THE DRESS at Almond Tree and had to get it. And it worked out perfectly, Almond Tree will store gowns for $20/year and since my wedding is so far away it was a great option for me (otherwise, I am sure I would be wearing my dress to clean the house or cook dinner!! :o)). I actually got my entire wedding attire from Almond Tree (gown, veil, & jewelry).

As you know, anything with the word "wedding" in it makes the price sky rocket. I was so impressed with prices at Almond Tree. Having gone to many other boutiques, I was shocked at the price of the gown I bought. When I saw it, I guessed that the price was going to be ~$1,600 and then I was informed that it was ONLY $350!!! The dress is absolutely gorgeous and I could not believe the price. The veil I bought was only $50 - I had seen one just like it the day before for $264!! The Jewelry I got looks so beautiful and NOT cheap/cheesy as I had seen in the other wedding shops. I got earrings, necklace, & bracelet for $100 and they match my dress perfectly.

Louise Hile worked with me to find the perfect gown & attire. She was WONDERFUL! She was attentive, patient, and extremely knowledgeable with the whole wedding experience. She never pressured or rushed me. She must have helped me in and out of at least 20 dresses. And they were all so beautiful and it became kinda difficult to know which one I liked more. She was great and told me to tell her which ones I thought were my favorite and she got those ones ready for a re-try. She said, lets have you put those ones on again and when you get in the right one, you will just know. I had my doubts b/c I like them ALL! BUT she was right and it happened just as she said it would and I knew! It was done, I had found THE DRESS!! I found a jewelry set I really liked, but it was not quite what I wanted. Louise knew what look I was wanting and said that she could alter the jewelry to have it hang the way I wanted so that it would be perfect. I was so excited about this b/c I really liked this set and it went so perfectly with my dress. I am so excited to see the finished product that Louise is going to create for me!! She is a must have when getting your perfect Bride-look.

Emma did the alterations on my dress and her work was absolutely beautiful. We originally had her put in a corset backing. She was able to do the alterations within a week. When we went in to pick up the dress, it did not quite fit just right and Emma pointed this out and got out her pins again. She had to take about 4 inches out of the dress for the corset to fit properly. She was amazing, she made these changes in less than 24 hrs!!! We were heading to CA the next day and my Mother was going to take the dress home with her to keep it for me until the wedding and Emma got it done for us without any hesitation. We came in the next morning on our way out to CA and the dress was PERFECT and so BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Emma for your hard & speedy work, the dress is beautiful and perfect!

I randonmly found out about Almond Tree through another bride, and boy am I glad I did! This is THE PLACE to get your dress.
The service that I received from Pam and Pam was awesome, and the selection is top notch! They went out of their way to make me feel welcomed, comfortable and relaxed. My Mom and I came in together for my shopping appointment, and Pam was so incredibly patient and kind. I never felt rushed or pressured at all.
I found THE DRESS there, but wanted to get the opinions of some of my friends. Pam and Pam were more than kind in letting me come back multiple times to try the dress on with my friends.
I am thrilled with the dress, and my wedding guests were floored. I am still getting compliments. It was exactly what I was looking for, and I'm so glad that I found it at Almond Tree.

Buying a wedding dress is SOOOO stressful. Pam and Pam attended to me with care, patience and expertise. While I didn't find "my" dress at Almond Tree Wedding Boutique, I really enjoyed the shopping experience here more than anywhere else in the Phoenix metro area. They have a very nice selection of pre-owned and sample dresses and the dresses were all flawless and the price was definitely right-on. I worked with one of the Pam's, and I really enjoyed my appointment.

Wow! What can I say about Almond Tree? Their staff is SO amazing! Their dress selection is incredibly wide ranging! Beautiful gowns for all shapes and sizes! Their team is also SO helpful and friendly! And also very compassionate for brides like myself who pass out during their final fitting! :D I highly recommend them!!

Shopping here was an amazing experience. Personal attention and patience helped our daughter choose a gown that was spectacularly beautiful and simply elegant. The price was over budget but the staff was able to negotiate with the vendor for a price that fit her budget, Alterations were done timely and well. We have already referred three other brides to this store and every one of them had a wonderful experience.

I loved working with Pam. She was very kind, patient, and professional. While it is a consignment shop, I felt that I received the attention I would've gotten from an upscale bridal shop - without the price! They have an amazing selection of gowns. I was able to buy a designer gown for half the price, and Emma, the seamstress that works with Almond Tree, did an amazing job converting my gown to a corset back and adding beading.

Picking out my wedding dress was a wonderful experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Owners Pam and Pam were friendly and accommodating. They spent a lot of one on one time helping me try on dresses without the high pressure sales pitch. They have a great selection in all sizes and you can’t beat the price! If you want a designer dress at great prices, start here! Don’t forget to make an appointment – you wont be disappointed!

I originally bought a wedding dress from another store, and when I went in for my first fitting, we found that they sent the wrong dress (about 3 sizes too small), and the store owner told the tailor to make it work. When we realized it wasn't going to work, I called Almond Tree Weddings (completely panicked with only a little over a month until my wedding), and they truly saved the day - and the new dress that I went with was about a sixth of the price and BEAUTIFUL!
I had the greatest experience at Almond Tree Weddings. They are a by appointment only shop, and they have tons of dresses and styles in every size. Pam and Pam got me in quickly, and were so patient when I tried on dresses for about 3 hours. They encourage you to take pictures, and their dresses are beautiful. They are incredibly affordable as well.

Almond Tree Weddings totally saved the day and I had so much fun finding a new dress. Highly recommend!

I am a girl on a budget! Who's not now days right?

My wedding dress shopping adventure started at a very well known national chain (not naming any names..but it starts with D) My experience was sooo awful!! There were 10 other brides trying on dresses at the same time, people running around everywhere and when I told the consultant what my price point was...I was told that I would ONLY find a plain dress in my price point. I felt like crying! It was the worst experience ever!

I had attended a wedding expo earlier that week and happened to still have Almond Tree's business card in my purse, I decided to give them a call. It was the BEST decision I had ever made! This facility is by appointment only so when I arrived I was the only bride there! It was all about ME! It was a great feeling :) Their boutique is so quiet, inviting and comfortable feeling....with a very nice black stage and big mirrors, which I loved!

The best part...they worked with my budget! I told them the different styles I was interested in and they were able to find one that incorporated them all AND in my budget! I got soooo much more dress for my money! Needless to say, it can not even be compared to what the other store was trying to sell to me.

Almond Tree gave me the best experience and more then I could have asked for! Thank you ladies for all your help with finding my special dress! It's an experience I will never forget!

I bought my wedding dress at Almond Tree Weddings after shopping at 5 other bridal boutiques in the Valley. Almond Tree weddings offered the best overall experience. I actually went in twice, the first time just to try on dresses and the second time to try on a few more and make a purchase. The staff were so helpful, encouraging, and supportive. They offered feedback without being pushy and were very knowledgeable about their inventory. I was pleasantly surprised in the number of dresses available in a variety of styles and I ended up buying a dress in a syyle I would have never imagined I would like. The boutique was clean and organized and while trying on the dresses I was encouraged to stand on a stage with multiple full length mirrors to get the full princess-view. In addition to all the other wonderful reasons to shop at Almond Tree weddings, I was pleased to find a designer gown at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Almond Tree Weddings to new brides hoping enjoy a wonderful shopping experience and find the perfect dress!

I would have to agree with everyone on this place. Pam was amazing to work with and although I found the dress of my dreams at another store, I wish that I would have found it at Almond Tree. The patience and knowledge of the women at this place cannot be beat. It really seems that they care and aren't eager to push you out of the store like other places. They are flexible on making payments and really want to work with you. I would recommend this place to anyone.

They have a HUGE selection of dresses for an amazing price. who would have ever thought of consigning wedding dresses! they had brand new dresses that had never been worn as well! They all looked amazing and were so helpful in wanting me to find that perfect dress for me..which we did :) It was so nice to have someone as caring as they were about me and my day. They were full of suggestions and ideas that the possibilities seemed endless. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone.

After visiting more commercial wedding stores such as Davids and feeling frustrated & part of the 'masses', I found the Almond Tree Wedding Boutique and what an adorablely perfect place to try on wedding gowns. My family, friends and I were the only ones there, we didn't feel rushed, there was TONS to choose from, the prices were so low... it was just such a special moment in my life trying on dresses there. I did have to visit several times to get the alterations just right, but in the end my dress was exactly what I wanted. I did put a 4.5 for professionalism because I didn't feel the owner was dressed appropriately for being the owner of such a chic little boutique!

Almond Tree Wedding Boutique had the dress of my dreams! I had my heart set on Maggie Sottero's Stella gown. Other shops could have ordered it in for me, but I would have had to wait a few months to try it on and see how it looked on my figure. I discovered Almond Tree at a bridal fair and not only found out they had the dress in stock, but at a very reasonable price! I only gave 4 stars for flexibility because they operate by appointment only, which might make someone feel bad if they make an appointment but leave without making a purchase. I really appreciated Pam & Pam's patience and personal attention with me and recommend them to anyone looking for the dress of their dreams, or any bridal accessories/need, at a very affordable cost.

The selection and price is outstanding! They made me a custom facinator which was unique and very cool.

I was very pleased with Almond tree wedding boutique. My sister bought her dress from there and recommended them to me. Pam was very helpful during my appointment and even persuaded me to try on a dress I wasn't to sure about. After seeing it on I fell in love with it. I knew that was the one and I'm so grateful she told me to try it. They were great about fixing buttons and cleaning stains. The only problem I had was when it came to getting it back after it had been cleaned. No one seemed to pick up the phone or call me back. I had called several times and left messages. I even emailed. It wasn't until my sister wrote a more aggressive email that they finally got back to us. Im not one to complain but it was a little ridiculous. Overall I would still highly recommend them and I have sent 3 people there way who all bought their dresses from them.

I had a great experience with them! I spent the afternoon with my mom and sister and one person associate, alone in their show room; it was like I had the whole place to myself! The value was great! The only thing I wasn't exceptionally happy with was the fact that my dress was still a bit big in the chest after getting it altered but the seamstress suggested not taking it in any more. I wish she would have suggested otherwise.

My dress turned out beautifully, but there were a few snags along the way. I bought my dress at the old location and when it was time for me to go in and get it altered, no one told me that they had moved locations. So, I drove all the way out to the old location only to see a little sign that said they had moved. Then when I arrived at the new store, there was no appointment for me even though I know for sure that I booked it for that time and day.

Also, I had to get my dress altered twice because she didn't do it correctly the first time. However, in the end, I loved my dress and I got a really great deal on...

I found the mose amazing dress at Almond tree and it was perfect for me and well priced!!! The one thing bad I have to say is that their lighting isnt the greatest and it makes it a little difficult to see everything while you are trying on gowns!
My dress Alterations was another story altogether! I returned with my dress to the alteration lady who works at this shop (I never even got her name) She sewed in ties for a french bustle onto my dress which she never numbered until after I tried it on and took it off, and the length was NOT right, the back was much longer than the front when bustled and when I mentioned this to her, she said "thats how its supposed to be" All I could think was, yeah but thats not what I want, isnt that what we are supposed to be going off?! The alterations were half the cost of the dress which was RIDICULOUS!!! And when I was leaving, I asked if I got the dress home and wanted something changed if I could contact her and she became visibly upset wanting to know what was wrong with the dress! I was so upset I just walked out and had a friend help me fix the bustle later that was never done correctly to begin with. And at the end of the night, my dress had been stepped on so many times (since it was longer in the back) that it had ripped in multiple places on the inside! DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS ALTERED HERE IF YOU PURCHASE HERE!!!!

The dress shopping experience was the best I had out of all the places I went. My party was the only one in the store at the time and I got to try on as many dresses as I wanted to and try them on as many times as I needed to make my mind up. Great value on the dress too. The alterations on the other hand were not as easy going, my final fitting was changed at least 4 times and 2 times the day of. on top of that the dress was not done on the day of my fitting. the good news was that it all worked out in the end.

My experience purchasing my dress at the Almond Tree was wonderful. Pam is amazing and never was rude or elitist as some bridal boutiques are. I loved Almond Tree; however I felt like after I purchased my dress from them I was treated completely differently. Originally I was quoted a price for alterations upon purchasing the dress only to find out after purchasing it the quote was grossly underpriced. My dress was also incredibly dirty (which I was ok with as I had fallen in love with it) even though it had never been worn so I had to pay $100 to get it dry cleaned before my wedding. One time they made me wait 45 minutes for a 10 minute dress fitting because they were still with a client who had gone over her appointment time. Overall I loved my dress and loved finding it... I would just recommend doing all the other little things elsewhere.

Please be WARNED about this wedding shop! do not buy your dress here!

I went to this wedding store in search of a gown for my wedding in Europe. I decided on a lovely gown that I purchased under the conditions that it would be able to be modified by shortening it, adding a corset back, and adding 3/4 length, set in sleeves that were beaded identically to the bodice of the dress.

This shop promised that they employed an expert dressmaker. They stated that the dress would be complete by March first and that I would be able to come in around 3 times. This was important as I am out of town and must pay for a flight every time I came in. It was very important to me that the dress be completed by this time and I was assured it would be.

1). The alterations made very little, or next to no progress. The last time I came in was last weekend (beyond the deadline for completion) and I was able to finally see one sleeve attached to the dress with none of the beading or fitting on the sleeve done, not to mention the other sleeve. It also looked horrible.

2) When they hemmed the dress it was crooked, they fixed it but this took a significant amount of time. Apparently, so much time to do the minor alteration they neglected to do the alterations that would require the most work.

3) The dress looked lumpy and was sewn poorly, no measurements were taken of my arms and they could not seem to get the idea they might want to measure something like that.

4) The last time I was in (this last weekend) the dress was supposed to be completed as was promised many times. It was not done. The alterations woman stated that she could have it done by Monday and ready for pickup before I left town. I went in on Monday and it was not completed.

The alterations lady claimed she could have it ready in 3 days. I stated my mother would come in to look at it and I would see if I could find a flight to come and pick it up. I booked and paid for another flight.

As of right now I leave on a plane for Europe to my wedding on the 2nd of April and I have no dress. It is less than 2 weeks and I need to find a fast dress. I wrote emails complaining about this and stating that this was unacceptable. Their solution was to offer to buy me another dress that was 1) sleeveless and 2) ugly and not even close to the quality of dress I had been promised. Nor would I have gone to the trouble of having a strapless dress altered for sleeves if I had considered wearing a sleeveless dress in the first place.

When I stated this was an unacceptable solution and I would look at the finished product and if not up to the standards agreed upon and promised I would want my money back.

Almond tree wrote an email stating that they would not be able to help me and I should just come pick up the dress they would refund the deposit for the alterations but not continue work on the dress. They also did not offer to compensate me for the cost of the original dress.

These people do not care about customer service and have ruined my wedding day. I have no dress, and no time to obtain one other than an off the rack dress that will likely be ill fitting. We are talking about a polyester Davids Bridal special.

Further, they ate up all of my budget and I have no money left to purchase a new dress especially not on such short notice. They made several mistakes along the way like neglecting to contact me to tell me that they had moved. So I show up to an appointment at the old store and find it is gone. No call, no warning. I guess they cannot be bothered. I only flew into town for the appointment; if I miss it who cares right?

I went once again to complete this transaction. They had finally "finished" the dress. It was sewn poorly and the sleeves did not fit correctly. I asked for a refund on the alterations. They gave it to me. They then gave me 100 dollars in cash (as if this makes up for what they did) and I proceeded to take my dress and leave the store. The owner had the nerve to say "I'm sorry it didn't work out." This was the extent of their apology for ruining my wedding day. Then she (the owner) stated that she would be happy to keep the dress and resell it for me. I was insulted. I would never do business of any kind with these people. Let alone let them sell the botched dress to another unsuspecting and trusting bride and then take a commission. No thanks Almond Tree.

I urge any bride to reconsider this shop. They are very good at reassuring you that everything will look great and they will do good work. However, they do not deliver and then leave brides in a lurch with no money and no dress.

Please for you own sanity do not buy into their scam of lower cost dresses. You will end up paying more and even worse, if you complain no dress at all and no money. Even worse having a replacement dress in less than two weeks.

Truly comforting to be able to refer my brides to Almond Tree knowing that Pam and her staff will take amazing care to give each bride special attention. I have had several brides come back and thank me for telling them about Almond Tree. The shopping experience was not only unique but they also found exactly what they wanted to wear on their wedding day at price they could afford. I encourage every bride to visit Almond Tree.
