Overall ATCC was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! The room we used (the mendocino room) was just perfect, huge windows looking out on the golf course and San Gabriel mountains, the sun was setting as we started the reception which was gorgeous (!) and all the table settings and lighting was just beautiful. Their wait staff is great, and I just had a few issues with the head of their wait staff. There was an issue with the piano early on (before everything started) and she said in front of me that we might not be able to use it for the whole reception (not cool day-of wedding!!) Everything turned out fine but I resented being made to worry (definitely was not my problem when they promised we'd be able to use that piano). My other issue was that there was another wedding going on which had extremely loud music - it's just across from the Mendocino room and they didn't have the doors closed at first which meant my poor guests were pushed into our room and out of what was supposed to be our cocktail hour because of the other wedding! (I was told that it would be just fine that there was another wedding going on and it really wasn't) Fortunately I hired an amazing wedding planner so that she was able to get that all under control and have the head of wait staff ensure those doors stayed closed.
I really enjoyed working with Kristy LaRochelle, their events manager and thought she did a fantastic job meeting with me, explaining everything, all my options, etc. I really liked her.
I would definitely recommend the venue to anyone because overall it was really the best reception EVER! :)

My husband and I searched for months for the perfect wedding venue, only to find that many of them were too far or too expensive. We wanted a place where we could have the ceremony and reception, so that guests didn't have to worry about getting to the next part of the wedding. Altadena Town and Country Club was the perfect venue - we loved the old colonial look of the country club along with the all inclusive packages they offer. Our contact person at the country club was Sandy, and she is absolutely wonderful. She knows everything that needs to be done for a wedding, so even if you don't have a wedding planner, Sandy is so informative. Sandy goes above and beyond the call of duty, and answered all of my questions promptly, met with me as soon as I wanted to meet, and made recommendations but never tried to sell me anything.
The positives of the country club is that the package (we picked the mid-range one) included the venue hire, set-up of chairs and tables, dinner (the food is amazing!), wine, champagne toast, and cake. My husband and I added a snack at 9pm and added an open bar as well. We loved the Terrace room where we had the reception, since it was just upstairs from the courtyard, and there was a patio outside where the bar was. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was served promptly and wine glasses were always full. My sister loved their chardonnay, and a lot of the guests complimented the chef on dinner. We got our wedding cake from Altadena's partnered bakery, Pastries by Nancy, and everyone loved the lemon cream cake! Everything turned out beautifully, and everyone had a good time.
The negatives are...well there are none!
I cannot rave enough about Altadena Town and Country Club or Sandy. If you've just got engaged, you should definitely check out this country club. If the building alone doesn't do it for you, then the food, price, and...

I had the Victorian room for my wedding and the venue is cozy and beautiful! Sandy was the coordinator I mainly work with. She is very helpful and easy to work with. The food was decent and well prepared. Within the wedding packages there are many different options that you can choose from, and upgrade is always available. during the menu tasting, we first tried the new york steak which we didn't like. The venue was nice enough to offer us the filet for tasting and it was tasty!
The only negative I have was during the ceremony. At the rehersal we have been told the venue's coordinator will be there to cue the music and cue the wedding party to start walking. But when it was about time to start the ceremony, none of the venue coordinators were there. Luckily I bring my own coordinator on the wedding day and she had to pick up the jobs to cue the DJ and wedding party.
Overall my experience with Altadena Countryclub is positive.

These are the reasons why I love this venue: 1. Kristy, the catering manager, was extremely friendly and helpful every step of the way. They were flexible with our needs and delivered so much more! 2. The staff did an excellent job on our special day. Very prompt and professional. 3. The guests enjoyed their meal immensely. They even have a kid's meal. 4. Beautiful gardens... well maintained and the mountain backdrop was stunning. 5. Cake is already included in their package. All in all, my husband and I have no regrets in choosing ATCC as our wedding venue and we highly recommend it!

Altadena is a lovely venue. Initially, I thought the space was small because I expected access to the golf course but even without the golf course, Altadena has plenty of space. The golf course is still there of course, just don't have access to it. We chose the Victoria Ballroom and the South Lawn. The ballroom was beautiful for our reception. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the South Lawn because the forecast was rain the whole weekend. Because we were the only event that day, we were able to use the Mendocino ballroom for our ceremony. Sandy was great to work with. She was extremely helpful from beginning to end. She advised on what's most economical based on my wants. I researched it myself and what she advised made sense. She guided the wedding party through the rehearsal and ceremony without a hitch. Our wedding went smoothly with nothing but fun because of Sandy and the Altadena staff.

The country club was beautiful and the service was great. The catering was including and the food was absolutely delicious. It was a little on the expensive side, but it was worth it. They made our special day perfect!

If you want quality and you're on a budget, you should definitley check this place out. Sandy was really nice and professional. She listened to what we wanted/needed and was very flexible. She made things happen. The food was great and she helped make sure things went smoothly on our wedding day. The only issue we had was the valet since there was another wedding on the same day (2 site locations).

I was very happy with Altadena Town & Country from start to finish. My only complaint was that my mom's purse was stolen from the dining room during the wedding ceremony (when all of my guests were seated outside) so I gave lower marks on quality of service and professionalism to reflect that issue. Otherwise I was very happy.

The Altadena Town and Country Club was the perfect venue for my relaxed, garden/nature themed wedding. The rustic elements of the outdoor ceremony space and indoor ballrooms added to a simple elegance that I loved, and based my entire wedding around. The staff there is also very friendly and professional. I met with Sandy several times while getting all the preparations in order, and nothing seemed to be off the table in terms of possibilities.
Some of the negatives that didn't end up being that big of a deal: 1) Only being able to try two entrees at the tasting. We tried the fillet mignon which was surprisingly bland, and the stuffed chicken which was great. We made the tough choice to pick the NY steak without having tasted it. Luckily, it was really good at the reception. 2) Not being able to taste any of the appetizers ahead of time. Same thing, had to pick what sounded good, and luckily again they were very tasty.
Some of the positives: 1) BEAUTIFUL surroundings! We had a blast walking around for pictures, and found lots of great areas. 2) Accommodating staff. They were prepared to move us indoors if we need to due to the weather. We added heat lamps at the last minute due to the cold. 3) Nice bridal room... although it is a bit small, I was able to have all my bridal party in there getting ready without any problem. 4) Great choices for sashes/linens/napkin colors. 5) Cake included with the package... and choices! 6) one night hotel room included in the package
All in all, all my guests loved the venue and it was easy to work with them! It is worth checking out :)

Having our wedding at the Altadena Town & Country Club was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding!
Sandy, the events manager, was so helpful to us! She worked with out budget, and always tried really hard to get good deals for us from their preferred vendors. Without her help, we wouldn't have been able to have our dream wedding there.
The food was EXCELLENT! I'm so glad we went to the tasting, which was a great experience. Everything from the appetizers to the entrees were delicious, and we had so many compliments about how our food was the best wedding food they'd ever had!
The day of my wedding it rained, which didn't allow for the outdoor ceremony that we had planned. Luckily, they helped us set up indoors and although I was disappointed at first, they made everything look beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better turnaround from what I was expecting. Also, during dinner the reception, the wait staff was so friendly and professional! Even afterwards when we cleaning up, they were friendly and helpful!
I could sing praises about our venue. I'm so glad we chose them and I recommend them to future couples!

Very organized and they have all the details worked out.
The only snag is that the coordinator you work with is not there during your event so there were all new people than the ones you dealt with to set everything up.

The venue was beautiful and in our budget! They were very helpful in last minute cancellations due to the LA fires (which the venue was at the base of). The day of There were a few glitches, their employee played our exiting music during the cermony instead of when we were intruced as husband and wife, and also the tables weren't set until about 3pm (wedding started at 4) and I wanted to put the name tags on the tables, (assigned seating) but I wasn't able to due to nothing being set up! Our food was mushy, but everyone else said it was delicious! Some of the servers weren't as great as they could have been. Over all, it was a fabulous day and I would recommend this venue to friends or family for future events!

WOW! That is all I can say after my beautiful reception in the large Victorian room at the Altadena Town & Country Club!! Elvia Patterson was our coordinator for everything there and it was magnificent! We had our cocktail hour along with a 5 hour long reception there and it was perfect! The large windows that look out to the mountains made a spectacular backdrop to our reception! Then at night, you could see the moon rise over the mountains and it was awesome! The staff at the club was great! They tended to every need I or my guests had! I needed only three flower arrangements and paid extra to have beautiful organza draped from the ceiling with twinkling lights in it for decoration in the room, the beauty of the room itself needed no help! The food was fantastic, and the package that we got was amazing! It included the service charge and gratuity which is unheard of around here! It also included our cake and a one night stay at a hotel in town! This place is worth way more than we were charged! I would HIGHLY recommend this site for receptions and there was a beautiful garden for ceremonies too!! All around a fantastic venue!

Booking a reception location was one of the harder decisions since that is where most of your money will go. We were at a point where either a location had the vintage feel we wanted, but was too expensive or vice versa. So we were losing hope on a reception location, until we finally listened to our co-workers recommendation of ATCC. It definitely was a pleasant surprise! And we booked that day!
The staff is friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend Elvia! She was our Catering Rep and was AWESOME!
We booked the Victorian Ballroom, which is the biggest ballroom at ATCC. We just loved the hard wood floors, wood beam ceiling and huge bay window that faced Mt. Baldy.
Reasonably priced for food, and linen and chair upgrades. Each with various options so you can’t really go wrong. Food was yummy and good portions. I’m sure you could find linens and chairs for less outside, but the convenience and quality was worth it.
Nice location & views. It’s just north of Pasadena among residential homes and a golf course.
Highly recommended if you like the country club atmosphere!

Both Sandy and Elvia are great! The food is good and the environment is perfect. Because every one who works there know what they are doing, no extra coordinator required at all! Definitely a good place to have your wedding.

This place was absolutely stunning. We were in the Victorian room with a large floor to ceiling window that went from one end of the room to the other, right behind our head table. I couldn't have asked for a better site to have our wedding, everything was beautiful. Our guests came up to us all night letting us know it was the best looking wedding that they had ever been to. What a great choice we made!
The open bar tab ended up being more then we expected it to, but overall it was the best looking venue we found for a great price!
GUEST

The place is good, food is good too.

The setting is absolutely gorgeous, the food was very delicious, and the service was excellent. For the price is was an amazing value. Flexibility is low since there are few dates available although you save a lot of money if you book your wedding on a Friday.
A beautiful wedding venue. The building has vintage charm and the mountain backdrop is spectacular! Plus they can handle many of the details for you, a complete package!
