The tuxes for the groom/groomsmen came from Altar Bound and we had such a great experience! Helpful and efficient staff! Things ran so smoothly for the guys and my now husband and I are so appreciative of that. I definitely recommend Altar Bound because of their quality, variety and affordability!

I know a lot of brides including myself started off at David's Bridal, because they know the name. After taking my bridesmaids there and having a terrible experience I vowed not to have my girls or myself buy dresses from them. We were not only put on a time frame but we were pressured into picking out dresses that day and buying them, along with horrible customer service. Which leads me to say that I went and visited Alter Bound. The complete opposite experience. We could take up as many dressing rooms as we pleased (in respect), we were not on a time frame, and the customer service was fantastic, they didn't pressure you at all. The girls were very knowledgeable and helpful. My matron of honor found out that she was pregnant after we order the bridesmaids dresses, she would be 7 1/2 months pregnant... her dress wasn't going to fit, they were so kind into helping us find something that was going to accommodate her and her growing belly.Needless to say I highly recommend Alter Bound for Brides, Bridesmaids , flower girl and Mother of the Bride dresses (my mom got hers there too)!Great Job Girls!!

The women who work there are very helpful. I gave them my budget and they weren't pushy at all. They didn't bring any dresses into the dressing room that were over my budget. Also, the seamstress (Amy is her name I think) was very flexible with finding times for me to have fittings. I was an out of town bride, and she was quick to fit me in.

I got my wedding dress from here. I did get it on time and what I ordered but it was a challenge!! At first they told me they couldn't guarantee that I would get my dress on time but not to worry. After much discussion I could get the dress on time. All of this hassle and stress and it turns out the dress was in stock and I got it way early. Early is good don't get me wrong but they should have known better delivery timelines instead of standard answer. They tried to convince me I needed a size bigger than I really did. This took at lot of hassle too and we still had to take it in at that size. But since I argued I got the correct size. A lot (not all) of the employees were not knowledgeable, helpful, or even pleasant sometimes. One employee almost zipped the tulle on my dress in the bag zipper because she didn't know how to zip it properly. I will say I was very pleased with the alterations person and the steaming of my dress. We tried to get the free grooms tux that came with purchase of a dress and that was so difficult that we left and paid mens wearhouse to rent one. The employee had no clue which tuxes you can rent for free or how it worked at all. My ordeal at altar bound was a million times more difficult and unpleasant than it needed to be. I had great experiences at other bridal shops but they didn't sell my dress. You will get your dress if you order it hear it's just a difficult process to deal with their employees.

I did not get my dress here, but I received excellent service at my appointment. The ladies were friendly and helpful, and there was a great selection here. I would recommend making an appointment to get great service and advice!

both i and my best friend went and tired on dresses here all of their dresses were amazing and all out of our price range the girls were great though and really tried to help us get a feel of what kind of dresses we loved

I got all my prom dresses from this store, but it was a different experience for my wedding gown. I did not like the fact that there were no mirrors in the dressing room--instead you had to walk out into a huge room (with everything hanging out!) for the girl to clip the dress and adjust it for you. I know most brides like attention, but attention makes me uncomfortable in the first place--especially when I had to walk out in front of others to see what I looked like in the dress. I did not appreciate this method AT ALL.

Wonderful people who work there. When I first went to buy my dress, they didn't care about you taking pictures, etc. but then the dress manufacturers cracked down and said they wouldn't let them sell their dresses if they allowed pictures. Whatever. They are a small business shop and have a ton of styles. I found the perfect dress and even got to visit it whenever I wanted (they store it for you). I live in Hawaii but the wedding was in Ohio and they were VERY accomodating with appointments and getting in last minute. They had all our tuxes ready and everything looked absolutely beautiful. My husband's jaw dropped when he saw my beautiful Maggie Sottero dress. They even steamed my dress and veil again last minute and had it all ready for the day of the wedding.

Firstly no on approached us and we'd been in there for 15 minutes. Then the lady was SUPER rude to us! Will NEVER go back there. It was March and my wedding was in May, so from the get go I get sneered at for having waited so long to look for bridesmaid dresses. Really? Then they talked about us while we were in the dressing room!! SO RUDE. Didn't want to help me find anything at all.

We are professionals and know not to comment about our clients in an unprofessional manner at any given time whether the client(s)are in the store or not. However, what the consultant was discussing regarding this particular group was how we could assist them since their timeline was not the recommended amount of time required to special order gowns. All clients are warmly greeted and welcomed into the store.

I ordered my dress in January 2009 and when I had my first fitting in June 2009, it went horrible. I thought I would need another dress because it fit so weird. Instead of getting another dress, they were able to take the zipper out and add a corset for a reasonable price. Instead of charging extra for new material, they used parts of the dress I did not want and that helped out alot. They were extremely friendly and helped out in anyway they could!

These ladies are awesome!! :) I got engaged in January 2009, and was married July 4,2009. I went in to the store many times and tried on bunches of dresses. Each time they were curtious and helpful. When I finally chose a dress from them, I bought the floor model. The owner offered to clean it for me for a small fee (not that it really needed it). For my fitting, the seamstress was verty tallented and afterward the dress fit like a glove. I felt like a princess everytime I walked into Altar bound bridal. If I went in with a bad mood, I always came out glowing! My brides maids dresses turned out great too! One of my brides maids was only able to get in for her fitting just one week before the wedding. They worked with her on it and her dress was done in plenty of time and it fit well. My little sister is getting married next july and has most likely already found her perfect fit from AltarBound. I reccomend it highly. Be a good customer though... it's no fun to work with grumpy, entitled people (although they will and they will still be nice to you). The girls were great professional and helpful when I asked for an opinion! Thanks Altar Bound for helping my dress shopping to be such a pleasureable experience!




My dress came in and they had ordered the wrong dress. My dress was scheduled to come in not even a month before my wedding and they did nothing but knock $40 off my alterations. The owner is well I won't even go there. The other ladies there are great and tried to help their best!




I wanted a veil, so we made appointments to go to some of the bridal stores in the area. We went to three, before we realized that everyone had the same items in stock, so that it didn’t really matter where we bought my veil in stock. My one observation is that the bigger stores, like David’s Bridal, which we drove out of the way to get to, have okay stuff, while the smaller stores have more beautiful veils. The veil I got from Alter Bound was beautiful and delicate, more expensive, but it looked bridal and not something imitation. I saw lots of ‘imitation bridal’ items.




This is a small store that I think gets overlooked, but it’s great for dresses on sale! The saleswomen here don’t mind if you only want to look at the sales rack, which is nice of them. I went on my lunch hour without and appointment and Jessica didn’t mind putting the dresses on hold until I could come back after work. They have a great seamstress who also works there.




Tons of dress options, staff was very friendly. Just wish they had told me when I should schedule fittings, not every bride knows all the details.

I got my bridesmaids dresses here. I had to order these dresses for rush delivery and though they were a little more expensive because of that, they were well worth it! All the girls loved the dresses and they were beautiful for any body type and any formal occasion. I even found a maternity dress for my matron of honor here that was so like the other dresses you ould hardly tell the difference. They were accomidating and proffesional all the way. I would definitely recommend them.

I ordered my dress from Altar Bound, because I wanted to support a local business. They had a GREAT dress selection, but the service was really disappointing. The first time I went to the store, they took all my measurements and wrote down the dress I liked and supposedly created a file for me, but when I called back to officially order, they had no records for me. I don't live near the store, so I couldn't come back in for a fitting, so I ended up having to guess what size I needed to order. I ordered the dress with just enough time for it to arrive by the wedding date, which was 5 months away. There was a slight time cruch, but they promised it would be ready in time. Two weeks later, I got a call and they had no record of what color (white or diamond white) I had ordered, which meant they still hadn't even ordered from the designer. I went into the store with three weeks left for the wedding, because the dress was supposed to be in a month in advance of the wedding. I asked the woman working if they possibly had my dress in, because I had not recieved a call and she went in the back and looked around for a while. A few minutes later she returned with my dress. They knew there was a time crunch for altering and everything, but they hadn't even called to inform me that my dress had arrived. The woman proceeded to tell me that they no longer provided altering, so I had to find someone to alter my dress at the last minute. Again, I was very pleased with the selection and my dress was beautiful, but the service was just awful. I was extremely disappointed.

Hello,I am Tasha, the new owner of Altar Bound. I wanted to write a response to this posting as well as the any preceeding it. During May of 2007 we were in transition. At the time these two weddings were in their planning/ordering stages we were not the owners. At the time we purchased the store on April 30, 2007 we inheritated all the pending orders, it was our responsibility to deliver and follow thru with any loose ends. We did the best we could with what information we had been given. Prior to our ownership Altar Bound did not have a working relationship with a seamstress of their own. This has since changed; we have 3 very talented and experienced seamstresses. I am happy to say that since our purchase of the store we have doubled in employment, inventory and size. We have also added tuxedo rental to our service. We love the business and appreciate all of our clients. We promise high quality service and a stress free process to ordering your bridal, bridesmaids, mothers', flowergirls, or prom gowns and tuxedos. It is our pleasure & pride to fully service all of our clients needs! I thank you for your honesty regarding the store's previous service, however, I guarantee all returning and new clients will see and experience the Altar Bound difference each time they are in. i liked the dress i had but i didnt like the fact i had to pick it up from the seamstress the day before my wedding. that is a little too close to the deadline.
