Alvamar Country Club

Our family has a membership at Alvamar and we attend (and hold) several events in their various banquet rooms, so it was a no brainer to have our wedding reception there! (Although you don't have to be a member!) Their food is outstanding, and the employees bend over backward to make your event absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

Alvamar was really great to work with! They were flexible and really tried to accomodate all of our requests and needs. They may not be the newest or fanciest option in Lawrence but we had A LOT of compliments - especially on the food. We rented chairs from another vendor as theirs are a bit out-dated and I wanted them to match. It looked absolutely beautiful and the venue was perfect for a wedding our size.

Alvamar was such a great place for our reception. They allowed us to be very flexible and make our reception the way we really wanted it to be. The food was great and the staff was very helpful.

Ok, nevermind that one of our images is gracing their thumbnail, nevermind that this venue is in Lawrence (which we love) and nevermind that Kursten, their wedding and event coordinator, is possibly the nicest person you'll ever work with. THIS place rocks, from beautiful outdoor scenery to amazing indoor space and cuisine. This is an AMAZING venue to have your wedding at! We've been there many times and it never disappoints! If you're looking for a beautiful, charming and spacious place to have your wedding, you cannot go wrong with Alvamar!

As a wedding photographer, there are certain elements I look at when it comes to shooting a wedding and I love the lighting Alvamar brings throughout! There are so many picturesque locations to shoot at this venue and I simply LOVE working with Kursten. She is keeps up with the times and is very open minded when it comes to planning for an event!
