I just wanted to share how great Amanda Ritchey's bridal shop is! I bought my dress from the Joppa rd. location and my cosultant was Antonio (I'm probably spelling her name incorrectly.) She picked out my perfect dress and was honest with her opinions and gave me great ideas to help me spend as less money as possible. They called the designer to get the specific sash I asked for and responded when they said they would. I had mixed feelings about buying a dress off the rack but Antonio assured me that if I were to purchase my dress off the rack, I would get the same exact dress that I would get from the designer, I would just be paying more. I felt confident that if had any questions after purchasing my dress, i could talk to them and have all my questions answered! If you live in Baltimore don't buy your dress from anywhere else and ask for Antonio. She is great!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! About 2 years ago my sister and I met Amanda at a wedding show. She took the time to speak with us about my sister's upcoming wedding. After previously shopping around for her wedding dress, my sister made an appointment at Amanda Rithcie bridal. We had the most amazing experience that I promised I would return to buy my wedding dress when that time came.

Well, two years later I made an appointment at Amanda Ritchie's Bridal and had the same wonderful experience. My consultant was amazing and she worked with me to make sure that I tried on every style I liked. I purchased a dress that day.

After purchasing my dress I called Jill at Amanda Ritchie's, in tears because I was not sure that I was really in "LOVE" with the dress that I had purchased. I had another dress that I could not stop thinking about and was worried I had made the wrong decision. Jill reassured me that everything would be okay and scheduled another appointment to try on both dresses. I went in to the appointment and worked with the manager Jess. I tried on the new dress along with the dress that I had purchased. While, both were beautiful I knew the new dress was the "one". Jess worked with Amanda and I was able to get the new dress without any issues.

I typically never write reviews but I was so impressed with the quality of service that both my sister and i received that I needed to tell other brides. You will not be dissappointed with the quality of service and committment that these ladies offer. Amanda, Jill, Jess and the rest of the staff, thank you so much for everything!

I went to the Amanda Ritchey in Fallston and worked with Jill. As a plus-sized bride, I was worried about having a hard time finding something that made me feel truly beautiful. I had ok experiences at other salons, but the service that Jill provided was just phenomenal. She was knowledgable about what would look best for my curves and never once treated me "less than" for being a larger bride. I knew after the first time she put me in "the" dress that it was almost certainly the one for me, but still went to a few other places to make sure. I went back and got the dress and they even worked with us on the price. Overall, Jill and the other girls have made the experience a lot less stressful for me and helped me to find something that is flattering and beautiful. I've had a wonderful experience with Amanda Ritchey and would recommend it to anyone. I'm so looking forward to my wedding day thanks to the dress they helped me find!

You must look at Amanda Ritchey for your dress and bridesmaids dresses! Mt initial appointment was with the owner and she could not be any nicer and attentive!! They have a way there of making you feel special the whole time. As soon as I declared my dress as the one, they had me stand on top of a platform while they dimmed the lights and played music. Everyone with me started crying. It really made the moment special! Everytime I would call to check on our dresses, someone always got back to me right away. I could not be any happier with my dress picks! After I found our dresses there, I did a little research and found that we could have probably saved some money if we would have shopped around, but at that point we just wanted to get them ordered and the service was great. Also, alterations were done through someone they recommend (she uses their shop). I felt as though she was pretty expensive with her pricing, but the qulaity of her work is top notch. Highly recommend Amanda Ritchey!!

I would recommend Amanda Ritchie Bridal to all future brides, but i would not recommend the lady that does alterations. I dont think she even touched the top of my gown, all night at the reception i had to pull the top up, it was too loose, it was hard to dance. Some of my guests asked what happened, why didn't it fit right.

I first purchased a dress from David's Bridal, after some months of looking at it, I realized I bought it more because of the deal rather than how it actually looked. I finally decided to sell my dress on Ebay and buy a new one. Many of my friends had gone to Amanda Ritchey, so it seemed like the perfect choice. Not only was everyone I dealt with polite and professional, but every time I got off the phone with them or left the store I felt more excited about the wedding. And ultimately I got the perfect dress! Anne, who did my alterations, was amazing and pleasure to work with.

Jess & Antonia at the Parkville store outfitted our entire bridal party, guys and girls, mother of the bride and flower girl. They were fantastic to work with. Especially because we had almost all of our bridal party from out of state and even some out of the country! I also ordered my bridal accessories there and they were super responsive. Loved working with them!!

I purchased my gown from the Amanda Ritchey location on Joppa Road in Baltimore. We did not make an appointment for the initial visit, but they were very accommodating when we arrived. The attendant made some great suggestions and I found my dress after trying on only 4 dresses. Their seamstress, Anne, was great to work with and made the process very easy and stress free.

The price was very reasonable and I was able to get my perfect princess gown without breaking the bank. They have a great selection and a spacious fitting...

The Staff is amazing! They were so helpful during the whole process of dress shopping. They even provided an amazing seamstress. All the ladies are so kind and caring. They even helped dress my mother and sister.

I found Amanda Ritchey via the website for the designer of a gown I fell in love with at another store. Although the original store I worked with promised me that the dress would not be discontinued before the end of the year, lo and behold it was. I contacted Jill at Amanda Ritchey's Fallston store, who looked high and low for the style I was originally interested in. Although they did not have that dress, Jill offered to transfer all the dresses they had by that designer to the Parkville store so I could try them on while my mom was in town for the holidays. On top of that, they also transferred all the dresses by another designer I was interested in as well!

I walked in to the Parkville store and had the best experience from start to finish. Jess was amazingly professional and tolerant of both me and my eight person entourage. The best was when they let me walk down the "aisle" in the store in the gown I selected and played wedding-esq music. AMAZING! I would recommend Amanda Ritchey to any bride looking for the best service without the ridiculously high price tag. I had the ideal dress shopping experience here, and every bride deserves that :-)

I absolutely loved working with the ladies from Amanda Ritchey Bridal! After my sister purchased her dress from them in 2010, I knew immediately after getting engaged that I would be pruchasing my dress from them as well - even though I currently live in Philadelphia. Their customer service is fantastic, and you definitely know that they sincerely care about making your wedding day as perfect as possible. The girls at Amanda Ritchey were so helpful and had great, honest opinions about everything - which made picking out a dress, accessories, and even bridesmaids dresses for my wedding an absolute breeze. Even Ann, their on site seamstress, was fantastic and gave me a huge hug and congrats after my final fitting right before the big day. Finding the perfect dress can be so stressful, and was what I was most nervous about, but the girls at Amanda Ritchey really make it special. I loved how personal they were (not like going to a David's Bridal, or larger chain store), and don't think my wedding day would've have been the perfect day that it was without their help. I highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful time working with Amanda Ritchey Bridal and Beauty. I purchased my gown at the Joppa Road location. The ladies who worked there really were great to work with and were a big part of giving me that fairy tale experience. They pulled dresses that I had described to them and I found the one after the 3rd dress. I ended up coming back to the store to purchase my veil, shoes, and bridesmaids dresses. My mother in law also chose her dress from there. My mother chose her dress from the Belair location. Every time I came into the store they remembered me and my name. They were ready to help us make decisions. I definitely recommend Amanda Ritchey.

Amanda Ritchey has two great locations. One in Parkville and another in Fallston. I found my dress at the Fallston location. It was the third dress that I tried on. Amanda and her staff were very excited when I found my dress. They turned off the lights and did the 'say yes to the dress' moment. It was a lot of fun. The only issue that I had with the store was that I also ordered 8 bridesmaids dresses from them (which were given to me at a very reasonable price : )) But for some reason they or their vendor only ordered 7 and it was too late to order another. The staff was very accommodating and worked with me to find a solution. That is the only reason I didn't give a 5/5 but still great locations, staff and owner.

I was so incredibly happy with the service I got at amanda richie in falston. Jill was so sweet and I loved working with her. Theyy had so many gorgeous dresses in my price range which i was having trouble finding that in the baltimore area.
Since I am in the wedding business i have heard a lot of nightmare stories about wedding dress places. My dress turned out so perfect and fit like an glove! I have never felt so beautiful!

I used Amanda Ritchey Bridal for my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and had them do my make-up/wedding party make-up. Amanda and Jill were so wonderful to work with for the whole process. The gowns are amazing that they have at both shops. Every trip i make to the place was great. They truly know how to take care of you and are so helpful with all of my questions. Amanda did the make-up for all of my girls on the wedding day. She is an AMAZING make-up artist. she made not only me feel and look beautiful but all of my 8 bridesmaids as well. I could not ask for a better shop to get all my gowns for the wedding and make-up from!! :)

We got everything from my bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses and tuxes from their Baltimore location. They were very helpful in finding me the perfect dress. They were always responsive when I called an inquired about things. I highly recommend them. They had a great selection of the couture gowns that I was looking for!

I went to Amanda Ritchey in Parkville about 14 weeks before my wedding, while I was 14 weeks pregnant. Other stores I'd called were short with me on the phone or said they wouldn't have anything for me. Jess was encouraging on the telephone and I made an appointment for the next day. Amanda was able to find more than a few dresses that would work for me within my budget and with my expanding baby bump. Of course, I fell in love with a dress outside of the price range, but loved it. The seamstress Nancy did a great job on alterations too.

After reading an article in a local magazine regarding make-up at Amanda Ritchie Bridal I made an appt for a make up and hair trial. I visited the Parkville, MD location. I did not realize the store was even there. At the time of the appt I had already purchased my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, had I not I definately would have selected this store for dresses as well. My make up and hair were flawless and I immediately booked them for myself and the entire wedding party. Not only was the owner and employees professional but they were also personal and gave the attention to detail that helped you to relax knowing that everything would be perfect for your special day and it was. We also ordered the tuxedo's from the store. My Dad's tux did not fit but he neglected to try it on until the day before the wedding. When I called the store in a panic they assured me everything would work and it did they had another size rushed to my Dad before my wedding day. I would highly recommend this store for a number of the services that they offer including make up, hair, and wedding attire. We have even booked them for make up party lessons and had a great time.

The Amanda Ritchey salon provided nothing but the best customer service beginning with my very first visit. While the boutique is small, they offer a variety of dresses and are willing to move dresses from their other location to the store that is most convenient for you. Jill, my consultant, quickly became a friend, and was by my side every step of the way. The personal touches and attention that you receive is a big deal when purchasing a wedding gown. By no means did I or my experience get lost in the masses. My dress was gorgeous and I couldn't be happier with it or the accessories that I purchased through Amanda Ritchey.

Back in December 2011, i went to Amanda Ritchie Bridal in their
Fallston, MD location (2hours from my house) and tried on a Sophia Tolli, Style # Y11134Z
which was a size 8. They proceeded to order a the same size for me
which arrived & was shipped to me. I was not measured, they based it on the fact
that i could fit the sample dress in the store - which i am cool with.
I got my dress and its was labelled a size 8 but it was far from
being a size 8. It is was more like a size 4 and the pleating was awful. It looked like a 'reject' full of defects. I called & spoke to Gill & told her the issue. She did not want to hear it & told me i had signed a contract & since the dress says size 8 that was it. I drove to the store un-announced & told her i needed her to see fitting of the dress & that i was not crazy. After trying on the dress she insisted it could not fit coz i had gained weight. I had lost 6 pounds since i
tried on the sample dress but she proceeded to tell me to produce doctors records of my weight since the first time I had tried the sample dress- talk about insult added to injury. W as told I was stuck with the dress since The bridal store would not return or exchange. I requested to try on tge sample dress i had tried before & was told it had been returned to the manufacturer which i knew was a lie. Gill advised me to start looking for another dress since i was a month away from my wedding. In anger I left the dress in the store, went & purchased a Maggie Soteri elsewhere. I battled to deal with Amanda Ritchie, had to engage a lawyer. 4 days later they told me they received a replacement dress & I told them I needed a full refund since I had purchased another dress based on their advise. They refused to refund me. & suprise suprise, the replacement dress was the loaner I had tried on 3montgs earlier, which they had lied about returning. The stress they caused me was unnecessary. I would not recommend the Fallston store to any bride, ESP if you are black. I think they deal with you based on your color. Stay away & reduce your wedding prep stress

Everyone there was extremely helpful! I described what I was thinking and the girl helping me found a sleek fitted lace type dress (which was unique to all of the other gowns I tried on). She warned me that just looking at it on the rack could be very deceiving. When I tried it on and it was stunning! It was only maybe the 5th or 6th dress I tried on and I knew that was it! On the wedding day I can't tell you how many complements I received on my dress. Even the catering group told me it was "the dress of the year." Even following the wedding, Amanda Ritchey Bridal contacted me to see how everything went! They were very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. They have a variety of dresses and can meet a wide range of budgets as well.

Amanda traveled to Frederick for makeup. She was wonderful! Everyone loved their makeup and she insisted that if you were not happy with something you tell her so she could fix it. I was last to get my makeup done and was feeling rushed. She took me into the bathroom to try and get me away from the chaos for a few seconds! She was so caring! My makeup looked gorgeous and lasted all night. I would highly recommend her.

When I first took the bride, my daughter to Amanda Ritchey, I was happy with the sales person who was there. She gave my daughter some insight into the various styles of gowns. My daughter picked her dress in one hour. This was nine months before her wedding as my daughter lives in Chicago. We did this as we needed the gown by February for her fitting.

When the gown arrived, the manager of the store did inspect it and found a flaw - this was much appreciated. However, that is where the issues began. The manager notified my daughter, and was to call my daughter back after talking with the manufacturer, but did not. The bride had to call several times to get an answer about her gown. This was just 2 weeks before she was due to come home for her fitting.

When I went in to inquire about the gown, I was told we would have it by May 27, which was the day of the wedding. This was rather upsetting and I asked to speak to the owner. When the manager called the owner, she told her I was irate (which I was not, upset yes, as being told your daughter's gown would be in by her wedding day was unacceptable). When I spoke to the owner, I asked her to call the manufacturer as she would be able to get an answer as the owner rather than the manager.

They were able to finally guarantee we could get the gown in before the date my daughter was due for her fitting, but I must tell you, the customer service of the manager at that point was abominable.

For all you brides out there who are looking for amazing service, THIS IS THE PLACE! Amanda Ritchie Bridal in Fallston provided the best service of all my vendors for my wedding! I was in 3 weddings in 6 weeks, including my own! I purchased my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses for my wedding from them, and brought my other bridesmaid dresses for the other weddings I was in there as well. I had to change my cell phone number during the time when i was waiting for my dress to come in, and i forgot to give my new number to the shop. My dress had come in and they couldnt get a hold of me because the number was now disconnected. From what i have hesrd from other brides, i was extremely lucky that the shop didnt send the dress back. I stayed at the shop for 6 weeks before i realized what o had done. I called ghey immediately and went in to get my dress. Anne, their seamstress, does amazing work and at an affordable price. I was one of the rare brides that only needed a bustle added to my dress and no other alterations! We were all shocked! However, with the other weddings I was in, I was not so lucky. I had one fitting with Anne for a dress that the 5 inches too loose in the back and 5 inches too big in the halter. The dress was made for a girl with DD boobs and I wear a 34B haha. I tried the dress on after one fitting and it was perfect. The other dress I had altered fit perfect as well. Al the women in the shop have great personalities and really make the experience special. I'm plan to go back there for any other bridesmaid help I may need in the future! If the girls at the shop ever read this...THANK YOU FO EVERYTHING! Patty

This was my second and final stop for the dress at the Parkville location. The experience was so far beyond what I imagined – in a great way! The dress I found was at their suggestion and fit my body and personality perfectly - immediately we knew it was the one and it wasn't something I had seen online or on anyone else. Once I knew this was it, they dimmed the lights and played "It's a wonderful world" so I could have my "moment." It was such a fun day I will never forget! The follow up was great as well, I was able to visit with my dress with as many shoes/accessories I could find. All of the ladies had helpful honest input and you can tell they are experienced. We used a tailor recommended by them and had the fittings at the store, the dress was fitted and steamed perfectly for the big day. Thank you Amanda Ritchey!!

I got my dress and groomsmen outfits via Amanda Ritchey. My dress was gorgeous and the guys looked great. I would recommend them for clothes. However, I tried to use them for hair and makeup as well, and every time I spoke with someone I got a different story on prices. My friend is getting married too and has had the same trouble. They always got back to me, and I even spoke with the owner, but every other vendor I spoke with was more straightforward about pricing, etc. I didn't get anything cheaper anywhere else, but I liked my look a lot better and I at least knew what I was getting. If you decide to use them i'd make sure you get EVERYTHING written down in the contract when you sign it just so you know what you're signing up for.

We didnt purchase our dresses here but I wanted to comment on what we did purchase here and how wonderful the staff is here. My daughter bought her gown in another store that had been located in Bel Air Md. because she fell in love with a certain designer. Even thou my daughter did get her dress elsewhere, they were always happy to see us and it wasnt an awkward situaton. But she did buy her veil and jewelry here at Amanda Ritchey. The girls in this shop are amazing. They are attentive to their clients and service them well. They return phone calls, they were great when on the day before the wedding, my daughter decided to change her jewelry. I placed a call and asked if the items we had liked 2 months prior were still in stock. The earrings were gone but the bracelet was still there. I ran down, picked up the bracelet, they helped me find earrings that ended up being amazing on her, even better than the originals. When my son decides to marry, this is the store I will go to.. they are truly amazing.
I have already recommended this shop to other people in my community who have children getting married.

Amanda Ritchy and all of the bridal consultants at Bridal and Beauty were more than helpful. Everyone was so helpful in making my dress selection. The wedding gowns are not in plastic which makes it easy to find the perfect dress. The staff are more than accomidating and always friendly and professional. Thank you for helping me find my bridal gown.

My stepmother got her dress from here and they did our hair and make up as well. I was very pleased with the hair. She did exactly what I had in my mind and I loved how it looked. She even made sure our hair pieces were secured perfectly.

Jill in the Fallston location helped me find my dress. She was so friendly and comfortable to work with. She really understood what I was looking for. Any time I called with questions she was very helpful. I would definitively recommend Amanda Ritchey. I also dealt with the girls at the Parkville location and they were also helpful.

I found my dream wedding dress at this bridal salon, all the women who work there are very friendly. They work with you to find the perfect dress and will work with every budget that you may have for buying your gown. I moved my dress to the Parkville store and they kept my gown stored for me up until the day before my wedding.

I used Amanda Ritchey for my bridal party's makeup. She had done makeup at my sister's wedding last June, and we absolutely fell in love with her. She is a talented, kind person who was such a blessing to us while we were getting ready for the wedding.

She is incredibly patient with those of us who have more sensitive eyes, and made us feel completely comfortable. My husband particularly enjoyed the false eye lashes that she glued on. (They lasted through most of the honeymoon!)

I would definitely recommend her to other brides.

I selected Amanda Ritchey Bridal for my wedding dress. The quality of their dresses are far beyond any other shops I visited. They were easy to work with and helped me narrow down a dress that I loved. I also purchased our bridesmaid dresses and they turned out great. Best bridal boutique around!

Better late then never, I am writing this review on bridesmaids dresses that were purchased for my Sept 2011 wedding. Amanda Ritchie was great to do business with, as far as there organization goes with getting all my maids measured and ordered and in on time was great. If I would change one thing I would change the incoveniance of there person doing alterations. After my girls picked up there dresses they were given a number to the seamstress they needed to call to arrange alterations. Ideally it would have been nice if they could of had set times ahead of time and they just could have sceduled it rather then each girl having to schedule it on there own. All in all I LOVED the dress, the service was great, and the alterations were amazing as well.

I love these girls! I bought my dress, special ordered veil, my jewlery, my brides maid dresses and their jewlerly, my mother of the bride dress and shoes and a hair piece for my mom. They are kind of expencive but you are getting quility stuff and they are so nice and helpfull. I had tried on dresses at David's bridal and nothing really laided on my body right but once i put on a dress from Amanda's I knew it was right for me! The girls Amanda have working for her are great and have great fashon sence! If i were to get mariied again, Which will never happen, I would totally go back!

Love this shop! Jess helped me find my dream dress. First one too! The staff is sweet and helped me to get everything in order for my wedding. The only snafu I had was with my shoes, but that was not their fault, it was the manufacturer/distributor and a communication error. I would recommend them to anyone though :)

I only went dress shopping once- I found THE dress but thought it was too expensive. 2 months later, I hadn't had time to go out shopping again and Amanda Ritchey called me to tell me that MY dress was on a phenomenal sale. I purchased my dress right off the rack at about 40% off. I was so happy that they knew to call me and it was also an offer I couldn't pass up. I also found my bridesmaids dresses there the very first time and they turned out amazing. Their seamstress, Anne is so talented and made mine, my mothers, mother-laws, and one of my bridesmaids dresses fit perfectly. I love Amanda Ritchey Bridal and will recommend them to any bride.

I immediately wanted to use Amanda Ritchey for my bridal make up after she did my sister in law's wedding last year. She did an incredible job then so I had no doubt she would do an incredible job for me. Everyone was stunning. However, I wish we had a little bit more time for me though - as I was of course last, but that was in no way or form Amanda's fault. I just had lot of people requesting make up! I still felt beaufitul, thanks to her! She also offered me a hand with my bridal gown and if she hadn't, I probably would have worn a wrinkled mess down the aisle! I really appreciated that.

I searched everywhere for this dress that I wanted as my wedding dress that I saw on a website. I had my mind set on this one. None of the stores that I went to carried this dress. I walked into Amanda Ritchey Bridal & Beauty and showed them a picture of the dress that I was about to give up on. Not only did they carry it, they had the exact one right there in the store! The price of the dress was more than reasonable! Amanda herself was extremely helpful and had wonderful suggestions in addition to the dress. Their seamstress "Anne" was also an amazing help! She was very flexible and went above and beyond to make my wedding dress fit perfectly! All of the staff at Amanda Ritchey Bridal & Beauty were very personable and more than willing to assist in helping you find exactly what you're looking for!

I had called in and spoken with Jill, telling her that I found a dress that I was in love with and I hoped they had it. They didn't have that specific dress (Mikaella Bridal), but they had the sister-company's (Paloma Blanca) version of it. I went in and Jill helped me pick some gowns that caught my eye. I wasn't too fond of the PB dress on the hanger, so I put it at the bottom of my list and chose 9 other dresses to try on. I found one dress that I loved and thought I looked great in. My maid of honor and the other customers in the store said they loved it and I looked great, but Jill (wonderful, amazing Jill!) looked me dead in the eye and said, "You look amazing, but is this dress really YOU?", and it wasn't. Thank GOODNESS she said something, because I am a crowd pleaser. Jill reminded me that my wedding day was a day where I could actually make things about ME. That I should pick a gown that I love, that fits my personality, and that really makes me feel like a million bucks. Well wouldn't you know, Dress # 10 rolls around, Jill insists I try it on, and...then I elbowed her in the face. I was SO embarrassed, I couldn't believe I did that! Jill made a joke about it and laughed it off, and finished getting me in the dress. I stepped in front of the mirror and...HERE COME THE WATER WORKS! I felt AMAZING, and BEAUTIFUL, and PERFECT. And those are words that I would never associate with myself. It was the gown of my dreams. I loved it. I did not, however, love the price tag. It was a designer dress made from raw silk, so I totally understand why it was priced and such, but that doesn't mean that my wallet agreed. Jill got on the phone with Amanda, and since the floor model fit me perfectly, she knocked $300 off the price and let me pay in increments. Without Jill and Amanda, my wedding day would not have been as perfect as it was. I would have not felt as good as I should have, if it weren't for Jill. I will never forget what they did for me. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, and I owe it to them. I would recommend Amanda and her team to any bride looking for their perfect wedding gown.

After combing most of Maryland's "high fashion" boutiques, Im glad to have found this quaint bridal dream. The staff was sweet, personable and accomodating. They have a wide variety of dresses and carried many of the designers I couldnt find in other places. Even the seamstress they arranged for the alterations was great. I highly recommend Amanda!

We worked with Amanda for so many aspects of the wedding and we could not have been more pleased with everything. Everyone at Amanda Ritchey is top notch and so easy to work with. Amanda took care of my bridal gown and accessories, the bridesmaids dresses, the mother of the groom's dress and accessories and the guys tuxes and everything was so easy for us. Amanda also made arrangements for a hairstylist for the day of the wedding and did our make up for the wedding, which was perfect! Amanda Ritchey's is the best place to go wedding dress shopping! I wasn't sure what type of dress that I wanted and I fell in love with one that I tried on my first visit there! Amanda was wonderful and I really respected her advice and she gave me her honest opinion! I LOVED my dress and I can't tell you how many wonderful comments I received on the day of my wedding. I also got my bridesmaids dresses there, and my mom found her dress there. Everyone looked beautiful on the day of the wedding thanks to Amanda Ritchey's!

Wow, where do I start? Amanda Ritchey and all of her beautiful employees made my wedding dream come true! Not only did they help me find my dream dress they did it with compassion. I never felt rushed or that i was just another "bride". They knew me and all of my family and wedding party by name! I almost went to another shop but Amanda's bubbly personality won me over immediately!

They have all the latest trends and a gorgeous selection of dresses to pick from, along with any other wedding day accessory you may need. I actually got everything from head to toe from Amanda's shop. My dress was breathtaking and she helped me pick the perfect veil to compliment my dress. I also got my earrings, bracelet, shoes and beautiful hair comb all from her! It was not only very convenient but even when i looked other places I still liked her selection far more than any other place.

I was not the only one completely satisfied, I got all of my bridesmaids dresses there and my girls loved their dresses. My mother, aunt, and a few other family members got their dresses from Amanda also! Everyone was completely satisfied with their dresses but more importantly with the warm, friendly personalities of all of the staff! I almost feel like I lived there and I am actually sad that I will not be spending as much time there! Haha!! These girls are great and I could not be happier with my decision to use Amanda Ritchey's bridal and Beauty.

In addition to all the wonderful things already mentioned, they also have a seamstress who works there and she is fabulous! Her name is Anne and again, my whole family and I used her. I also used her for my bridal shower dress and she is a joy to work with! They really have a great group working there. I will tell you, customer service goes a long way and these girls got it! Just a little something else...on Sundays they offer private appontments, this is what I did and it was so nice!

Amanda also did my makeup for my wedding! She did a beautiful job and made my total look come together! She also did several of my bridesmaids and family members, once again everyone was 100% satisfied.

Ask for Amanda or Jill (my 2 favorite girls) if you decide to get your dress from there! I can guarantee you will have an amazing experience just like me!

Professional, friendly, and patient. I have a type A personality and called/dropped in every few weeks to check on my orders. They always greeted me with a smile and were eager to assist me with everything from my shoes and head-band to my underclothes!!

Amanda and her staff were so helpful in finding my dress. They also had beautiful gowns for my bridesmaids. The girls looked beautiful. I would highly recommend looking for a dress there because the individual attention and customer service is great! Thank you!

What can say about the selection and quality customer service we received at Amanda Ritchey Bridal - FABULOUS!!!! Amanda has such a variety of selection and her dresses you do not see at other shops. Honesty prevails with her employees as does with Amanda. We purchased my daughter's bridal dress, brides maids dresses, and mother's dresses and were very pleased with everything. They provide the extra special TLC!

Amanda and her team are amazing! I never got to see my dress in person until it came in, as I found it online. I'd tried on several dresses in different shops, but I couldn't find one that I absolutely loved. I visited Amanda Ritchey Bridal since they were one of few bridal shops in MD that sold Paloma Blanca dresses. Amanda assured me that the dress would look fabulous on me, she ordered the correct size, and it nearly fit like a glove when it came in! Minor alterations made it fit like it was made for me. I was told that that it would only take 3-4 months for the dress to come in, and it took nearly 6, but it was perfect timing in the end.

Amanda Ritchey is an amazing person with an amazing bridal shop!

I met Amanda at a bridal show back in 2008 and went in to her shop. She personally selected gowns for me and helped me try all of them on...I tried on A LOT of dresses. She made me feel very at ease and I found a dress I loved.

A year later, after losing 50 pounds, I came back in and she helped me try on more dresses that would better show off my new figure. The first dress she chose for me was THE ONE! It was the most beautiful dress and I compared it to all the others that I tried on after, which is how I knew it was the one.

I loved the personal touches in Amanda's shop, from the service to the homey feel. I actually got ready in the bridal suite there the day of the wedding, and felt just as comfortable as I would at home.

I can't say enough about Amanda and her shop. You have to meet her and visit the shop to know what I mean.

When I initially started to look for my dress I went to MD's biggest bridal store. Their dresses were nice and the store associates were helpful, but it couldn't match the service I received from Amanda. She was able to give me that personal attention that every bride needs. I went to her store wanting a particular gown but she was able to look at my shape, and pick out the perfect gown for me, with the perfect price! I looked amazing for my wedding day and I owe that to Amanda!

The first visit I made at Amanda's was great. Amanda herself helped me find my wedding dress and helped me stay in budget. The girls were great- knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. however, every visit from there on was awful. I was supposed to have a folder designated to me with a sheet for me and each of my bridesmaids. However, nothing was ever written down! I had to call twice to make sure they ordered my shoes, because they still had not 4 weeks before my wedding. They never had any ones correct sizes or information written down. Every time I called they would say I owed money, even though we were all fully paid.... The rest of the staff besides the girls from the first day dont seem to have a clue on whats going on. Everything was very disorganized and I had to constantly check up on them. It added much more stress on me, which should have never happened!!!!!!!!

I submitted this review after I got married. I can say, I have had a little change of heart. Amanda ended up seeing this review, and immediately called me. She sounded very concerned that I had not had a good experience at her shop, and asked me what could have been done better, etc. She seemed to honestly care about what i had to say and took it to heart. I thought that said loads about Amanda as a business woman. I really felt like she was sorry I had a bad experience, and truly cared about making it as right as she could. She could have easily ignored my review and moved forward (the wedding was over, the money was paid, no going back). But, she took time to talk to me. For that, I would definitely give Amanda's another shot!!

Hands down I would buy my gown again from Amanda. I had impeccable personal service while looking for my perfect gown. Amanda couldn't have been more helpful. However, I would recommend to get it altered somewhere else.

I didn't like my tailor from the beginning when she told me that my wedding shoes were an ugly color and that I could drop a few pounds. Why I didn't leave then, I don't know. Moving forward, it only got worse and I found myself leaving in tears everytime I had to get fitted. Then, to make a long story short, the dress wouldn't zip after being altered, but I didn't lose or gain any weight.

The tailor told me that I had to lose weight or she would have to rip the lace out of the back to make the zipper work. I didn't think it would have to be that drastic. So, I left and took it to another tailor, who was able to fix it in less time and less money then my original alterations. She literally saved the day. I had gotten so nervous that three weeks before my wedding I was looking at buying another dress if mine couldn't get fixed. Everything worked out in the end.

It may have just been personal differences between the tailor and I, or we just didn't get along, but I thought I could have used some less harsh wording on my weight and maybe she could have kept the ugly shoes comment to herself.

They have amazing dresses! Everyone their is very friendly and helpful!

The staff who notified me that my dress came in wanted me to just come and pick it up rather than schedule a time to try it on. I scheduled a time to try it on, but it turned out that only a very inexperienced and unhelpful person was working alone at that time. In the end I wore a different dress.

Amanda's shops are fabulous. She carries a great selection, and her associates are very friendly and helpful. She now offers a wide range of services beyond "the dress." Check out her stores in Fallston/Bel Air and Parkville!
