Reviews for Amanda's Bridal Boutique
My greatest fear in my search for the perfect wedding gown was that once I found it something would go wrong with the order process and I would be stuck with a gown in the wrong size, length, color, etc. I've read many horrible reviews of boutiques providing great service up until the point of purchase, and then refusing to fix mistakes they make at their own cost. Many distraught brides have had to pay for gowns ordered in the wrong size, as well as the alterations necessary to fix them. It's very disconcerting to realize bridal merchants have the power to screw you over and get away with it.
I finally found my gown at Amanda's Bridal Boutique - although $1,850 was way out of my price range the gown was totally worth it. The sample dress fit me perfectly so we ordered it in the same size and I paid $120 to shorten the length by 3 inches. Amanda always remembered me, and was so sweet she even gave me a 10% discount (and not to help convince me, it was AFTER I had already decided on the gown and given her my credit card!). Of all the bridal boutiques I had visited I was most impressed by the service at this one, and actually felt like I wanted to give my money to Amanda vs. any other boutique.
But the moment of truth came when my gown arrived. Although the correct size had been ordered, the bodice of the gown was way too loose, so much that if I twisted my body at all the V-neck would open and expose my entire chest! At first we thought maybe I had lost weight in the past 3 months but when I tried on the sample gown it still fit perfectly and we knew that wasn't the case. I was stressing big time - the ordered gown was completely unwearable and would have to be altered (VERY pricey because of the material), but after paying almost $2,000 for it I wasn't exactly willing to cough up more dough to fix something that was never supposed to be a problem.
This was a sticky situation though because although it wasn't my fault, it wasn't the boutique's fault either - the correct size had been ordered and the manufacturer must have made mistakes in his measurements. Amanda wasn't in the day I tried on the gown so I emailed her explaining the situation. To my relief her response back was not to worry, she will take care of all necessary alterations at her cost. The alterations will cost her labor time as well as material cost so it's REALLY nice of her to take care of this for me.
Without a doubt the BEST bridal boutique I could've chosen!
