My wedding was two years ago and I still remember how Amanda's horrible attitude was a truly unpleasant surprise on my wedding day. She was 1/2 hour late, which ending up making me 10 minutes late to my wedding. She does know how to apply makeup, thank god, so I will give her that. She practically grabbed my veil out of my hand, which was custom made by my mother-in-law, insisting that she knew how to put it on. Well, 5 minutes after she left the veil fell out of my hair and my matron of honor had to figure out how to get it back in. If you want your wedding day to be an all around loving and beautiful memory, I don't recommend Amanda.

Thank you, bsauclair for your review and help earlier this summer! I booked Amanda Shackleton and she and her assistant were FABULOUS!!! They did the hair and make-up of my entire wedding party (5 girls) plus my mom. Our hair and make-up looked awesome all night, even after tons of dancing! In fact, our hair looked great the next day as well! I highly recommend Amanda! She is professional, caring, and super talented at what she does!

Amanda was phenomenal! After a few disastrous makeup trials, I met with Amanda. My biggest concern was looking like I had a lot of makeup on. Amanda knew right away what to do and we worked together to create a look I was thrilled with - light foundation, pale lips, darkish eyes with fake lashes.

For my hair, I asked for something loose and natural - but a style that would stay in place all night. After we worked out a great style during the trial, I showed up on the day of my wedding with newly cut bangs! She didn't even blink an eye and worked them into an amazing up-do

On the day, she was very professional and I never felt more beautiful. I'm not sure how she did it, but my makeup was essentially perfect at the end of the night - nearly 11 hours and much dancing later! I'd recommend Amanda to my best friend.

Amanda did my hair and makeup as well as my mothers for my 2006 wedding. My wedding was in Northeastern CT so I paid for her to stay overnight the night before. She showed up right on time and did an AMAZING job! Our hair and makeup stayed perfect all night and looked really great. I highly suggest her!
