Having a shuttle service through the American Parking at Ebell wedding is MANDATORY! but they were great to work with. Ebell Coordinator, Traci suggested we use the shuttle to take us, family and BP to a nearest park right after the ceremony, but the shuttle people were not aware of it we wasted about 15 min trying to handle the situation. The whole time we were trying to figure out what's going on, the coordinator was gone preparing for the reception. But once I told the shuttle attendant the situation, they handled it really quickly and drove us to the beach for family photo shooting.

Also thank my husband's dad for giving my husband such a cool car! When my husband got into an accident in his Honda Civic in '03, he got this car from his dad. Although I was thinking of renting a sedan to take us from the Ebell to the hotel first, I re-considered using DH's car. Needless to say, we were able to take SUCH cool pictures with the Monte Carlo. This was one of the best decisions we made too!!!

They handled my transportation and got me and my husband to and from our wedding. They even carried everything into the hotel for us. They are classy and really hard working. Best Limo service in California.

American Limo was great for our wedding. They arrived on time, the driver was friendly & helpful, and even made last minute additional stops. The ride was awesome. We had so much fun! We will use them again

My husband and I booked American Limousine and Parking Services for our wedding on 9/26/08. We arranged for 2 pickups from a hotel in Brea to our wedding venue in Yorba Linda. The bridesmaids, parents, and bride were supposed to be picked up at 3:45 pm and the groomsmen and groom were supposed to be picked up at 4:30 pm. On 9/26, we were ready to be picked up by the pre-appointed time; however, the limo was not at the hotel at 3:45 pm. I had my husband call the limo driver to ask where he was, and the driver was nowhere near the hotel. In fact, the limo driver did not alert my husband or me that he would be late in picking us up. He never arrived for the bridesmaid and bride pickup; I was driven to the wedding venue in Yorba Linda in my mother-in-law's car and the rest of the bridal party took a hotel shuttle to the venue. The limo was about 15 minutes late in picking up the groom and groomsmen.

We had arranged for the same limo to transport guests from the wedding venue back to the hotel from 10:00 pm - 12:00 am. My husband, my husband's parents, my parent's, and I were among the guests in the last pickup to the hotel at around 12:00 am. When the driver arrived to pick us up, he let us know that drinking glasses were thrown around the car and people were jumping out of the car while the car was in motion. He also told us that we would be charged for each glass broken (which is understandable). He was rude to my husband, the parents, and me during this time.

Upon speaking to the other guests who used the limo before us, the story the limo driver told us was a complete lie. 1 glass was broken when it was being picked up (the bottom of the glass broke off when the guest was taking it out of the holder) and the driver started to drive off while people were still getting into the limo. The driver also would not let people take our centerpieces home with them (which we had previously discussed to the driver and he was okay with guests bringing flowers in the limo), and was rude downright nasty to our guests. We had about 15 guests confirm this.

My husband worked out a deal with the driver that he would take off 1/2 hr. of service for missing the first bridal pickup (when the parents, my bridesmaids, and I were to be picked up at 3:45 pm and did not arrive for the pickup). However, he did not honor this agreement and charged us full price for his mistake.

I would NOT recommend American Limousine and Parking Services for ANY event. He was rude to my husband, my parents and my inlaws, our guests, and me and did not compensate us for his mistake in not following through with our original contract.

* 4/25/09 - I wanted to respond to the review that Lonnie Reynolds wrote. Lonnie, the bridal party was supposed to be at the ceremony site at 4:00pm, not you picking us up at 4:00pm. You never called or notified anyone that you would be running late. Traffic happens, but it should be your responsibility to show up on time or at least notify your clients that you'll be running late. People were not "jumping" out of the limo - you drove off while people were still trying to get in! Again, many folks had confirmed this. In regards to the champagne bottles, I asked that there be no champagne in the limo - you put them in there anyway. You didn't listen to our requests. Lastly - Lonnie, we were not happy with your attitude and service that night, you treated us and our guests with disrespect. When my guests wanted to bring flowers into the limo, which you didn't allow, you yelled at them. I had several guests come up to me and tell me about your rude behavior.

Lonnie, it's not about a refund. I want you to stop making excuses, own up to your mistakes, and make sure that you don't treat future clients like you treated us.

Vendor response to review

Response from Lonnie Reynolds driver for American Limo.

In response to the comments sent from Janine. My extreme apologies to you and your guests. I was running late due to a traffic accident with an automobile on fire, on the 57 and 91 freeway interchange. I contacted your fiancé to tell him my estimated time of arrival of 4pm. He seemed to be understanding about it since I was stuck in traffic and it was out of my control. I then proceeded to get off of the freeway at the next exit and made it to the hotel as you were driving off at 4pm the exact time my GPS had specified. I called him when I arrived and he said that he would be down at 430pm. When he came down he asked how everything went with you and the bridesmaids and he was surprised when I told him that I saw them driving off as I arrived. During the evening I had a group of out of town guests insist that I take them bar hopping and to a strip club which I refused to do since I was only supposed to shuttle to and from the hotel and wedding venue. They did not like the word no and said that I was hired for the entire night and I should drive them wherever they wanted to go. I showed them the contract and explained to them I was a wedding shuttle to and from the hotel only, no additional stops. They still had choice words for my response. The hotel manager told me that I need to have the stereo off as I arrived to the hotel since your passengers were playing music too loud and other guests staying at the hotel were complaining. This upset some people as I had to turn off power to the back of the limo to satisfy the hotel manager as I approached the hotel. The alternative was to drop them off down the street which I do not think would of went over to well. I also had a problem with some guests getting out of the vehicle while it was moving. There was a stop sign on the hotel property and when I would stop there the guests would think that I was stopping at the hotel when I was not.
Since they could not see forward and only out of the sides of the vehicle, they would then proceed to try and exit the vehicle as I would take off from the stop sign. When riding in a limousine passengers should never let them selves out, the driver’s job to open the doors. I told the guests several times, but in there drunken state they would not listen. I eventually had the doors locked and informed them that I would open the doors for them at the hotel. I had the limo ready for you and your husband at the end of the night with champagne and decorations. To my surprise a group of twenty came out instead and asked to be taken to the hotel. I said ok but we have to hurry and please do not drink the champagne since it was for the bride and groom. They agreed. Upon dropping them off at the hotel they broke four champagne glasses, opened up both bottles of champagne in the car which sprayed everywhere and left a total mess. I asked for some of their names but this was in vain since there were 20 drunken guests who could care less about the damages done to the vehicle. It states in the contract that there is a 100.00 cleaning fee for opening bottles of champagne in the car because it does damage to the interior. I returned back to pick up you and your husband and the last of the wedding party. I could see by the look on your faces that you were not pleased with the condition of the interior of the limo. I did not have enough time to clean it up since the last drop off was so close to the scheduled end time. I explained what had happened and apologized for the condition of the vehicle. A male guest and I cleaned up the broken glass before you got into the vehicle. You wanted to take floral arrangements into the vehicle. The contract clearly states that no floral arrangement are allowed into any vehicles due to water spillage, pollen and excessive cleaning that is required to clean up the mess left behind. The water mildews the carpet, rusts the floor and shorts out electrical equipment. The pollen causes people with allergies in a confined area to have an asthma attack or reaction. This has ruined some weddings in the past where brides have broken out in hives after being exposed to floral pollen from a prior wedding. The leaves and especially baby's breath is difficult vacuum out of the carpet. This was in your contract which you signed that you read and understood the conditions. At the end of the run I apologized to the groom and he asked if he owed anything for the damages and I said that we will call it even since I was 15 minutes late and you had 240.00 in damages and additional time. I had agreed to give him a half hour for free at the beginning of the night since I was stuck in traffic but this was before the additional time and damages. He shook my hand and seemed to be happy. I was surprised to see a negative response and had no further contact with you and your husband. Weddings are stressful events and there are a lot of factors to consider when contracting a 20 passenger limo as a shuttle for a wedding party. Rule number 1 on wedding day is not to run a tight schedule since what can go wrong usually does. Traffic is a variable that cannot be changed. I allowed plenty of time to get there on time but Saturday I was still in traffic for more that 20 minutes and took side streets the rest of the way. The most important rule that I recommend is to read and understand all contract of service agreements. The last is to designate someone to remain sober and coordinate with your guests as they depart to work as a buffer between drunken guests and a limousine driver whose first job is to protect the vehicle. We provide greeter services just for this purpose to coordinate with the waiting guests in regards to shuttle arrival time and to explain that it is to and from the hotel only, the driver will open and close the doors for you and to remain seated at all times. I am sorry that you were not satisfied with you services on your very special day and was not aware that you were unhappy with my services. I will gladly refund you for the half hour as we had agreed upon. Please contact me at 714-412-3485 at your earliest convenience. Your satisfaction is important to me and I would like to remedy the situation.

Sincerely,

Lonnie Reynolds

AWFUL!!! We got the minimum package because we only needed a ride to the church and then to the reception. We expected an 8:15 pick up for a 9am ceremony about 2 miles away. The plan was to put the dress on at the church. 15 minutes after the limo was supposed to arrive I was involved in a 5 minute 3-way call with the dispatcher who was talking to the driver on his cell. The driver was insisting that he was in front of my house and he had been there for a half hour. Finally, after going back and forth with the driver (who apparently didn't think to knock on a door or call?!) I asked her to tell him to go and physically look at a street sign! She came back on the line and told me that he was on a totally different street. Duh. When he arrived, I was in my dress on the curb waiting. With no apology, his defense (which he said about 6 times) was that "The GPS said that I was there". He was on a different street name and at a different address!!!! Then he said, "Before we can head out I'm going to need to get an imprint of the credit card." My fiance had arranged the service, so of course I didn't have the card. At this point, we were 15 minutes from the ceremony starting. My bridesmaid, my mother and I were all yelling at him- he was seriously the stupidest person ever! We told him we didn't have the credit card and he said that was an unbreakable rule. He finally CALLED the office to see if he could get approval for taking another credit card. Mind you, he didn't do any of this while on the road. We were still standing on the curb. He ran the authorization on my bridesmaid card, waited for approval, then drove off!! 2 of my buttons popped off the dress from me sliding into the limo- and I laid horizontally the whole way there so My silk dress woulndn't be completely wrinkled.

When we arrived, I literally ran up the stairs of the church, into the side door, put on lipstick and walked down the aisle, totally frustrated and totally wrinkled.

Then on our way to the reception he asked my (law enforcement) husband "Do you want to get there fast?" My husband said, "just take it easy and drive normal"?? We had no idea what he was talking about until he started taking side streets the ENTIRE way to the reception instead of taking PCH. What would have been a 20 minute ride took 35 minutes. We felt like we were totally trapped in the back of the limo from hell.

Beware of this service!

BEWARE!!! It is three days before my wedding and Lonnie just cancelled on me. Told me that the ivory-colored Escalade that I reserved was "red-tagged by the CHP" and went on to say how ironic it is that the manufacturer is no longer in business, etc., etc.

The horrible thing is the way I found out - all they did was send me a revised invoice. I couldn't tell what was different but then I caught it - the vehicle was changed to a black Hummer. Good thing I checked and double-checked the invoice!

When I said that I didn't want a black car on my wedding day, he said, "fine, we'll just cancel." Nice customer service, huh?

So much for a contract. I'd stay FAR, FAR away from this vendor!
