Ken was fantastic to work with and helped us have a great, great dance party. I so appreciated that Ken was very respectful of how we wanted the evening to flow and did a great job on the front end.

I am 23 and my husband is 25. We worked on our play list for 3 days to make sure its all the songs that we wanted, most of the songs we wanted had to be downloaded. On the day of the wedding the DJ told me that for some reason our songs are not showing up so he started playing his own songs which are TYPICAL WEDDING SONGS FOR A 60 YR OLD COUPLE!!!! I WAS FURIOUS! my husband who is never angry was MAD AS HELL! music is his thing and on our wedding day, the music that was played was CRAP!. the DJ even played break-up songs! REALLY??? WTF!. the dj booth looked awesome but thats about it. It was nothing but LAME TYPICAL WEDDING SONGS. we are the first to get married in our generation among family and friends, NONE OF THEM WILL HIRE THIS SERVICE AGAIN! what makes it worse is that my guests hated the songs too, now they think we have the nastiest taste in music!. UGHHHHHH

Absolutely amazing! I knew my wedding day would be the best day of my life, and Ken was able to enhance that with his unique creativity. His music selection included hours and hours of uninterrupted fun. The photo booth service was phenomenal and it encouraged guests to be joyful and exuberant. Overall, it was an incredible experience; I would recommend his services any day.

Ken was referred to us by my father who had known his mother in business. I knew nothing of his services prior to meeting him. The first time my husband and I met him we signed the contract and gave our deposit right away. We knew at the first meeting that Ken was going to be our DJ for our wedding. We couldn't have been more pleased with the whole evening and how we and our guests had such a great time not only with the music he played, but his energy and knowledge to entertain the very diverse crowd that we had at our wedding! omg... First off Ken From amp Dj was AMAZING... he help with everything when it came to me not knowing alot about what music choices i wanted... he works with you every step of the way... Ken had the dance floor going all night all the way to midnight... And Bri was working the photo booth that was a huge hit too.. Bri worked very well with all my guest and me at the end off the night... Amp Dj will be the ony Dj services we will use in ever for anything... Must have dj at everyone wedding...

We used AMP for our photobooth rental and uplighting at our wedding. Ken was wonderful to work with and very responsive. The price for both was also very reasonable and our guests loved them. Especially all the props that they brought! One of our friends who is getting married in September actually booked their photobooth for their wedding because they loved them so much! The only thing that stunk was that the photobooth camera broke at one point, but they did a good job of getting it back up and running quickly. As for the uplighting, it was beautiful. It really added the touch of "glow" I was really looking for and I am soooo happy I went with it (we used the amber uplighting). Overall great company and I would recommend them to anyone looking for photobooths or uplighting at their event.

Ken Murphy is an outstanding professional!! I couldn't have asked for better service. Everything was completely top notch and several people asked me during the night "wow! what a great DJ, where did you find him!?" Ken always answered every question I had, was completely flexible when it came down to song requests, and during the night of the wedding he was flawless. His service was beyond my expectations!

Ken did an awesome job at our wedding and the dance floor was filled till the end at midnight and people still wanted it to keep going! He is very professional and was helpful with the planning process. Also, everyone loved Ken's set up and extra lighting because it more than just a table with a black table cloth, it looked professional. Not only was Ken a great DJ, he was extremely organized during the reception and got everything going and kept things on schedule such as all the entrances, dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss etc. He also works well with the hall and communicated to make sure everyone was on the same page. OMG this was our 2nd marriages and I am so fortunate to have met my new Love of my life! We both love dancing and our DJ Ken was one of the best things I paid for at my wedding! The dance floor was full all the time! Ken is a great guy and I highly recommend him for your wedding or event.

Ken is a phenomenal DJ! His sound and lighting are some of the best out there, and for the services he provides, his pricing beats anything in the area. He is great on the microphone, yet stays focused on your event rather than himself. His online system makes the whole process really easy. You have to check him out!

Ken is very outgoing and will respond to your emails very quickly. He was very easy to work with and he went out of his way to make sure we got what we wanted. The client login is user-friendly and gives you a lot of control with your song selections. I really enjoyed being able to customize our music. Ryan was our DJ and did a great job. He checked in with us at key points throughout the night and controlled the tempo of the reception. The dance floor was filled the entire night.

We included the photobooth in our package, and it was unfortunately the biggest disappointment of our wedding. There were software issues for several hours keeping it from being functional. When it did work, some of the images were really dark but some came out perfect. If the photobooth is important to you, then I strongly suggest spending a few extra bucks to use a vendor who specializes in them.

I felt at ease working with AMP DJ Services. I am very particular about music, but for our wedding I had a hard time knowing what the right songs were to play to keep guests dancing. Rather then being picky about music, I just left it in Ken's hands and everything was great - our dance floor was packed the entire night. Ken was also incredibly responsive - I'd send an email and he'd answer my questions typically within the next few hours. This was really important to me since I was juggling so many things while planning our wedding. We got so many compliments on how fun our wedding was, and I owe a large part of that to Ken. Ken was so helpful and prompt throughout the entire planning process. He went out of his way a few times to meet with us and he offered many suggestions to make sure the wedding was perfect. On the day of the wedding he was professional and he made sure everything was on time and he kept everyone in the loop on what was going on. The music was great, he played everything we requested and even accommodated some unique requests during the night. We also had Ken do the uplighting and it turned out beautiful! We received many comments from guests about his stage setup and how cool everything looked. The only advice we have is to not use the starry night lights in a tent. We thought they would work but because the tent is so bright white and because we had other uplighting, you could barely see it on the ceiling. We were disappointed but this isn't Ken's fault (we don't think he has ever used the light in the tent before). This is the only reason we gave a '4' under the 'Value' rating. If we had known we would not have spent the money on it. Other than that, everything was perfect. Ken is a fantastic DJ and vendor to work with during your wedding planning!

Our wedding was amazing thanks to AMP DJ services. The DJ Ryan was great! always had people on the dance floor. Also the up lighting they provided was breath taking! it really made our reception room look amazing! We also had the photo booth which was a great time! AMP did a wonderful job at Pheasant Run Resort for our wedding a few weeks ago. We had AMP drape and upright the stage where we had our sweetheart table, we also hired them for photo booth. The lighting and draping were beautifully done; the combination really showcased us at our table with a soft glow! The photo booth was super fun with enough props to make each photo as bit different. The attendant was very nice as well. Overall great job AMP!

I hired Ken Murphy from AMP dj services to be our entertainer for our wedding. I really liked that I was able to go online before the wedding and create my own play list, and no play list, and do all the planning online. It was very convenient for me, and I was able to check it off my list. The day of, Ken kept us aware of what was going on and the order of things, so there was never an awkward pause or moment. We played the newlywed game which our guests raved about, said it was hilarious! He also made us a large monogram for the dance floor which was really cool. He checked with us about particular songs that were requested, which was very nice, and kept us in the loop. He played the music style that I wanted, and overall I think he did a great job! I would recommend him!

We had Ryan for our DJ and he did a great job! He worked very well with my husband and I along with all of the other vendors at our wedding. He along with Ken, called a few days before to go over our music website to make sure we were all on the same page for how we wanted everything to go, and they sure delivered :) He was great with the ceremony, cocktail, and reception music, along with all other announcements and introductions. He really made sure we were happy and he kept everything on schedule. We did have more of an older crowd at the wedding so Ryan played lighter/older music for them earlier in the evening, and then when most of them started to leave and more of the younger crowd was left, he played more dance/party music which was perfect! We got a lot of compliments on the music choices. The uplighting they put up at our venue was absolutely perfect! It was just how I wanted it to look, and it totally set the party mood :) My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with AMP DJ and we would recommend them to anyone we know getting married!!!

My daughter Jennifer and new husband Richard hired DJ Ken Murphy for their wedding. The dance floor was filled the entire evening whereas I was getting comments that they have never been to a wedding before when there was no "lull"! Ken rocked that wedding!!!!!! We loved Ken! He was the best for day one. My aunt is a wedding planner and recommended him for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. On our day he was awesome. The crowd thought the noise for the music was too low so we went to him asked him to raise it and it wasn't a problem. One of our tables would only dance to a few songs so we requested them and Ken put them on right away. I've already recommended him to a few people and hope we can use him again.

Ken did such an amazing job at our 5/27/2012 wedding reception! He was so great throughout the planning process and always was timely in communications with us. He kept the entire dance floor going the whole night with songs that pleased all ages. We agree with the WOW!!!! Ken of AMP DJ Services was our DJ for our daughter's wedding on May 27,2012. We would highly recommend Ken and AMP DJ Services for any special event. Ken was extremely professional, flexible, and most importantly, highly entertaining!! He got the reception off to a fantastic start, and kept it at that level all evening. Ken had everyone of all ages up on the floor, having a great time. he coordinated the photographer and the schedule of those special moments to perfection. He did all this while keeping the attention on the bride and groom! We would also highly recommend the uplighting, as per Ken's suggection. It really brought out a whole new element to the room. We would also highly recommend the photo booth. Brianna ran the booth, and really helped everyone get the most out of the booth. It was a huge hit with everyone.

Ken listened to our music preference and chose perfectly for music during dinner and kept our guests dancing for over 3 hours. Our guests had so much fun that they began an encore "One- More- Song" chant at the end of the night... and he did.

Ken Murphy with AMP DJ Services was the DJ at our wedding reception on May 12, 2012. He was fantastic! My husband and I were living out of state while planning our wedding in Chicago and Ken was extremely helpful and very easy to get in touch with. He was flexible with our busy schedules and made out-of-state wedding planning much easier than we anticipated. At our reception, he was very organized and helpful. He coordinated everything with our photographer and videographer and made sure our reception moved along so our guests wouldn't lose interest. We had guests of all different ages at our reception and one of our biggest concerns was that the music would only cater to one age group at a time. Ken was able to keep all of our guests on the dance floor all night! He played music that everyone liked and could dance to, and our dance floor was packed the entire night. We received many compliments from our guests about Ken and what a wonderful job he did. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received from Ken, both during the planning process as well as the night of our reception. We would highly recommend him!

Ryan from AMP DJ was a great addition to my wedding. He read the room and kept the party going just as he said he would. He was very easy to work with and very professional. I really liked the way he handled the entire night. When we decided to keep the party going for an additional hour than planned he was very accommodating. Ken was a wonderful dj at our wedding on april 28th we couldnt ask for anyone better then him... he had people on the dance floor and if there was a song that he put on and noone was dancing he change it right away.. everyone at our wedding said how good of a dj he was and all if i ever need a dj again for something i will difft be calling him again Thanks Ken for everything

Ken was easy to work with, and responded quickly with our questions as we planned our reception. Our guests responded very positively, and he responded to their requests immediately! It was great working with him!

Amp was the best choice I made for my wedding! The DJ Ryan was so awesome, he met with us and we were able to personalize our entire event, which is just what I wanted! If I wanted to make any changes, he was always just a call, text or email away. Plus I got the most for my money with them compared to other companies. Best choice we made! Ken was the DJ for my wedding on 11.11.11 and I can not thank him enough for everything that he did! All we can say is WOW! AMP DJ Services supplied the DJ, photo booth, and up lighting for our wedding and it could not have gone better! Ken the DJ kept everyone on the dancefloor all night (even our grandparents!). He played everything we wanted for all the dances, bridal party, and of course dancing! Ken was my DJ on October 22,2011for my wedding and he was fantastic. I couldn't ask for a better DJ. He was on top of everything and was on Que with all the music. He played a wide range of music and played music that people got into at any age. He really knows how to read your guest and what to play to get them dancing all night long:) He also was a wonderful announcer. Spoke very clear and just has the right voice for it. I was so very pleased with DJ Ken, exspecially because I didn't even give him the check list of all the songs and the wedding parties name intill 10min before we started. I thought for sure he might mess-up or get confused, but he was above and beyound on his professionalism and his love for what he does. I would strongly recommend Ken for dj services for any event. He is WONDERFUL!!!!

We used AMP DJ Services to provide a photo/video booth for our reception. Ken (owner) was great at communicating with us, and was very professional with his presentation. All of our guests commented on how much fun it was. Masks, wigs, hats, etc were also provided for our guests to use. We would absolutely recommend contacting AMP DJ for your wedding.

Ken was the DJ at our recent wedding, although the label of DJ does not do him justice. He was absolutely fantastic! Ken was more than just the DJ who played the music for the ceremony and reception; he was also the person who kept the evening moving along. During our first meeting, Ken talked about how he would make sure he kept in constant communication with the Reverend, photographer, and caterer. At the time, we didn’t realize how important this was. However, during the whirlwind of the evening, it was a huge relief to know that Ken was keeping the order of events on track (from the toasts to the first dances, etc.). Ken also checked in with us at several points throughout the evening to make sure we were doing alright and if we needed anything. When a glass broke on the dance floor, it was Ken who took the initiative to sweep it up. He truly is a team player and has the skills and personality to get along with anyone and take the lead when necessary. While Ken is truly professional, he is also polite, charismatic, and concerned and attentive in making sure that all the guests enjoyed themselves. Ken came highly recommended to us and we could not have been happier. Amp DJ services did an excellent job at our wedding! We were very pleased with their communication and ability to switch venues at literally the last hour (my wedding venue got flooded out). They were professional and a pleasure to work with!

I was pleased for the ceremony portion - that was perfect. Ken is professional and prides himself on quality customer service but he was late for our initial meeting - due to an apparent communication error -- which was fine -- it happens. However, we sent a playlist to him for different parts of the reception -- and the revised playlist was acknowledged. When it came time for the bouquet toss, the songs requested were not played (Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and "Move Bitch" by Ludicrious) in fact the songs that were requested for the garter toss were played instead ("Highway to Hell" by AC/DC & "Another one Bites the Dust" by Queen). I thought the bouquet & garter toss was the simple part of the evening -- I still don't understand how you can get that mixed up. The songs for the fireworks were not played either that were requested on the revised listed - of which was previously acknowledged as well. I also requested an All Couples Dance -- which did not happen. This was an older crowd (a second marriage) - so my daughter and I stated to play older music (classic rock & slower). Unfortunately, other than the bride & groom dance -- there were no slower songs for the evening -- it was all directed to the younger crowd. Other than that he was fine -- I understand hiccups will occur -- but I found those to be major and in my opinion for the amount paid there should of been no mistakes of any kind especially since Ken prides himself on 5 star service and performance. (NOTE: The play list for the bridal bouquet / garter toss never changed. This was put into website and email. The songs that changed and that were revised -- were: (1) the ceremony we changed that around -- of which you played perfect, (2) songs to be played before the ceremony and (3) the songs for the fireworks. These songs were changed, submitted by email and on website. All other songs for the wedding that we picked out remained the same.) There is an old saying -- when in doubt ask! But seriously, common sense plays a role as well -- Single Ladies vs Highway to Hell for bouquet toss. That's sort of a no-brainer if you ask me.

Ken is a pro. In addition to being the DJ and MC of our wedding reception, he also provided the audio equipment and setup for our ceremony. When we first started out the process of planning our wedding, we had many questions concerning the music and reception timeline. Ken offered his experience and opinion of what might work best for us. We also had many requests such as pre-ceremony music, event timing, setup and lights, all of which Ken was happy to make happen. He was quite flexible, even up until the very end. He was always in communication with us, and his web tool made for easy organization. It made for a great team effort to turn our vision into reality.

The best measure of success though was the reaction of our guests. All night and days after the wedding, people kept telling us how much they enjoyed our DJ, and how great he was. We played Ken's version of the newlywed game at his suggestion, and it was a hit with everyone. He tried to work in everyone's music requests, while making sure to play our requests and keeping the dance floor booming all night long. We and our guests were also impressed with his mic and MC skills. Unlike how so many other DJs can be, he never came off as cheesy.

For a wedding, a DJ / MC is integral too keeping the party going and flowing smoothly. Ken understands this, and is a perfect example of what makes for a great DJ. We thank him for contributing to the rocking success that our wedding was!

The service of this DJ was above and beyond all expectations of an excellent DJ. We were in frequent contact via phone and e-mail with responses within 24 hours. He was very flexible and came through with my request of a projector the day before the wedding with no complaints and was not a problem for him.
The website for the DJ, to enter our info about the reception place, the songs, and our timeline for the night was so easy to use and put everything in an organized matter. I especially liked the timeline section to keep a schedule and really know how much time needs to be spent on the events of the night. I liked how there were song reccomendations and an area to pick songs to be played for sure, songs to be played if there was time and songs not to play.
Ken Murphy is a super nice, caring, understanding, and patient DJ/person. He was so helpful at the wedding with organizing our bridal party for the introductions. He helped us make sure we were aware of the time and made sure we got to do the things we wanted on our timeline in an non-pushy manner.

Ken DJed  in our wedding it was an outside wedding and inside reception. It was awesome how he accommodated putting his equipment outside for the ceremony with mics and music. I loved how quickly he moved from outside to inside!! He did this all on his own! He had a playlist for every age! From the young to the old! Asking for requests was so easy for all the guest to approach him with. His pre wedding communication with us was surprising as he was super detailed and eager to learn what we wanted him to play during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance. Our playlist ranged from DOO WOOP to 40's and 50's music to MODERN DANCE and even BACHATA, SALSA, and MERENGUE and he was able to provide these with no help from us! Which was something less to worry about. I would highly recommend him to any one! WE LOVED HIM!!! I'm keeping his card for our next event!

Kenny/AMP DJ was amazing at our wedding this weekend 4/23/11! He drove up to Geneva National in WI and was early and all set up (indoors and out) by the time we arrived! He was extremely organized, prepared and communicated well with the photographer, cordinator and me and my hubby through the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception! Kenny stuck with the no play list and requested that guests check with my hubby and I prior to playing certain songs! He kept guests of all ages and music styles dancing the entire night! He did so well that our groomsmen paid to have Kenny stay an extra hour. Everyone at our wedding said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that's a huge compliment coming from our guests! I highly recommend Kenny and AMP DJ service! Ken Murphy was AWESOME!!!! He provided the DJ service for our wedding reception on 3/19/2011. He was very professional and even put up with our crazy families requests all night long. Ken Murphy was my son and daughter-in-law's DJ at their wedding this past Saturday. Ken Murphy of AMP DJ Services was wonderful! He provided music and a lapel mic at our ceremony so all of our guests were able to hear what was said at the alter.
