AMS Entertainment

AMS provided the DJ for our November wedding as part of the "Hummingbird Package" at Mark West Lodge. Our DJ was Kristina Baker, and both she and Frances (who we never met, but did exchange emails with) were fantastic. We met Kristina a couple weeks before the wedding to go over the music we had picked out and our plan for how the wedding day should go. She was sweet and friendly, and the three of us were joking around by the time we left that night. On the wedding day there was one tiny mix up (we sent in CDs before the wedding, some to be played as dinner and cocktail music and some to be played with the rest of the reception music, and somehow it all got labeled as dinner music) but Kristina was quick to fix it when we realized what was going on, and no one else even knew anything was 'wrong'. Everything else went perfectly smoothly, just as planned! Kristina was on top of everything, checking in with us periodically to make sure the volume was okay during dinner, and to give us a heads up about what was next (she gave us a 'warning song' so we'd know when to come cut the cake, and made sure the timing was okay with us).

I feel like the words “thank you” don't even come close to showing our appreciation for all that Alexander did to make our wedding the evening of our dreams. Simply put... Alexander is awesome! He helped us flow through everything right on schedule and kept the dance floor packed… a sure sign of a good time. We had so much fun we want to get married again!!! Thanks again Alexander and the entire AMS team.

I LOVE AMS! Joe and Frances were so helpful to work with and made planning so much easier. They have so much music and the online planner was super easy to use. Joe and Frances communicate so well and so quickly and you get e-mail reminders as the date gets near. Fantastic!Colin was our DJ and he was the best. He made suggestions, played what we wanted, didnt play what we didn't want, and helped out with the timing of the entire event. We had the best wedding ever! We also used AMS for our open-air photobooth which was a total hit!!! Frances even brought hats and funny accessories to use and there was always someone in it. Plus you get a CD with all of the photos after!I can't say enough good things about this company and about Joe, Frances, and Colin. USE THEM! I can't say thank you enough!!!!

Hands down this place is probably one of the best vendors I worked with. The customer service alone sold my husband when we had started researching music vendors and since we were so pleased with the service we didn't need to create a selection of djs to choose from. They handled the music for the whole wedding from ceremony to reception and the dj that we had, Will, was AWESOME! When we first chatted with Will on the phone we instantly loved his personality and enthusiasm for our wedding that it just got us more excited too. The wedding went off without a hitch and Will was such a great MC and keeping things on track. And finally (the most important part) they're very flexible and helpful in working with your wedding budget. Since weddings are so expensive now, it's hard to get what you want for a reasonable price. AMS gave us exactly what we wanted and we stayed within the wedding budget. Thank you Frances & Will! Will you totally rocked! I've never seen any dj be able to get EVERYONE on the dance floor, you're AMAZING! Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams! :)

AMS was all around amazing for our wedding September 2011. Planning from a distance was no problem, Frances and Joe were both wonderful in answering questions and providing us with all the information we needed. Melissa was our DJ and she was better than we could have ever hoped for, always checking in with us and making our night go seamlessly smoothly. We also did the photobooth from AMS which was a definite hit, all ages of our guests loved it and AMS provided me with all of the digital files! I couldnt have been happier!

We didn't want a DJ too involved in our wedding (MCing every little thing, being really cheesy). And Colin at AMS definitely delivered! He did exactly how much we wanted, suggested things that we hadn't thought about and everyone had a great time dancing! Very professional and so great to work with!

We hired AMS for our wedding in Sonoma. I cannot say enough good things about AMS. Our DJ Alex was fantastic. He kept everyone dancing all night. We also used AMS for our photobooth which was a HUGE hit. Our friends & family keep saying how much fun they had at our wedding and I know having AMS as a vendor was a big factor for that. I highly recommend them!

I thought AMS did a wonderful job on our wedding!! They provided both DJ services at the reception as well as live musicians (trio of guitar, cello, and violin) at the ceremony and cocktail hour. Both services were awesome! They were very responsive with us even from the first inquiry about using their services. I especially liked the online planning tool they used to fill in details about the wedding. On the site, you can choose songs to play, songs to not play, list events you want the DJ to announce, choose songs for the ceremony, etc. The site made it very easy to update details and plan with AMS. They also provided the photo booth at our wedding which was a complete hit. Everyone was in the photo booth all night, and since it is an open photo booth, you can get tons of people in each picture and spectators can watch while the photos are being taken. Further, they give you a sweet photo book of every photo strip at the end of the night so the bride and groom have a cool keepsake. I would recommend AMS to anyone!!!

Everyone at AMS was wonderful, and Chris (Our DJ) was simply perfect! Everything went exactly as planned and Chris worked very hard to make sure that things were as they should be. Thanks AMS!!!

We could not have had a better DJ. Melissa was very communicative right from the start, and was willing to meet us later in the evening then normal because my husband and I have busy schedules. She was incredibly professional, and a wonderfully fun woman to work with. She even shared a little bit about her own life, which we truly appreciated. Melissa was amazing - she picked perfect songs and knew exactly how to meld them together. She adjusted the musical selections throughout the evening, going with the energy, and adjusting as that energy moved along. We were hopelessly lost about our music, and she was very patient with us, and she was willing to make suggestions for us. We told her we liked music from Glee, and we just assumed she'd play the original songs, not the actual Glee versions. Imagine our surprise when we heard our favorite obnoxious TV show, songs and all. It was awesome! As the night progressed she caught on that our group enjoyed sing-a-longs, and continued to play them through out the night. She was incredibly helpful and supportive, not just for the music, but for any other random odd and ends that needed dealing with. It was a perfect night coupled with the perfect music. I would recommend AMS Entertainment to anyone who wants not just "wedding music, ceremony music, dance music", but who wants their own personal and unique musical experience!

Frances was our DJ and she was fantastic!

AMS did a fantastic job at our recent wedding. From first point of contact to contract signing to the wedding night, the staff was nothing but professional, courteous and responsive. Frances (office staff) was patient and persistent without being pushy when we were still deciding what vendor we'd go with, and then Alex (our DJ) was good humored, relaxed, flexible, and put us totally at ease on our wedding day. Every song we wanted- he played. Every piece of direction or request we made- done. Changes or delays in our timeline- no problem, he'd make a suggestion about how to handle it but always stressed that it was up to US to decide how our night should go. We got so many compliments on our music choices and I credit much of that to Alex and his impeccable sense of mood, flow, and timing. I wish we had an excuse to hang out with him every weekend! I would wholeheartedly recommend AMS (and especially Alex!!) to any other Northern CA couple.

Our DJ William Dhanasunthorn was an absolute delight! His impeccable timing and professionalism made everyone at ease. The most memorable part was my dad danced the entire evening. Our eyes were wide opened to witness this miracle. Never knew my dad was such a great dancer! Thanks for making our day magical.

It was such an easy process to select the best songs for your special day. Melissa, our dj, was friendly and checked in to make sure we were happy with the flow of the music.Heather

AMS was great to work with. Their communication was prompt and thorough. It was easy to schedule and book. I was able to hand pick all the music I wanted played. Our DJ Melissa Woerle was the best! She kept in contact with me prior to the wedding to make sure we were planned out and set for the day. She had such great, fun energy at the wedding- but kept it perfectly in tempo with the intimate feel of our smaller wedding. She communicated with me throughout evening to make sure I was getting just what I wanted, and kept the event flowing smoothly and on schedule. I would book AMS again, and request Melissa. I was very happy with the service provided and throughout the experience of working with them.

I absolutely loved working with AMS! The DJ I worked with was Alexander. He was amazing! Meeting with them was fun and easy. I would always be a stressful bride walking into a meeting, but I'd come out calm with peace of mind, knowing that they were going to make my wedding day as perfect as can be. Everyone at AMS is very friendly, and they are all professional. It was so much fun working with them. One of my slip ups happened to be when I scheduled two meetings at the same time. One of them being with AMS and the other with our wedding videographer. I immediately called AMS, and they were so flexible, and assured me that it was no problem. I did feel incredibly bad for having made a simple mistake like that. I even had a last minute change the night before the wedding, and at 1am I was sending an email to Alexander, praying that he received it before the wedding. Sure enough he had, and everything went smoothly. AMS is great. I loved working with them, and I would recommend them to anyone. I wanted a DJ who was very low key (it was almost as if he wasn't even there), and that is what I got! If you are looking for a DJ who is very animated and you want to participate a lot, I know they have DJs like that as well! Finally, not to forget their song choices! There were so many to choose from, and if they didn't have a song you wanted on file, they would get it for you. Also, their system for choosing your song list was so easy to use, and I had so much fun going through songs, and adding them to my list. Thanks AMS! I will keep you in mind for any future events!!!

we couldn't be happier with the service received and our DJ (Alex @ AMS) for our wedding.Totally Cordial, did exactly what we wanted, and was like he was not even there during the wedding. (I mean this in the best way possible, where he chimed in during the 3 or 4 times he needed to and the music did the rest of the talking)Our wedding was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT and AMS, specifically Alex, was a main part of this going so well.I would give one suggestion that it has a lot to do with vendor synergy. Our DJ, William, from AMS Entertainment did a wonderful job with our wedding. Everyone in attendance loved the music and he did a great job with directing the flow of the wedding timeline without being obvious or overbearing to my husband and I, or our guests. It was much appreciated to have such a professional vendor since I had planned the event myself and was able to forget about all the details and rely on the DJ to fulfill his part of the job.The music selection system that AMS uses online can be frustrating in the planning. My advice would be to keep in contact with your DJ or a representative of the company and they can help you out with the selections you are looking for.

We just can't say enough good things about AMS! Everyone we dealt with was very responsive and took the time to find out what we wanted; from our ceremony musicians, to the office staff, to the DJ! And boy did they deliver! The ceremony music was flawless - (they even worked in some Beatles music) and Our DJ in particular was exceptional - she almost acted like a day-of coordinator working together with our officiant, videographer, ceremony musicians, etc. she checked in with us regularly and made sure we were happy with how things were going, released people from their tables to go to the buffet and even kept an eye on the time line regarding speeches and the bouquet toss! When she was playing music she did a great job of reading the crowd and playing perfect songs, but she didn't do any unnecessary talking or commentary. Really wonderful company to deal with all around and they did a brilliant job of our wedding.

AMS is the best!!Alexander was our DJ and he helped with music selection, timelines, he MC'd and even helped the caterer by excusing tables to go to the buffet. We cant say enough about AMS. They are 1st class and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank You!!!

AMS did a fantastic job with our wedding! Melissa was our dj and went above and beyond for us. She played the music we requested and was very unobtrusive. She also checked in with us throughout the evening to see if we needed anything or if she could get us drinks, etc!! She was so sweet!!With the online planner we were able to request the music we wanted and AMS did a great job of finding songs that weren't on their list. They also worked closely with us on our ceremony music. We didn't have electricity at our ceremony site, but we had specific music we wanted played. At the last minute our generator rental fell through and AMS and Melissa worked to make sure we would have the music we wanted. EVerything went off without a hitch!We also used AMS for our photo booth rental and it was definitely a highlight! Our guests absolutely loved it and are still talking about it. The prop basket is a must! We didn't think we wanted it at first, but I'm so glad we did, the photos are hilarious and everyone had fun dressing up. They also put together the best scrapbook for us throughout the evening. We've looked at it so many times and always get a good laugh!Thanks for everything AMS! You did a fantastic job!

AMS was our dj for our wedding a month ago in Sonoma. Alexander was our dj and was BEYOND amazing! Not only did he contact us before the event and discuss everything, but he was in constant contact with our other vendors which made the whole day so easy. He was extremely professional and was not a "cheesy dj" like many other weddings I've been to. He spoke only when he needed to and was very helpful with making sure our speech givers were comfortable with using the mic and when they would be speaking. Alexander was not only an amazing dj (the dance floor was packed all night long!) but he was my "go to" guy for all of my reception requests. Things that absolutely were not in his job description like lighting and more wine were taken care of without hesitation. Alexander kept me calm and made our wedding day so fun and relaxed. I could not have asked for more in wedding entertainment and would ABSOLUTELY recommend AMS to anyone who is having an event!!

I used AMS Entertainment recently when I got married on June 19, 2010....OMG...Melissa was absolutely wonderful! Everything flowed right on key and she played a perfect blend of music for our age and the younger crowd that also attended. Really liked the functionality of the web site and being able to complete the wedding planner online and choosing the music there also. It was very easy. Melissa communicated everything in advance and I felt like I was in good hands before the big date and had one less thing to worry about. That held true as the night unfolded. I would totally recommend AMS and Melissa for all the future brides out there.

I loved AMS Entertainment. Our DJ was Alex. He was great. He check in a lot with us to make sure everything was going how we wanted. Before announcing anything he would check in with us to make sure he had everything right. They are awesome and very professional. I would highly recommend them!

Excellent!!!! My wife and I had Roger from AMS for our wedding last weekend, June 12th 2010. Roger could not have been a better DJ for our reception. His communication with us, was top notch. Everytime we had a question, he would assure us he was on top of it, and everything was running smooth. Our DJ Roger kept us relaxed and enjoying our wedding, and we really appreciated that... He helped make our recepton more relaxed an enjoyable, and played everything we requested. Just an all-around great, great guy. AMS in general, was great about communication. AMS is great! We used Angela as the pianist for our ceremony and cocktail reception and William as our DJ for our reception. Both were GREAT! Angela played beautifully and was able to accommodate all my desires for a classical ceremony and a cocktail hour with jazz and standards. She really is a terrific musician. And William was a blast! He made the reception so much fun and our guests danced the night away. AMS was great from start to finish, and since we planned our wedding from NYC, it was really terrific to one-stop shop for all our music needs. I highly recommend AMS!

AMS did an outstanding job at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. The whole operation was very well organized and took all pressure off of me from the initial call to Chris, detailing with Frances all the way through the wedding. Alex, the DJ, and Sam, the photo booth operator were very professional and pleasant around the wedding guests. The music was exactly what was requested and there were no scary surprises. The photo booth was one of the biggest hits with our guests. Everyone had fun with the props and souvenir to take home. The bride and groom already treasure the book of photos. Both AMS and our DJ, Melissa, were amazing! The online planner made the song organization simple, and there was just enough "human" interaction (via phone) to make me feel confident before the big day. A+!

You know you picked great vendors when your guests are still talking about what a great wedding you had. Everyone really enjoyed the music and had a great time dancing the night away. Alex at AMS was wonderful to work with both in pre-planning and at the event. We used AMS for our April 24, 2010 wedding at Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford,CA. The whole planning process was so easy. Joe and Frances helped so much at the office. Joe asked us some questions to get an idea of what we wanted. They only suggested their other services if it met our needs - in our case an acoustic guitarist (Rick) and lights for our dance floor and belly dancer performance. AMS know the Auberge du Soleil really well so they knew exactly what works there. William our DJ was a real class act. All the music was cued just right. My wife and I were really happy with our choice in AMS. The online planning, online payment, or just picking up the phone made it all so easy. Thank you Joe, Frances, William and Rick. We would definitely recommend them for a Napa valley wedding.

AMS Entertainment is an awesome company! I first found them on my preffered vendors list from the site I was getting married at...so I did some research and looked them up. First, they really are happy to help at the wedding. Second, each DJ has a small bio about themselves and all are very educated and experienced in what they do and how they handle the weddings. Third, when we met at AMS's business, everyone was very nice and helpful when it came to songs, how to set up the music lists, and what would be used/needed at the wedding.I had tons of questions I needed answered along the way. I called the office and was helped each time, with tons of information, and with patience! That's a big plus!Roger, our DJ was amazing! He helpedme with everything I needed once he arrived. He even held some of my stuff I would need throughout the night...in his pocket! He was very relaxed and super friendly....and outgoing! Chris Monson, our DJ from AMS Entertainment helped make my daughter's Napa Valley wedding perfect. He not only provided an awesome play list and did an incredible job as Master of Ceremony, he also worked so hard behind the scenes making the reception flow so smoothly. Chris's entertainment really put the evening over the top. He had a knack for encouraging people to dance, keeping a consistently crowded dance floor. Plus, even at the bitter end, there was still a sizable group left wanting him to play "just one more song!" The younger "20 something" friends and family (who typically can be a hard sell) posted on Facebook that they loved everything and did not want the party to end.I would not hesitate to use AMS Entertainment again, as they provided excellent, professional and courteous service from start to finish.

AMS did a great job providing music that fit our even perfectly. Our DJ Roger helped the whole wedding night move along as planned (without actually saying anything over the microphone). We gave him some leeway with dance music, and his choices were perfect for our crowd. I would highly recommend AMS and Roger.

Absolutely amazing. The online planner was extremely helpful, and comes back to you in a timeline, so you can see what will happen when. Changes were accomodated, and even when a problem came up about how far the ceremony was from the reception site, up on a hill, they found a way to make it all work out perfectly. Chris, Alexander, and Frances were so professional, yet extremely friendly. The flow of music had everyone on the dancefloor for the entire evening. I could not have asked for a more perfect night for my daughter, and would recommend this vendor to anyone and everyone looking for a high quality dj for any event. Kudos to all of you at AMS, you helped create magic that night.

Amazing. My daughter's wedding was out of state, so we had to trust the music venue we chose. We had heard good things about AMS, and chose to go with them because of their reputation. We were certainly not disappointed. Everything from choosing song selections, to accomodating cds we wished to supply with lyrics taken out, to accomodating last minute changes appeared to happen effortlessly. From Chris, who we spoke to, and booked with, to Alexander, who put together our days timeline of song choices, to Frances, who was the actual dj who attended and worked the event, each person was professional, friendly, accomodating, and created the most magical day for our daughter and son-in-law. Being out of state makes it really hard, and scary to choose vendors, and yet I was amazed at the product the produced based on our vision. The site where you can create timelines, and song selections is so detailed that it creates excitement, at having some control over how your day will go. Each and every request and even the last minute changes were accomodated, addressed, and respected. Kudos to all of you over there at AMS. Fabulous service, Roger Clary who was the DJ from AMS was very personable and professional. We spent over an hour on the phone two weeks before the ceremony reviewing the online planning tool and he suggested a lovely dedication to my parents to honor their anniversary where we played their first dance song and gave them flowers! He was the perfect level of involved but not overwhelming and gave me lots of advice before and during the ceremony as I was a DIY bride. The online planning tool was so useful and again was like a wedding coordinator for an inexperienced DIY bride! Also, Chris from their sales department came to our outdoor location when we first were booking to plan the music setup.Thanks AMS ;)

We used AMS for our wedding at the end of August. We were extremely happy with our DJ, Alexander. He was professional, approachable, and conscience. We would definitely recommend Alexander as a DJ.

Thomas was exceptional as the DJ at my wedding. He went way above and beyond our expectations by basically coordinating our wedding, serving us (the bride and groom) dinner, and accomodating our guests requests.

We had Chris Monson for a DJ at our wedding and he was terrific. He a true professional and was everything we wanted. He played the DJ role perfectly by not being too interactive/over the top yet was able to make announcements and control the party through the music to a tee. I would recommend AMS to anyone that can budget them. They are a little on the pricey side and you will find this out when you price out DJs but you get what you pay for. There customer service was top notch whenever we had questions leading up to the wedding. There reputation made the cost worth it before the wedding as it was one less thing we had to worry about.

AMS Entertainment and Alexander (our DJ) exceeded our expectations every step of the way. When we were first shopping around for a DJ, 100% of the other vendors we spoke with recommended AMS. We met with AMS and were very pleased and decided that we would hire them. In describing themselves they said that for example, the type of person they hire to be a DJ might be someone who has experience in fine dining and knows how to provided excellent, quality service, whereas some other DJ companies search for big personalities. The AMS approach to DJing was exactly what we were looking for.AMS has an online wedding planner that allows the bride and groom to create a timeline and play lists, including a do not play list. A couple of months before the wedding we met with Alexander for almost two hours and talked to him about our wedding vision and the types of music that we like and don't like. Alexander gave us his cell phone number and told us to call him anytime with questions or comments. He was extremely available and helped us create the perfect music experience at our wedding.On the day of the wedding Alexander continued to exceed our expectations. He also impressed our guests, by asking them if there was anything he could do for them, and checking in with the people giving toasts to make sure they were ready. If I were to do the whole wedding thing again next summer (theoretically) I would without a doubt rehire AMS and request Alexander.

Let me preface this review by saying I think the things I heard about AMS prior to my wedding may have set the bar higher than it should have been, thus the reason I was dissapointed with their performance, but if you're touted as the best of the best by everyone ... well ... you gotta follow thru! The hard part of writing this review is that we loved our DJ. She was super sweet and very thorough prior to the wedding, which made me think the wedding would go off without a hitch. Unfortunately, on the big day she seemed stressed and a bit overwhelmed. A few hiccups worth noting...I was supposed to be given a mic after recessing down the aisle to give a toast before leaving to take pictures and at that very moment, our DJ had dissapeared. The song that my wife chose to play during her bouquet toss didn't start until after she had thrown her bouquet and then played for an awkward minute, as we all looked around wondering what to do. And when I asked for a slight change in the music during the dancing, she just looked at me and said, "that will clear the dance floor!" instead of being willing to brainstorm a few songs that might work instead. Again, not super major hiccups, but I didn't expect any hiccups after hiring the one vendor that everyone recommended. Seriously though, EVERYONE in wine country said the only DJ worth hiring was AMS. Maybe it was the high expectations. Maybe it was the package we went with, which only included 1 DJ, instead of 2...who knows. Overall, she was fine. But on my wedding day I'd hoped for great.

The online planner tool was perfect for us (we both work incredibly long hours most weeks, so we were able to do things when we were able to). We were able to get a good idea of how the day would go, and make changes until two weeks before the wedding. Roger was the greatest. He exceed our expectations and really was more than just a DJ. Throughout the entire night, he would check in with us to see if we needed anything. He was extremely flexible as well. Roger and AMS were incredibly easy to contact, and we would get a response within a day.

Words can't say how AMAZING the AMS team is. Roger was my DJ (he had an assistant but I can't remember his name!?!) and he was so fantastic. He met with me for two hours prior to our wedding and answered every question, addressed every concern and made amazing suggestions. Joe (the manager or maybe owner?) called to double confirm details and made sure we had things done they way they needed to be for our slideshow that they provided equipment for. On the day of our wedding Roger did so much more than provide music! He brought us champagne while doing photos, helped to keep my vendors on track, put up with my crazy guest, made sure everyone had a great time and took care of a difficult situation with our toasts in the most professional way possible. I just can't say enough about the level of service provided as well as the fantastic mucic they provided. AMS came highly recommended from many sources and now I know why! I also attended a wedding last weekend that AMS DJ'd for as well. This DJ (I think his name was Timmothy??) was fantastic as well. We had such a great time dancing at this wedding. TImmothy was both friendly and accomidating, as long as it was within the bride and grooms guidelines of course. Should I ever have a need to hire a DJ again there is no question that AMS will be the only place I would ever use!

We had Alexander for our DJ, but I would assume they're all great. He was awesome! He was attentive to every need and every detail. You can't go wrong with AMS. ALL the vendors know and respect AMS. They are that good.

We booked our DJ and ceremony musicians through AMS and I would highly recommend them for your event because of their experience and portfolio of high quality professionals. We had not spent very much time thinking about music for our ceremony or reception, but AMS had a streamlined process set up that made making these decisions very easy. And, everyone we worked with was so friendly, kind, and helpful.First, the ceremony musicians were extremely flexible and were able to make great recommendations on different renditions of songs we had picked out that would be better for the event, location, and/or types of instruments we had chosen. They were patient with us despite our busy schedule and last minute decisions/changes. And most importantly, the quality of their performance was excellent.Second, our DJ was great because he knew exactly what he was doing, assured us that no matter what, the event going to be fun and successful, and we didn't have to provide very much direction at all. He helped us plan our timeline and we gave one song for each course as a sample or inspiration, and our DJ was able to come up with a playlist that fit the mood/occasion perfectly. The music during the meal was at the perfect sound level, which made it great for conversation and he was able to slowly build the party up toward the end in a very tasteful way, but still keeping it fun. The DJ came dressed extremely professionally, had a fantastic personality, and fit right in with all of our guests.

Our DJ for our wedding was Tony Park- we could not be more happy with him. He did exactly what we wanted- stuck to our "Do Not Play" list, and he had great judgment- playing more upbeat music when the crowd needed it, etc. He was so great with the guests and was not cheesy AT ALL. We were very happy with him and highly recommend this vendor!

Considering that many DJs have a penchant for cheesiness, I was a little worried about having a DJ, as opposed to a band, play at the wedding. But AMS was fantastic - no cheese here! Frances, our DJ, and she was awesome. AMS has great online software for creating your song list and, before the wedding, we worked with Frances (and Joe) on our list of must plays and don't plays.It's worth mentioning that AMS has several options to choose from. We chose the less expensive option; the only difference between this option and the more expensive one is that you do not get to meet your DJ beforehand. However, even though you don't meet in person, you will have the chance to email with your DJ, and speak to your DJ on the phone, before the wedding, which was awesome.

Our DJ from AMS, Alex, was fantastic. We booked and coordinated solely by telephone / email, so I was a bit apprehensive going into the event (despite a few excellent planning conversations). I need not have worried! Alex was (as cheesy as it sounds) more than a DJ - he was an integral part of our event.

He was on site early for setup and seemed to pitch in wherever needed. When an accident on the main access road to our site delayed 90% of our guests and pushed our event 30min, Alex worked easily with our coordinator and other vendors to re-fit everything into the modified timeline. Immediately after the ceremony, Alex was on hand to check if DH and I needed water, champagne or anything else. His music selections through dinner were *exactly* on target with the mood and tone I hoped to set.

The reception went off without a hitch. I gave him freedom to work with our playlist (avoiding anything horribly cliche and sticking to a VERY limited set of genres) -- and all his selections, even those that were his suggestions, were perfect! Alex continued to checked in throughout the night to make sure that we knew what events were coming up, that we were happy with the music, that we had drinks, etc.

In short working with Alex was a bit like having a second coordinator... but in a surprisingly subtle way. 5 stars, highly recommended, two thumbs up!

AMS was part of our Mark West Lodge package, and we were lucky to work with Terrence, our energetic DJ who provided both ceremony and reception music for our wedding. AMS uses an online tool to help you select your music beforehand, and it wasn't the most user-friendly program, but with some email assistance from AMS, we completed the planner. We did not meet our DJ until the wedding day, but there were very few issues and everything went smoothly. I would recommend Terrence to anyone -- he was laid-back yet fun and made the music portion of our day really memorable.

At the Napa site where we had our destination wedding, we were required to choose a DJ from their vendor list. Because of this restriction and our inability to choose or meet with our DJ, we were greatly apprehensive. However, our concerns were quickly put to rest the moment on our wedding day when we met our DJ, Roger Clary, from AMS Entertainment in Sebastopol.He was so professional, kind, and attentive that he quickly became one of our favorite vendors of the evening. Not only did he constantly check on us to see if our every whim was being met (including food and champagne), he ensured that all our guests were comfortable as well. In fact, prior to meeting him, I thought he was one of the wedding coordinators for the site or caterer because of this very work ethic that went far beyond the call of duty.And when it was finally time for him to do what he does best, he "rocked the house" with as many of our playlist requests he could squeeze in along with his own incredible selection of music which he inferred solely by our playlist. Furthermore, if ever a guest made a musical request that was questionable or didn't fit the genre of music he gathered we liked, he always passed it by us in a timely and discrete manner.Thus, we can't rave enough about Roger Clary and AMS Entertainment. Our only wish is that we had a few more hours to enjoy the reception and the music just a little while longer.

Steve our DJ and the company AMS were a perfect fit for us for our wedding. They were very professional. The music selections were perfect, I even complained to Steve that the songs were too great, I never got a chance to rest!!

I used AMS out of Santa Barbara, and DJ Saul was AWESOME!!! Saul kept the party going at all times. He honored all song requests and was the perfect wedding MC (not too loud and cheesy). AMS was a wonderful company to work with, I highly recommend. Grade: A

AMS did an amazing job at our wedding! Terrence was our DJ and he was incredible, we highly recommend him! He played everything we wanted, and he handled everything smoothly. We love the online wedding planner, and had a great meeting with Terrence at Starbucks beforehand to discuss our needs. AMS and Terrence did such a great job that everyone kept asking us who our DJ was! Everyone loved him! AMS is the best and a great DJ for weddings.

AMS Entertainment is definitely on the pricey side of Bay Area DJ's. They were the first vendor I booked, after my venue, because Paradise Ridge raved about them and said that they were the best around. Our DJ was Roger and he was excellent the day of. Before the ceremony he kept checking up on me to see if there way anything I needed and handled last minute order changes beautifully. He is also the anti-wedding DJ in that he was not cheesy at all, which was very important to us. All of the correct songs were played and our dance floor was full until the last dance. He made it a great party.

We had the perfect DJ for what the bride and groom wanted. You almost didn't know he was there. The music never stopped all evening, even when we went over our time limit. Dinner music was nicely done, but not too loud. He accommodated requests from guests and did a very professional job of introductions. He got the dancing started by playing tunes that all ages could dance to. There was never a down time on the dance floor. AMS interviews the bride and groom to find out their expectations and then matches them to a DJ that fits. They could not have chosen better in our case.

Worked with Tony and loved him! He was very professional and courteous. Listened to my groom and I and was very flexible. This company is excellent and they did everything perfectly to a T. I would recommend them to ANYONE for any occassion, especially a wedding!

We were actually quite disappointed with AMS Entertainment. We had a very frustrating experience contacting a real person. They requested that we do everything on-line, and then only after it is all completed (no questions have been answered) do they meet you in person. We met our DJ at a local coffee shop and we felt pretty good about it. We sat down, made sure everything was as we wanted, wrote out ALL of the names of our wedding party and parents, including phonetic spelling. We thought for sure we were set to go. Then on the wedding day, literally as we were lining up for our introductions, the DJ came to us and asked for us to write down all of our wedding party and family members names. What happened to the first copy? With that being said, when the father of the bride was called for his toast, he was introduced by the wrong name, as well as the maid of honor was introduced incorrectly. With those small bloopers, came a much larger one. The song for the father daughter dance was "corrupted" and therefore skipped by the computer going straight into the mother-groom dance. This caused for a lot of embarrassment and confusion, as my father and I stood there and tried to "pretend" dance to the next four songs while he tried to find it. The Play List should have been checked prior to our special day. Since this posting, we were contacted by AMS; they have assured us that they have taken steps to mak sure something like this does not happen again. We appreciated being contacted after they received our feedback card. Letters of apology and a small refund were sent to us. We appreciate their sincerity.

AMS Entertainment was absolutely awesome! Clifton was the DJ for our wedding and he was wonderful! Everything went off without a hitch. He played all of the music that we requested at the reception and the ceremony music was flawless. When I was planning my wedding, I heard so many horror stories about DJ's who were really cheesy, loud, unprofessional, or just didn't play any of the music they wanted. Not AMS. Clifton catered everything to our event. He asked how involved we wanted him to be, how low-key we wanted the day, etc. And best of all, he asked for a complete schedule of events and before each announcement checked in with all the people involved to make sure they were ready. It was kind of like having a day-of wedding coordinator AND a DJ in one. On top of all that, Clifton was a really nice guy and made everyone feel really comfortable. I highly recommend AMS entertainment!

It went pretty smoothly. He played some music I didn't want, but other than that, the DJ service was nice.

Our DJ, Tony was absolutely fantastic. He remembered every little detail and request we made, was able to involve everyone without being pushy and was so attentive to the wellbeing of the guests that he helped them get seated and get wine even if it was not his job. He is charming, funny and talented. Their planning website was also very helpful.
