Amy Byrd Weddings and Events

I would like to start my review off by saying Amy's service was invaluable to our wedding. First of all, just having our names attached to Amy helped us with vendor negotiations. It was obvious she's well known in the community and highly regarded by her peers. Even though we booked her for coordinating, she helped us with even the smallest, most ridiculous questions-- and often the SAME questions as she had me, my husband and mother-in-law asking her the same questions over and over again. lol. She was always very patient however and was able to take suggestions from others and still make me feel like I was the bride and I had the final say. The day of, Amy, Sarah and crew did the most perfect job setting up everything. It looked even better than I had imagined! Amy was so on top of everything. The day happened with practically no stress for me and according to plan. I honestly don't know what we would have done without her!

When it comes to the most special day in a person's life, you need someone as special as the day to make all your dreams come true.
 
For us, Amy Byrd is that special person.
 
Amy is so much more than a wedding planner, but what a wedding planner she is!
 
If there were a higher grade than A+, we would award it to Amy and her staff in every conceivable category:
 
Professional, responsible, detail oriented, inspiring, creative, resourceful, knowledgeable, great listeners, clear communicators, understanding and caring of our vision and ideas.
 
This was no ordinary wedding, so we were especially grateful that Amy is no ordinary wedding planner.
 
My vision for our wedding was very different from the norm: an original concept that featured unique decor, off-the-charts floral arrangements, and many unusual hard-to-find elements––all of which I envisioned coming together in a spectacular, romantic setting.
 
Amy not only got the concept right away, she and her staff immediately leapt on the bandwagon, taking the lead in finding the resources that would make our vision a reality.
 
This was not an easy task. We had an extensive and complex wish list. We had not one, but two separate ceremonies to plan (Catholic and Jewish), in addition to the reception. And we started planning a year and a half in advance. Even our location––100+ miles away––contributed to the unique challenges we faced.
 
Amy and her staff were not only up to the task, they exceeded by far all of our expectations, not only going the extra mile, but truly completing a marathon.
 
All of this allowed us to enjoy a stress-less wedding day, with all credit due to Amy Byrd Weddings.
 
It makes me want to hire Amy again, but this time for what comes next:  baby showers, birthdays, bar or bat mitzvahs, parties, and anniversaries . . . I can't wait to work with Amy again!

Amy Byrd and her staff are first class. We were on a strict budget and were not sure at first if we could afford a wedding planner. Now that the wedding is over, all I can say, is that we could not afford to NOT have a wedding planner! A few of the things that I love about Amy and her staff:
-Amy worked with our limited budget and never made us feel bad about the fact that we didn't have an unlimited budget (you would be surprised, other wedding planners that we met with did!)
-Amy has incredible connections in the Monterey/SF wedding world. She got us preferred rates (her discounts offset a large part of her fee!) with many of our vendors and had worked with nearly all of them before. When I told vendors that Amy was our wedding planner, they all said that they love working with her
-Although we did not hire Amy full-service wedding planning, she was incredibly responsive to all of our emails, calls and questions throughout the planning process
-Amy and her team worked overtime to make our wedding beautiful and perfect. They transformed a ranch into an amazing event space and took extra care to leave the ranch as it was when the wedding was over
-Amy has creative solutions to work within a budget. For instance, instead of having one big tent, we rented three tents and she designed them in a U-shape, with the dance floor in the middle under the stars. This tent design alone saved us several thousand dollars
-Amy and her team are able to handle stressful situations. When one of our guests needed to be rushed to the hospital, she handled the situation with ease and kept me and my husband shielded to the situation so that we would not feel the stress
-And last but not least, Amy is a beautiful person. My husband consider her a friend for life!

I don't even know where to begin on explaining my love for Amy and her staff. My husband and I wanted to get married in Monterey, since it was one of our favorite places to visit and absolutely goregous (we live in Los Angeles). During our initial planning, we thought we could plan a wedding ourselves no problem. Well.... it didn't work out so well. So, my mother-in-law found Amy Byrd Events through a friend of hers who son used Amy as his planner.

Now for the good stuff. Amy is one of the most kind, thoughtful, hilarious and meaningful people that I have ever met. She made the wedding process so easy and effortless.

For us, planning a wedding out of town was something we couldn't have done alone. Amy helped us by contacting venues, setting up appointments when we would visit, and helped keep us on track to make sure we had everything completed.

Most of all, Amy has become one of our greatest friends during the whole process. She answered every question and explained every detail. She listened when I cried about how crazy our families were and always had a hug waiting for me. She is the sole reason we had an amazing wedding. She was the greatest support we had through the whole process. I am thankful for her and that she is who she is.

If you choose Amy and her team as your planners, you will not be disappointed. You will have an amazing wedding and it will be the best day of your life.

Working with Amy to plan our wedding was such a great experience!! She listened to what we wanted, asked the right questions and always delivered. She thought of every detail and kept us on track. She also recommend some amazing vendors based on our needs and budget. I could not have imagined planning our wedding without Amy. She was such an asset. Amy and her vendors were absolute professionals to work with. We forged a wonderful relationship from the beginning and this continued throughout the planning process. Every idea and detail were carried out as discussed. Amy really worked hard to find out my daughter and son-in-law's ideas so that every wish was incorporated into their day. Both my daughter (the bride) and me (the Mother of the Bride) were put at ease during the entire process. My husband blessed Amy every time we met with her or talked to her for making the experience so easy on all of us. We utilized conferenced calls as the bride, her parents, Amy and the venue were in diffrerent geographic locations. All of the vendors Amy referred us to were very talented and creative. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. All of our guests were in awe and have had nothing but positive comments regarding the spectacular wedding cermony, officient, the amazing decor, flowers, cake, ceremony music, DJ, and the ultimate venue for the destination wedding!!! Amy Byrd is now a part of our family!!! Our daughter and son-in-law said they couldn't have wished for anything more. The wedding photos are beautiful. It was the perfect day for the perfrect couple!

Words cannot describe how amazing Amy and her team was in planning our July 2011 wedding. We encountered some usually difficult issues with our venue and Amy was right there, fighting for us the entire way though the process. Our wedding was one where we had to bring in everything, and Amy did an excellent job in coordinating our various vendors and made sure that everything went smoothly during the big day. There were many moments during our 8 months of planning where my fiancée and I exclaimed to each other how happy and relieved we were to have hired Amy - she truly “saved” our wedding and made it a great success. Besides being great at what she does, she is such a wonderful and kind person and I know we will stay friends for a long time.

Amy Byrd was my wedding planner for our wedding in Carmel Valley at Holman Ranch. We live in Los Angeles so it was important to have someone that had great relationships with vendors and could handle everything without me living there. Being a prior event planner myself, I know what a being a great planner entails and Amy was above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. Everything was perfect the whole weekend because of the job Amy did. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator in the area. It was the BEST money we spent.

I can't even begin to express what a wonderful wedding planner Beth Bellatti is. I was unsure about hiring a wedding planner due to some not so fabulous experiences some of my friends had with their planners. However, after speaking with Beth on the phone, I knew we had to have her! I was looking into a bunch of planners in the Monterey area, and Beth was the only planner who called to speak with me prior to our in-person meeting, in order to come prepared for our meeting. After meeting Beth, I booked her on the spot and cancelled the rest of my appointments with wedding planners. She was so attentive, understood exactly what we were wanting for our wedding and at our first meeting, provided florist (Reina Ramirez) and event rental company (Chic Events) referrals. We ended up using both her Reina and Chic Events, they were amazing. She had a close relationship with both of them as well as local companies for invitations, hair and makeup, photographer, etc.

Throughout the entire planning process she was readily available via email and phone. She was on top of everything and made sure the whole process was smooth and fun. The week of the wedding and the wedding day couldn't have gone better. She took care of everything, making sure that myself and my now husband didn't have to worry about anything on the day, but rather just enjoy ourselves. Not only was she a pleasure to work with professionally, but a completely awesome person. We got along so well, i felt like i was planning our wedding with close friend.

I would recommend Beth to any person who is planning a wedding or any type of event. She is fabulous at her job!!!

Beth was the most wonderful, patient and supportive wedding coordinator that has ever graced this planet. She met me on the telephone and with her sweetness let me know that my wedding would be perfect if she was the one to take care of it. I let her have complete control. She offered suggestions that I had never considered and frankly didn't want to think about.

We planned a beautifully intimate, romantic wedding that turned out to be wonderfully enchanting. She took care of every detail and stayed up all night working to make sure the reception decorations were perfect.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into the room. It was beautiful and looked just like the magazine photos I had only dreamed about. Beth arranged everything without me ever setting foot at the wedding venue before the day of the wedding. She coordinated with the florist, the bakery, and the rental company to make sure everything matched and harmonized with the decor. The colors matched perfectly. Every vendor was in sync and looked like they had all gotten together to bring my pink theme to life.

Most of all, she kept her gentle spirit throughout the several months that I worked with her. She was never impatient and never seemed frustrated with what I wanted her to do.

She is very creative and has wonderful ideas. She presented them in a non-overbearing manner and gave me plenty of space and time to think about whether I wanted to consider her ideas or simply use her ideas to create my own.

I would highly recommend her services for any bride to be.

If you're planning a wedding in the Carmel area, call Amy immediately. Amy has this amazing ability to be laid-back while still getting the job done. I can't even put into words how helpful and kind this woman is. We had a simply gorgeous wedding because of Ms. Amy Byrd.

When we first began planning our wedding, my fiancee and I weren't sure we would be able to afford a coordinator - but let me tell you, the money we spent to hire Amy Byrd was the absolute best investment we made throughout the entire planning process.

Amy is a perfect gem. She's a sweet, helpful, honest, and downright fun person to work with. She made every step easier, and when I was too Type A to ask for help she sorta forced me to take it anyway - an awesome trait for a wedding coordinator to have, lemme tell you!!

If you are getting married in the Carmel Monterey area, a MUST for your wedding should be hiring Amy Byrd. I do not know if I can say enough in this blog, but I was EXTREMELY PLEASED and impressed by her professionalism and the services she provided. I will also add that if you do not live in the area, you would be crazy not to hire Amy. I have to admit that I met Amy initially, but foolishly thought I would not hire her, thinking of my budget and other ways to spend my funds. It is not that she is outrageously priced, I just figured I was organized enough to do many things by myself. I then moved the wedding up and contacted Amy for help. I got married a few weeks ago and can not tell you how many times MY HUSBAND AND I have said, "THANK GOD FOR AMY!" She has a ton of experience and contacts and she is awesome! She SAVED us money with her recommends, has creative unique ideas that I am still getting compliments on, works with in your budget when planning and takes care of every little detail. I am a very organized person but could not have imagined doing this without her services. I believe what really says it all, is when I was traveling to the reception from the church, I realized that she had answered every single one of my questions before I ever had to ask it...she anticipated everything! I enjoyed my day so much more because Amy was there and made it beautiful.
