An Enchanted Evening

We loved every minute of our reception thanks to the awesome DJ we had! An Enchanted Evening in Elk Grove IL provides top notch service! We had 3 appointments with the to cover all the bases, our DJ, Dave called 2 days before our event to make sure he had everything correct. The actual music was awesome, Dave was very professional and very accomidating to our guest's request songs. He made our evening so special, and his knowledge of music (new and old songs) was a pleasant surprise! You can trust this company with your wedding no matter how big or small!

We used enchanted evening to DJ our reception, as well as, provide music for the ceremony. They did an amazing job, our dance floor was never empty. They played music that pleased every generation! We really liked that we met with them before the wedding to place songs on the “play” and “do not play list.” The night before the wedding, the DJ we had scheduled had an emergency, however, we were called immediately and they sent out the owner to do our wedding instead. We never had any worry, and knew they would still do a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun reception filled with lots of dancing.

An Enchanted Evening went out of their way to make sure the mother/son song was on hand for the big day. They were even willing to buy the enitire CD for future use! We had a blast the night of! We did have a minor glitch with a blown fuse. It wasn't anyone's fault and we were back up and running in no time!

Our DJ, Larry, was amazing. He called me prior to our wedding to discuss what we wanted and fulfilled them all. Not only was our DJ amazing, but the entire company was great. It all started with our consultation and Mike was so professional, informative and knowledgeable that it was easy to pick this company for our wedding. Also, the pricing and the package they offer was the best and made the most sense to me. I didn't like how many companies make you pay for things that you don't need (like a bronze, silver or gold package). But An Enchanted Evening just has one package and if you want the extra's you pay for the extras. Everyone of our guests told us that it was one of the most fun weddings they have EVER been to and I feel like that was in huge part to our choice of DJ. Was great. I would recommend them to everyone!!

Anyone looking for a DJ I would highly recommend this company. We use Dave Stripling and he was awesome. We met Dave at a bridal expo and knew he was the oone for our awesome day! He did our music for ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, then reception - he's AWESOME!!! He really reads the crowd and keeps the night moving along. The sound was great, lighting, everything was perfect. Would definitely use him again :)

We had the perfect experience with Enchanted Evening for our wedding reception. Our DJ was the perfect fit, and we were glad that we trusted his musical judgement. Many of our guests complimented our musical entertainment, and he definitely kept the party going. From beginning to plan to our wedding day, our experience with An Enchanted Evening was phenomenal. Their introduction to their business allowed us to see videos of all the DJ’s in action. We were then requested to pick our top 3. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any of them due to already being taken or unavailable – this was a little trying at first, but everything happens for a reason. They were great about working with the price or adding things where possible to be very competitive compared to other DJ services. For our wedding day, Mike U was our DJ and he was amazing! He called us the wedding to go over details and to finalize pronunciation of everyone’s names. Being a busy bride, I gave him a very vague list of things to play for our wedding day (really only the “special dances”)…the rest was left up to him and I have to admit our dance floor was full the entire night (not the easiest thing to pull off with the huge age range we had at our wedding)! In addition to the many compliments we received about the DJ, we were both extremely happy with the services we received.

Our DJ met with us for over an hour prior to the wedding to get to know us and find out what we wanted from him. He was professional, courteous and fun. He made suggestions but also also listened to what we wanted and had planned. He and his assistant arrived early enough to set up and was ready in plenty of time. He was kind to the guests who made requests and was fun throughout the entire evening. He played just the right music at just the right times and I am confident my daughters wedding would not have been the same without him!

Mike U. was our DJ and he was great. Really friendly and laid back. I got so many compliments after my wedding that the music was perfect (we didn't pick any of it). Mike was a great emcee and helped the night go by smoothly. Never was in our faces or pushy and stayed off the microphone. Very professional. Would definitely use again for an event and would recommend!

We got married in June, and of course the most important part of any wedding is the DJ. They can make or break every reception, and let me tell you, Enchanted Evening DJ went above and Beyond the call of duty. Our DJ was Dave, and he was professional, enthusiastic, and extremely talented at what he does. It all started with a call a week before to discuss every detail of the wedding, what songs we wanted, and what songs we did not want. From there, he was able alter the songs, and adjusted throughout the night. The dance floor was never empty, and not a single song killed the mood. The introductions which are my favorite part of every wedding, he killed it. There was enthusiasm, and never a dull moment. I would recommend Enchanted Evening to any bride and groom, and to proove, it was not just us that thought so, the next day, we recieved 2 calls asking about them for their "future" weddings. 5 star all the way!

Great value for the cost. The pricing was very reasonable and our DJ did a fantastic job. He kept people on the dance floor all night and we had barely anyone leave before midnight. This allowed our photographer to take an end of night picture with everyone at the reception which is one of my favs!! My best piece of advice is not to restrict what your DJ can or can't play. Let the DJ do what he does best and you won't regret it!

Wow! Can I just say what a wonderful company this was! We were matched with DJ Kevin for our wedding and he was the perfect DJ! Everybody danced all night long, and people were having so much fun, he had a hard time clearing the dance floor to do our special occassion thing (ie. garter toss, bouquet toss, and dollar dance). We had the enchanced sound system and it was worth the extra couple hundred bucks to get a wonderful system to fill our grand ballroom. We loved the music and it definitely enhanced our reception! We would recommend AN ENCHANTED EVENING, especially, DJ KEVIN, again!

An Enchanted Evening is a great company to work with! They are easy to work with and they let you know when things need to be completed. Which is great because when planning a wedding there are so many details that need attention. They make it one less thing for you to worry about! Scot was our DJ he was amazing!! Are dance floor was packed ALL night long! It was great because that is where I wanted my guests out dancing and having fun!! I would for sure use this company again! Trust me go with this company you wont regret it!

Very friendly... gave the DJ a list of groups and singers that we liked an he caught on to our style right away! On top of things for all our special songs that we submitted and the office staff were extra wonderful making sure they received all our music. Great price too, very fair! Our DJ Mark was great, he did everything we asked and more. He was great at anticipating what the crowd wanted, played all of our requests as well as our guests. I also have to compliment how well Mark was at deciding when to change songs. One song had no one on the dance floor so he quickly faded it out and brought on a new one that brought the dancers back. I had some guests that just about danced all night and couldn't get enough. Mark's talent really made our night special and very memorable. Highly recommended!!!

This DJ had everything right! He played the right versions of all the songs...he was fun, but not overwhelming. He was incredibly professional and very very good at what he does!

We were very happy with An Enchanted Evening. We meet with Scott twice he was our contact person and also our DJ. He was AWESOME! He even handled the music for our ceremony and did a Fantastic job. He gave us some really good suggestions and everything was just perfect.... I was a little worried just because it was an outdoor ceremony and I wasn't sure how just one speaker would work, but Scott did an wonderful job and everyone was able to hear the ceremony and the music!!! I highly recommend An Enchanted Evening, everyone we came into contact with was very friendly, personable, and professional! :)

An Enchanted Evening definitely met and exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased. The team reviewed our music requests and played every one of our requested songs. We had a themed Disney wedding and they accommodated our request to incorporate Disney music above and beyond what I had expected. It was exactly what I wanted. They honored our music requests, did exactly what we asked and our DJ, Dana, was PERFECT! He spoke with us for atleast an hour to go over all of our song choices and likes/dislikes. He did a great job and accommodated all of our needs and requests. Everyone has been commenting on how much fun they had and what a great wedding it was. Dana and team were excellent. I will definitely use them again for future events and will most definitely request Dana as our DJ. Outstanding! Thank you An Enchanted Evening!

Mike our Dj was amazing!!! He really went above and beyond of what we expected! We defiantly didn't have an easy group and he handled it so well! We had over 300 people and everyone had such a great time! I am so happy that we got Mike as our Dj and don't think that anyone could of done as good of a job as he did! He was very outgoing and made everyone feel comfortable to come out on the dance floor!

This company provides quality service at a very reasonable cost. DJ Dave was fantastic- professional, funny, witty, and an excellent dancer! All the ladies attending the wedding particularly enjoyed his teaching skills and charisma. Furthermore, Dave did not have his own "agenda", he played all the songs we wanted to here and frequently asked for feedback throughout the night. He was absolutely perfect and I would HIGHLY recommend him and An Enchanted Evening!!

Picking a DJ was the most important part to our wedding and Mike our DJ from An Enchanted Evening did a wonderful job. The music was perfect. He used the list we provided him but also added some fun additions to the music list. All of our guests loved the music and the floor was packed the whole time. We even had people from the other weddings coming in to dance with us because our music was so good! We had so much fun; we wish we could do it again! Thank you, Patrick and Michele

I have to admit, before the wedding I was very nervous about using An Enchanted Evening for a DJ service because they are a big named DJ company. Also, I am Filipino and I love old school hip hop music and I was afraid they wouldn't be able to play music to fit my taste. I was completely wrong and all my fears were eased from the start of the reception. Our DJ Mike had people on the dance floor the entire night. Friends of our that never dance were dancing the entire night. We'd have another wedding just to hire Mike again.

Our DJ was great! He was really fun, played a good mix of music - which presumably made everyone happy, and even allowed us to do some late night karaoke!

Our DJ was wonderful. They are a company of 12 DJ's and our's was great. He had the dance floor filled all night long. They were very professional and promt. 5 Stars!!!

An Enchanted Evening was very professional and reasonably priced.

They were absolutely amazing! We asked for an upbeat, fun, dance all night long DJ and that is what we got. Both young and old were flocking to the dance floor all night long.

Mike from An Enchanted Evening was great! He kept the dance floor packed all night, helped my sister give a great maid of honor speech (by playing go cubs go to my sox fan husband), and being friendly to all of our guests. He was very attentive and listened to everything that we wanted. My sister just booked him for her wedding in October because of how great he was at my wedding. Ask for Mike!!!!

We chose An Enchanted Evening for our reception and ceremony music. We only looked into one DJ and that is because An Enchanted Evening was the only one to have an all inclusive service. They stayed throughout the entire reception, until it closed, and did the ceremony beforehand. Including set up, our DJ was there from about 3pm to a little after midnight. Not once did I have to worry about going over our time limit and paying extra. The music he played was excellent. I only picked the special songs, but he did a great job playing music to fit the mood based on what we wanted (we just gave him types of music). They were very professional too. Our DJ was dressed in wedding attire and was always communicating with us about the volume and the timing of events. Our photographer was only there until 10pm, and the DJ was always talking with him to make sure we got all the photos we needed without it feeling rushed. He also made sure everyone knew when an event was taking place and our photographer was present before starting. I would highly recommend the DJs of An Enchanted Evening!

We had Mike as our DJ and he was great! We had some complaints from the guests that the songs they requested never got played...but the dance floor was never empty so we didn't really think too much of it.He played the songs that we requested and checked with us when there was an overwhelming request for songs that we had banned from our play list. If that is what the crowd wanted...then fine! *8)He double checked the pronunciation of all the names of the family, caught on that my grandma showed up at the last minute and added her and was sensitive to the fact that my parents are divorced and don't necessarily get along. Great service, great follow-up, would definitely recommend them!

Our DJ was WONDERFUL...he kept the floor packed! So much so that people didn't even finish eating! The only concern we had was not meeting our DJ in person until the day of the wedding, although we had spoken by phone we were a bit concerned nto having met him, but he did such a good job in the end it was fine. If it makes you nervous, ask to meet the DJ in person before hand if possible!

An Enchanted Evening was an EXCELLENT DJ service to have! I found them through a bridal show where they offered me $100 off if booking with them. I setup an appointment and we were immediately impressed. Our DJ, Larry, was phenomenal. Great with the crowd, played great music that we loved with little direction, and definitely listened to what our likes and dislikes were. We also ordered our names in lights which added a nice little touch and was very reasonably priced!! We were very happy with their service and thought they were reasonably priced compared to other companies and thought ours was better!!!A+++++++

I was very apprenhensive about booking a DJ. I was very happy with the service they provided. They were easy to work with from the beginning to the end! Dana was our DJ and he did a fantastic job. Everyone loved the selection of music and he had different age groups dancing! He even played an "encore" at our guests request. The whole evening ran smoothly and no one had to "micro-manage" the DJ. I would highly recommend an Enchanted Evening!

Very professional and accomodating

Our DJ was wonderful. He even asked everyone in the bridal party if we needed anything. Going through the set up process they were wonderful too. Any time we called with questions they were on it right away. When going in for our meetings the environment made us feel relaxed and that our DJ needs were in good hands. They took the time to get to know our likes and dislikes.

The DJ was awesome, funny, and cool. I really like the way the evening went, except for the mix-up on the version of the song for the dance with my brother.

We had the best time. The DJ was amazing, he did not play anything we had on our no play list and everyone was out on the dance floor all night.The song we wanted for our first dance was not in their library but they went and got it for our day.We were provided with a CD of our special dances at the end of the evening.

I was very impressed with the services An Enchanted Evening provide me on my wedding day, and while planning. It was very easy to plan my music using a website provided by the company. At a reasonable price they provided us with not only music for the reception, but music for our wedding ceremony! The best part is the price is for an unlimited amount of time. Our DJ, Mike was great, He played everything we wanted, plus other things we really enjoyed hearing and dancing to. He was able to keep us dancing until the party was over. What a great company!

We were very happy with the company and D.J. The online planning was great to have. Mike, our D.J. did a great job keeping people on the dance floor. He was very nice to work with also. There were a few songs that we had requested on our online planning form that were not played, but they were not any major songs of the night to be played, so not a huge deal.

Prompt response time, very professional. Didn't have much experience with Jewish weddings, which concerned us, but pulled things off in the end, and EVERYONE was on the floor dancing the whole time!

I was extremely happy with this vendor from the start. They were easy to deal with from the start and throughout the whole process. They were friendly and helpful everytime I called with questions and requests. The Dj called us a few days before to go over everything and I liked that because I knew everything was taken care of. He has absolutely no problems taking care of my husbands specific requests. The day of the wedding the Dj was very professional, friendly, helpful, and entertaining. He played all the music we requested and did a great job playing music that kept everyone dancing. He kept me informed of everything going on, any changes due to the reception hall, and he took care of everything for me since i was busy. He was not only a great Dj but he helped to keep everything organized at the reception. I highly recommend!

We met a rep from An Enchanted Evening at a Bridal show and then booked a meeting with them. We signed a contract right away and always felt comfortable with them. We were lucky enough to have Mike as our DJ at our wedding. He was great and the dance floor was packed the entire night! We still get compliments on how fun our wedding was...Thanks Mike!

I had a few peoblems with this company which made me not give it a perfect score. There was some miscommunication between co-workers and added a lot of stress before the wedding. The actual wedding day went lovely and I couldn't have been happier.

I found An Enchanted Evening while searing online for wedding vendors, and I'm really glad I wound up with them for my wedding. From the moment we walked in to set up our services I felt as though they would go above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I were happy with the services they provided. The DJ was professional and courteous; calling a few days beforehand to see if we had any last minute changes to make and not complaining when my husband called the night before to request a change. He even came to find me to get my OK on some of the "classics" that I hadn't approved or disapproved. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who's looking at getting a DJ for any event.

We got married 8/20/10 and Dave Stripling was our DJ. He did a great job. We had a huge list of music for him to play, and he did a great job getting it all in and mixing it with requests. Dave was a character, he was teaching everyone on the dance floor new dance steps and kept them going all night. He was even on the dance floor himself having a great time with my guests. My coworkers mentioned how they were so amused by him! Dealing with the company was okay. There could have been a little bit more communication on their end, as being a stressed out bride, you can easily forget the small details that need to be taken care of when it is coming down to the wire. Dave did personally give me a call the day before the wedding to go over all the details and make sure he had everything right, which was reassuring.However, they were very accommodating and allowed us to choose our DJ by viewing actual video clips of weddings they have DJ'd. This was time consuming, but very worth it, and of course you don't HAVE to select your own DJ. Overall our experience was very pleasant, and if I had to choose a DJ all over again, I would still go with them.

they rocked -- music was perfect - DJ was great fit in perfectly... only thing would have changed would have liked to have met DJ prior to ceremony.... but all in all they were great and would recommend this place again and again!!!! Our wedding was a blast -- EVERYONE has said what a great time they had and you know a HUGE part was due to the entertainer/DJ-- thanks Dale and Scott!!!

My husband and I loved our DJ from An Enchanted Evening. First we watched footage of different receptions, they answered all of our questions, and chose a dj that fit our style. The night of, he walked us thru all of the events & made us very comfortable. The dance floor was packed through out the evening and we heard all of our fave songs. And when he encountered unruly guests requesting songs not on our playlist, he handled them without a hitch. The sound quality and price were great

An Enchanted Evening was great to work with and played most of the songs I had on the list. There was just one short time in the wedding where the music seemed to lag just a bit, but it picked right back up and everyone was on the dance floor!

We had a great experience with An Enchanted Evening. We made an appt to meet in the Bridal mall in Shaumburg, and they gave us a great pitch. After some negotations, we signed with them. They have many DJ's that work with them, so they say that they try to find the right DJ for you. I gave them a list of music that I wanted (and did NOT want) at the wedding. Based on my tastes, they assigned a DJ to us, and I talked with him on the phone before the wedding. We reviewed music choices, DJ-ing style, must-plays, never-to-play lists, to-play-if-only-requested lists, etc... He made great suggestions of music I never would have thought of. Our DJ, Mike S, was perfect. He understood my taste, and kept the music modern but broad. I expressed to him that it was important to me that people were dancing constantly, and the dancefloor was packed the entire time. At one point not one person was sitting, and the dancefloor was overflowing. He found the balance between young and old, and he listened to my guests' suggestions. Mike also was the announcer for the reception, and was very professional yet enthusiastic. I cannot imagine having a better DJ. Mike asked all the right questions, understood our music tastes, understood the mood of our wedding, and kept the reception moving at a perfect pace.

I liked the DJ service a lot. The only thing the groom and I were wary about is the fact that the DJ had a video recorder that we were unaware of and did not approve. The music was great though and the DJ was very nice.

We had David for our DJ and he was wonderful! We only had a few songs on our request list, and David filled in the spaces wonderfully! David had our guests on the dance floor all night, and everyone had a fantastic time!Our only complaint with the company is their general responsiveness. We did deal with Mary on a couple of occasions, and generally she responded in a timely manner. This vendor was the vendor we were least confident in going into the wedding because of the little communication beforehand. However, once David arrived, everything went wonderfully, and we had a fantastic experience overall!

Our DJ did a fantastic job listening to our requests but also knowing what was going to get people on the dance floor. Our dance floor was packed all the way to the end of the night. I really liked the fact that the company purchased songs that they didn't have, just to make sure they fulfilled our requests. The only complaint I have is that I do not feel that their website is user friendly. I feel that it is out dated and could use an upgrade. However, overall very good choice.

Overall, we liked our DJ. We had originally booked/chosen a different DJ, but he terminated employment before our wedding. Be very specific as to what you are looking for and want. Also be sure that the DJ is clear on the processional order into the reception hall. Ou Dj was little confused - we had an less traditional way of announcing the wedding party though.

An enchanted evening did a great job of providing me with the service that I wanted!!! I am Mexican-American and my husband is African-american, so you can imagine the different genres of music that had to be met to the older generation and younger generation. Rubel was our DJ and I am very happy with how he balanced everything out. He even put up with me going up to him a couple of times to tell him what songs to play next. I am still receiving compliments on the music and how it made the night amazing.

The staff was very professional and responsive to our needs, especially since we booked them 2 weeks before the wedding! Our dj (Mike) was so helpful and took charge (but not in an obnoxious or obstrusive way) the day of the wedding. He played most of the songs we asked him to and he got the crowd going when it was needed.

Dave S. was our DJ. He was very nice and flexible to the songs we wanted played. He was at our ceremony and reception. We received complements from our guests on the music, but much of it was our choice. There were a few hard to get songs and they were able to clean up some "You Tube" music to make it beautiful. I would recommend setting up a meeting with them to see what they're all about and if their a perfect fit for you.

As a whole, I think Enchanted Evening is a good company. In the meetings we had booking the company, they were very outgoing and friendly and really gave us a good deal on their services. Their sound quality was great and they were very familiar with our wedding venue, Chevy Chase Country Club. The main reason we marked Enchanted Evening low was because of our actual DJ. With this company the specific DJ for your wedding is not decided until the week of your wedding. You are not able to pick out a specific DJ. We were told that we would hear from our DJ by Tuesday (were got married on a Friday) By Wednesday afternoon we still had not heard anything at all, so my husband contacted Enchanted Evening, and was told that we should have been contacted already and that they would find out what was going on. 10 minutes later our DJ finally called. That conversation went well, other than my husband having to repeatedly correct the DJ on the pronunciation of our last name, despite the DJ having a phonetic spelling already.He was on time for the wedding and very courteous. During the introductions, he again had to check with my husband on how to pronounce our name (which I appreciate so that it wasn't wrong, but by then he should have had it down...seriously it isn't a hard name) The icing on the cake was that he played the wrong song during our cake cutting. No one else knew obviously, but my husband and I noticed right away. Mainly just disappointed, but not an evening ruining experience. I will say that he was very helpful during dinner when we were doing speeches. He helped with the microphone when we had an extra surprise for the maid of honor for her birthday. He was very attentive during the speeches; my matron of honor had a quote from a song from our favorite artist in her speech and he personally came up to me later to see if I wanted him to play a song by that artist. I was impressed by that attention to detail. The dance floor was packed the whole night and he played a good mix of songs and I think got everything that we requested played. He did honor our request for our last song of the night too. All in all, the only thing that didn't go 100% according to plan for our entire wedding was this incident with the DJ, and all in all it wasn't a horrible experience. Its just that when everything else was so perfect, this little stuff is more noticeable to us. I think Enchanted Evening is a good company and I thought overall everything was good. I just wish that we could have personally met with the DJ or had contact with him much earlier than 2 days before the wedding. By then we had a lot of other things on our mind with out of town guests arriving, attire pick up etc. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like everyone is pretty pleased giving 5 star ratings. I recommend Enchanted Evening, I would just say contact your DJ ASAP and take extra time to go over everything that is important to you before hand twice or more

Overall the quality of the DJ was ok. The DJ was on time, professional, and fairly organized. Our biggest issue was that we took the time to use the online planning tool, and the DJ basically ignored our instructions until both myself and my wife went up to him several times to instuct him to play our play list, and stop playing songs that we asked him not to play. Our initial meeting with the company was very good. In our second meeting we watched video clips of the DJ's and selected our top 3 choices. Of course we ended getting our 3rd choice for a DJ. We also did not find out which DJ we were getting until 4 days before our wedding. Overall for the price we paid it was a good deal.

I was really unhappy with this DJ. I had a few dances that i wanted them to do and they did not do them until i asked a few to many times. Like my mom wanted to dance with my husband and we had it all picked out way in advance, but Mike played it at the end of the night. She was really upset that no one saw this.

I would recommend an Enchanted Evening based on cost. They are one of the most reasonable DJ services available. We were disappointed with the service we were provided. When we initially signed with them, their office was out of Elk Grove Village. When we tried to mail them a payment, it was returned to us. They had moved to Schaumburg and never bothered to inform their clients. It was apparently on their website, but it would have been nice to get a letter or email. We were then told we would get something special on the night of our wedding, but we never did. We had a meeting a couple weeks before the wedding night scheduled at 6:00 to go over our music selections, which we showed up early for. We had to sit in a room for an hour before our meeting begain. We were almost ready to just walk out. At this meeting, we were told we would hear from our DJ a week before the wedding. Our wedding was on a Saturday, and we still hadn't heard anything by Tuesday. My husband had to call to see what was going on. We were not too happy that we had to contact them, and of course we heard back from the DJ a few hours later. It would have been nice to have more time to talk/plan with him.The night of the wedding, our DJ did a pretty good job. He was definitely a friendly, fun guy. Our biggest issue was that he cut off our first dance songs early, and didn't play the correct song for the last song of the night. Our guests probably didn't notice, but it's something we won't forget.Based on another review, it appears that we are not the only ones with these types of problems. I would sugget to other couples to make sure you have an open mind just in case this happens to you. It will not ruin your night!

Wouldn't not recommend. My DJ was boring. After the wedding all of my guests kept commenting about how poor this DJ did. He did not get the guests going or excited. They screwed up my photo montage/slide show. Very embarrasing as people worked very hard on the photo montage and no one even got to see it.

I was very disappointed with our DJ (Larry.) Enchanted Evening seemed like a nice place and we were very excited to work with them. I'm not sure if maybe it was just DJ, but for us, he put a damper on our night. Prior to the wedding, we had a meeting letting Enchanted Evening know what songs we would like to have played. We spent nearly an hour at this meeting listing specific songs that we would like the DJ to play and the day of the wedding he only played a handful of them. This was our wedding, wa wanted certain songs to be at our reception and instead we felt that the DJ completely disregarded our wishes and just did what he felt was the right thing to do. Also, we had asked for the DJ to make an announcement prior to the bridal party dance song, explaining why we chose the song that we did .,.. and he didn't do it. This is just an example of the mistakes that were done that really ruined things for us. I would NOT recommend Larry as your DJ!!!

An Enchanted Evening was an extremely difficult company to work for. They did not return phone calls in a timely manner or address our concerns, like when we saw one of their DJ’s do a horrible job at a friends’ wedding. However, one of their DJ’s was amazing. Not only did he do everything he could to put us at ease, when the owner and his wife would not, he did an amazing job out our wedding. We would recommend our DJ, Scot Benus, only if he were to not be with An Enchanted Evening because this company was so horrible to work with.

I had a great wedding. The worse part about it was the DJ. He was terrible. So the whole process started with my now husband and I having a pre-meeting a few weeks before the wedding about what kind of songs we wanted played. We told the gentlemen please play decades then 2 hours of hip hop dance music towards the end of the night. We also gave him our do not play list. Everything sounded fine. A few days before the wedding, the DJ (who was going to host) called to confirm everything. We explained yet again what we wanted. My husband and I even gave the company a CD of music that we wanted all played during the pre-ceremony.

The day of the wedding he arrived early and set everything up. Great! About an hour before the ceremony (my husband and I were there taking pictures before the ceremony), I saw the DJ and I said, "Can you please play a lot of Michael Jackson music when his decade comes up." He seemed a little rough but responded, "Yea, okay, I got." I was like whatever. He'll do it. A little attitude won't ruin everything. Maybe it was because he was rushed? He did have to ask me questions about something he printed. He said it did not print correctly and wanted to verify everything. Perhaps he should have done that a day before the wedding?

During the wedding HE DID NOT DO WHAT WE ASKED. We asked for him to play decades. NEVER HAPPENED. I wanted music like Frank Sinatra during dinner. OH AND ANOTHER THING! No one noticed that I cut the cake. Everyone was like "When are you going?" I was like "done and done?" At least my photographer was there so I have proof that I cut the cake. Maybe he should have announced it a little louder? Right after dinner he played a song that I didn't like. Being the Bride, I thought I had vote power, right? He coped an attitude and was like, "I can't change it." I was like, "Change it." After a couple exchanges the song was changed. He played only one Michael Jackson song during the whole night.

Then as my husband and I were taking more pictures in the hall later in the night, I heard songs on the do NOT play list. Thank god I wasn't there to make him change another song.... The song choice he makde were okay later in the night, however I pretty much chose the last 6 songs for the night because did not play the music I wanted. I had songs on the MUST play list and only 2 were played an hour before we had to leave. After the honeymoon I was curious to know if the CD we gave the DJ to play before the ceremony ever got played. I was told my multiple people no. I bought songs so they could be played (The company did not have them) and they never were played.

My husband and I wrote a letter explaining how unhappy we were. I mean let's be real. We hired a professional company to go a great job not a mediocre/bad job. Would I be complaining if a paid some college student who did this on the side for $500? No, because I would understand the risk I would be taking. We did not ever hear from An Enchanted Evening. Nothing. No letter, no e-mail, no phone call.

I understand there are multiple people in this company. We had the guy would liked Mickey Mouse. So if you are to choose this company, PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE HIM.

Overall, I would have to say that this was the most disappointing part of our wedding, and I would NOT recommend this DJ company at all. I have gone to a lot of weddings where the DJ was bad, and I just hoped that this experience would be a little different. We actually found this company because a friend of ours used their DJ company at their wedding and the DJ at that wedding turned out to be okay. We were impressed by the sales presentation we were given and thought that the cost of the service was somewhat reasonable. Up until the day of the wedding, everything seemed to be going okay with the planning. However, the evening of the wedding turned out to be a disappointment for us and our DJ was nothing like the DJ we heard at our friends' wedding.At the reception, the DJ started off on the wrong foot by not re-confirming with the bridal party the correct pronunciation of everyone's names. Even though the names were written down phonetically on a sheet of paper, several names were STILL pronounced incorrectly and worst of all, the parents of the bride were introduced with a completely different last name!!! Think about how embarassing it is to get the parents' last names wrong!!! When you consider these are professionals who supposedly do weddings every weekend, you would think that they would make sure not to make these type of amateur mistakes. Apparently not the case with Enchanted Evening...The next mishap was announcing the toasts out of order. The Best Man was originally slated to go first, however, the DJ asked the bridesmaids over the speaker to give their toasts first. After noticing the mistake, the bride, my wife, went up to the DJ to ask if he could make a change and have the Best Man deliver his toast first. My wife was shot down and was told that it was too late, and the bridesmaids had to go first. There are different reasons people want toasts given in a specific order and small details like these should not be overlooked. The DJ could have easily announced over the speaker that there was a mistake and the Best Man would start off with the speeches instead. It just shows what a poor quality of service was given to us on our most important day.Next, we had asked the DJ to do the first dance immediately after we had given our own speeches. Again, we were shot down and the DJ said he would do it in about 10 minutes after dessert was served. For anyone that has had a wedding, you know how fast the night goes and how everything is on a set schedule so you can fit everything in during that one reception. When you are told to wait after repeatedly asking the DJ to do something, especially since this is someone you hired, it doesn't give you a very good feeling on that special day.Overall, I would have to say this DJ company was extremely disappointing. The biggest problem is that the head of the company gives a good sales pitch and really reels you in. Then one week before the wedding, they assign some random DJ to your reception who you haven't talked to and you aren't familiar with. So all the planning you have put together and communicated to the head people at the DJ company does not get communicated to the assigned DJ as well. Irregardless, we had a call with the DJ a few days beforehand to run through everything and yet, things still got screwed up.I guess what also was problematic was the DJ's attitude. He seemed very stand-offish, like he thought he should control everything because of his so-called 20 years of experience. Making mistakes is one thing, but being rude and disrespectful of the couple's wishes just fuels the fire. In the wedding industry, I believe the most important thing is to make the couple happy on that one day so you shouldn't treat it like it's some small event and you have to maintain 100% control because you are the "professional."One more thing to mention, a lot of these DJ's with the company are only part-time. They work full-time jobs and only do this as extra income on the weekends. Maybe that's why we were assigned a DJ that was so apathetic and didn't really care if, at the end of the night, we were happy or not with their service.I won't even get into the fact that the selection of music was not even to our liking. The bottom line is that I have wasted time and money with this company, and I would definitely tell any prospective clients NOT to use An Enchanted Evening unless you want to risk being disappointed.
