There's only one word to describe Andrew's pictures of our wedding... WOW!!!!! Andrew and his assistant were awesome on our wedding day and were able to capture so many details that I would have missed. The day goes by in a blur and we're so thankful that Andrew was able to create lasting images that will never fade.

Andrew has done an amazing job photographing our wedding. We received TONS of compliments on our wedding photos from literally everyone who had seen them, and even my brother who is a talented amateur photographer himself is in awe of Andrew's work. What made us choose Andrew as our wedding photographer is that his images were not just visually stunning, but also had an emotional impact, like looking at an art piece. Of course, the fact that he is just a really nice guy, very punctual and was willing to work with our budget did not hurt either. Andrew captured the emotion of our wedding day beautifully, in an unobtrusive and friendly manner. Our photos were ready and posted on-line less than 2 weeks after the wedding, while were still on our honeymoon. We ended up with about 700 gorgeous photos worthy of an editorial spread in a bridal magazine. "Modern Bride", here i come!

Andrew Weeks of Weeks Photography recently shot our wedding and he did an amazing job. He was so quick when he took the portraits and formal shots to make sure we would make it to the reception on time, however he took so many incredible shots. DO I REALLY NEED TO BOOK A PHOTOGRAPHER FOR ALL 24 HOURS OF MY WEDDING DAY? No. When it comes to documenting your big day, you are looking for a photographer, not a stalker. I usually suggest that brides have me arrive about 15 minutes before you start hair and make-up. This gives me a moment to say hello, and grab some detail shots of your dress, those fantastic shoes, and your sparkling rings before the real fun begins, as well as to document the process of getting ready for your walk down the aisle. And not to worry: no pesky little pictures of you without make-up on will work their way into your wedding album!SO, HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN TO HAVE MY PHOTOGRAPHER STAY AT OUR WEDDING? Naturally, a lot of determining how late your photographer stays will depend on the timeline of your reception. If, for example, you are doing a big send-off at the end of the night, you will probably want the photographer to stay for the duration of your party. If not, 3 to 4 hours at the reception is generally enough time to capture all the evening’s main events without making you feel like you’re on the clock. All of that being said, professionals understand that wedding day schedules can be unpredictable (I certainly do), and they aren’t going to stress if you end up needing them for a bit more time then you’d requested. Bottom line: Hire a photographer you trust and you won’t be looking over your shoulder, wondering if they’ve skipped out before the bouquet toss.HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED TO SET ASIDE FOR PORTRAITS? No one wants to spend their entire wedding day feeling like they are at a photo shoot, and missing the event itself. It is a great idea to take advantage of having your bridesmaids gathered around you before the ceremony, and to use the opportunity to grab group photos with some ladies that I’m guessing you care a lot about. This is also a fantastic time to get a few elegant portraits of you alone in that perfect dress you searched so long and hard for. Typically, all of this only takes about 10 minutes.After the ceremony, you’ll definitely want a few classic family and wedding party portraits (and even if you don’t, your mother will). The great news is that this doesn’t need to be a long, drawn out event that takes you away from your wedding. The only thing that ever holds up this process is looking for missing family members. Ahead of time, pull together a list of portrait participants, notify everyone involved of the plan, and designate your coordinator or a friend to be in charge of wrangling in any stragglers; this will ensure that you don’t miss your cocktail hour because Aunt Agnes disappeared to the punch bowl when it was her turn in front of the camera. I generally ask for 15 minutes with the bride and groom’s families, 5 to 10 minutes with the entire bridal party, and 5 minutes with just the happy couple. Then you can get back to the very significant task of enjoying the most important day of your life!I HEAR A LOT ABOUT “PHOTOJOURNALISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY”. WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN? To you on your wedding day, it means a great deal. It means that you can simply let the moments of your wedding happen, and be in them, rather than worry about whether or not they are being documented. Really consider your photographer’s approach before you sign on that dotted line. To my mind, a photojournalistic photographer should be an unobtrusive presence at your wedding, someone who captures those moments you didn’t even know anyone else witnessed; someone who at the end of all of your waiting, planning, and celebrating, delivers to you a collection of images that tell the beautiful and utterly unique story of your wedding day the way it really was.
