Rachael Lisa at Angel City Makeup was the makeup artist for my engagement pictures and for my wedding. I could not have been happier with her services and would recommend her above ANY artist in the city. After my engagement pictures came out everyone wanted to know two things 1) who was my photographer and 2) who did my make up.All of my bridesmaids were so excited to have Rachel do their makeup as well. She came to my bridal suite and one by one made us all feel beautiful!! Her airbrush technique is flawless. Our skin looked and felt amazing, not cakey or heavy and she matched our skin tones perfectly. She enhances the natural beauty within all of us. I never felt as beautiful as I did the day of my wedding and I have Rachel to help thank for that.Not only is she an amazing artist she's SO MUCH fun!!I give he 5 stars in every category and would give her more if I could! How unfortunate that I have to give any stars at all! Rachel was not only the worst vendor I worked with, but she pretty much scammed me and stole my deposit.
I scheduled a trial and paid a (cash at her request--apparently people were bouncing checks) deposit to Rachel in late February, confirmed her arrival time the night before my wedding (a month later), and woke up to a text message from "her neighbor" (from her phone number) telling me that Rachel would not be available because she was in the hospital for a fever. I'd give her the benefit of the doubt (maybe she actually got sick, maybe she was just hungover, but it would have been professional to offer at least another MUA's phone number), but I see new ads of hers posted on Craigslist since my wedding date, yet she apparently hasn't managed to get well enough to call me or return my messages about getting me my deposit back. I would not trust this vendor, and wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

I am so glad I can write a review about Rachel in a public forum! Rachel was so amazing...she listened to all of my concerns, didn't rush me through my trial run, patiently answered my endless questions, and ultimately ended up making me look exactly the way I had always dreamed I would on my wedding day. She was 110% professional, but also very friendly and really outgoing. Everyone in the bridal party loved her and her work, even my mother-in-law, who never wears makeup. So much so that 2 of my bridesmaids will be using her for THEIR weddings. Oh, and our pictures are AMAZING! Everyone looks very beautiful, classic, and not overdone. Rachel was worth every penny and more.
