We had a Christmas Themed wedding and hired Angeli Carriages for our “one horse open carriage” for our departure and a 30 min Carriage ride. Everyone at the company was so friendly and very happy to have our business (which I can’t say about other companies I called for information) that we went with them. The Victorian carriage arrived on time and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The driver (Angeli herself) was really nice and took my new hubby and I on the carriage ride passing by the State Capitol which was all decorated for Christmas. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

My husband and I used Angeli Carriages' Victorian carriage, drawn by Elysian, for our post-wedding send-off. After all the excitement of the wedding and reception, a nice, relaxing ride around downtown, just the two of us, was exactly what we needed. Our driver gave us just the right amount of attention and we thought it was perfect.

NO SHOW!!
NO CALLS! NO CLUE WHATSOEVER THAT ANGELI CARRIAGES WAS NOT GOING TO BE THERE AT ALL!! NO PRIOR INDICATIONS NOR ANY COMMUNICATION.

This despicable behavior came from this vendor after exchanging over a dozen emails, AND having personally met Lisa Siciliani two weeks prior for the transportation that was to be provided for the Indian Baraat! (where the wedding events start off when the Groom comes on a beautifully decorated horse to be welcomed by the Bride's family before the wedding ceremony).
We were willing to pay the top dollar for the full hour ($400-500) for her just ten minutes of service! It was a critical first minutes for starting off my first child's grand wedding.
Even After six months, I can still feel the emotion of our shock, utter disappointment, dismay, embarrassment, horror of No Show and a host of indescribable feelings because of what happened.
To find out minutes before! That too WHEN I CALLED Ms Siciliano of Angeli Carriages to let her know we were ready to come out to meet her and the beautifully decorated horse she was supposed to have brought.
SHE WAS NOT PLANNING TO BE THERE AT ALL!!.
The only reason given was mechanical failure. For the horse???? No carriage had been requested by us. Angeli and Lisa Siciliani Never planned on being there, Never attempted to inform us, Nor had any alternate arrangements for us! She very well knew that Timing was critical, they owned other horses, and they knew about this months before! She and the horse had done this ceremony before. She was well aware of the fact that this was an important part of the wedding event. Inexcusable.
I had chosen Angeli Carriages because Lisa Siciliano has reassured me that as Angeli was local, and the event was in her familiar area of Austin Downtown, I could depend on her being there on time. Could I ever be more mislead! (If I had chosen Christina of White Horse& Carriage with her assurances of their good-back up plans). If only...
To those of you who have spent months in planning, spending and putting all you have for you very first child's wedding, this is the ultimate insult to have it all thrown right back in your face at the very start of what is supposed to be filled with amazing memories of a lifetime! It is only thanks to my support system that I was able to get through the next few hours.
Just getting an email of your apology the next day won't cut it Lisa Siciiliani of Angeli Carriages. What you have done is inexcusable! Shame on you.

When I read the raving reviews on Wedding Wire, I had to let readers know that ON JUNE 18TH, 2011, LISA SICILIANI of ANGELI CARRIAGES had the ARROGANCE OF GETTING AWAY WITH THIS WITH THE ABOVE DESCRIBED UTTERLY SHAMELESS MANNER OF TREATING THEIR CLIENT (A MOTHER) IN AN EMOTIONAL SHAMBLE IN FRONT OF HUNDREDS OF HER GUESTS.
THIS VENDOR CAN ALSO SHOWS AN ABSOLUTE LACK OF BASIC DECENCY, COURTEOUSNESS, RESPONSIVENESS. ULTIMATE UNPROFESSIONALISM.

Many things mentioned in your reply was untrue. You never made attempts to reach me to let me know what was happening despite having all the contact info. I remember very clearly like it just happened:
The first time I learn about the NO SHOW was when I called Lisa Siciliani TEN minutes before the event.
I was so distraught and in shock that I had a family member call her back minutes later to confirm what she had said to me.
I was not offered ANY kind of services after the wedding. They were not going to be there. Period. I got the...

Unfortunately, a construction nail went through the sidewall of our tire on our horse trailer on I-35 less than two miles from the Baraat destination. Because it was the sidewall, the tire shredded before we were able to safely come to a stop on the side of the highway. We worked diligently to call friends who have horse trailers to come help, as it is not safe to unload a 2000 pound draft horse on the side of I-35. We still hoped to find a way to bring our horse. We were in communication and repeatedly apologized as we worked to find a way to get there.
When it became clear we would not be able to be there in time, we told the mother of the groom and another family member in two separate phone conversations.
It was quite understandable that our clients would be very upset. Of course there was no charge, and we would have been very humbled and grateful if we had been allowed to do more than repeatedly apologize, as we did offer our Vidaai services for free after the wedding. We completely understand their refusing, but we had hoped to demonstrate our sincere regret and sympathy.
Regarding our interaction, we try to be polite and respectful with everyone. This is the only time in over 4 years of operations that something like this has occurred and it still hurts us that we we failed this client regardless of the reason. We know that no words can recreate that day in the perfect way it should have gone. We always strive to do the very best for our clients and are truly saddened by not having been able provide our services this one time. No apology seems great enough.

The carriage was beautiful and the horse was amazing! The driver and everyone I talked to was very polite. I had to call at one point to change my order and the person answering the phone was actually on vacation! She still wrote my name down and the changes that I asked for instead of pawning me off on someone else.

Anjeli's Carriages provided a spectacular departure for us! The carriage was beautiful, and the scenic tour through downtown Austin hit all of our favorite spots. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride, which was extremely relaxing after the whole wedding process. Our families and friends were all very impressed as well!

The carriage arrived on time and was well dressed. It made our exit from the historic downtown chuch perfect. It was cheaper than a limo and made much more of a statement. We even made a pit stop in front of the capital for pictures. The leisurely ride gave us some down time before the big reception!

FAQ for Angeli Carriages
Angeli Carriages regularly serves clients within a 50 mile radius of Austin. Transportation fees may become a consideration for some clients at further distances, however we have traveled up to 300 miles for a special event.
How much do custom decorations cost?
We can create custom decorations in colors to match your event. Those in ribbon, tulle and silk floral typically range from $90 - $150. We are happy to provide a quote. Or if you have people who want to decorate the carriage for you, we will just add a bit of time to your reservation to allow for this.
What do you do in case of rain?
The carriages with folding tops offer some protection against a light sprinkle without heavy winds. Angeli's weather and cancellation policies are available upon request and are also a part of the reservation agreement.
Will you travel on any road?
We seek the quietest, safest and most appealing route between two locations. We prefer paved roads that have a speed limit of 35 mph or less, but exceptions are possible for certain roads. Hills, blind curves, the amount of traffic, number of lanes, whether there is a wide shoulder, and time of day (or night) are also considerations. In addition to the decorative lights, our carriages are equipped with headlights and tail lights, as well as reflectors.
Other items of note:
We can supply the groom or father of the bride with tips to help him smoothly assist the bride to and from the carriage. (Our brides seem to appreciate this.)
Parents or other loved ones may like to leave a note card in the carriage to be read by the bride before the ceremony or by the couple after the ceremony.
Arrangements may be made in advance to have refreshments waiting in the carriage. Angeli will be happy to work with caterers or event specialists to arrange this.
If you are reserving an Angeli horse-drawn carriage as a surprise gift for the groom or bride, be sure to tell us so that we can coordinate with staff at your venue to preserve the surprise. Horses are not known for being stealthy. They occasionally whinny when they are first unloaded from a trailer. “Hey, any other horses around?” We can unload the horse at a small distance and will park our equipment out of view.
Angeli typically arrives 30-60 minutes early to prepare, and clients are NOT charged for this time.
People are allowed to pet our horses, and we want to ensure this is done safety. We appreciate it when guests allow the Coachwoman to guide them regarding where and how each horse likes to be petted. And be sure to watch your feet when near the horses' hooves or carriage wheels. We ask that children be supervised by adults when around the horses and carriages.
Our horses are seasoned professionals and used to many human behaviors, but it is possible to rattle one. Angeli staff always tries to be diplomatic, but safety comes first.
Wedding parties and guests are allowed, even invited, to fall in love with Angeli’s horses. Hang on to your hearts ladies!
