Amazing, wonderful, brilliant. That is how I would describe Annie. I have never been a person comfortable in front of the camera, therefore finding a photographer for my wedding was a bit of a challenge. But as soon as I talked with Annie on the phone, I had a good feeling about her. So when we met in person later that week, hiring her was a no brainer. I am so happy that I did. Our wedding pictures are better than I could have ever imagined. Ever. My family was moved to tears over them. And the best part? Very few posed shots. She captured every feeling and memory about the day, while we were really able to enjoy the day and not worry about posing for pictures. When a photographer can do brilliant candids, that is truly special. I will have Annie do all my pictures in the future if I have my way. I have never looked better in any photos (and probably will not again unless she takes them)

Annie McElwain Photography was probably the best part of our wedding down in the Virgin Islands. She had been consistently been on top of everything, always asking about specific photographs, timeframes, etc. Her photography is top notch, and we got our pictures within a couple weeks (1000+). One of the best parts was that she never seemed to get in the way of anything that was going on but ended up getting the best possible shots. Everything was very artistic, and when put together on a slideshow, a friend of mine called it "angelic". Would recommend her to ANYONE out there looking for a photographer, especially one that is not looking for the everyday run of the mill group shots.

Annie did our engagement photos as well as our wedding. I couldn't begin to express the magnificance of our pictures. She is so talented in capturing the emotion of the moment. Now I can look back on my wedding day and remember the way I felt and how much fun I had just by flipping through my photo album. Annie is also so much fun to work with. She makes you feel so calm and comfortable on a day that can be so stressful. We had a great time and I think she did as well.
Oh yeah, I had my wedding in St. Thomas, USVI and Annie traveled all that way just to shoot my wedding. THANKS ANNIE!!!!

There are so many things that go into planning a wedding, but the one piece of that day that lasts the rest of my life is the gift of being able to relive it over and over again through the photographs. She spent hours learning the setting and meeting members of our families to determine the best placement, lighting, and angles to create the most perfect pictures. She also shot various parts of the wedding and reception on 9 Millimeter Film to create an eight minute video of the highlights- it looks like something from a dream. I can not stress enough: the most important money you spend on a wedding should go to the photographer/ videographer. I didn’t know how profoundly Annie’s work could change my life until I saw how her pictures captured the very essence of the love and excitement I felt on my wedding day, and now I can feel that way forever. Annie photographed my daughters wedding in Mexico 3 months ago. The wedding was a dream and she captured that dream for us in her photos. She is beyond talented.
