Blushing Bridal Makeup by Annie

My DOC recommended Annie to me - makeup was probably the hardest/most intimidating thing for me to research. She is very good with communication, and such a sweet person. When I had my trial with her, I felt very comfortable with her. I had initially asked for a smoky eye, but after seeing it on myself, I realized it wasn't for me. Well, Annie re-did my eye makeup on the spot, and it made all the difference in the world. She then told me that since I'd decided I wanted a more natural look, she would alter the color palette used for the day-of to be a softer look.

The thing that impressed me most about Annie is her professionalism and her genuine desire to make sure you are completely happy. When I emailed her to ask if I could book a second trial to try out the softer palette, and with some other makeup questions, she offered to do the second trial on the house.

I'll update after my second trial and the big day, but I am extremely happy with Annie so far! I have received impeccable service from her.

Second Trial - Annie was super sweet about doing a second trial to nail down the colors being used for the day-of, and I was really happy about how it turned out! I was able to schedule the trial on the same day as my e-pics and was very pleased about how the makeup photographed. Annie's willingness to do a second trial really made me feel at-ease about how things would go on our actually wedding day - she really cares about making sure you are 100% happy with how you look.

Update (7/4/09) - I was thrilled I booked Annie! On the day-of, she and her assistant came to our bridal suite and everything went like clockwork. She even brought her own iPod and speakers to play music while they worked - it really added to the calm, relaxed atmosphere while we were getting ready.

My bridesmaids were really happy with how their makeup turned out, and the mothers looked beautiful. My wedding day makeup was even better than my trials, and I got compliments all day. The airbrush was amazing - it lasted all day and night and I didn't even have to use the blotting sheets Annie gave me. It also felt so light, like I wasn't wearing any makeup at all. Highly recommend Annie! She's also doing my makeup for our banquet later this month - can't wait! :D

They both did a beautiful job-- I felt gorgeous and everyone told me how stunning I looked! They arrived right on time, got everyone done right on schedule (the BMs & moms got their hair/make up done too), and were a total blast to hang out with while we were getting ready. They also made my bridesmaids and our moms look amazing! Annie & Helena are extremely talented & professional, but also just so fun & calming-- which I think is important too since you are spending a good chunk of your wedding day w/ your hair & make up team. Annie was hands down one of my favorite vendors. After reading the reviews on PW and getting a list of possible make-up artists from my Coordinator, I decided to meet with Annie for a trial.

The trial was so fun. It was like girl talk while listening to Ingrid Michaelson. I had a blast. She took so much time and really listened to my wants and my vision for our wedding day. After she was finished, we worked together to make any modifications until I was 100% satisfied. She was very open to what I had to say and took so much time to work with me to make the look perfect!

The day of was even more amazing. She brought her warming personality and soothing presence into our living room and fit right in with the vibe of the day. She has such a calming presence that under her brushes, you really feel taken care of and relaxed.

I have had my make-up done many times in my profession, so I was afraid that I wouldn't feel like it was special "wedding day" make-up. But I can say with certainty that I have never EVER felt or looked more beautiful as I did that day, and I really have to thank Annie for that.

If you are looking for a make-up artist who really knows what she's doing and you want a confidant, calming, warm and genuine person helping you get ready on your wedding day...BOOK ANNIE!!!

Annie was amazing, I can't recommend her enough. I'd never had my makeup done and was really intimidate by the whole concept -- I didn't want my friends, family and husband to notice my makeup instead of me -- and Annie was a great. Not only was her makeup amazing -- not caked on, but looked spectacular in person, in pictures, and lasted through six hours of dancing -- but she brought amazing energy to the hour before all the madness. I was so happy I hired her, truly, and I feel so confident recommending her to everyone. She'll make you look and feel the best you ever have.

Annie was amazing! Not only did she make me look beautiful on my wedding day, but she helped keep the atmosphere calm while chaos surrounded us! She had an amazing attitude and went above and beyond in making sure everyone looked their best on the day of the wedding. Just to give an example, my mom had a hair crisis at the salon (they did NOT do a very good job) so after Annie finished my makeup, she offered to help my mom with her hair. It turned out beautifully and my mother couldn't have been more pleased. I was so happy that my mom could also look her best on my wedding day. Thank you Annie for doing such an amazing job!

Annie is unbelievable. She is incredibly talented at making you (ok, well, me!) look the best you possibly can, without plastering on a bunch of crap that makes it impossible for your skin to breathe!

From the moment I had my first trial with Annie, I knew I would be hiring her! Not only because of her good cheer and enthusiasm, but because I LOVED (loved!) the way I looked. I wore that trial makeup all afternoon, for my engagement photo shoot AND then for a night on the town. I still looked amazing when I peeled my eyelashes off that night.

She was a consumate professional when it came time for business, but she also was such a friendly voice throughout the wedding process, checking in when the time came close, so I didn't have to chase her around (an awesome thing in a vendor!). I was pretty nervous getting ready for my ceremony, but she came in with her professional makeup chair and radio and her positive energy just got me excited.

I know, I know, I'm gushing, but here is the thing. I looked fan-f-in-tastic. My guests and husband thought so anyway. I got compliments all night at how beautiful I looked. And, by the way...no zits following my wedding. Amazing, considering my sensitive skin.

Annie was a dream to work with. She does fantastic makeup and is very professional. She made me look very natural, yet enhanced. She’s particularly good at making sure the foundation is natural and not cakey. She’s a master with eyes, too. I went to 4 (yes, four!) trials with different makeup artists and wasn’t 100% happy until I met Annie. She is professional, dependable, and has serious talent. She has a very large collection of makeup (all of which she keeps extremely clean), and is the nicest person ever. She uses NARS, Smashbox, and other quality brands.

I've never felt prettier than I did on my wedding day. Blushing Bridal Makeup by Annie create the most perfect bridal look for me. I looked like myself: but extra special! We had a trial a few weeks before my wedding to solidify our makeup plan of action and Annie was very accommodating to my requests and ideas. On the day of the wedding, Annie was on time and followed the agenda perfectly, which is so important on a busy day. She comes equipped with a very professional kit and made me feel like I was on a movie set! I came across Blushing Bridal on this website. After going through TOO MANY makeup trials with other companies (who made me look like a raccoon!), I finally got in touch with Annie. She is such a sweetheart who truly wants you to feel as beautiful as you had imagined. She is extremely professional and takes notes during the trial just to make sure everything is perfect. She is worth every dollar and more! By the way, if you're a crier... not need to worry, my makeup stayed put the entire night!

I used Annie for myself and she also did my maid-of-honor and a couple other people in the wedding. I was thrilled! My make-up was perfect and everyone looked beautiful, yet natural. You want to feel beautiful on your wedding day and I did. She really listens to what you want. Not only is she super talented, but she's a delight to be with. She's really laid back and that's so important on such a big day. She's got a great attitude and she's a ton of fun. My hair was taking longer than expecteed, but she just rolled with the punches and worked around it. I highly recommend Annie to any bride.

Annie was a pleasure to work with! I felt very comfortable during my make-up trial. Annie made me feel at ease and I felt comfortable speaking to her about what I liked and what changes I had in mind. The day of the wedding she was on time and truly made me feel relaxed. Annie was amazing to work with. She was very nice and had a calming effect on me. I don't usually wear much makeup and Annie made me look very natural and beautiful. That morning I had gotten my hair done and forgot to bring my tiara to the hair appointment so I was going to go back that afternoon. Annie offered to put the tiara in for me so I didn't have to go back to the hair salon. I would recommend her to anybody.

Annie was absolutely amazing! I had a make-up trial a couple of months before my wedding and loved the work she had done. Come wedding day, she was punctual, professional and well equipped to service myself as well as two of my bridesmaids. In addition, she is calm and can make the most stressful situations relaxing. She did a beautiful job on all of us and I reccommend her to any bride.

Annie did an amazing job on make up for my wedding. She did her homework before hand by looking at photographs by my photographer and knew what she needed to do to make sure I stood out in our photos. I looked just like I dreamed I would-- like myself, but better. Not fussy, my skin tone matched perfectly (hard for fair person like me!), not caked on and my photos turned out great.

Besides being a master artist, Annie is so much to have around. What bride doesn't want a fun, energetic and understanding person around while they are getting ready for their special day? Annie brought life to the party-- not only to the pre-party, but the wedding itself, where she was on hand for touch ups through out the event.

I never had to worry for a second-- I knew that Annie would make me look fantastic and keep me looking that way. Throughout, her only concern was for me and how I was doing/feeling/looking. You can't pay enough to get that kind of service.

I couldn't have asked for my make-up on my wedding day to turn out better! She did an amazing job with keeping it natural looking yet better than my every day look. The best part was it lasted the entire day and night! She also did touch-ups on several of my bridesmaids too! We all enjoyed every minute Annie was there! Her laid back attitude makes her such a pleasure to work with. I would without a doubt send friends and family her way!

Annie came highly recommended after doing makeup at two friend's weddings, and didn't disappoint! She is incredibly talented and I was so pleased with my makeup on my wedding day.
