Anthony's Lake Club

Anthony's Lake Club was fantastic! My husband and I had our reception there and it was more than I could imagine. We decided to have the buffet and it was flawless. The people who we worked with were very professional and accommodating to our needs. Everyone was very impressed with the venue and loved he atmosphere. I would definitely have an event here again.

what ca I say about this venue:

Pros: The man who runs it was very professional and was very straigh forward about pricing, very flexible in how to get things done (table placements, ceremony, etc.)
The view is nice, it's right on a lake in Danbury. Their is a nice deck where your ceremony can be performed. There is also a gazebo out front (more on that in the cons section).

Cons:

The room is quite small. The gazebo out front is literally right next to the parking lot. The deck is a little too small/narrow for everyone to gather. The most odd part is that there is a gentleman's/Knights of Columbus type club next door. You haev the option of getting ready on the premises BUT you have to walk thru the gentlemen's bar to go downstairs to get dressed. The man who was running everything is indeed very nice, but very much had a tony soprano -type feel to him. Also, my fiance and I got lost trying to get there. This place is in the vicinity of a bungalow/trailer park. Also it can get noisy because it is also near an athletic field/park area. It is also across from the highway. Big time EEK here. I would definitely not recommend this place. too many complications and turn-off factors.

I loved the place. Rocco was awesome. I did not like the matre de. I felt he was pushy and bossy. He gave me attitude at one point when I didnt want to do something his way.

This was a great venue! They took care of all the little details and really made the day go very smooth. I would use them again in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone! Plus, their lakeside location makes a great backdrop for some very beautiful pictures!

My husband and I had the best experience with Anthony's Lake Club. We had our ceremony and reception there and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We paid for most of our wedding ourselves and being 23 and 24 we were on a strict budget, and Anthony's has so many packages and add ons to pick from that it made it so easy to fit into our budget. Our guests are still saying how much they enjoyed the food and the service. You definately get your money's worth at Anthony's
