I was really excited when we first booked with this officiant. His wife was very helpful and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the ceremony outline. The day of the wedding, the officiant showed up just minutes before the wedding was to begin. I was feeling a slight panic when I tried to call the phone number I was given and nobody answered. When the officiant arrived, his jacket looked "dirty" as if it was coverd in pet hair. The officiant did do the job we paid him to do and it flowed smoothly.

A Perfect Ceremony: State of Oklahoma Requirements
Since requirements may vary as each county in Oklahoma could have their own requirements, we recommend that you contact the Court Clerk of the county where you plan on getting married.
Oklahoma Requirements are: The license is good for 10 days and may be used anywhere in Oklahoma. It must be returned to the Court Clerk for recording within five (5) days of use.
You do not have to be a resident of Oklahoma.
ID Requirments: Drivers License or certified birth certificate or passport and his or her Social Security number.
Previous Marriage:Your divorce must be final. However, you may not get married for a period of six months after the divorce decree is filed. Having the divorce decree with you is a good idea.
As of November 1, 2004, you will not need to have a blood test.
Couples who take a premarital counseling course "conducted by a health professional or an official representative of a religious institution" will be charged only $5 for a marriage license. Check with the Court Clerk to make sure the course facilitator has been approved by the county.
OPTIONS FOR LICENSE DISCOUNT: Marriage Initive: Public Strategies 405-848-2171
The one-day workshop is for all couples married, engaged or considering it. Lunch is provided free of charge as well, and during lunch, there will be dance instruction for the couples to learn the "first dance" or just to have fun.
In addition, engaged couples that complete this workshop are eligible to receive their marriage license for only $5 rather than $50.
(Marriage Counseling is your option and not a requirement)
