Aperture Studios is a full service, professional photography studio offering on location and studio services. We strive for perfection in capturing the important moments and milestones in your life. Our photography team consists of Danny Arwood, head photographer, Sara Shaffer, head photographer and our newest member Rebekah Salyers, assistant photographer. Danny and Sara are highly qualified and have had great success working as a team for several years.

Danny Arwood has had a passion for photography since he was in high school when he picked up his first camera and hasn't put it down since. He graduated from the prestigious Savannah College of Art & Design where he double majored in Photography and Graphic Design. After earning his degree, he worked for a number of advertising agencies and design houses around the southeast. But, it wasn't until over 15 years ago that he started a job that has truly become the best job in the world, being a teacher. He is a Graphic Design teacher at a local high school and has just recently started teaching Digital Photography as well. Danny is able to inspire young artists to go for their dreams and give them the knowledge and tools to prepare them for their future. He has had a number of students win state competitions and represent Tennessee at the national level and has even brought back medals from the national competitions. And that is how he met his former student and now assistant photographer, Sara Shaffer.

Sara Shaffer has always had a passion for art but that passion really blossomed while taking Graphic Design classes taught by Danny Arwood. With Danny's guidance and effective teaching, Sara went on to win two state championships in Graphic Design and represented Tennessee at the national level. She was awarded art scholarships from Savannah College of Art & Design and East Tennessee State University. Sara was so inspired by what Danny had taught her that she decided that she wanted to inspire young artists as well so she became an Art teacher. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with major in Art and a minor in Education.

With their education and training, Danny and Sara make a great creative team that will be sure to "wow" you with their artistic ability. They are passionate about photography and capturing your unique personality in your photographs. Aperture Studios extends their services to include seniors, portraits, families, children, engagements, and weddings, all with free consultations.
