I adore April!

I can't even tell you how much fun I had with her the weekend of my wedding. Being in Northern California and April in Southern, she and I had never met before the wedding! When I picked her up from the airport, we clicked instantly and had a blast chatting all the way over to the wedding location, about 2 hours.

She came along to the rehearsal and it felt like just having another friend attend, it was so great! The day of the wedding she was so helpful and helped to keep everything calm in the midst of a crazy and rushed morning. Like many a bride, I was running behind, but despite the time crunch, she never faltered, always keeping her cool, making me feel relaxed, and she always kept a smile on her face!

The bestman mentioned to me that he has been in a few weddings and that he has NEVER had fun doing pictures like he did with April. We all laughed and joked around the whole time making for some great photos, of which April captured perfectly. She even brought along a boom box so that we could all listen to music while taking pictures, which gave rise to the groomsmen (especially the bestman!) thinking they were models! Too much fun!

Just a couple weeks ago I was able to see the first finished shots from the wedding along with our slideshow. Let me just say that I was moved to tears. The pictures are beyond words. April captured the very essence of what we worked so hard for with our wedding. She just gets it and it transfers so well in her images. Everyone that has viewed our pictures on April's blog has said how absolutely beautiful the shots turned out and I couldn't agree more.

I cannot thank April enough for not only being a wonderful person, and now friend, but being a wonderful photographer. Our wedding would not have been reflected as well without her.

I without a doubt would recommend April to any bride seeking a photographer. You will not be disappointed!

April was absolutely amazing. I found her through a friend where she had been the 2nd photog and was just starting out. My friend actually liked April's pictures better than her #1 photog. From the first phone call I had with April I was hooked. I already had her website memorized and just needed DH to like her too (there was some hesitation on his part because of other photogs we had met). As we were walking to the car after our initial meeting he turned to me and said book her. I was so excited.

We had a blast with April at Disneyland for our e-pics. She did an amazing job and was such a trooper bearing with us because we wanted photos in most of the obscure places so you didn't know it was Disneyland.

On my wedding day April arrived early was able to get set up and had brought her ipod w/a speaker-stereo which was a godsend because we had forgotten ours while getting ready. She had it with her while we did all of our other pics throughout the day too. She made sure to capture all of those special moments and asked me what photos I wanted and if I had any creative ideas. She was always open to suggestions. We had alot of fun with her throughout the entire day. She is an absolute doll and wonderful to have with you on that special day.

Seeing our pictures when they were available were amazing (but I must say a little overwhelming because there were so many-I believe over 1000). We went for a meeting to start work on the album (she had one started already) and it brought all of the emotions from the day back. She did an amazing job capturing the love between me & DH and the love of all of our friends and family.

I am so grateful that we chose April to be our photographer for our wedding day. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great reasonably priced photographer.

April was the first photographer we met with and we instantly fell in love with her! Her incredible work speaks for itself and we loved her style. On top of that, she was very sweet and down to earth and also put us at ease...we knew that we could definitely be ourselves around her. Just to be on the safe side we decided to meet with other photographers since she was the only one we had met with. All we could do was compare the other photographers to her and they didn't match up! That is when we knew our gut instinct was right when it told us to go with her. We immediately put down our deposit and couldn't be more excited about our decision!
We just had our engagement session with April last month and my fiance and I really enjoyed it! When we saw the photos from our engagement session, we were over the moon...they were incredible! Our friends and family love them as well. We are both looking forward to the wedding and what a great job April will do!

Absolutely unbelievable!! April is amazing! Our photog canceled and we were SO lucky that April was available. I emailed her and she called back within a few hours...from there we met 2 days later and I was hooked. She is darling, so personable, and just so nice! Hugs all around at the end of the meeting and she was booked!

We had several phone conversations and she helped me with other aspects, just because she's that kind of person.

So far, I've only had teasers on her blog but they are FABULOUS!!! She has a great eye. Remarkable style. I just can't say enough!!! Thanks April!!!

I absolutely adore April. She is such a kind, caring and compassionate person. My fiancé and I are thrilled that we are fortunate enough to have her as our wedding photographer.

We actually first met April at one of our friend's weddings and were both impressed with how attentive and "all over the place" she was. Seriously, if there was a special moment happening she was for sure there capturing it. It was this attention to all the details that led us to contacting her.

As soon as we met with her that first time, we knew she was the photographer for us. We enjoyed shooting our engagement session and were very impressed with the results- there were literally hundreds of wonderful shots! April's assistant Amanda, who is just as wonderful and talented, came and photographed our Engagement Party. We were so thrilled with the shots from the party we made sure to have April bring Amanda as the second shooter for our wedding.

Recently, we had an unexpected change of events (our wedding/reception location is closing) and we had to find a new venue. We knew that we wanted April as our photographer so when we had to change our wedding date to book at new location, we chose a date that April was available. She's that wonderful!

April has been such a delight to work with and I can not wait to have her capture our wedding day...I know I am in good hands(and view finder) with her!

April was absolutely WONDERFUL! She was such a joy to work with through all our wedding planning! From the very beginning, my husband and I felt so comfortable with her, and loved her style and approach to photography! We took our engagement pictures with her at Disneyland and had a blast going around two parks with her! She took gorgeous photos and was full of energy! She did a stellar job keeping in touch with us and was incredibly hospitable! The day of our wedding, she was AMAZING!!! She recommended we take photos before the ceremony and I'm so glad we did! Our "first glance" was probably one of our favorite memories! April played our first dance song and really made the moment special! What we absolutely LOVED about April's style is how she captures moments and emotions! We couldn't have asked for a better way to remember our wedding day! We re-live the day every time we look at our photos! She has wonderful ideas and an incredible eye for capturing the joy and "feel" of a wedding! She truly went above and beyond! April was absolutely incredible! I LOVED taking pictures with her...and this is coming from someone who doesn't enjoy her picture taken! April was kind, patient, and gave great direction! She had wonderful, creative ideas. Our pictures were unlike any others that I had ever seen. Her photos are unique and really leave you with memories of all parts of your day. She takes photos before the wedding, during, and after--and stays for the entire reception. She is careful to catch every single detail and will bend over backwards to make your pictures exactly what you want. I had traveled across the country to get married and she even took our engagement pictures just 4 days before the wedding so we could have those wonderful pictures. There are too many words to describe how wonderful our experience was with April. If I was to do it again, I would hire her over and over and over. She is worth every single penny and then some. We LOVE her.

April is an awesome photographer. My husband and I agree that we made a great choice for our wedding photography. After our first meeting with April we instantly knew we were going to hire her. She is very passionate about her work, she's professional and very attentive to your needs as a bride. As much as she is creative she was open to suggestions and a few ideas we had. On my wedding, things started a little hectic, our bouquettes were not ready on time, my family was late(yes, my immideate family, all part of the wedding party)and some things were not being set up how they were planned (e.g. decorations, personalized signs, name card table et., etc.), so I was frustrated and over whelmed. Oh and I must get this off my chest, as a wedding gift my husband bought me beautiful and rather unique diamond earrings (totally matched my wedding ring)that I was not able to wear because he designated my sister (one of my bridesmaids)to deliver them to me, but because she was late I was unable to wear them. I'm still giving her a hard time about it... April and her second shooter, Amanda made things a whole lot better. While Amanda headed off to take pictures of the guys, April looked at me and said, "Jeanette things like this happen all the time", she turned on her ipod/boom box to liven me up and she shuttered away. And even though we had to make some slight changes and improvise, the day turned out magical, literally an evening to remember and I got photos to prove it. I have not seen all my pictures yet, because it's only been a few weeks, but April has an awesome blog on her website to get a sneak peek at some photos. I go on it almost everyday to view my slideshow, the slideshow has the perfect song she added to it, and it makes me tear up a little. I had searched a long time one morning for a photographer. Then I came across April's web site. I fell in love with her pictures and I did not search any further. From the moment she answered the phone when I called her, I knew I wanted her to be our photographer without even meeting her. She was outgoing and very friendly.
The place we got married was beautiful inside but dark. I wanted outdoor pictures. April found a place close to our wedding location and I got my wish. There are no words to describe our wedding pictures. Although I have not seen all of my wedding pictures yet (because I just got married) they are amazing. Everyone says the slideshow April has on her blog is our teaser pictures. Infact I look on there everyday to see them. (I wont lie, sometiems it is a few times a day)
April has found her true calling and I would recomend her to anyone. And when it comes time for us to take family pictures... down the road, she does not know this yet but she will be getting a phone call.

April did an amazing job on our photos. We could not be happier with the outcome. She was very professional to work with and definitely knew what she was doing. I'm so excited we chose to go with April Smith Photography for our photos.

I can't tell you how gorgeous our wedding pictures came out! April is amazing! My husband and I wanted our wedding to be intimate and small and were initially against taking our pictures before the wedding. Our dilema was that our wedding was at 7 pm and if we wanted any photos with natural light that meant we would have to see eachother before the ceremony. We decided to go ahead and do it and we are so happy we did!

April set it up beautifully. She came fully prepared with her infamous pink ghetto blaster playing the perfect "first moment" love songs. The moment was so sweet. My husband was crying before he even turned around to see me. But even sweeter is how April captured every moment! From him wiping his tears before even turning around to see me, to the moment we both set eyes on eachother and kissed while crying together! When we saw the slide show created it had us once again in tears together.

April was a joy to have photograph our wedding. She was very organized and did great while working against the sun going down. I would recommend April over and over again. She has such a genuine sweet spirit. She loves what she does and it shows!

Working with April was a real treat! She has such a great and friendly personality. She was very easy to contact and her website was a GREAT resource. Ever since our first meeting, April was very careful to ask my future husband and me what we wanted and what we expected. She gave us some great ideas but ultimately she let us make the decision. April was also great to work with because she wasn't afraid to help make our dreams a reality -- even if they were a little "out there". On our wedding day, April was extremely professional and got so many AMAZING pictures. She was not pushy and she did not rush us. She remained calm and had great ideas. My husband and I will cherish the photographs of our wedding for many, many years to come. The quality well surpassed my expectations, which were set high to begin with. I would recommend her services without hesitation!!

April was absolutely amazing! She made our special day! We had a blast working with her! She is so fun loving. Such a great person. Her art is beautiful! She should be proud!

April is such a kind and wonderful soul and the most talented photographer I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. She is beyond talented and has a natural eye. Being a larger bride, I was very concerned about making sure that some of my flaws were hidden. I was honest and told her my concerns and she did her very best to help me. When she sent me the initial pictures she let me know that was very worried that I would be unhappy with the pictures, because she just wasnt experienced enough. She is just as worried about how you feel as how she feels about the whole experience. I cried when I saw the pictures she had taken, they were so good. I would recommend her to anyone.

On my wedding day she was calm, collected and just had a handle on everything. She also brought a small stereo to ease nerves.

I am so impressed with April. She takes the most beautiful and romantic photos that capture so much emotion. As I look back through the pictures, I can't help but feel everything I felt that day over again. Her pictures are absolutely incredible! She has a real talent for helping you to feel comfortable when taking pictures. Not only does April take amazing pictures, she also has a wonderful personality. She is such a kind, sweet person. April was willing to accommodate the events of my wedding. My wedding was not like most traditional weddings, and we had events over two days. She was willing to travel to the various destinations and captured wonderful shots. I feel so blessed that I found April. I don't think that day would have been has perfect as it was without her!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to find April for our simple, small outdoor winter wedding in Laguna Beach. We loved her energy and warm heart and her pictures were beautiful. Her professional and communication prior to the wedding was amazing and when our big day came, she proved to be irreplaceable and priceless. She managed to cover all the shots we wanted, despite the incooperative weather and even assisted with things such as attaching my veil when none of my girls or family could! She effortlessly and decreetly handled a couple delicate family matters and was amazing with my 5 year old goddaughter/flower girl (who still refers to our wedding as her "photo shoot"). There wasn't a guest that attended our wedding that didn't comment on how much they liked April, appreciated all her hard work and adored her pictures. We are now facing the difficult task of choosing! Based on our experiences, before, during and after the wedding, on her professinalism, reasonable rates and incredible character, my husband and I would highly recommend April Smith Photography. We were honored to have her as part of our day and to have her in our lives.

When I met April I knew she was the perfect photographer for us. She made us feel extremely comfortable and was very professional.
